    VERSION 1.1 IS HERE!!!
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Ehh, I don't know if this will turn into a Full Guide for the game, so I
thought at least I would give you juicy Mission and Boss tips!
Basically, I am not going by the order of unlock, but by the "zone"
names, like Misty Lake, and listing out the blue dot zones (Sonic only)
and the red dot zones (Sonic and the Knights of the Round Table)
    Missions in two sections.

    Enjoy!

    1. FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
There are just certain questions that keep coming up again and again and
again about this game I want to make clear at the beginning.

Remember, there is more guide after this section!!!

    Q. How do I change characters?
    A. To choose a character when you can (red dot missions), on the "YES NO
BLACKSMITH" Screen, anywhere on that page press left or right to cycle
    through the characters.

    Q. I'm stuck on Misty Lake go for the goal (or another level with blue
energy balls "Will o' Wisps") what do I do?
    A. To get rid of the Will o' Wisps, go into Soul Surge with the B
button, and while in Soul Surge jerk the Nunchuk to do a kick. Doing
this will set off reaction chains in this level and a few other levels
    too.

    Q. In some instances, like with sword duels and beating King Arthur,
what do I do to pass it?
    A. Wait for the blue shaking Wii Remote to appear and well shake the wii
    remote at the correct time.

    Q. How do I get the World Rings?
    A. They are items you might receive in certain Legacy Levels, levels
that are eventually unlocked like the rest. Here are their locations:
    Yellow: Molten Mine
    Green: Shrouded Forest
    Red: The Cauldron
    Blue: Titanic Plain
    Aqua: Knight's Passage
    White: Crystal Lake
    Purple: Dragon's Lair

    Q. What's the Golden Slime?
    A. Sometimes the slime dripping from the ceiling is gold, but very
rarely! When I saw it, I touched it just in case. You get Flag 10 in the
    Gallery for finding it.

    Q. My sword doesn't harm robots in the Legacy levels!
    A. You have to Homing Attack them by pressing A to jump then pressing A
    again near the robot.

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
    2. Mission Types and General Tips:
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Here are the types of Missions, I'll add more tips later, tell me if I
    missed a Mission type:

Go for the Goal: The only objective is the get to the end.
    5-star:
Try not to get hit and kill as many enemies as possible.
Try this technique, with Knight Style Sonic you eventually gain Soul
Barrier Skill, while gives you Soul when you loose Rings. Now equip
Poison Ring that makes you loose Rings. With lots of Rings or Enemies in
a level, you can have infinite Soul!!! Run through at blazing speed and
    hit every enemy perfectly

Beat the Clock: There is a time limit to the stage, it's best if you are
going through the first time to jump over enemies and stuff.
5-star: See Go for the Goal

Pass Through the Gate: Sort of like Beat the Clock, but you have to pass
through Blue Gates to gain more time on the clock. Same tip as above.
You can also fail this mission type by getting defeated.
    Suggested Style: Cavalier
5-star: See Go for the Goal

Grind Challenge: Stay on the rail, or you fail the mission. Remember to
    jump at the right time.
    5-star: Quickly

Mastery Stage: You only get a certain number of swings of your sword,
it's a puzzle you have to solve, learn what you absolutely have to
    destroy.
    5-star: Fewest swings possible, quickly.

Rush Hour: Avoid touching Townspeople, go slow at first. Use Mermaid's
Tear, you can jump then attack townspeople and it doesn't count as a
    touch.
5-star: Speed. Here is a good technique, use Mermaid's Tear, and if you
jump and attack, if you hit a townsperson it doesn't count as a hit, do
    this the entire way through.

Rampage: Defeat a certain number of enemies.
Good Items to increase score: Lollipop, Gladiolus, Dragon Fang
    Suggested Style: Paladin
5-star: See Go for the Goal

Total Rampage: No way to fail this mission. You can use Rings to stay
alive. It turns out, to get a higher score, it's important to chain
enemies like the Chain of Enemies missions.
5-star: See Go for the Goal (except Deep Woods)

Ultimate Challenge: Exactly like Total Rampage, except you don't get any
Rings to help keep you alive. It turns out, to get a higher score, it's
important to chain enemies like the Chain of Enemies missions.
5-star: You can do the Dragon's Lair one by using Lancelot's final sword
and using his special move, Chaos Blast during Soul Surge, and equipping
points increasing items for defeating more than one enemy at a time or
    Gladiolus.

Diehard Challenge: Don't get defeated (though you can loose Rings)
    Good time: Herb of Toughness
5-star: See Go for the Goal

Chain of Enemies: Get your Hits meter up to a certain point. Your hits
meter will go down if you take too long slashing enemies in a row or if
    you get hit.
5-star: See go for the goal

    Perfect Challenge: Don't get hit.
5-star: For the Titanic Plain one see Go for the Goal

Chain of Rings: Get a certain number of Rings in a row. If you don't get
them quick enough in a row, then the chain will start over again.
    Good score increaser: Flower Amulet
5-star: Have Ring Present and I think another skill gained, and get
    Rings for defeating enemies.

Collect Rings: Grab a certain number of Rings before reaching the Goal.
    5-star: See Chain of Rings.

Ring-Giver: Give a certain amount of Rings to the townspeople. Make sure
you do not get hit by enemies.
    Suggested Item: Bright Red Ribbon
5-star: Give Rings to as many townspeople as possible.

Hide and Seek: Find a certain number of hidden green fairies.

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
    Unlocked by: Very first mission
Unlocks: Misty Lake Special Mission: Retrieve Sacred Sword

The first part of the level shows you how to attack and guard and stuff.

To hit the higher targets, jump then attack.

5-star: I hit most of the targets very quickly, I think the Ring Rescue
    skill helped in getting Rings.

    Common Items Encountered:
    Skipping Stone
    Narcissus
    Ham
    Doughnut
    Tart
    Moist Cookie

3.a.2. Special Challenge: Retrieve the Sacred Sword
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Misty Lake Special: Reach the Misty Lake
Unlocks: Misty Lake Defeat Boss: King Arthur

    Don't hit the wooden townspeople!

