------------------------------++++++++++++++++---------------------------------

Welcome to my guide for the little hyped Wii game "Cursed Mountain". Congrats
if you got the game, and I hope I can help you with this guide or you simply
enjoy reading it. I will try to keep *spoilers* to a minimum.

Cursed Moutain is a mix of a suspense horror action adventure game that mainly
convinces with a very dense atmospheric world and a well told story. You take
the role of Eric Simmons, who's looking for his younger brother who got lost
mysteriously on an expedition to the Sacred Mountain Chomolonzo.
Gameplay itself may be a bit slow, but this gives you more time to savor the
environment and let the story and atmosphere sink in...
The game was developed and published by Deep Silver, a division of Koch Media
GmbH, in August 2009 for the Wii and in February 2010 for the PC.

***Disclaimer***

If you find some error in my guide or have an idea how to improve it otherwise,
don't hesitate to contact me (see Legal Stuff / Contacts section).

Also, this guide is based on the European Wii version of this game and should
be correct also for the US and Japanese versions, but maybe some names differ.
If you notice differences/discrepancies between the versions, please contact me
and tell me about them, so I can include this in my guide (of course giving you
full credit).

Also, the PC version is bound to have different controls. As I don't have the
PC version, I'd need input from somebody who has it. Otherwise, I think at
least the walkthrough part should be pretty much identical.
If you have more info, don't hesitate to let me know.

-----------------------------+++++++++++++++++---------------------------------

The game itself slowly introduces all aspects of the controls to you the first
time they may be needed. But still, here's what all the buttons do. You need
both the Wiimote and a Nunchuck to play!

A button: - Perform actions prompted on the screen
(for example: open doors, grab symbols and so on)
          - Confirm selections in the menu

B button: - Perform a close range attack (with your axe)
          - Perform a spiritual attack (when in Third Eye mode)
          - Go back one step in the menu

- button: - Skip cutscenes

+ button: - Open and close your backpack (inventory)

1 button: - Pauses the game and opens the pause/options menu

2 button: - not used

D-pad: - Hold 'down' to go into First Person View mode

Wiimote - Move the cursor in the menu
pointer: - Aim when in Third Eye mode
          - Perform ritual movements

C button: - Hold to go into Third Eye mode

Z button: - Hold to run faster

Analog - Move your character around
stick: - Look around when in First Person View or Third Eye mode

Wiimote + - Shake both to climb faster (only straight up)
Nunchuck: - Shake both to get rid of clinging ghosts
          - Also used (individually) for ritual movements
          - Lasso movement (Wiimote) to turn prayer wheel for meditation
          - Forward punch (Nunchuck) to hit a Gong for meditation

(Oh, and I advise against using the Wii MotionPlus, it's too sensitive.)

                            + Game Mechanics + [_0400_]
----------------------------++++++++++++++++++---------------------------------

Getting around
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
You control your protagonist in 3D using the analog stick. The camera is most
of the time somewhat behind the character, so you see his whole body. Whenever
there's some action that can be performed, such as to climb, open a door or
pick up an item, this is indicated on-screen. Press A to perform said action.
To move faster, press the Z button on the Nunchuck - you'll run. Well, even
when running you're not actually fast. And when you're walking up some stairs,
it's still really slow.
If you want to look around in first person view, you can do that by pressing
'down' on the digital pad. When in this mode, use the analog stick to look
wherever you want to. You can't move while doing this, mind you.

Items or objects you can pick up are marked with a small glowing column so you
can seen them from far. Most things have a white column, incense sticks have a
red one.

A lot of areas are 'protected' surroundings like a city or a temple. However,
other areas (i.e. mountain tracks) may require you to fight through snow and
storms. Sometimes conditions are so harsh that you can run out of oxygen...
don't let this happen, you'll die.

Third Eye mode
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
At some point in the game you'll gain the ability to use your Third Eye. This
lets you see the world in a 'spiritual dimension' (press C on the Nunchuck).
Very similar to the first person view, you can look in all directions using the
analog stick, but you can't move! In Third Eye mode you can e.g. purify
objects/ghosts or also attack differently. Aim with the Wiimote pointer and
perform actions with A or attacks with B / Wiimote.

Fighting
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
A bit into the game you'll get a weapon. With this you can not only smash pots,
but also attack enemies (ghosts). Not too long after you'll also learn to use
your Third Eye. Now you can either swing your axe in normal mode for close
range attacks or go into Third Eye mode and attack with spiritual energy. For
this (as soon as you get the ability to do so), aim with the Wiimote pointer
and attack with B. The latter attack is recommended, as it's a long range way
to attack. The close range swing in normal mode puts you too close to the
enemy. However, the axe swing allows you to make a 3 hit combo attack, which
has the potential to kill enemies faster... it's up to you.

You'll also learn the Compassion Ritual, which is a finishing move in Third Eye
mode. When an enemy's health is down, you'll see a red symbol on it. Aim at it
with the pointer and press A. Now you have a few seconds (during which also no
other enemy will attack you, like a time freeze!) to perform the Ritual, which
consists of one or multiple quick movements with the Wiimote or the Nunchuck.
The four possible movements are:
- diagonal slash with Wiimote from top right to down left
- diagonal slash with Nunchuck from top left to down right
- forward thrust with Wiimote (point straight up and quickly thrust forward)
- forward thrust with Nunchuck (point straight up and quickly thrust forward)

Some more tips for the Compassion Ritual movements: don't hurry too much! Wait
a tiny moment before each individual swing, make sure you hold the Wiimote/
Nunchuck correctly, then make the gesture in one smooth movemement. It may help
if you hold the other hand completely still.

