"Slapping rabbits has never been this fun."
Rayman Raving Rabbids is a must-have game for the Wii, without a doubt. Everybody can play this game and enjoy it; it is not a kiddy game at all.
Graphics - 9/10
This game looks absolutely beautiful for a Wii game. The lighting and textures have been done wonderfully and overall just look clean, polished, and very next-gen. The bunny animations look fantastic and add to the humor of the game. Ubisoft has really done a good job with this game's visuals. Of course, if you're going to go ahead and compare the visuals of this game to, say, a game on the 360 or PS3, then you should go ahead and slap yourself in the face rather then a bunny. The PS 3 has $600 worth of hardware in it and so I would HOPE that the graphics would look amazing.
This is where the game really takes off. If you don't have fun playing this game, then you have a serious problem. If you haven't already discovered this, Rayman Raving Rabbids is NOT a traditional Rayman game. It is loaded with different party games that successfully utilize the unique Wii remote. The motion sensing works excellently. There is nothing better than taking your wii remote and slapping a bunny across the face. This is grade-A material right here.
Sound - 9/10
Very nice stuff again. The bunnies are what makes up most of the game's sounds, and they do one heck of a job. You'll even find yourself rockin' out to some real tunes like "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", completely remastered with bunny voices. Now that's reason enough to buy the game, don't you agree?
Replay Value - 10/10
This game is pretty much the "Mario Party Wii" for now. You'll definately keep coming back to this one both alone and with others. Playing the game with some friends is so much fun that you'll never want to play alone again.
Final Verdict - 10/10
If you have a Wii, this needs to be on your shelf. If it isn't, go get it. Right now. You won't regret it. However, if you're expecting a traditional Rayman platformer, look elsewhere. Like I mentioned before, this is a party game.
I, with great pleasure, give Rayman: Raving Rabbids 10 shrieking bunnies, out of 10.