Use guard, Z button, to defend against the boars.

The Mist Dragon: Mostly, you can jump and swing your sword, but when you
see it about to pound the ground with it's head you need to jump.

5-star: Use Mermaid's Tear to help with the targets. I got a good time,
    try not to get hit.

    Common Items Encountered:
    Moist Cookie
    Narcissus
    Skipping Stone
    Daffodil

3.a.3. Defeat the Boss: King Arthur
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Misty Lake Special: Retrieve the Sacred Sword
Unlocks: Misty Lake Special: Wield the Sacred Sword

First follow King Arthur, then when he stops, wait for a blue wii remote
to appear, shake the wii remote when this symbol comes up. Then repeat.
Finally press the A button when instructed. He will run away again, this
time you can defeat enemies if you want to before reaching him again.
Repeat above process till he's defeated.

Five-star: I five stared this by getting all the button prompts right
the first time and defeating the enemies that appeared, you can use Soul
    Surge for this.

    Common Items Encountered:
    Steel Gauntlet
    Bronze Gauntlet
    Cursed Gauntlet
    Fishing Pole
    Doughnut
    Narcissus

3.a.4. Special Challenge: Wield the Sacred Sword
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
    Unlocked by: Misty Lake Boss
    Unlocks: Camelot Castle's Reach Blacksmith

Use guard against the giant wild boars or just jump over them.

Don't hit the townspeople props or you will get lower points.

You don't have to slice through the stones before the Goal.

    5-star:
    Items I had equipped:
    Lollipop
    Mermaid's Tear

I think the ability Ring Rescue helped, not sure, but I got a ton of
    Rings for this one.

Run and slice very quickly through the targets, it's best near the end
to just keep pressing up and shaking the wii remote. Jump over the
boars, keep a nice steady pace. Mermaid's Tear means it doesn't matter
if you hit the townspeople things.

    Common Items Encountered:
    Skipping Stone
    Letter
    String of Pearls
    Healing Draught
    Healing Potion

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
    3.a.5. Go for the Goal
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Great Megalith Chain of Enemies
Unlocks: Crystal Cave Chain of Rings

Blue Energy Spheres (Will-o'-Wisps), when you encounter these, use Soul
Surge by pressing the B button, then shake the Nunchuk to kick them and
set off chain reactions in the level.

Target area, if you carefully hit all the targets and not the
townspeople, you will be able to give rings to a couple of them. (Use
Mermaid's Tear to do this easily) But there is a hitch, there is a will-
o'wisp in the middle that a stupid guy runs right into, hurting him
repeatedly. What you need to do is while still kind of far back, kick
it, this will also open up the blocked rail ahead.

Blocked rail at the end of target area, see above.

5-star: I had String of Pearls and Mermaid's Tear Equipped. I Soul
Surged past most of the first part. I hit most of the targets quickly,
getting a big hit chain. I didn't get hit, and I gave rings to all the
    townspeople.

    Common Items Encountered:
    Mermaid's Tear
    Ice Broach
    String of Pearls (townsperson?)
    Lithograph (townsperson I think)
    Moist Cookie
    Healing Draught
Healing Potion (treasure chest I think)
    Skipping Stone
    Fishing Pole

    3.a.6. Pass Through the Gate
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Molten Mine Ring Giver
Unlocks: Misty Lake Mastery, Titanic Plain Special Challenge

Go straight ahead, and take the first jump fairies to the first gate.
Now up ahead, see the blocks to the left with apples on them, go this
way to find purple fairies, flick the wii remote at the correct time, so
you can go a faster path. After grinding the rail, jump through the
switch, and see the jump up ahead, get to it quickly or it disappears,
jump off it then jump dash to a pole up ahead to go through another gate
and purple fairies. Next gate just takes jump timing and purple fairies
timing. You can run through a safe patch through the spiky balls, then
some purple fairies will take you to the next gate. Now it's a straight
    shot to the goal.

    5-star:
    Style: Cavalier
    Items I had equipped:
    Highland Mushroom
    String of Pearls

Follow walkthrough above, you can still weave carefully through the
spiky balls and make it with a 5-star

    Common Items Encountered:
    Wavestone
    Mermaid's Tear
    Lithograph
    Healing Draught
    Fishing Pole
    Lollipop
    String of Pearls

    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
    3.a.7. Mastery Stage
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Misty Lake Pass Through Gate
    Unlocks: Deep Woods Total Rampage

    Allowed 8 sword swings

First you will come to a breakable wall. Don't slash from the ground,
instead to break through the wall in one swipe jump then attack. Up
ahead, between two targets (ignore them) you will see a breakable stone
column in front of a non-breakable pillar. To the right is a stone you
can slash for red fairies if you need anything on your soul gauge.
Slashing from the ground where the apple is, destroy the bottom
breakable stone with one swipe. Now you can jump up to where the Will-
o'-Wisp (blue glowing ball) is. Jump up, then use Soul Surge and shake
the nunchuk to kick it into the wall up ahead. Now go through the gap.
Go past the switch, then eventually go up to the column of breakable
stones four tall in front of the column of unbreakable stones. Jump up
and with one sword swing break this column and you will reveal a switch.
Jump up and press it, and jump fairies appear that will get you over a
    wall and to the Goal.

    5-star:
I had String of Pearls equipped, probably helped, I 5-stared this by
    following above instructions quickly.

Reward for 5-star: Caliburn voice in Gallery

    Common Items Encountered:
    Wavestone
    String of Pearls
    Lollipop
    Healing Draught
    Fishing Pole

Unlocks: Camelot Castle Soul Surge on Ground

Try to kill all the enemies without harming the townspeople.

5-star: Pretty easy I guess since I did it without trying! I didn't have
anything special equipped, just slashed enemies, avoided all the
townspeople and gave Rings to them.

After completing this for the first time, you will now have the
    Blacksmith available.

Commonly Encountered Items (not including enemies):
    Raven's Feather (townsperson)
    Tome of Arms
    Pawn
    Tart
    Sweetpea

then when you see the target appear, shake the wii remote. You have to
do this 10 times in order to pass this level.