Of course, enemies can also hurt you, e.g. by slashing at you. If this happens
too many times and your health meter is reduced to zero, you die, so don't let
this happen.

Healing
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
If at any point you get hurt a lot and have barely any health left, you can
simply stand still and you'll regain a minimum amount of your health, to about
1/3 of your initial health (not if you die, of course). Also, if you finish a
ghost with the Compassion Ritual, you'll regain some health. However, more
efficiently you heal yourself when needed by igniting incense sticks on some
healing Shrines found throughout the game.

Menu/Backpack
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
In all menus you navigate with the Wiimote pointer. Make selections with A or
go back one step with B.
While player press the 1 button to pause the game and open the options menu. Or
press the + button to open your backpack, which holds your inventory. There you
can choose your weapon and items or read book and journal entries.

Saving
ŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The game has an Autosave feature. You have no free choice when to save, and you
also can't make a 'backup' save on another Climber's Log (e.g. to test
something). Saving is done in certain locations and after certain events.
(If you want some backup save from different locations you'll have to resort to
copying your Wii save state to memory cards and load these again...)

If you die
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
O nobly-born, that which is called death hath now come. Thou art departing from
this world, but thou art not the only one; death cometh to all. Do not cling,
in fondness and weakness, to this life. Be not attached; be not weak.

You can either return to the last saved climber's log or exit to the title
screen (where you can decide if you want to stop playing or load a different
one).

-----------------------------++++++++++++++++----------------------------------
                             + General Tips + [_0500_]
-----------------------------++++++++++++++++----------------------------------

- Run often, this makes the game slightly less slow to play.

- When you have the chance, use your spiritual power in Third Eye mode to
attack. This is safer than the close range axe swing.

- If your health is very low, do take the time to just stand still and heal a
bit for free (to the 'minumum' of about 1/3 of the initial health bar).

- Use the Compassion Ritual to finish off enemies whenever you don't have full
  health.

- Use the Lag Pa for groups of enemies to reduce their number quickly and more
  safely...

- ...however, in the last few levels, the harder enemies (climber ghosts and
lasso ghosts) often won't just let you do the easy Lag Pa ritual, they break
free before. You'd need to lash on several times until you can do it. So here
it's safer and faster to kill them with other weapons.

- If you have the choice, try running on solid rock instead of snow; it's much
  quicker.

- Once you start finishing an enemy with a Compassion Ritual, don't get hectic.
Time's frozen for a few seconds. Don't try making the swings too quickly, but
give the game time to record each individual swing. So make a tiny break
(like e.g. blink once or wait a heartbeat) and make sure you hold the
   Wiimote/Nunchuck correctly before each movement.)

- If you have the Wii MotionPlus enhancement, better not use it for this game.
I've found that the motion recognition is much more difficult.

===== Frank - Illusions of the Ego ============================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

You start in a snowstorm... move your character with the analog stick, press 1
to pause, press down on d-pad for 1st person view, and you can run when
pressing Z. Actions prompted on-screen can be performed with the indicated
button/Wiimote movement, but mostly it's just with A.

Follow the only possible path, along the marks your companion made.
When you're in front of the stone wall, press A to climb up.

'Cutscene'

Move on a bit, then watch more 'cutscenes'.

===== Eric - Shadows in Lhando ================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

'Cutscene' with Eric Simmons

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Find Edward Bennet's House  <--

Now you're controlling Eric Simmons. Move forward a bit and you'll get your
first Autosave

