"Mario Kart Wii: Casual gamers will love this one."
Mario Kart Wii is an amazing video game. With its wonderful graphics, Wi-Fi connection, etc., it is by far one of the greatest Wii games of all time.
The Nintendo Wii Wi-Fi Connection makes this game extremely fun and interactive. If you do VS and you haven't unlocked EVERY course, with Wi-Fi you can play courses that you haven't unlocked yet! You can also play your friends who also have this game. You can even chat a bit with the pre-made messages while you are waiting for your other buddies to join in!
The Wii Remote and Wii Wheel enhance your playing even more. When using either of those controls, you will feel like you're actually in a race car in a real race! You can also use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, the Classic Remote, or the Gamecube Controller. I suggest that you should try using each one of those controllers to see how much it "fits" you.
To add to all of this, you can also have the driver be your Mii that you selected for your license! You just have to unlock a few things. When you pick out your kart, you can see it's acceleration, speed, drift, and handling, which is helpful to you so you can see how well you could do in a race.
If you add the Mario Kart channel to your Wii Menu, you can compete in tournaments, compare your race scores with people around the world and your buddies, race a ghost, and more fun options!
There are many new amazing tracks that Nintendo has designed for you--just hope that your kart has good enough handling to turn very sharp corners to avoid falling off the edge! They even put in some old tracks that you may remember from previous Mario Karts -- even from way back into the SNES days! For those who just obtained the Wii and no other console, these tracks will be all new to you.
There is a new Battle option -- the original Balloon Popping game, and now there is a new game where you try to collect coins! The team with the most coins win. If you hit someone else with an item, they will lose coins, giving you the chance to collect them for your team.
This game is almost a 10/10 -- it does have some control problems. If you're about to hit a wall and you want to do a sharp turn to the right, sometimes your car won't turn fast enough, even if it does have good handling!
This game is for all ages. Everyone will enjoy it, and it's for a casual gamer.
