What is a standing mini turbo or how do you use it?
I see pros talk about it with the flame runner and mach bike i think. I think its supposed to be used if you bump into a wall or take a hit from an item

Example: While not moving, hold the brake button, and the accelerate button. Once you see blue sparks, release the brake button. This is a faster to accelerate from a standstill, such as when you're hit by an item, then accelerating normally. However, it only applies to certain vehicles (most commonly the Mach Bike, Flame Runner, etc.)
If the acceleration stat is lined up with the L of acceleration or past it, it's best to not use a standstill mini-turbo.

To use a stand-still mini turbo, press and hold the brake button. Then, press and hold gas, and you will start to see small sparks such as drifting. As soon as your blue sparks come, release brake to rocket foreward for a split second like you can do at the start of a race.
However, like CrimsonCerberus said, some karts/bikes with high acceleration have a faster accel rate than waiting for sparks to come anyway, so experiment with different karts/bikes you use to see if it will work and be faster. A good place to test this is time trial, since you have unlimited time on any specific track.