 -o- Autosave -o-

Don't worry. Even though Lhando might look a bit complex, the path will be very
linear and straight forward.
Turn left, then enter the house to the right. See the whitish light column?
These mark items you can take. So take the Ice Axe. From now on you can, by
pressing B, swing said Axe to smash e.g. pots (or attack enemies later).
Hit the pots and take the Rusty Key (press + to open your backpack, where you
can check: Weapons, Items, Books, Journal). You already have a Tape Recorder
and Incense Sticks.
Climb up the ladder, break the pot above and take a Lhando Chronicle (Frank's
Axe Has Mystical Powers, A dead climber's last words).
Take the back exit of the house (needs Rusty Key), turn left and follow the
narrow passage (you'll get your first strange black and white vision). Go
through the broken wall, turn left, over the water on the small bridge. Follow
the ghost vision... go on, turn left and run towards the prayer tower.
- Incense sticks can be ignited at the Shrines of Sangye Menla to heal yourself
(you'll find some later), they are marked with a red glow instead of the normal
whitish item glow. -
Pick up the Incense Sticks. Go left, hit the pot and pick up Lhando Chronicle
(Plea to Palden Lhamo). There's another Lhando Chronicle on the third smashed
stand (Ghost Rumors). Continue along the water and pick up more incense sticks
in the corner. On the other side of the prayer tower, there's a chopping block
and more incense sticks in a pot.
Leave this place right opposite of where you entered it. (You get a jogging
notice - it can wake up ghosts.) Continue... and get 'surprised'. (The red bar
decreases when you're hurt. It recovers slightly if you wait.)
Go on into the dead end and climb the ladder in the corner. Hit the pot right
in front and take the incense sticks.
Continue on the balcony, then jump when given the option. At the end of the
next balcony is a door you can enter. Pick up the Frank's Diary notes on the
table (Bennett's Telegram) and the Expedition Notes on the book shelf (Cursed
Expedition).
Exit through the opposite door and take the incense sticks hidden in the pot
behind the door. After that, climb down the ladder and follow the way (right if
your facing the ladder). Turn right when you can and go through the narrow
passage.
Go through the door straight ahead. Pick up the Small Key on the table. This
lets you open the door right on the opposite side. Go up the stairs, turn right
and go on, turn left and go up the narrow stairs.
Turn left and go into the dead end to find a Lhando Chronicle (Sad Goodbye to
Chomolonzo) in a pot. Turn around and walk back, now in the opposite direction.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go left, up a short flight of stairs. 'Cutscene'
Hold C to use the Third Eye... then while holding it, aim at the shrine in
front of you and press A with the cursor on the red symbol to rip it out. Then
purify it following the on-screen tutorial. (Activate Third Eye, rip out the
symbol and make a diagonal sideways movement with your Wiimote). From now on
you can use purified Shrines to heal yourself by igniting incense sticks. You
have to do it this time... then the monk's gone.
Opposite the Shrine is a pot holding some incense sticks. Now run back down the
stairs (right when facing the shrine), then go right into a dead end: there's
another Expedition Notes (A Climber Arrives in Lhando) in a pot.
Head back to the Shrine and go up the stairs on the other side (left when
facing the shrine) to finally find Bennett's House, so go in, or at least try
to. The door won't work as easily, though.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find something to increase the power of the ice axe <--

Run back all the way you came, down all the stairs, turn right.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Turn left and go down the narrow stairs... only to find a ghost at the bottom.
The game tells you what to do, so when you try to run by and you get grabbed,
shake your Wiimote and Nunchuck like crazy. Continue along the only possible
way and you'll soon meet your next ghost. This time you can hit back: use B to
swing your axe and hurt the ghost. Hit it 3 times and it disappears. But it's
not over yet! It reappears behind you, so turn around and hit it one last time
- poof, now it's gone.
You can heal at the nearby shrine if you need it, then go left past said
shrine. Down the stairs open the door. Inside the small house use your Third
Eye. Purify the working bench, then take the Kartrika that appears. This breaks
the symbol and the door (to Bennett's House) can now be opened. Aftwards turn
around and purify the wall carpet you your left. This opens a small side room
where you can find another Expedition Note (Foreign Devils Disturbed
Chomolonzo).
So run back to Bennet's House.

-o- Autosave -o- happens on the way

When you get there, you'll have to fight another ghost. With the Kartrika
equipped, best go into Third Eye mode, aim at the ghost and fire an energy
burst at it by pressing B. It will be gone after three shots and may leave some
incense sticks.
Now you can enter the house. In front of you are some stairs. To their right is
a Frank's Diary note (Bennett Reveals Prophecy), so take that, then go up the
stairs and turn right. Open the only door and go in. There's another door
straight in front of you, but that's closed (for now). So go up the stairs in
the right corner. Upstairs, take the Secret Vision (Chomolonzo's Hidden
Treasure), then enter the nearby door.

'Cutscene'

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Find Frank's ritual bell  <--

Pick up the Secret Vision (Bennett Visits Jomo Menmo) on the table in the
middle of the room, then leave it and go back down the stairs. The still closed
door down to the right now shows a symbol. Switch to Third Eye vision and
purify the door. (The door you came in is now closed.) Go through the newly
open door and go up the first flight of stairs. You'll find a Secret Vision
(Termas and Tertons) in a book shelf. Go up the second flight of stairs and
take the Ritual Bell standing in the corner.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Bring Frank's ritual bell to Bennett <--

Go back down the stairs...

 -o- Autosave -o-

...and take another Secret Vision (The Sacred One) from a book shelf (was that
there before...?). Go down entirely and try to exit the room - another ghost
will appear. Switch into Third Eye mode and fire away at the ghost. After two
or three hits you'll see a red glowing symbol on the ghost. Purify it now (aim
at the symbol, press A, then swing the Wiimote). Finishing a ghost that way is
called the Compassion Ritual. Performing this heals you a bit in case you've
been hurt before.
Now you can go through the door. Next, go again up the stairs that lead to
Bennett's room and enter it. Fight another ghost and you'll get another
cutscene, revealing a bit more about Bennett.

===== Facing The Yogini =======================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

There's a short intro 'cutscene' and you're on the way to the tiny village of
CherkuInto, to Cherku.

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Search for survivors  <--

Run forward, along the narrow path until you're close to the village, which is
'blocked' by prayer spears. See where the ghost goes to? If you follow him
you'll see a Shrine and hear some humming. There's small cave. Approach it.

'Cutscene'

The pot there may contain some incense sticks. Go back a bit, then turn left
towards the village.

