Introduction

Super Paper Mario is the third game in the Paper Mario series, and this guide tells you about all the item shops in the game, what you can buy from them, and the selling price of each item. I have also included the items you can buy from the arcade and Flimm. I won't be including the card shops or the selling price of each card, as this guide deals primarily with items and not cards. I am also not including any information on the items you can buy in the Pit of 100 Trials, as this guide is a shopping guide, and the Pit is not a good place to go shopping for items, due to the inconvenience and inflated prices.

The Shops

There are 4 main shops in Super Paper Mario. Each shops sells a variety of items, and each shop buys your items for varying prices. The shop locations are below.

  • Flipside, on floor 2 near the Flipside Tower
  • Flopside, on floor 2 near the Flopside Tower
  • Yold Town, in Chapter 1-2
  • Downtown of Crag, the first area of Chapter 5-1

There are also several Itty Bits shops. You need the pixl named Dottie to become small to enter the shops. The shop locations are below.

  • Flipside, in Basement 1 where Flimm is. Go into the water near the arcade to get there.
  • Flopside, in Basement 1 where the person that sells maps is. It's in the equivalent location as the one in Flipside.
  • Dotwood Tree, at the base of the tree. Chapter 3-3.
  • Downtown of Crag, just to the right of where you land after entering the chapter. Chapter 5-1.
  • Overthere, on the same screen as the bridge created with the 3 orbs. Go to the top of the building before the bridge with Luigi. Chapter 7-4.

There is also a shop in space, in Chapter 4-3, called the Twinkle Mart. You will be required to go there to complete the chapter.

Below is detailed information of each item in the game. Some items are not included, like catch cards, medals, and other items that you typically don't use in recipes or carry around with you. The entries are in the following format:

  • Ingredients (if it's a recipe)
    • The first ingredient
    • The second ingredient (if there is one)
  • Buy
    • the amount of coins it costs to buy the item, the location where you can buy the item (if the item in question is a recipe, the name of the ingredient will be here instead, followed by the lowest buying price of that item. You can click on the item to jump to the corresponding section in this list to view more detailed information.)
    • repeat for each location you can buy it that has a different price, this section is listed in increasing price
  • Sell
    • the selling price of the item, the location(s) where you can sell it for this price
    • repeat for each location that has a different price, this section is listed in decreasing price
  • Profit: The maximum amount of profit you can get from the item, if you buy low and sell high.
  • Recipes (the purpose of this section is to see the recipes that can be made using the item, if the profit is too low to your liking)
    • The name of the recipe that uses it, if there is one (you can click on the link to jump to that section)
    • repeat for each recipe

Flimm is not included when finding the maximum profit, since his inventory changes occasionally and has a limited number of items. However, since the only way to buy a Shooting Star is through the arcade (which uses tokens and thus is inaccurate for something like this since you can get tokens from playing games) and through Flimm, Flimm will be included for profit for the Shooting Star, since the price of the Shootng Star in tokens translates to a massive 225 coins.
