================================
~~~~~[001]Basics & Controls~~~~~
================================
This game isn't a hardcore game which will require constant monitoring
and one where dying is common; this is what I like to call a "Casual
Gaming" game.  Something you can pick up for a couple of hours, get a
bit farther, and turn it off knowing that it'll be just as friendly to you
when you pick it up sometime later. Since you bought the game, you
know this... but incase you didn't, this is the only warning you get.
-----------------------------
-----[001.1]Game Content-----
-----------------------------
This game is a farming simulation, dating simulation, combat, and
crafting game.If that seems a bit much, don't start worrying; the game
is simple, fun and pretty easy to get the hang of.
You take the role of a young boy who, having lost his memory in a
village, was taken care of by a girl named Mist. One day she disappears
so you head off to find her. Luckily she didn't get too far, and you end
up living in a new town, Trampoli (Trampoline much?), on a run-down
farm as her neighbor. Like I said, this is a farming simulator game, so
you must take care of plants on your field(and in dungeons, but we will
get to that), and gather creatures (actually monsters found in
dungeons again, we will tackle that later) so you can make money for
things you need. As you progress, you get introduced to many girls
around town and of course, as the pimping young man you are, you try
to court them. As a dating simulator it is very easy; talking to girls,
giving them gifts and completing requests makes them like you, giving
them things they don't like makes them not like you (go figure). Simple
and even simpler since I'll later tell you -what- they like. Combat in this
game happens only in dungeons (there are four, but you start with
only one open) and it is straight forward. There is no shielding,
dodging, combos so don't look for it. Choose a weapon (for melee)or
magic staff (for range) and go around bopping things off. Kill enough
creatures, and you level up, which gives you more Hitpoints and
Defense (mostly Useful for combat but only slightly useful for
farming).  Finally, there are skills and skill points which increase the
more you use the skill. You can make food, weapons, potions, fish,
farm, chop trees, smash rocks... etc; we will examine them closer later.
But that is the gist of the game; there is no real end, besides getting
married, having a kid, and fully updating your house... if you are
meticulous then max skills might be on your list also. But never mind
that.
-------------------------
-----[001.2]Controls-----
-------------------------
The game can be controlled with a Wii Classic Controller or a
Wiimote+Nunchuk. Since the controls are simple and gameplay does
not demand heavy controller precision, I suggest just using the
Wiimote+Nunchuk.
-----[001.4]Stats/Skills-----
-----------------------------
As you do various things in Rune Factory Frontier, you will gain
experience in a related skill. Once you gain enough experience, you
will level-up in that particular skill and you will be more efficient when
using that skill. That being said, you only really notice a difference after
several levels. There are two things to note however: there is a
difference between -your- level and a -skill- level, and that it is -your-
level which increases stats, hp, attack, magic and defense We will get
into that in a second.
==============================
~~~~~[002]People & Places~~~~~
==============================
Something to note about Rune Factory Frontier in comparison to all
other games with similar gameplay models is that it is pretty big, and all
people you meet can be influenced by your talking to them and giving
them gifts. Certain "quests" can only be opened with a high enough
friendship level, and of the twelve girls you can marry, each of them
must have a certain amount of love for you to choose to marry you.
Keeping this in mind, try talking to everyone to get the full content of
the game.

--------------------------------
-----[002.1]Main Characters-----
--------------------------------
The Main characters are the ones that really influence the way you
play, and your goals in the game. That being said, your whole life
revolves around twelve beautiful girls and like in reality, they will make
you work at it if you want them to be yours. These are the only girls
you can marry, any other rumors are just that; rumors.

<>>>>>Raguna, The Unsuspecting Hero?
Raguna is the character you control. You can change his name if you
like (I suspect it was supposed to be translated as Laguna). Like I said
before he lost his memory and came chasing after the only girl he
remembers and who helped him. Make some mysterious past if you
like... he really doesn't come pre-packaged with anything.

<>>>>>Mist, The Airy Neighbor
Mist lives on the Beach Road in a cute little house with a pond. Later in
the story, it turns out there are ruins in the field in front of her house,
and as the good neighbor you clear the field so you can get at the tasty
critters inside. Mist is a very soft-spoken girl, and arguably the easiest
of the girls to marry. She can be courted from the beginning of the
game.