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the village shaman <--

Go through the forest of prayer spears and fight off the ghost, then enter the
village.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Past the first house to the right, a ghost appears. If you follow him, he'll
eventually attack, so fight him off. For this one, the Compassion Ritual takes
two Wiimote slashes. (One pot behind you may contain some incense sticks.) Go
back around the house and turn right (as if you went straight ahead from the
entrance). The house to your left, which has a torch beside its door, is
sealed, you can't enter yet; and so's the one to your right. Continue straight
away from the village entrance. The house in front to the left is sealed as
well. Behind it you can see a ghost walk up some stairs to the left. Follow it
and fight it. The pot there has some incense sticks. Go back down the stairs
and turn right. If you go left, then right around the house, you'll find a
healing Shrine. Go back towards the third sealed house, but don't go to its
entrance. Instead turn left (in case you come directly from the village
entrance: right), fight a ghost and go through the village exit.

 -o- Autosave -o-

If you turn left and follow the path up, you'll find two pots (one has incense
sticks) and a blocked village gate. So get back, and you'll see some misty
ghost things pass. Follow them, go down the steep path (left if you come from
the gate) to the lower village. Turn left and enter the house. In the room to
the right you can find a Secret Vision (Sealing Ritual) on the table. The room
up the stairs holds a Frank's Diary note (A Climber Prepares) door opposite the
entrance is sealed - and you'll have to break it.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find and destroy three symbols in the upper village <--

Get back out and turn left around the house. You'll have to fight another
ghost. Be careful, as he's very close. Either be quick or try to get some
distance for your spiritual attack. Afterwards, go straight ahead, up some very
narrow stairs. Turn left and face a buddha statue. Purify it to get one of
Jomo's Prophecies (Nomo Menmo's First Prophecy). Look at the buddha statue
again (press A to Look), and the statue will get repaired - AND you'll get a
health increase!
Now get back down the stairs. If you want, you can go left. The pots a bit on
to the right side may contain some incense sticks, but the path leads you
straight ahead, even if not far. The gate is collapsed - and you have to fight
another ghost.
Now you'll definitely have to tackle the three symbols. Remember the three
houses that are blocked? ...so back up to the upper village part. When you
reach the top of the steep part and want to enter the upper village, you get
attacked by three ghosts... the first two take two hits plus Compassion Ritual,
the third one three hits plus the double swing Ritual.
Run straight and stand in front of the door of the first house you see with a
torch on the right side. Go into Third Eye mode and purify the door (aim at the
symbol, aim at it and press A, now this time you have to swing the Nunchuck,
not the Wiimote). Enter the door, go into the right room, up the stairs and
take the Secret Vision (Cleansing the Air) that's on the table. Now enter the
side room, right of the table and grab the Mahakala Seal Fragment lying around.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the remaining seal fragments <--

There's also a Frank's Diary note (Bennett Says Don't Open the Treasure) on a
shelf in the room. While trying to take it you'll be attacked by another ghost.
He takes four hits (or three plus Compassion Ritual, this time with a Nunchuck
and a Wiimote Slash). After that, leave the house.

 -o- Autosave -o-

There are two more houses waiting, so go towards the original village entrance.
Enter the house with a torch beside its door to the left of you (purify the
door with a Nunchuck push this time). Go in the left room and pick up a Lhando
Chronicle (Hungry Ghosts). If you go a bit further in the next room and come
back, you'll fight a normal ghost. After that, go down into the cellar. If you
go through the nearby door there's some more ghost appearances. Under the
stairs you can find some incense sticks. Just when you took them and want to
leave the small room again, you'll be attacked by a ghost, who's really close
already, so maybe hack at him with your axe first, before switching to the
spiritual attack (it'll take again two Ritual swings). Go ahead around the
corner to find the Palden Seal Fragment.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the last seal fragment <--

Leave this house (not sure if there's an Autosave here) and go (in)to the one
directly opposite. You'll have to go left around a small wall. On the way
you'll be attacked again by a normal ghost. Get rid of them, then purify the
symbol on the door of the third house. Btw, right of the door is a healing
Shrine, in case you need it.
Enter the house and deal with the appearing ghost. There's another ghost in the
room left to you. Behind it, there's a pot holding some incense sticks. And
there's a Lhando Chronicle (The Curse Brings Death) lying on the table. Grab
it, then go back and up the stairs in the first room. Take the Yama Seal
Fragment lying on a shelf.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> All seal fragments found. Open the locked door in the lower village <--

If you check your items, the three seal fragments have formed the Door Seal.
Get back down the stairs - there's another ghost waiting for you. This one
takes three swings for the Compassion Rituals (if you do it and don't kill him
normally). After it's gone, leave the house.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Run around the small wall blocking the way and go back towards the lower
village. You won't get far: already in the center of the village you get
attacked. This time it's a Ghost Korlo, quite a nasty thing. There are some
symbols on the walls around and you can only continue if you purify/break these
first. First of all, your health gradually decreases with time, so hurry.
Additionally, you get attacked by ghosts...

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find and destroy the two symbols that bind the Ghost Korlo <--

Two of the ghosts are normal ones, the third one is a bit quicker and also
takes more swings for the Compassion Ritual. The two symbols that bind you are:
one on the wall of the house left of the (2nd) village exit towards the lower
part, and one in the far upper right corner (when facing uphill). So hurry and
destroy the symbols.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Run back down the steep slope to the lower village part. Enter the first house
again. Inside, you'll notice that the three symbols aren't glowing anymore.
Approach the door and use the Door Seal to open it. Go through and head right.