5-star: I think using Perfect Hit a lot and the Lollipop helped, I soul
    surged all the enemies.

    Commonly Encountered Items:
    Tome of Arms
    Aromatic Tea
    Chilidog
    Cursed Longsword
    Cursed Helmet

pressing B then shaking the wii remote.

5-star: Destroy all enemies as fast as possible using Soul Surge.

Commonly Encountered Items (not counting enemy carried)
    Tome of Arms
    Chilidog
    Aromatic Tea

3.b.4. Special Challenge: Rescue the townspeople

Unlocks: Beat this, Deep Woods Rampage, Deep Woods Ring Giver and
Camelot Castle Ring Giver to unlock Titanic Plain Go for the Goal

Cut through wooden gates. Try not to hit the townspeople. There is a red
fire box behind one of the wooden gate, make sure when you slash you
then jump back before it explodes.

5-star: I basically killed all the enemies and gave rings to the
townsperson. I had Mermaid's Tear and Lollipop equipped.

Commonly Encountered Items (ehh, I won't list enemy items, probably more
    than this):
    Tome of Arms
    Pawn
    Aromatic Tea
    Chilidog
Tart (I think the townsperson gives it)

Practice in slashing enemies without hurting townspeople and following
the button prompts when you are talking to them. I suggest Red Ribbon
    and Herb of Toughness.

5-star: Didn't get hit, killed all enemies, gave rings to all
townspeople. String of Pearls probably helped too.

Hidden townsperson, after going down one of the walls in the level, back
up and you will find a townsperson in need of help.

5-star: I cheated... I had the Soul Barrier and Ring Present skills, and I
used Poison Ring, Poison Ring works with Soul Barrier to keep the Soul
Gauge full, I Soul Gauged through the entire level. Also had Gladiolus
equipped. Poison Ring trick can only be used when Sonic is leveled up
enough to have the Soul Barrier skill.

    Commonly Encountered Items (probably more):
    Raven's Feather(townsperson)
    Expensive Broach
    Ballista Arrowhead (townsperson I think)
    Chilidog

    3.b.7. Rush Hour
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Molten Mine Ring Giver

Go slowly and don't hit anyone. At the top of the staircase, you will
need to jump over two people to get to some bad guys. Soon after a whole
group of townspeople will be running after you, jump again!

Tip: You can use Mermaid's Tear, it appears that jumping then attacking
the townspeople doesn't count as a hit.

5-star: I used Mermaid's Tear and Gladiolus. Basically, I jumped and
attacked throughout, I had Cavalier type Sonic to go faster, and I Soul
    Surged all the enemies.

5-star reward: Character Voice 1, Sonic.

    Commonly Encountered Items:
    Rabbit's Tail
    Herb of Strength

3.b.8. Special Challenge: Put out 10 fires
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Unlocked by: Titanic Plain Perfect Challenge

Put out a fire by slashing at it with the sword, this is not hard, but
    staying alive is!

There are more than 10 fires, so you don't have to try to put out the
ones very close to townspeople where you could hurt them.

One section has a bunch of poles, avoid the poles to put out more fires.

5-star: I used Poison Ring with Soul Barrier skill to keep Soul Gauge
up. When you use Soul to run fast, you actually put out the fires with
your speed. Poison Ring trick can only be used when Sonic is leveled up
enough to have the Soul Barrier skill.

5-star reward: Character Voice 3, Lancelot

Commonly Encountered Items (not the enemy ones)

    Rescue townspeople, Camelot Ring Giver

    Start with 100 Rings

Pretty easy boss cause well it's early in the game, I have success just
slashing away at him. He just slashes and guards, no special moves.

5 star: Guard, then he pauses and you jab. Repeat. If you hit him with
all your sword swings, you get a special title in the gallery.

    5-star reward: Lancelot's profile

    Common Items Encountered:
    Medal of Lancelot
    Herb of Calm
    Spongy Bread
    Rusty Dagger
    Bronze Dagger
    Morning Glory

Unlocked by: Deep Woods Boss Lancelot
Unlocks: Beat this, Deep Woods Rampage, Camelot Castle rescue
townspeople and Camelot Castle Ring Giver to unlock Titanic Plain Go for
    the Goal.

    Give townspeople 80 Rings.

Basically, you have to fight enemies in order for towns people to want
talk to you, so be careful! I suggest trying to use Soul Surge, so it's
much less likely you will damage yourself or a townsperson.

5-star: I had Mermaid's Tear equipped just in case, and String of
Pearls. Basically, I killed all the enemies and gave rings to all the
    townspeople asking for them.

    Common Items Encountered:
    Arthur's Legend 1
    Spongy Bread
    Tome of Amulets
    Morning Glory
    Flower Amulet

    Defeat 50 enemies.

More than 50 enemies, it's more important to keep alive before reaching
the goal, I would use Soul Surge a lot.

5-star: I killed almost all the enemies, most with Soul Surge, and I had
Dragon Claw and Gladiolus equipped, and I gave rings to the townsperson
    at the very end.

    Common Items Encountered (probably more):
    Arthur's Legend 1
    Fresh Milk
    Cheese
    Herb of Calm
    Broken Trap (townsperson?)

Horse-drawn carriage part easy, just slash when the enemies jump.

Jump up and attack to get rid of hornets.

Keep slicing to get out of cages.

Don't stand too long on the marsh or you will sink in, but if you keep

There are two poles that you have to walk between, because if you hit
them you get sent backwards and past this a switch you shouldn't push.

After breaking down the second bridge support, you will find it is too
short. Jump at the wall, then keep pressing the jump button to climb up
    it.

5-star: I used the Poison Ring when I had the Soul Barrier and Ring
Present Skills to Soul Surge through. Poison Ring trick can only be used
when Sonic is leveled up enough to have the Soul Barrier skill. Also
when you Soul Surge (like Speed Break in Secret Rings) without enemies

    Start with 100 Rings

He uses his special moves Chaos Spear and Chaos Blast against you. I
find that blocking or just jumping over the spears works well, you can
just hit him while he is standing there, and often Chaos Blast after you
hit him a few times in a row. Sword Duel prompts are hard to follow. Use
herb of toughness. I find jumping attacks work pretty well.