>Appearance: Beginning of the game

        Emery Flowers    (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Pickled Turnips, When you sell turnips

<>>>>>Rosetta, The Delivery Girl
Rosetta comes from the town both you and Mist just left from. She is a
good friend of Mist, and she helps run a shop with her dad in the
previous village. She is a strong-voiced girl who has a knack at sales.
Later in the story she will open a shop in town which will sell flower
seeds which are very important to marrying the girls.

>Appearance: Beginning of the game

>Dislikes: Milk, Empty delivery box, weeds/flops(bad food) in the
           deliver bin

Note: you -can- sell weeds, flop meals, and turnips without adverse
      effects; just do not be at Homestead at 5PM (Delivery time)

<>>>>>Eunice, The Innkeeps' Daughter
Eunice is a sweet girl who does the laundry and helps out around the
Inn located in town. She seems a little over-weight, but she is a really
nice girl to go after. She seems mature in the fact she can run a
household very well, but she is also a bit immature (she asks Raguna if
he can fly)

>Appearance: Beginning of the game
>Birthday: Fall 17
>Likes: When you Cook  (+1LP)
        Flowers        (+3LP)

        Cheesecake     (+3LP)
        Montblanc      (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Fish(any)

<>>>>>Anette, The Rocket Mail girl
Anette is one fast girl! You can only talk to her at 6:45am as she passes
your house. She runs so fast she leaves sparks, so be prepared when
you want to talk to her. She is a responsible girl and takes her job
seriously so she's a pretty good match.

>Appearance: Beginning of the game
>Birthday: Winter 4
>Likes: When you get your mail by talking to her (+1LP)

        Pumpkin Tart                             (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Eggplant

<>>>>>Melody, The Bathhouse Owner
Melody is a cute girl who opens up a Hot spring bathhouse in town
after you find her in Whale Island. She is dressed like a Witch (sort of)
and like making potions. Her voice is slightly too pitchy for me, but
whatever you will be spending a lot of time visiting her!

>Appearance: Follow the right paths in Whale Island and you will find
her.
>Birthday: Spring 11
>Likes: When you take a bath (+1LP)
        Red Grass            (+3LP)
        Yellow Grass         (+3LP)
        Orange Grass         (+3LP)
        Relax Tea            (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Mayonnaise        (-3LP)

Note: Do not give her the other Grass colors; they only count as +1LP
      and are "rarer" to find.

<>>>>>Lara, The Caring Nurse
Lara is a nurse who came to Trampoli and decides to stay once she
finds out how badly you take care of yourself (She stays just for you...
this guy must have all the right pheromones). She dresses similarly to a
nun, but she can be married, so I doubt she is nun in the traditional
sense. That being said, she will assure that you stay well, and gets
angry if you faint or get sick.

>Appearance: After you visit Mist when she is sick, you will pass out
             the next day and be found by Lara.
>Birthday: Winter 1
>Likes: Strawberry     (+3LP)
        French toast   (+3LP)

        Hot Cake       (+3LP)
        Jam (any)      (+3LP)
        Chocolate Cake (+9LP)
>Dislikes: When you Faint or get sick and Veggie Juice

<>>>>>Selphy, The Librarian
Selphy is a girl who loves her books and will sell you books she no
longer thinks need to be in the Rune Library. She is a fun character, and
breaks the old stereotype of the quite, bookish librarian. For a
librarian, she's a real loudmouth!

>Appearance: She comes to the town the day after Lara.
>Birthday: Fall3
>Likes: When you read books (+1LP)
        Rice ball            (+3LP)
        Baked Rice Ball      (+3LP)
        Sandwich             (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Jewels

<>>>>>Cinnamon, The Stargazer
Cinnamon...is so quiet... She has a cute and mysterious air around her
which is very nice. Plus she is very smart and kind but very reserved. It
will talk a lot of work to get her, but she'd be worth it.

>Appearance: After Kanno arrives and talks to you about his
granddaughters
>Birthday: Spring 26
>Likes: When you look at constellations (+1LP)
        Fish (any)                      (+3LP)
        Magic Crystals                  (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Cucumber

<>>>>>Uzuki, The Battle Maiden
Uzuki is one of two Lolita's in this game, and the only one you can
marry. She seems childish, but skilled with an Oriental-styled polearm.
She has this spirit protector who always follows her... that's why I
stayed away from her... it would be creepy doing anything with that
guy watching.