-o- Autosave -o-

You'll find some incense sticks lying in the dead end corner. Turn around and
go back. Opposite the door you just came through are some small stairs. Climb
them, then up a ladder. On the roof you'll be attacked by a ghost. Get rid of
it, then go on; jump over the gap and climb the next ladder. There's again a
ghost attacking up there. It's a bit tricky to fight, as it's quite narrow. You
may have to resort to using your normal axe at least for the first attack.
Afterwards, you can continue in the right corner (pointing towards the shaman
tent), just walk over. There's a healing Shrine to your right and a small
corral in front of you. If you enter that and smash the pots for some incense
sticks, you'll fight another ghost.
After that, go around the right house (not the one with a torch). In the dead
end corner switch to Third Eye mode and you'll see a red symbol on a dark
statue on the house wall. Purify it and a ghost will attack. When you kill
that, you'll get to pick up a red buddha statue, the Wrath of Ekajati.
Honestly, I don't know what that thing does...
Next go into the other house, the one with a torch on the left side of its
door. You'll get some short 'cutscene' and see a ghost wandering around. All
you can (and have to) do first is ignite the incense sticks that are
distributed on the ground floor. Only now can you attack and purify the
wandering ghost, when he's in the smoke circle of the incense sticks.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go up the long stairs, turn left and enter the room in the back. You'll find a
Secret Vision (Secret Door) on a table. Go back to the narrow passage where the
stairs arrived. Go into Third Eye mode and you'll notice a red symbol on a
carpet on a wall. Purify it. Open the door that appeared and go out. There's a
healing Shrine out there, if you need it. Continue up the ladder, turn left and
pick up the Frank's Diary note (Cherku) lying on the floor beside a pot. Go
back a few steps and climb the next short ladder leading up to some ledge. To
your left you can see the large blocked village gate. However, you want to go
right towards the shaman tent.

 -o- Autosave -o-

There's a point of no return coming up, so if you feel you've missed anything,
do what you have to before going on.
A bit on there's a wooden suspended plank bridge leading over a large gap. Go
over it. There's a small 'cutscene', and you'll have to press A to jump before
the bridge collapses (xxx I'm not sure if you die in case you don't jump
quickly enough xxx).

 -o- Autosave -o-

Run along the only possible path, taking you up the moutain. After a sharp turn
there's a ghost attacking (needs three swings for the Compassion Ritual), then
continue further. Go through the gate to your right and head up to Jomo Menmo's
tent.

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Follow Jomo Menmo to the ritual site <--

So, do what the old Yogini tells you to do: follow her. Hurrying, though, is
impossible. You can't use the run button (nor your Third Eye), so all you can
do is slowly walk after her. Quite annoying, slow and too long, but well...

'Cutscene'

===== Into The Darkness =======================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find a way out of the chasm <--

First thing, turn around and walk into the narrow path away from the misty
circle that was in front of you. You'll find two pots (one has some incense
sticks) and a statue of Aksobbaya, the Buddha of Wisdom. Go into Third Eye
vision and purify the symbol on the statue. You'll get on of Jomo's Prophecies
(Jomo Menmo's Second Prophecy). Look (press A) at the buddha statue again and
you'll get another healt upgrade! YAY!
Now go back to where this chapter started and walk over the misty patch -
you'll be attacked by two quite quick ghosts. Your spiritual attack probably
won't recharge quickly enough for you to be able to just stand there and ward
them off. So either run between your spiritual shots or attack them with the
normal axe swing. Btw, try to finish them off quickly, as similar to the
earlier Ghost Korlo, you'll get hurt from the environment with time. Oh, and
aftwards, don't forget the incense sticks in one of the pots.
Continue straight ahead (opposite from where you started out), up the narrow
path. Go past the Shrine (which has lost its power) and the two pots blocking
your way.

 -o- Autosave -o-

There's a carved manistone ahead, and a working healing Shrine. Use it if you
need to heal. The manistone can be purified and reveals a secret passage. Go
into that and you'll reach a larger prayer room with a statue at its end. On
the right side are three pots, and each one holds some incense sticks. On the
left side is a table with a Lhando Chronicle (Immured Anchorite). Now purify
the statue - a ghost will appear. When you get rid of it, you'll find a red
buddha statue (Wrath of Ekajati) in front of the large statue. Pick it up. Get
back out and go past the healing Shrine.
Beware of the upcoming part where you can see some mist. Keep along the left
wall to avoid some ghost arms reaching out of the right side. Mind you, these
arms take a lot of your health should you touch them! You'll get to a part
where you have to Walk (this is an A command) over a narrow edge... and there
are more of these strange ghost arm tentacle things sticking out. So go near
the place where they stick out and wait until they disappear for a short while.
Quickly (...lol...) walk on as far as you can and wait again in front of the
second set of arms. Continue as soon as these disappear, too. Rinse and repeat
for the third set, then you're over.
Continue and ignore the ghost that keeps reappearing behind you about four
times. It'll eventually appear before you and attack, so now's your time to get
rid of it. Walk on through the misty ground.