    5-star:
    Don't get hit.
Here is a modified strategy, Superfield sent me this and I expanded on
it, takes good timing, Perfect Shield and Gauge Bonus helps a lot.
First start off by shielding against his first few sword attacks until
your Soul Gauge is full. Now listen carefully, use Soul Surge when he is
jumping away from the sword attack. You have to time it just right or he
uses Chaos Blast against you too soon. Get in 6 perfect hits, then
shield so Chaos Blast doesn't get you. Now block his Chaos Spear. Now do
the same as before, filling up Soul Gauge with sword attacks. Now attack
again as before, 6 perfect hits. Now he charges up a deadlier Chaos
Spear, what you do is Soul Surge at beginning of attack, get in 5 hits,
block Chaos Blast. He does this again, do again. Now he does an even
stronger Chaos Blast attack, but repeat above. Now after this two times,
he slashes at you with sword again, but with a different pattern, with a
pause after he teleports. Fill up Soul Gauge again, but this time as
soon as he teleports and is about to slash you again, use Soul Surge.
You will only probably get in one hit before he Chaos Blasts, but he
should be pretty much gone by now, just repeat above process till you
    win.

    Medal of Lancelot

    Spongy Bread

5-star: This is a hard one, it was the last one I 5-stared in the game.
I used Knight Style Sonic, with Poison Ring/Soul Barrier trick and
Lollipop. Poison Ring trick can only be used when Sonic is leveled up
enough to have the Soul Barrier skill. This one has to be walkthroughed!
First Soul Gauge through the first few groups of enemies, don't worry
about getting perfect hits and quickly cover ground with soul between
enemies, just keep swinging the wii remote till you get to a golden
robot. Kill it, and watching above for the spikes, jump over the block,
then use Soul again and kill two more groups of enemies. Now stop Soul.
See the yellow fairies up ahead? They are over a wooden trigger for a
trap, what you do is carefully jump over the trigger, then kill the
golden robot, jump over the block. After the block, there's another
wooden trigger, but it's broken or something, just Soul Surge till you
get to another group of yellow fairies below an evil treasure chest. Now
be careful, and jump a small jump between the wooden trigger and this
treasure chest. Now you want to hit the ground, then soul surge two
enemies. Stop Soul again, there's yet another trigger. Kill another
golden robot. Now you are faced with a whole lot of triggers!!! What you
do needs practice, but you soul surge from the air a bunch of enemies
across. Now is the weird part. There is a column of switches with Will-
o'-Wisps on the other side. Kick the bottom four to kill a few enemies
and then continue on ahead, the next part is pretty easy cause it starts
from the beginning of the level again, just continue until time runs
    out.

high, first part, jump over the logs to attack enemies with Soul Surge.
When you get to the first set of traps, jump in between them and watch
out, the second group of fairies has a wooden thing under them, step on
it and you will be in a cage! So you have to jump over the traps quickly
to keep your hit count up. Then repeat with the enemies. Second set of
traps, this time Soul Surge through them, so you run so fast then they
don't hurt you, then continue attacking enemies with Soul Surge until

5 star walkthrough! Also try these items: Bright Red Ribbon to reduce
the number of button inputs, and String of Pearls to get points for
    fairies!

Slash the first two stones, then proceed to the first townsperson after
picking up 20 rings worth of fairies, give then to him.
Now climb the wall in back of him. There are blue jump fairies up ahead,
you will see up above is one cluster of yellow faries and two clusters
of blue fairies to the left, and one cluster of yellow fairies to the
right. To get the fairies on the left, jump up, then when you are
slightly below the level of the blue jump fairies up there, press left
on the control stick to hit the wall and to slide down it. Now go back
to the jump fairies on the ground, and this time hit the jump fairies up
above the yellow ones you just got in order to hit the wall with the
other yellow fairies. Get those, then climb that same wall up to a
townsperson and give him some rings.
Now go to the right, jump over a gap and grab some more yellow fairies,
then you will see another hole with yellow fairies on the right side of
it, jump so you hit the wall, slide down the wall just enough to grab
the fairies, then climb up the wall to the townsperson, give him some
    rings.
Hit the blue fairies in back of this townsperson, then you will hit the
ground on top of more yellow fairies. Now go to the left past parts you
have already see, and past the blue fairies on the ground, so you can
grind a chain and end up at another large wooden jail area. After
grinding the chain, grab the fairies, then you will see more above, to
get them, fall down below to the grass and you will find blue jump
fairies. Hit the wall, slide down it enough to grab the fairies, then
climb the same wall to find another townsperson.
Now go to the left, and you will see fairies on the right edge of a
large gap, and fairies on the other side, first grab the fairies on the
other side of this hole, then go backwards, and slide down the wall of
the hole, and you will hit even more fairies before you get to the
bottom. Before you give Rings to the townsperson down there, go
backwards a bit to pick up some more Yellow Fairies, Now give some rings
    to the townsperson down there.
Now drop down to the ground. See the breakable rocks behind you? Break
them all to find more fairies. Now give Rings to the townsperson in
    front of you.
Climb up the wall in back of that townsperson, and ignore the jump
fairies up there for now, to the left of them is a townsperson, you
should have enough Rings to give.
Now hit the jump fairies in back of that person, and then the other
ones, use the jump fairies to get to the right and climb the wall, you
will grind another chain. You will hit another wall, slide down it for
some yellow fairies, then climb up it, go to the left for more fairies
    and then a townsperson.
Hit jump fairies in back of this person, then when you land head left,
fall down to the ground. Ignore this townsperson down there, continue up
the wall, and find more fairies to give to a townsperson near the Goal.
You should have given 180 fairies and have a 5-star.