>Appearance: Entering the Inn on either the 12th or 11th of spring
>Birthday: Summer 15
>Likes: Fish (any)     (+3LP)
        Golden Hairpin (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Vegetables

<>>>>>Bianca, The Prideful Millionaire
>Appearance: During the summer a mansion will be built for her to live
in, Ta-Da!
>Birthday: Summer 8
>Likes: When you talk to her (+???LP)
>Dislikes: Rice Ball

Note: She will leave unless you give her the pink elephant from Whale
Island. This can only be done during the summer and only on certain days.
Do it as soon as possible to avoid losing her until the following summer.

Note: No gifts for Bianca! She can only be softened-up with your
sweet-talking

<>>>>>Tabatha, The Patient Maid
Tabatha is a soft girl who wakes up early and does everything for the
rich Bianca. She is kind though, and wants the best for Bianca. Unlike
Bianca, Tabatha is kind, approachable and not stuck-up.

>Appearance: She comes along with Bianca
>Birthday: Fall 12
>Likes: Apple             (+3LP)
        Mixed Juice       (+3LP)
        Four-leaf Clover  (+3LP)
        Mixed Ole         (+3LP)
        Oatmeal           (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Sashimi (any)

Note: If you don't get Bianca to stay, Tabatha will leave as well!

<>>>>>Iris, The Twilight Twins
These girls are known as Iris Blanche and Iris Noir ("noir" means black in
French, and "Blanche" means white in French) and they are twin
vampires. Yep, that's right, vampires. People say they are the hardest
girls to get, but not if you know what you are doing. By the way, their
likes and dislikes also betray their truth; Vampires cannot approach
Garlic, and Tomato Juice looks kind of like blood. Yay for subliminal
messaging.

>Appearance: Plant Moondrop Flowers in the flower patch on Whale
Island which is in front of a tower (there is a cut scene, the patch is
always clear, and there is a message which tells you "the moonlight shine
brightly here")
>Birthday: Winder 23
>Likes: Flowers (any)  (+3LP)
        Tomato Juice   (+9LP)
>Dislikes: Garlic

-----------------------------------
-----[002.2]Support Characters-----
-----------------------------------
I'm not going too far into detail with these characters since you cannot
marry them. They each have memorable aspects, but you can find that
all out yourself.

-----[002.3]Town of Trampoli-----
---------------------------------
The town of Trampoli is pretty big, so we will be looking at each area
and what you can expect from them. Of course, some of the things I
will describe will only happen later in the game, but the fact of the
matter is that when it does happen, it will be in the area I described! I'll
try to keep this as up to date as possible.

|____________________________________________________________________________|
Note: Arrows denote passage from one area to another.

<>>>>>Homestead

Home: This is your house. When you upgrade anything with Lute or
Kross, it will automatically be built as part of your house. As you upgrade,
the physical look of the house changes as well.

Field: You field which will likely be the main source of your income and
main drain on your time. Rocks can be smashed with hammers, logs can
be chopped with axes, and everything else you can pick by hand.

Barn: Only appears after you pay Kross to build a barn. Any cut fodder
from your field automatically goes here, and any monster you capture
with the Pet Brush will come here as long as there is room. Monsters eat
fodder every day, so make sure you make a good stock of fodder before
getting many animals.

Ship Box: When you put items in here, Rosetta will come by (at 5:25PM
if you are on the field or 5PM if you are away) and automatically pay you
for the goods.

Lumber Stock: Whenever you chop wood anywhere be it in dungeons or on your
field, it will accumulate here. You will need around 2000 wood to upgrade
everything... so don't be afraid of using that axe.

<>>>>>Road to the Beach

Mist's House: The main heroine's home. You can visit her here every so often.

Green Ruins Entrance: These will only open up after Mist talks to you
about a strange dream, and you need a Sickle to get them open.

<>>>>>Beach

Changing Room: You can only enter here during the summer. If you
hear humming from inside, that means there is a girl changing. Opening the
door will give a silly scene with each girl. Also, you can get in your bathing
suit.

Fish Drying Racks: Only works during the winter season. You can bring a
single fish each day and have it dried. Dried fish is a favorite food of Erik.