 -o- Autosave -o-

You get to a quite open patch, like a basin. There are some low stone wall all
over. To your left there's a large gate - but it's blocked. In the far right
corner there's a healing Shrine. In the back there are two pots, holding some
incense sticks. The most prominent part, however, are three statues. They start
glowing when you approach them. Do so for all three...

////////// BOSS FIGHT \\\\\\\\\\

A vulture-like flying creature comes swooping down the mountains and attacks
you.

One thing in advance: the healing Shrine also works during the fight, so use it
if you need to!

The best way to deal with this foe is by using spiritual attacks. Already at
the start of the fight you can get one or two hits in from a distance.
The vulture may warp somewhere else and reappear. If it does so, simply run
around. The vulture will come closer and try to attack you. It has one main
attack: it bows down and screams out. This has quite a large radius and hurts a
lot (you can take about 3-4 hits), but it's quite slow in doing so, so take a
few more running steps until you hear the scream, then face it and shoot again.
The second, less frequent attack is a swoop towards you. However, it doesn't
always hit and a few steps sideways dodge it. Attack and hit the vulture about
7 times, then it will recharge in the center of the three columns.
Ugh! The vulture would heal itself indefinitely, so we need to find another
way. You may have noticed that the protection field around the three statues
has disappeared. So you can now purify the columns (as in: destroy their
symbols in Third Eye mode). Do so for the nearest column and a ghost will come
attacking. Deal with it, all while dodging the vulture's attack. Once the ghost
is gone, also the power of the statue has disappeared. Rinse and repeat for all
three statues (the one in the back contains the strongest ghost).
Now you can finally attack the vulture without it recharging using the power of
the statues. Hit it 6-7 more times, then you can use a 4 swing Compassion
Ritual on it. This will make it fly away for good.
Defeating the vulture lets you purify the things that block the way through the
large gate. Do so and go through it.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go up the steep path, grab the incense sticks in one of the two pot and go on.
I wonder who put all these colored flags up here...? Eventually you'll reach a
slightly larger patch - which is like a Ghost Korlo. You can't go back and lose
energy over time. So hurriedly Look at the pile of rubbish blocking the way up
(use A to look), then you can purify it (break the symbol). A ghost will appear
close behind you, so quickly turn around and attack it. Once you kill it, the
area clears up and you can pick up a Secret Vision (Imprisoning The Demon)
lying on the ground nearby. Continue through the gate...

 -o- Autosave -o-

...and run further up. There's a dead end ahead, but you can climb up the rocks
a bit before it. You'll also get a notice that you can climb faster by shaking
the Wiimote and the Nunchuck (much like shaking off a ghost). But this only
works when climbing up, not sideways.
When you reach the path above, go right (downwards) to find two incense sticks
in two pots. Then head back upwards, all along the only way. (There's one ghost
on the way.) Walk over the ledge and you'll find a working healing Shrine.
Behind it, the way through a gate is blocked again. Look (press A) at that pile
and go really close to it.

'Cutscene'

You'll land near a broken suspension bridge, so get moving in the other
direction. You'll reach another suspension bridge, from where you can see
Cherku village. Cross it and go down the path. You'll see a ghost a bit
further, which will attack you from behind once you cross a certain line. So
run on a few steps, then turn around to face and kill it. Continue downwards.

 -o- Autosave -o-

In front of you there's Jomo's tent. As the path to the village is blocked, go
to the tent.

'Cutscene'

////////// BOSS FIGHT \\\\\\\\\\

You'll have to fight the vulture spirit again!
As the vulture hasn't changed its tactics, there's no need for you to change
yours. Attack from the distance with your spiritual shot. Always after two hits
the spirit will warp somewhere else. If he's close, run on until it has done
it's scream attack, turn around and fire. If it's diving at you, run sideways a
bit to dodge.
After seven hits (it has taken me ten hits on a second play through...) you can
see a red symbol on the vulture in Third Eye vision, so purify it asap, it will
take a four swing combo.
Finally it's defeated! Grab the Kartrika Empowerment of Palden Lhamo it drops.

===== A Ritual Disturbed ======================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Find a way to the Nyen-de-kyi-buk monastery  <--

That cutscene at the end of the last chapter somehow gave you one of Jomo's
Prophecies (Jomo Menmo's Third Prophecy), and with that, your third health
increase! YAY!
Go ahead, up the steep narrow path, and enter the small house in front of you.
Pick up the Secret Vision (The Dark Jhator) lying on a crate, then go out of
the house through the back door. Follow the path, up to the next terrace. A
heap of rocks blocks your way straight ahead, so turn right and cross the
rivulet. Inside the small hut in front of you you can find one of Frank's Diary
notes (Meeting Jomo Menmo). Follow the rivulet upstream a few steps, smash the
four pots (one of them holding some incense sticks) and continue along the way.
Walk over the ledge, then up past the prayer spears. You'll have to fight one
ghost, then go through a narrow passage in a wall. Head on upwards. Just before
a stone gate there are two pots holding some incense sticks. Get through the
gate.

