How do you beat the Smugglers run ace bonus objective?

I have heard thet the smuggler's run ace objective is to destroy 2 cargo planes at the two airports. I have seen them and tried to attack but Divot keeps yelling "friendly fire!". I briefly got a lock on one but it would't die and the pilot yelled "Engines on fire!". What do I do?

Answer

They have a lot of hit points so if you keep shootnig them the should eventually explode. But if you are aiming at the airport that is wrong the cargo plane is in the forest on both islands.

On your d-pad (the plus on the wii remote double tap the one closest to the screen be careful you have a limited view of the sides