<>>>>>Church District

Bean stock: This is the shining plant in front of the Clock Tower. Water
            it, and you can climb it to the Whale Island.

Clock Tower: This building opens up only after Kanno moves to
             Trampoli on Spring 7.

St.Poli Church: This is the first building you enter. When you faint, you
                will wake up here.

Big Tree:???

Rune Archives: This building is the library in Rune Factory Frontier.
               Wait until after Selphy moves to Trampoli and start reading the
               books!

Ice Ruins: Another Ruin... Yay.

<>>>>>South District

Erik's House: Erik is the friendly farmer. He sells you all sorts of seeds,
              and a few items change each season.

Kross' House: Kross is the lonely carpenter. Talk to him when you need
              your house upgraded.

Villa de St.Coquille: This building appears on Summer 1. Both Tabatha
                      and Bianca live here.

<>>>>>Business District

Tavern Snowstyle: This is the tavern run by Rita. At night you can buy
                  "rare" cooking goods, and many adults can be found drinking
                  here.

Sunshine Inn: This is the inn run by Turner. Nothing important here.

Damascus Forge: The forge run by the Elven beauty Ganesha. You can
                buy low-tier weapons, but great elemental crystals.

Laga Springs: Opens after you find Melody in the Whale Island. You can
              take a bath here for 10gold which fully restores HP/RP.

Grocery Store Materia: Rosetta opens this store up after she disagrees
                       with her father.

Danny's Groceries: This is run by Danny, but he sells nothing of
                   interest. Nothing at all.

<>>>>>Public Square

Stone Monument: A mysterious stone with a singing voice coming
                from within...

<>>>>>Lake Poli

Cornucopia Trees: Rare fruits grow in these trees. Knock them down
                  with a hammer. Fruit re-grows about 1 fruit a day up to a
                  maximum of 4 fruits per tree.

Bean sprout: This is another route up to Whale Island on holidays.

Big Bridge: the bridge which leads to Lake Poli... Why it is on the map, I
            have no idea.

Cherry Tree:???

<>>>>>Mountain Road

Lava Ruins: Another ruin... Yay.

Cornucopia Trees: Rare fruits grow in these trees. Knock them down
            with a hammer. Fruit re-grows about 1 fruit a day up to a maximum
            of 3 fruits per tree.

Mt.Poli Observatory: After you talk to Cinnamon about constellations,
                     you can view them from this lookout.

================================
~~~~~[003]Items & Materials~~~~~
================================
There is a huge amount of items that you can collect in Rune Factory Frontier
and each item can be found in various "levels". To properly complete the game
and have the best crafted gear for yoru character, you are going to need to
spend some time searching for the items you need. Here you will find a list of
all items that can be found, outside of upgrading or creation (which will be
examined later).
---------------------------
-----[003.1]Farm Tools-----
---------------------------
These are the locations of the starting tools. Each tool can be upgraded, and
cannot be sold. Upgrades for Farm Tools will be outlined in the Recipes
section.
Cheap Hoe           - Obtained from Mist. Automatically given.
Cheap Watering Can  - Obtained from Mist. Automatically given.
Cheap Sickle        - Obtained from Erik. After a few days, talk to him.
Cheap Hammer        - Obtained from Melody. After releasing the hot spring.
Cheap Axe           - Obtained from Stella. After a few days, talk to her.
Pet Glove           - Obtained from Kross. Visit Whale Island.
Harvester           - Obtained from Candy. Talk to her about Runeys.
Cheap Fishing Pole  - Obtained from Cinnamon. Find her fishing.
----------------------
-----[003.2]Crops-----
----------------------
These are the crops you can grow on any tilled land. Seasonal crops will die
if they are grown in the wrong season. That being said, don't do it. If you
need a crop from a particular season, remember that each dungeon has fields
which you can till, and they can support your crops. See the Dungeons section
for more information.
-----[003.3]Fish-----
---------------------
Fishing is a great way to make some money, and to get your cooking up (through
the recipies for sashimi). You will first need a Fishing rod, and then you
can fish at any body of water. Water deep in the dunegons have rarer fish who
are worth more, and using your special attack will give you higher-level fish.
Books hold all the different recipes and instructions you need to do anything.
You do not actually need the recipe books, but if you want them to show up in
the lists, you must buy the books. Otherwise you can just put in items which
form a proper recipe and make it that way.
~~~~~[004]Recipes & Manuals~~~~~
================================
This section deals with the plathora of useful items you can create from the
random material you collect during the game. All recipes can be unlocked by
buying the books from Selphy as they become available. However, since you have
the list here, you can create items before you have the recipe book so long as
you are no more than 20 levels lower than the items' skill level and that your
work area is large enough to hold all the needed items.