 -o- Autosave -o-

You'll immedately be attacked by two ghosts. Given how close they are and how
narrow the area is, best start attacking them with your normal axe swings. Go
for the one ahead of you first. Land some hits, then run in the opposite corner
of the area and start taking them out with your spirital attack if you have the
time. If not, keep hacking at them till they're no more.
Now go further up (again a narrow path) to the next terrace and open the door
to the small hut. Be ready for an up-front attack. Land a hit, then walk back a
few steps and fire spiritual shots until it's over. Inside the hut is another
Secret Vision (The Dark Jhator and the Bardo). Out of the hut, turn right and
go on.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Use the healing Shrine if you need to. The next hut is closed, so keep going.
Cross the small river, turn right and cross it just again over the stone
bridge. If you don't run up the hill yet, but turn right, you'll see a statue
at the back wall of the closed hut. If you purify it and kill the appearing
ghost, this will net you another small red buddha statue (Wrath of Ekajati).
However, I suggest you wait a bit and just continue uphill, again over the
small river, past a pot holding some incense sticks up to a house with a red
door. A symbol appears when you approach it protecting and locking the door. So
turn back. Shoot the appearing ghost from afar, then go pick up what appeared
on the small stone bridge: a Very Old Key.
Remember the first hut after the Shrine that was locked? Go back to it (down
the slope, now get the small red buddha statue I mentioned earlier, then over
the river, left and back over it) - the key will now open the door, so enter.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Pick up the Secret Vision (The Dark Jhator and the Hungry Ones), then purify
the symbol on the other wall. This will awaken four ghosts on the other side of
the river. Three of these will come for you. Don't wait inside the small hut,
but go outside to fight them off. After the attack you can find something lying
on the place the ghosts came from. Pick up the Thoba - Ritual Hammer.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Bring the hammer to the ritual site <--

Go back up to the house with the red door. You can now open its door, so go in.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Inside you can find to the right a Secret Vision (The Dark Jhator and the Kila)
and, to the left, the Kila - Ritual Dagger. After a short 'cutscene' you will
have to fight six ghosts, but only ever two at a time, but this three times.
After the fight you can leave the house through the back door.
Pick up the incense sticks hidden in a pot ahead, turn left and run all
straight along the way. (Don't turn right yet to up the narrow passage up to
the next terrace.) You'll pass a healing Shrine (no need to use it) and find a
large statue at the dead end. It's another statue of Aksobhya, the Buddha of
Wisdeom. Purify it to get one of Jomo's Prophecies (Jomo Menmo's Fourth
Prophecy). With it, you'll also get a fourth health increase! YAY!
Time for backtracking. Run past the healing Shrine, then keep along the left
wall. Run up the narrow passage to the next terrace, straight ahead a bit, and
up again. Cross the small river and keep going straight, through the stone
gate.

 -o- Autosave -o- (iirc???)

Go to the middle of the round place and Look (A command) at the blood stained
rock.

'Cutscene'

Be ready for the quick time event-like shaking of the Wiimote and the
Nunchunck. Once you're free, you'll have to fight. The ghost that walks around
quite slowly takes two hits plus Ritual. The other one is more dangerous, as
he's flying around. That makes him harder to hit. Add to that his ability to do
a spiritual attack (he fires at you). So take care and aim well. After the
fight you can pick up the Kila.

Cutting Through Ignorance

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Go to the monastery <--

Now you have the choice between the Kartrika and the Kila. Choose what you
prefer. To change, open your backpack (+ button) and select on the Weapons tab.
While the Kartrika has the higher firing rate (less recharge time), the Kila's
attack is quite a bit stronger (about 2 times).
Run up all the way to the wooden suspension bridge. Kill the two ghosts
attacking you on the bridge, then go on.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Can you feel the rumbling of your Wiimote? Get ready for a quick time event.
Simply press A when prompted to to avoid the falling rocks. Keep going until
you get to the monastery, then go in.

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Find Thod-pa  <--

When you come up the dark stairs you reach the large open central hall, turn
left and smash the pot for some incense sticks. Btw, to the right (or, if you
look back at the stairs, in the left corner), there's a healing Shrine, should
you need one around here. Now walk ahead (away from the stairs you came from)
and you'll see a lot of dead bodies. Of course, two ghosts will attack you,
too. Be quick, as they start quite close to you. After they're defeated, keep
going straight away from the stairs and pick up the Old Rusted Key you see
lying around.
Go up the few steps and look at the door between the two large metal prayer
wheels.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the door seal <--

Go back a few steps and look at the two prayer wheels in Third Eye vision. They
both show a red symbol. You can activate both, but nothing happens yet. Turn
left and you'll see a door in the corner. Go there, turn left again and go
ahead a bit: there's some incense sticks in the pot nearby. If you follow the
wall, there's another door (at ground floor height). Go through that.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go left, down the short stairs, then up the ladder to your right. The second
pot holds a Ganesha Seal Fragment.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the second seal fragment <--

Climb back down the ladder, then go around the room, up all the stairs. (Don't
go out into the central hall yet.) That takes you to a second room. Pick up the
Small Key lying on the floor, then get back into the central hall. Turn left
and go up ahead, to the other door. Thanks to the Old Rusted Key you can open
this one. Go into the room and find a Lhando Chronicle (Monks Spread The
Warning) on a table among some mattresses. Go back to the door you came in
through and face away from it. The door to the right takes you to a room with
only a pot in it, that - when smashed - makes a ghost appear, so there's no use
going in there. The door to the left can be opened with the Small Key. It leads
down into the cellar.
Go down and smash the pot directly under the stairs. It contains a Lhando
Chronicle (Fleeing Novices). Continue past the shelves and open the door to the
left. Pick up the Ganeshani Seal Fragment lying on a table.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Insert the repaired seal into the door <--

