New disks dont freeze when transfering an easy file?

I heard that if you transfer an easy mode file from PoR that it freezes and messes up the game or something. And then I heard that its fixed with the newer disks. So... How do you know if you have a newer disk? I bought my game a couple of months ago (both PoR and RD), so is it new enough where it wont freeze?

You can only tell if you try. I know for a fact that they aren't doing the disk swap thing anymore, so if your copy is messed up, go though PoR on Normal...

If your disk was new a couple of months ago, it should be fine. If you got it used, however, than there really is no other way to tell besides just trying it out.

Often, this glitch comes with the game you originally buy. People who want to transfer an easy file from PoR get this glitch, and if they want to go through the hassle of getting it fixed they mail the game back to the company and request for one that doesn't have it. I would just play PoR on normal mode because it REALLY isn't that much harder than easy mode. And it saves time and money (if at all).

There's no way to tell if your game is the newer or the older version.

I recommend beating PoR on normal, it's really not worth the risk of trying out your version.

I have the bug on mine; it's not game-ruining, but its quite annoying to have frequently have the disk stop running, and getting a message saying the game cannot be read. The only fix I have found is to eject the disk, and put it back in, but the message will appear again soon after.

Update: As I have stated, my disk was bugged by data transferring; however, I have been testing the game on the WiiU and have found that the same bugged disk runs without any issues.