-----[004.2]Weapons-----

All the items in the section are intended to do bodily harm to your enemies,
be it sword, spear, hammer, or axe. Note, that while weaponized hammers and
axes (as opposed to the farm tools outline later) are capable of breaking
rocks and cutting trees, but the RP cost is much greater. Generally, it is
suggested to use 2-handed swords based on high damage, range, and a good
special attack.

-----[004.6]Farming Upgrades-----
---------------------------------
These are all the upgrades which start from "cheap" farming tools. They can be
used as weapons in a time of need, but definately it is worth crafting a sword
or two to dispatch monsters faster. Making yoru farm tools high level with the
scrap iron recipes is very important, since it lowers RP consmption.

-----[005.2]Whale Island-----
-----------------------------
Whale Island is the floating island that you first see with Mist. It is the
first and easiest "dungeon" you can enter. Keep in mind however, that
each new area you enter, the monsters are greatly stronger that the
previous area.

The grass ruins are the easiest of the dungeons to complete, and not
surprisingly it is the first you can complete. You can get many helpful
monsters here, so be sure to capture them.

The lava ruins are much more difficult than the green ruins, and you must be
careful of some new threats. Bombs, which are ignited by any attack which hits
them, will wipe out your HP, as will the giant rolling rocks. Be carful and
you will be fine.

~~~~~[006]Game Hints & Tips~~~~~
================================
This section will cover all the little hints and tips that will get you
through the game -without- taking you by the hand and showing you
all the turns. In my opinion, this is the best option if you must use any
sort of walkthrough. You will still feel a sense of accomplishment, but
you won't get frustrated trying to figure out impossible situations.
-----------------------------------
-----[006.1]Runey Distribution-----
-----------------------------------
This is the least documented idea in Rune Factory Frontier, which is
very stupid considering how vital it is. Basically, those cute little floating
"spirits" represent the ecosystem within Trampoli. If everything is
balanced, the Trampoli prospers. If things are imbalanced Trampoli
suffers. Ultimately your goal is to have a prosperous ecosystem and
there is a very simple way to do that which we will cover here. The one
place in Trampoli that does not follow the rules is Homestead, and we
will cover that later also.
<>>>>>Runey Food-Chain
Runeys consume each other in order to survive, that is the basis of the
Runey Ecosystem. Once you understand how that works, you will
understand how to move Runeys around to make them survive. Here
is the food chain:
Water>Rock
Rock>Tree
Tree>Grass
That means water gets eaten by nobody, and grass only get eaten. You
will find that you will end up with a surplus of water Runeys, and a
deficit of grass Runeys. We will solve this scenario with a Grass Runey
Farm, detailed later in this guide.
<>>>>>Runey Map
When you talk to Candy or visit the Dome Machine on the second story
of the Clock Tower, you can see where Runeys are distributed. There
are a few colors each district can be in, and each color means
something specific.
Green Area  - The area is surviving. Regular Runey behavior happens.
Gold Area   - The area is Prosperous. Runeys grow each day,grass Runeys die.
Red Area    - The area is dying. Less than 5 Runeys on the whole area.
Grey Area   - The area is dead. There are no longer any Runeys in the
area.
NOTE: When an area is gold, all crops grow significantly faster.
NOTE: when an area is grey, all crops grow significantly slower.
<>>>>>Prosperous Runeys
This is your ultimate goal; a prosperous ecosystem. If you do not attain
this, you will be gathering and distributing Runeys for the rest of the
game. Now, we don't want that, so I will tell you how to make your
Runeys prosper. First understand that to get prosperity, you need all
Runeys at -greater- than 35. So, the bare minimum you can have is:
35 Water
35 Rock
35 Tree
35 Grass
However, this will not suffice. Once an area is prosperous, no Runeys
die except grass Runeys. Knowing that, the next day in game, you will
have only 33 grass Runeys, and loose prosperity.
What you want is this:
35 Water
35 Rock
35 Tree
60 Grass
Once you have this, only once every 2weeks do you have to redeposit
grass Runeys into each area, rather than daily. Now to get so many
grass Runeys is kind of hard, but it -is- possible with the following Grass
Runey Farm method.
<>>>>>Grass Runey Farm
What we need to do is -completely- remove all tree and rock Runeys
from Road to the Beach. Next, make sure there are 60 water Runeys
and 10 grass Runeys in the area. And voila! You are done. Each day you
will gain about 15-20 grass Runeys at the cost of 15-20 water Runeys.
Since you will have areas in prosperity, you can gather water Runeys
everywhere else (so long as you make sure there are at least 35 water
Runeys in every other area) and re-fill you Grass Runey Farm to full
again. Remember as you are removing grass Runeys that there must
be 10 in the area for the farm to work.
<>>>>>Homestead Runey Rules
Runeys at Homestead -only- grow (never die), albeit pretty slowly. You