Hit the first set of fairies, then straight ahead, you will see blue and
yellow fairies in the air, hit those, then climb up a wall. Slice
through the air to destroy the red lock to free the townsperson, then
    attack the enemies ahead.
Now jump down, and destroy the enemies below. Now jump down and run
through the grass avoiding the spears to get to the next wooden jail
pulled by giants. Use jump fairies, then go forward, drop down, use more
fairies, climb a wall, flip over some spikes at the top, then hit the
jump fairies you see, slide down the wall, hit more fairies, climb a
    wall, then free another townsperson.
Jump over two holes, and find some enemies guarding a cage with three
locks. Destroy the enemies first, then slash at the cage until the
person is free, then more fairies will appear.
Now continue on, past the spikes again, this time not using the jump
fairies, till you are back in the grass. Two giant knights ahead will be
in your way, it's best to use Soul Surge. Continue on to the next big
wooden thing. After hitting the jump and dash fairies, look carefully up
ahead and you will see fairies in the air, jump on them to get higher,
climb a wall, and free a person.
Watch out for spikes, see the hole in between the spikes, jump down
there and you will find another three lock townsperson, fairies will
appear after you free him that lead to the Goal.

Soul Surge and use the Nunchuk to kick it, and it will bounce away, and
guess what, boost fairies and Rings appear!

After the first group of enemies before you get to the boost fairies,
you will find a rock formation that is breakable to the right, slash at
it to reveal hidden jump fairies, take this higher but more dangerous
path with enemies for more Rings. At the end of this past, you will get
to a Will-o'-Wisp, kick it to make a Rich Ring appear over a Will-o'-
wisp on a platform ahead, jump and then kick that will-o'wisp to make an
enemy appear on a platform ahead, Soul Surge this enemy, then find
another Will-o'wisp ahead and kick that one to break down a wall with
another Rich Ring behind it. Now continue on, I suggest jumping over
enemies, and you should have over 100 rings at the end.

Use Knight style, so Ring Rescue and Ring Present come into play, attack

Unlocked by: Misty Lake Go for the Goal

Different paths, here's one path that works, but I don't get a 5 star
    for it:

Get the first three rings, then jump for the one on top of the rock. Now
hit the switch and continue running past the enemies swerving for the
rings. Now jump at the spike on the ceiling, he will auto jump between
the two spikes. Continue on, jumping over some enemies to get rings. Up
ahead, take the left fork. Dodge a bunch of enemies while running, up
ahead take the left for again. Now see the jump fairies to the left,
take then up to a switch that makes a rich ring (counts as 20 rings)
appear. Continue on from there dodging enemies, hitting the switch.
Remember, if you get hit by an enemy, you can continue a chain if you
pick up another ring fast enough.

I think the skills Ring Rescue and Ring Present are involved, but if you
have the right skills, hitting enemies with soul surge gives you Rings,
which you can use to continue the chain.

5-star: Above route, hitting enemies when you have Ring Resuce and Ring
Present. I got over 150 Ring Chain (jump over the second group of two
enemies however, they slow you down too much.) and I had Flower Amulet
    equipped.

It's faster and safer at the beginning to grind the rail and destroy the
mine carts or jump over them.

Tips for the narrow ledge: Jump over the first part of the ledge to skip
a large part. Swing the sword to break the blocks. Take breaks by
stopping when going on the ledge every once and a while so you don't
fall off. And even quicker way, Soul Surge across it!

Secret Path: Look for a ledge next to the second railroad track, go this
way to find a treasure chest.

Huge gap in the railroad tracks, after jumping in the air and Sonic
twirls around, then you can jump again for a jump dash if you have to.

Hard rail part, remember you can change rails by pressing right and
    left.

Giant boulders, weave back and forth through them, jump and slash or
    Soul Surge.

5-star: I spammed the Poison Ring/Soul Barrier trick. Poison Ring trick
can only be used when Sonic is leveled up enough to have the Soul
    Barrier skill.

Common Items Encountered (probably more than this, except enemy
    dropped):
    Shovel (townsperson)
    Pickaxe (townsperson)
    Wheelbarrow (townsperson I think)
    Fiery Quaff
    Lump of Bronze
    Garnet
    Flintstone

I 5-stared it! Don't get hit. Basically, you start off by running toward
her then guarding. Then after she slashes away, there's an opening. You
do this a few more times. I had Gauge Bonus +2, so I had Soul Gauge. So
when she starts her flame tornado, start using Soul Gauge Perfect Hits
so it doesn't go down as fast. Keep doing this, you will eventually hit
her. I had enough Soul to finish her off.

If you use your sword on the block above the first blue gate, destroying
it will reveal a treasure chest, but this does take some time away, so
    be careful.

It's faster to grind the rail, but you have to jump over minecarts.

Save a bunch of time, in fact, if you don't do this you probably won't
make it! On the narrow ledges in this stage, you can either Soul Surge
through them, or you need to jump over the first part to land about in
the middle of the ledge. Toward the end, make sure the fire is not in
    the way.

Second grind rail, while on this rail look to the left and you will
eventually see some breakable blocks, this is a narrow ledge, it leads
to a hidden townsperson, but it's hard to go this way and make it to the
    end.

After the pillars of fire, carefully switch rails!

Swerve back and forth between the boulders at the end or jump and slash
    or Soul Surge.

5-star: I spammed the Knight style Poison Ring/Soul Barrier trick.
Poison Ring trick can only be used when Sonic is leveled up enough to
have the Soul Barrier skill. Soul Surged almost the whole way through.

    5 star:
There is one townsperson after a bunch of obstacles! It's best to run
through the course fast, you can run over pillars of fire and spikes
when they are in the ground and doing this non-stop, don't jump! I
suggest cavalier style, then slowdown for the townsperson. I you do
this, you should get a 5 star!
Another technique: If you have Crest of the King, try this: Line
yourself up with the fire pillar that is second from the right. Then
Soul Surge. If you do it right, you will touch the townsperson at the
    end and clear the mission!

up enough to have the Soul Barrier skill. Basically Poison Ring Fills up
Soul Gauge because of the Soul Barrier Skill. Now what you do is Soul

5-star: Paladin Sonic, with Gauge Bonus +3 at least and Lollipop and
Herb of Strength equipped. I would suggest just slashing the first few
enemies so you can have a full gauge, it will help. I wouldn't suggest
Soul Surging between enemies. Don't be that scared of fire pillars, if
there is an enemy behind them, you can Soul Surge through them. The
hardest part: There is two walls with flame pillars between, you have to
very quickly jump on top of the first wall, hope the flame pillars are
down, jump across the second one and hope you have enough time left to
make it to the next group of enemies with your hit meter up.

