"Very well done, few minor problems"
Well, I've had this game since it came out and it still isn't boring to me...To those of you that do not like this game are probably just not good at it. Now on to the review.
This Mario Kart is the best so far, it allows you to play in a brand new style (the Wii Wheel), and the old school style (Classic Controller or Gamecube Controller). The levels have music that fit them perfectly, nice upbeat songs for places such as Rainbow Road and some not so happy songs for places such as Bowser's Castle. It's also introduced some things they haven't shown in other Mario Karts. You can now ride motorcycles along with karts. And they added some pretty cool things such as tricks and wheelies to boost your speed.
You can't forget the original levels too. They've added maps from SNES all the way to the DS and Gamecube, so you can race for the win in Nintendo's old school levels.
The online gameplay is great. You can race people from your own friends to people around the world. The level selecting online is kind of fair, sometimes it picks the same person a couple times, but its just luck. You can pretty much show-off too if you get star rankings on Grand Prix mode since it shows your ranking next to your name while playing. You can also go online with another person to either help you win some races for your score or compete against you. And when you do Time Trials (If you're able to go online) your times get posted on the Mario Kart Channel. Speaking of the Mario Kart Channel..you can enter tournaments which are renewed every 2 weeks or so.
You can Battle online along with many random people too. I wouldn't recommend it though. Since it's not like Microsoft where you can talk to other players. You won't believe how many people go online to screw over the team they're on. Some people just sit there and give the other team points which is basically an automatic win. Sometimes you'll get lucky and have some fun online though.
There's one flaw though. The AI. Sometimes they are stupidly hard to beat and sometimes they're a bunch of idiots. Grand Prix, they usually get a lot of blue shells, at least once per lap for me. On Battle, one team of computers is better than the other. It's a matter of luck for you if you got on the team with the good computers or bad ones. It's much better if you have a friend or family member playing with you on battle because it wouldn't be luck anymore.
Overall, Mario Kart Wii is the best. It may have some bad moments, but there are many more good moments than bad.