can increase the growth rate in homestead by having -grown- fields.
The more fields you have with plants fully grown in them, the more
runes will spawn in Homestead. The thing is, it only works if they are
fully grown, meaning you -cannot- harvest them. Generally, keeping
several plots of fodder uncut is the best option, because fodder
survives all seasons, so you do not need to replant anything. The
general consensus for Homestead growth is 1Runey/9grown fields.
The Runeys produced is random, but with enough fields growing,
Homestead can create several grass Runeys a day, which will help
supplement your Grass Runey Farm.
-------------------------------
-----[006.2]Constellations-----
-------------------------------
Constellations are pictures created by making imaginary lines between
stars. In Rune Factory Frontier there are quite a few of them, each one
relevant to a different girl, and usually having a side-effect on you
(positive only). Cinnamon must first be in town for you to observe
constellations, and you must talk to her to find out about them. The
constellations are:
Constellation    Season & Time  Related Girl  Effect
----------------------------------------------------
The Turnip       Spring 7PM     Mist          ???
The Serpent      Spring 9PM     Rosetta       ???
Corona Borealis  Spring 12PM    Selphy        ???
The Elephant     Summer 7PM     Bianca        ???
The Wooly        Summer 9PM     Tabatha       ???
??               Summer 12PM    Anette        ???
The Broom        Fall 11:30PM   Eunice        Cooking Level +3
The Hat          Fall 8PM       Melody        Magic level +3
The Pisces       Winter 2AM     Cinnamon      ???
The Hairpin      Winter 6PM     Uzuki         ???
The Cross        Winter 8PM     Lara          ???
The Cetus        15-16day 12PM  Iris Noire    ???
The Scorpio      1-30day 12PM   Iris Blanche  ???
------------------------------
-----[006.3]Barn Monsters-----
------------------------------
Since you can have up to 70 monsters do your bidding, it is important
to keep a few things known. First, they eat a lot of fodder. 1 fodder
each day per monster for 120 days in a year is about 8400 fodder in a
year. Keep in mind also that you -cannot- grow much fodder in the
winder (since your field dies, you can only gather fodder from the
dungeons) so always make sure you have surplus fodder. Also worth
noting is that you can only have one of each field-worker monster on
your field at a time. That means only one of each Watering, harvesting,
rock-breaking, tree-cutting, grass-collecting, and fodder-cutting
monsters. Unless you want to be a Pokemon master and catch one of
each monster... Chose one and stick to it. Also, having more than one
mount or fighting creature is a waste since only one can follow you at a
time. The only creatures you want a lot of are those which -produce-
goods like Buffamoos (milk) and Woolies (wool).  Easy monster to
capture early on are:
Slime:       Rock-breaking    (Whale Island)
Ant:         Harvesting       (Whale Island)
Chitter:     Grass-collecting (Green Ruins)
Little Mage: Wood-Cutting     (Green Ruins)
Ghost:       Fodder-Cutting   (Lava Ruins)
Elefun:      Crop-Watering    (Lava Ruins)
------------------------------
-----[006.4]Home Upgrades-----
------------------------------
There are many upgrades to your house, and some of the upgrades
have different styles. Now, you don't need to build the various styles,
but you are more than welcome try out the different styles. Once
built, you can change styles at no cost. To build everything you will
need to buy things both from Kross and Lute, and the order is up to
you, but I will be presenting a good list of what to start with.
<>>>>>Upgrade Suggestion
Honestly, buying any gear in Rune Factory Frontier is unneeded. You
can easily just make your own stuff in your own home. That being said,
there is a suggested list of items to buy first. You can obviously change
it as you see fit, but this is the way that worked for me.
-Barn (so you can get farm critters as soon as possible)
-Handy Forge (you want the better tools right away. I am not joking)
-Handy Kitchen (cooked food heals better and sells better)
-Large Box (you'll need storage... if not this box, any other)
-Forge Room (You'll need the great forge...)
-Great Forge (see, I told you)
-Kitchen Room (again, you will need the great kitchen)
-Great Kitchen (told you again!)
-Handy Lab (I used the lab least, is it got pushed back a lot)
And so on and so forth. You can afford most of this in the first weeks if
you sell stuff well.
---------------------------
------[006.5]Festivals-----
---------------------------
There are several Destivals in Rune Factory Frontier, some of which are
worthwhile, some not so much. The main benefits of festivals is that you can
get prizes on some, and you can get LP/FP boosts on others. Remember that on
festivals, stores are closed so make your purchases prior to the day. Also, it
is beneficial to save the game before games, so if you lose, you can restart.
-New Year's Festival
1st of Spring, beginning in Year 2
You can break open the New Mochi you got on Winter 30th to get some Mochi.
Uzuki will tell your fortune near the Singing Rock.
-Sainte-Coquille Festival
19th of Spring, beginning in Year 2
Meet Bianca at the Public Square to play. The object of the game is to bring