    Switch to Cavalier's Style.

Third minecart with boards sticking out, slash with sword.

Try to jump over enemies, if stubborn, easier to kill of you jump up in
    the air then attack.

After running through the buildings, there's a group of enemies you have
to defeat to break a wall apart.

After breaking the wall, there's an alternate path, a narrow ledge to
the left, it's slower that way however, but you get to a secret treasure
    chest.

There is a townsperson you can talk to, but it slows you down, not
    recommended for beginners.

Weave back and forth through the giant boulders or easier jump and slash
    or Soul Surge.

5-star: Used the Poison Ring/Soul Barrier technique, had Gladiolus

Basically, there are first a couple of attacks to avoid:

Sword, sometimes it slashes from one side to the other, basically swerve
to avoid. Sometimes it comes straight at you, swerve again, and when
it's slashing back and forth, run in between the slashes.

Beam Attack, these pink beams will paralyze you, run back and forth to
    avoid.

Charge attack, he charges straight down the middle, run to one side
    other the other.

Fill up Soul Gauge, when he throws the red things at you, slash them
    with your sword.

How to attack him: When you are relatively close to him and you have
enough Soul Surge, use it. Then follow the blue wii remote command
prompts to sword duel several times, now go in for the kill by slashing
    repeatedly.

Repeat above process once more to finish him off.

5-star: I found out that if you have the skills Gauge Bonus +2 at least,
possibly Surge Rescue and ones that increase your gauge, you can attack
at the start and very quickly, though I find if you attack him from the
start the game seems to glitch and the first wii remote prompt often
doesn't come up (correction by glitchhunter75, you can't attack because
you don't have enough Soul Gauge, wait till the Gauge Bonus Skill is
    higher, at least +2.)

it to finish this mission, so that you can use Soul Surge attacks to
gain Rings when fighting the enemies and keep the chain going.

I'll walkthrough this one in the future but it's pretty straightforward,
with skills above, you can attack the enemies and keep the ring chain
going. Attacking the giant, use Soul Surge. Grab as many Rich Rings (big
    ones) as you can.

petrify you, then blocks will break open revealing a fairy.

Continue for a ways, till you fall a great distance again. Destroy
enemies down there to break open more blocks for another fairy.

Climbing up the wall with spikes on top, above the left-most spike is a

These are the blue energy balls.
Sonic and Lancelot recommended because they can kick Will-o'-wisps and
set off reactions, but Sonic's attacks are much faster. Gawain can
destroy then with regular Soul Surge but can't set off reaction.
    Percival is lousy at this.

Destroy them with Sonic or Lancelot by using Soul Surge, but instead of
using the wii remote shake the nunchuk to kick it out of the way.

5-star: I used Lancelot and his last sword, Chao Blasted with Soul Surge
away at enemies with Dragon Claw and Gladiolus equipped. I had to be
careful a couple of places not to get too close to Will-o'-wisp before

    Cavalier-style Sonic or Percival recommended.
    You get 7 minutes.

First time through, jump over enemies.

Be careful of the flame plumbs over the large gaps, time your jump
    perfectly.

On the lava flow, you can move back and forth.

5-star: I used Lancelot, I used his last sword, had Gladiolus and Dragon
Fang equipped. Basically it's hard to go through without getting hit, I
got hit twice, but it seems Chaos Blasting as many enemies as possible
gives you enough points to get over this.

Commonly Encountered Items (Except Enemy Carried, more than this):
    Bat's Fang (treasure chest?)
    Stone Broach
    Hardtack
    Marigold

Unlocked by: The Cauldron Beat the Clock

    Allowed 10 sword swings.

Grab the yellow fairies, then very carefully jump over the lava gap when
the geysers of fire are not present. You will see several enemies ahead,
but only destroy the two by the wall with orange bases, when you do,
hopefully with only one swipe, it will break apart, then a third one
    appears, get that too.

Climb up the wooden wall, you should probably ignore the enemies at the
top, then fall down below. Lots of enemies, but see the four in the
middle with the purple markings? Destroy those to break down the next
wall. Wall after that, jump up then attack to destroy part of it with
    just one swipe.

Next group of enemies, destroy only the ones with orange bases, now you
    have reached the Goal!

5-star: I used Lancelot and his very last sword, he has a special move
with that sword where he uses Chaos Blast during Soul Surge, basically I
just used that to kill all the enemies quickly in a row. Wooden Belt and
Dragon Claw equipped also seemed to help.

Commonly encountered items (minus enemy carried)
    Tome of Medicines
    Hardtack
    Herb

    Find 7 Hidden Fairies

Basically, you are climbing around on the wall, hitting switches to
reveal fairies, here are some locations:

When first climbing up the wall, you will encounter 4 switches in a row,
hit the third one from the left to reveal three green fairies below you
    on the wall.

Climb up the wall again, and above the four switches to the right is
another switch, hit to reveal a fairy on the wall to the left.

Go past the spikes and hit another switch, reveal a fairy to the left,
and one below some spikes, carefully maneuver around the spikes.

Keep going, two more switches, the one on the top reveals a hidden
    fairy.

After those two switches, next switch reveals a hidden fairy to the
    right.

If you hit the first geyser, you will be thrown back to the beginning,
if you hit the second geyser, you will find a shortcut to the end.