Bianca the dish she requests from the choices provided, within the time
limit. You will get food dishes for participating.
Tips: If you know what different dishes look like pretty well, you have an
advantage. So those of you who cooked a lot, you should have this in the bag.
-Foliage Festival
29th of Spring, beginning in Year 2
In the first year, you can get flowers from Eunice and Stella on this day.
In following years, when it becomes an official village festival, you give
flowers to "those you are indebted to." Only girls give flowers, and which
girls give you flowers depend how far you are in their storyline.
-Beach Opening
1st of Summer, beginning in Year 1
Talk to Rosetta at the beach. The object of the game is to follow the voices
of the girls to find the watermelon and smash it. One girl will be lying,
but you're told who that is before you begin so you know who to ignore. You
only get LP with the girls participating in the watermelon smash as a prize.
-Ganesha Cup Boat Race
25th of Summer, beginning in Year 1
Meet Stella on the dock of Lake Poli to start the race. You will have to boat
around the lake for 1 minute and collect as many ballons as possible. Heart
ballons are worth the most, and if you have a girl in the boat with you, you
will get a speed boost.Participation prize is a Mask, and winning gives you
Cat Ears (in year 1).
Tips: If you get less than 250points, you will loose definately. If you have
only a little more, you still may loose. The highest NPC score I saw was 375.
-Pumpkin Festival
30th of Summer, beginning in Year 1
Everyone wears a Pumpkin mask (except Mist, who wears a Turnip mask). You can
make a mask at your Forge, or buy one from Rosetta all season. Talking to
people give you a small boost to FP/LP, but no other reward.
-Harvest Festival
13th of Fall, beginning in Year 1
You are able to give anyone any vegetable for a boost in FP/LP. They
sometimes give you vegetables in return depending how much they like you.
Besides the FP/LP boost, there is no prize.
-Coming of Age Day
25th of Fall, beginning in Year 1
Meet Stella at the Town Square to start the treasure hunt. You will be
searching for a golden turnip. Participation prize is a bottle of wine, and
the winning prize is a Straw hat (year 1). Instead of giving in the golden
turnip, you can make golden turnip seeds with a seed maker.
Tips: The locations are always the same, but the golden turnip can be at any
one location. they are located at:
>Dead end path near the blacksmith shop, that goes behind the Inn.
>Next to Kross's house.
>The Observatory (the meadow up the mountain road).
>Near the dock of Lake Poli.
>Behind your house.
>Near Mist's pond.
>To the right of the changing room on the beach.
>In front of the big tablet next to the Rune Archives.
-Sea Surf Day
30th of Autumn, Beginning after completion of the storyline
A day that Whale Island blocks the sun, as its Runeys absorb the sun's warmth
to prepare for winter. There is no prizes, but Melody says it is a day to give
Hot Milk.
-Quiz Contest
7th of Winter, beginning in Year 1
Meet Kanno in the Town Square to start the quiz contest. You will be asked a
series of 10 questions regarding Rune Factory Frontier, and there are three
possible responses one of which is correct. Winning prize is all the fruits
used to count the scores and participation prize is a random food.
Tips: Just by playing the game, you learn most of the answers though some
answers you can learn in the Rune Library. You -can- push NPC's out of the
answers if you like, and sometimes other NPC's will push an NPC out. Also, if
you are not sure of an answer, follow an NPC who knows something about the
question field. I.E Turner knows cooking/food, Cinnamon knows stars/fish, etc.
-Hotpot Convention
19th of Winter, beginning in Year 1
Meet Tabatha at the Public Square to put your ingredient into the pot. All
NPC's say they added an item, but it only really matters what you add into the
pot. using any raw fruit/vegetable is fine, just dont use junk (weeds, grass),
or drop items (ore, hard horn). There is no prize, and I can't notice an
increase in LP/FP.
-Year End Festival
30th of Winter, beginning in Year 1
Talk to Rita in the Town Square for a New Mochi to break the following day.
If you want to see the sunrise, as the villagers mention, just stay out late.
It gets light in-game around 3 am.
----------------------------
-----[006.6]Bath Events-----
----------------------------
Bath events happen when you take a bath at Laga Springs. The time, date and
location in the storyline influence which girl you hear. Bath events are only
a fan-service and do not change your progression in the game. However, because
they are fan-service, some of them are risque.
-Cinnamon / Candy
Schedule: Any sunny day at 6:00pm to 7:00pm
-Uzuki/Stella
Schedule: Any day at 8:00pm to 9:00pm
~~~~~[007]Quests & Marriage~~~~~
================================
There are several things you can do along the game... There is no
particular order, nor is there any reason to rush. Do a bit here, do a bit
there... Eventually marry... It doesn't matter. The only limitation is your
patience. Each section will tell you how an objective is unlocked, how
to complete the objective, and what is your reward. Ultimately, you'll
get married and complete the storyline... the quests are generally
better identified as side-quests.

------------------------
------[007.1]Quests-----
------------------------
The side-quests in Rune Factory Frontier basically are unlocked as you
gain friendship and love with different characters. There are some
exceptions (the starting quest "go meet people in town") but generally
they are not mandatory to complete. There is one thing though; For
the girl you want to marry, you must first complete -all- quests she is
part of directly.

--------------------------
------[007.2]Marriage-----
--------------------------
There are twelve heroines you can marry in Rune Factory Frontier,
some harder, some easier, than the rest. Melody is by far the easiest
girl to marry, since you will be seeing, talking, and completing her +love
things daily. Iris, on the other hand, is a bit far off in Whale Island, so
she might take a bit more work to get. Likewise, girls with foods or
goods the prefer, which only show up later in the game, will be harder
to woo.

---------------------------
------[007.2]Storyline-----
---------------------------
Rune Factory Frontier is pretty lax on the storyline. Keep in mind that
the quests and the marriage are also parts of the game (arguably more
important than the actual story), so if this "storyline" section seems a
bit sparse, that because it is technically spread across the three
sections. Anyways, to be bluntly honest, the storyline resides almost
only in the dungeons and ruins around trampoli. Basically, defeat all
the ruins and dungeons, and that's the "main" story. For information
on the dungeons, refer to the earlier section on the dungeons. I'll say
this now though; If this seems "short-ended" for a storyline, keep in
mind that the game content is immense and will have you playing for
hours if you are aiming for high skills/items/relationships/level/farm/house
...etc. SO THIS IS IT!!

->Begin game
->Defeat the Grass Ruins
->Defeat the Lava Ruins
->Defeat the Ice Ruins
->Defeat Whale Island
->End Storyline

There are things you need to do between the dungeons, but generally, if you
want the story only, you can pull it off pretty well just by passing all the
dungeons.