5-star: I got the first 7 fairies quickly with String of Pearls and
Dragon Scale Equipped. I also used the second geyser as a shortcut

Commonly Encountered Items (minus enemy items):
    Lava Jewel
    Opal
    Topaz
    Marigold
    Broken Brick

    Escape the Cauldron

    Recommended Items:
    Paralysis Cure
    Paralysis Immunity
    Cure-all Broach

This is a puzzle, you have to hit the right geysers in order to make it
through, some geysers send you backwards, here is a walkthrough:

Hit the first geyser to grab some fairies, then defeat some enemies to
make a wall break down, go through here. You can grab the next geyser
with fairies if you want to, but remember it makes some enemies appear.
Keep going not hitting the next geyser till you reach the one with
fairies, this will make paralysis enemies appear up ahead. Kill them and
the wall crumbles down. Ignore the next geyser with fairies, it's bad,
hit the next one instead to make a lot of enemies appear, defeat them to
make a wall crumble down. Now it's a matter of ducking geysers and if
you make it through you will make it to the goal.

How to get the switch in the air: Last geyser in the stage, it makes a
    treasure chest appear.

5-star: I uses Lancelot and his last sword. I followed instructions
above, but I used Chaos Blast, and I had both Dragon Claw and Paralysis
    Immunity equipped.

Large gaps, time your jump right to avoid the fire plumbs, other than
    that a typical legacy stage.

You might get a Red World Ring for completing this stage.

5-star: The difference in points seems to be smashing the hidden robots
at the beginning, basically jump over the first booster ramp, and
getting those tricky Rich Rings (big silver rings). I don't know if it
made a difference, but I had lollipop and highland mushroom equipped.

Calavier style Sonic or Percival good for this(but you can only use

Jump over enemies first time to save time.

Hit the red glowing logs to be propelled into the air.

Jump dash over the thorn roots, these can be hard to get by.

The Knights of the Roundtable are unlocked after this mission.

5-star: Sonic Knight style Poison Ring/Soul Barrier technique works well
here, might have a little trouble with the tree roots, but I was just
fine even after hitting them a couple of times. Poison Ring trick can
only be used when Sonic is leveled up enough to have the Soul Barrier
    skill.

    5-star reward: Developer Data 4, Enemy 3.

Commonly Encountered Items (Except Enemy Carried, and there are more,
but I hate this level and I'm only doing it once for now):
    Mermaid's Tear

    Flower Amulet

20 Enemies, have to get the hit meter to 20.

    Recommended Items:
    Philter of Tranquility
    Vail of Calm
    Cure-all Broach

Basically, there are a bunch of treasure chests. The evil treasure
chests with the big tongues are not counted as enemies, the spider-like
creatures are. When you are confused, the enemies turn into treasure
chests. This one is hard. My biggest tips are to carry anti-confusion
items, though you can slash at the butterflies, and to memorize where
the enemies are before they turn into treasure chests, you can still
    attack then as treasure chests.

5-star: I used the Sonic Poison Ring/Soul Barrier technique, Sonic
doesn't seem to get confused when he is Soul Surging. Poison Ring trick
can only be used when Sonic is leveled up enough to have the Soul
    Barrier skill.

Commonly Encountered Items (except enemy held):
    Ice Broach
    Dart
    Doll

Roots especially hard to get by in this level. Jump dash with Sonic.

Jump off logs to grab fairies, which are easy to find in this level.

5-star: I used Lancelot and I had Dragon Scale and Dragon Claw equipped.
I used his ultimate sword (the last one) but it's probably not
necessary. I even got hit once, so the extra points from the items
    probably helped a lot.

Commonly Encountered Items (Except enemy carried):

    Allowed 11 sword swings

Gawain not recommended cause he likes to swing twice in one hit.
    Lancelot does this sometimes too.

Take one swipe at the first enemy to crumble the wall, and do the same
for the next enemy. The next part is trickier, what you do is gather as
many enemies as you can around a red fire box, slash at the box, stand
back, and let the explosion kill the enemies, you have to kill them all
in the next section to break down the wall.

5-star: I had Lollipop equipped, I think that helped. I also had the
Ring Rescue skill and finished with tons of Rings because I hit the fire
boxes quickly, and I finished with no hits and 4 swings left.

Common Items Encountered (except enemy carried, but actually in this one
it seems you might get more weapons than you get from enemies):
    Magical Moth Dust (Treasure Chest)
    Giant Flower Seed

    Doll
    Daffodil

Basically I cheat, there is a messed-up log in this level that you don't
quite land on, instead I glide around with Gawain till I hit jump
fairies. Blocks don't count as the ground.

To correctly use purple fairies, wait till the ring constricts, then
flick the wii remote when the blue prompt appears.

5-star: I did it with Gawain, basically I had Dragon Fang equipped. I
got the first few jump and purple fairies, glided over the three
enemies, then after that ignored the evil treasure chest and glided to
the next set of purple fairies, got all the red ones, then when I
reached the top of the blocks, I used his Soul Surge, Dragon Fang helps
because you get a bonus for killing enemies in a row. Then I glided to
    the Goal.

Green Fairy Locations, they appear in this level after hitting switches

    1. On a red block
    2. Jump from the jump fairies and just land naturally
    3. On top of more blocks
    4. More blocks again.
    5. Quickly slash the first breakable block on the ground, then jump up

    6. On a red block after a group of enemies.
7, 8 and 9 Use the jump fairies, after hitting one group of jump fairies

    10. On a block after hitting two switches in a row.
    11. On blocks after getting 10

Electric path, keep going at a steady pace, or the path will eventually
    give way.

5-star: I used the Knight style Sonic Poison Ring/Soul Barrier trick,
with Lollipop also equipped. Poison Ring trick can only be used when
Sonic is leveled up enough to have the Soul Barrier skill. Be careful,
you can Soul Surge most of it, but remember where the crumbling road is,

    Dragon Slayer

Here's how to defeat the dragon:

First watch out for the crumbling pathway, Gawain is good at gliding
    past this.

First dragon part, dodge the fireballs to get close to the dragon's
head. Now when you are close enough, the character will jump up, and you
    slash away at the horn.

Second dragon part, now you have to dodge smaller fireballs and enemies,
then repeat above when you get close enough.

Third, you have to dodge more enemies and stuff. Kill the first line of
enemies you see going all the way across the path... cause the dragon when
you get close now will push you back, and you often keep hitting these
enemies when you do. Now be persistent, get close enough, and go in for
the kill and destroy that horn. Also you can actually chop down one of
the pillars at the end, and destroy the dragon that way too!

5-star: I used the Poison Ring/Soul Barrier with Knight Sonic with
Dragon Killer skill. Poison Ring trick can only be used when Sonic is
leveled up enough to have the Soul Barrier skill. I find out when you
Soul Surge, over the ground and enemies, you are immune to the fire the
    dragon breaths!

Use Sonic or Lancelot, Sonic is better, though before I knew how to kick

Basically, you kick Will-o'-Wisp blue energy balls by doing Soul Surge
and using the nunchuk to attack instead of the wiiremote. See the
central pillars in the middle of the holes? Don't try to get the fairies
on them, too hard. Instead use them as an aiming spot, because when you
kick the wisps they will land there. Wait till the enemies line up with
it, then attack with the wisp.

    helpful.

    Recommended Items:
    Paralysis Cure
    Paralysis Immunity
    Cure-all Broach

First of all, get a few extra Rings at the beginning, there is a
breakable rock formation that if you break it more Rings appear.
Basically there are blue Will-o'-Wisps you kick in this level by using
Soul Surge and shaking the nunchuk. They might reveal more Rings when
you kick them. You should win if you Soul Surge thru the entire level,
including using Soul Surge without enemies nearby.

5-star: Use Sonic with Paralysis Cure and Gladiolus Equipped. I got over
200 Rings, used Knight style to get Rings from enemies, but don't smash
them all or you will end up with a path ending. On the last rail, Soul
    Surge through the entire thing.

Commonly Encountered Items (except enemy carried):
    Dragon Scale (treasure chest)
    Quasi-Magic Stone
    Tome of Rings
    Gold Ingot
    Burnt Bread
    Healing Draught
    Healing Potion
    Peridot
    Turquoise

Unlocked by: Dragon's Lair Collect Rings
    Unlocks: The Cauldron Rampage

    100 Ring Chain

    Try this:
Jump for the rings to the left first, then hit the jump fairies, then
press left to hit the next jump fairies and you will end up at the top.
Now grab all the rings on the ground in a circle. Start from the right
of the wall, jump for those rings, hit the mushroom, press left to hit
jump fairies, then off those press right to hit some more and make it to
the top. Now grab the circle of rings on the ground. Now you can start
with either mushroom, but I will use the right one to make the
description easier. Jump on the mushroom, then keep pressing left to
jump across the row of jump fairies to a higher mushroom, then basically
repeat this pattern all the way up the wall.

    5-star: I got a 110 ring chain.

    Commonly Encountered Items:
    Dragon-Eye Stone
    Quasi-Magic Stone
    Gold Ingot

Knight's Passage Perfect Challenge, Deep Woods Lancelot Returns

    Excalibur Sonic!
    Start with 100 Rings.

First there's a new move, you will see at the bottom of the screen you
can dodge left and right... not very useful IMO.

Anyway, first there is a barrier between you and the boss, slash a lot
    to get rid of it.

Dodge the bubbles or cut through them, it's best to dodge. The bubbles
do fill up your Soul Gauge a little though.

When the bosses arm comes up, shake the wii remote when the prompt comes
up. If you don't react in time, you get pushed back and you loose Rings.

Now your Soul Gauge has energy in it. Use Soul Surge to attack the boss
    and slash a lot.

If you wait to attack, she will try to slash you with her sword, but
    it's easy to avoid.

    Repeat

That is all. Very simple boss overall

5-star: Try to get in as many Perfect Hits as you can. It's a certain
rhythm you have to hit, not so you are shaking it wildly, shaken a
certain rate. Sometimes your Soul Gauge will even go up a little.

5-star reward: Dark Queen Developer's Data.

    Common Items Encountered (probably more):
    Orichalcum
    Mermaid's Tear
    Samurai Helmet
    Cure-all Broach
    Stone Broach
    Ice Broach
    Poison Broach

    5. Nostalgia! yet again!:
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
    (SPOILERS)

Here are some things in this game from other Sonic games:

Merlina looks just like Shahra from Secret Rings.

Other characters: Blacksmith is Tails, Lancelot is Shadow, Gawain is
Knuckles, Percival is Blaze, Lady of the Lake is Amy.

Battle Mode: Also appearing in Battle Mode are Silver and Jet.

Fairies look like Chao heads with wings, Chao being cute creatures you
could raise in the games Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.

Legacy Levels are based on older Sonic games, with booster pads, springs
and the fact you have to Homing Attack enemies.

World Rings you gather in Legacy Stages are from the Secret Rings.

Some of the Mission types are from the Secret Rings, as well as the
large Rings with a star in the middle (Rich Rings)

I read this on the Gamefaqs messageboard and confirmed it, Merlina uses
the same spell to summon Sonic that Erazor used to summon the Ifrit in
    Secret Rings.

Music from other games (tell me if I missed some, but I think I have a
pretty good ear, or at least I caught the ones that I listen to all the
time on my mp3 player, yep, I'm that kind of Sonic weirdo.):

Fan Art Videos Music is a remix of Sonic's theme from the Adventure
    series, "It Doesn't Matter."

At the very end of the game when Sonic encounters Amy, her theme from
Sonic Adventure "My Sweet Passion" plays.

Blacksmith's shop is a remix of Tail's theme from Sonic Adventure
    "Believe in Myself"

Wearing the Medal of Sonic plays "What I'm Made of", if I remember
correctly the final fight song from Sonic Heroes.

Wearing the Medal of Lancelot plays "All Hail Shadow", a song from
Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06, Sonic 06 version.

Wearing the Medal of Gawain plays "Unknown from M.E." Knuckle's theme
from Sonic Adventure series, this is the Sonic Adventure version.

Wearing the Medal of Percival plays "Vela-Nova" the Sonic vs. Blaze Boss
    fight from Sonic Rush.

After gathering all the World Rings, you unlock a remix of the theme for
Secret Rings by Crush 40 "Seven Rings in Hand."

Another fun fact: The gems in this game are the Birthstones; they appear
in order in the Gallery (though I am not sure of December's)