You'll be attacked by a ghost, react quickly and kill it (it starts out very
close). Then go back one room (there's another ghost to kill), up the stairs
and out into the central hall. Go ahead to the large door between the metal
prayer wheels and Use the seal fragments. Make a few steps back and purify both
wheels to activate them. This opens the door.
Two ghosts will zoom out. It's again the ones flying around. Eliminate them,
then go through the door.
To your left there's a Frank's Diary note (Summitting Chomolonzo) on a shrine.
Now walk around the statue in the center and take the back exit. There are some
incense sticks hidden in one of the pots on the balcony. Enjoy the view, then
turn and go up the long stairs until you reach a stone bridge. Here the view is
even better...

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go ahead, open the big wooden door and enter the smaller temple. There are two
really annoying ghosts in there. You have to ignite incense sticks (A command)
to be able to attack them. Do so quickly (there are four possilbe places, at
each column) and get rid of them.
To the right side of the large statue in the room is a Lhando Chronicle (Prayer
to Amitayus). Pick it up, then open the door to the right (if you're standing
in front of the buddha statue) of the large one you entered through. Go through
and smash the pots in front of you: one of them contains some incense sticks.
To the right there's a healing Shrine. Go further right, through the next door.
The pot in front of you holds some incense sticks.
Go left up the stairs.

 -o- Autosave -o-

In a dark corner on your left side (somwhat behind some stairs) are three pots,
of which one contains incense sticks. The main temple doors are locked, so go
up the wooden stairs.

'Cutscene'

Keep going up (returning to the door is of no use), then enter through the door
you'll find. Run straight through the monks' refectory and go through the next
door. You'll see a door ahead of you, but it's blocked by a spiritual symbol.
So go directly left (behind the door you came in through), down some stairs.
Look through the room - about halfway through you'll be attacked by a ghost.
Upon killing it, the seal on the door above vanishes, so head back up. Turn
left and go through the newly open door.
To your left is the door to the upper monastery, but it's locked. One of the
pedestrals beside it lacks its buddha statue...

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the missing Buddha statue <--

So turn around and go straight, over the wooden bridge towards the alternative
temple entrance. Open the reddish door and go in. There's a flight of stairs
leading down and a second door. Turn right and go into the door in front of
you. Go left through the room (short 'cutscene') and try to go through the next
door to the left - it's locked.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find a key to the Main Shrine <--

So head back to the previous room and go down the stairs ahead to the right.
There's a door to the temple room, but it's heavily enchanted with three
spiritual symbols. So go down one more flight of stairs. Here there are some
incense sticks hidden in a pot (back under the stairs) and there's a Large Key
on a corner nearby. Pick it up and a ghost appears. Get rid of it, then take
the door to the right (when looking from the Key corner towards the stairs). Go
up the stairs and around the temple on the wooden planks. You can enter again
through a collapsed part of the wall. Go all the way in, past a statue. You'll
be attacked by a weak ghost - and killing it removes one seal symbol on the
sidedoor to the temple. There's also a Secret Vision (Studying Ghosts) on a
small table in a corner. Pick it up, then go back outside, around the outer
walls and in to the main building again (where you found the Large Key).
Go up the stairs, then go through the door to the right of the enchanted one
(a bit left and ahead when you come up the stairs). You can see a healing
Shrine in front of you, but before you can reach it you'll be attacked by
another weak ghost. When you kill it, the second seal symbol will disappear
from the heavily enchanted one. Of course, use the Shrine if you need to. Don't
forget to also smash the pot to the right of the Shrine and pick up the Lhando
Chronicle (108 Koras).
Now head back inside and go upstairs, then through the left door. Turn left and
advance, to the door that was locked before. You can open it now with the Large
Key you got before. The pots in the corner of the next room, which is actually
the second half of the room where the stairs came up, contain some incense
sticks. Pick them up, then climb up the ladder. This takes you to the roof of
the building. Walk around a bit and you'll get attacked by three ghosts, all
three are the flying type that can shoot spiritual energy (two of them take
three, the other one four swings for the Compassion Ritual). As long as there
is more than one of them, don't stay in one place, but attack one, then move a
bit and attack again. Once you've finished them, the third and last seal symbol
of the door to the temple will be broken.

 -o- Autosave -o-

There are also some incense sticks hidden in one of the three pots up here, so
grab them, then head back down the ladder, through the next two doors and down
the first flight of stairs. Enter the temple through the now un-sealed door. A
bit ahead to the left there's a large statue - and a Small Buddha Statue item
in front of it. So pick that up, of course.
After a small 'cutscene' you'll get attacked by a quite fast moving ghost,
again a flying one, in Ghost Korlo style, so you lose some energy with time.
I don't think you can kill it in time, but after a while it'll disappear 'on
its own' and leave behind a new weapon upgrade, the Lag Pa.

 -o- Autosave -o-

With this, from now on, you can grab a ghost by pressing B (in Third Eye mode).
You can then start the compassion ritual when you flinch the front of the
Wiimote towards you, like a fishing movement when a fish bites... Keep in mind,
though, as you will not regain any health if you kill a ghost that way.
To the right of the (closed) main temple door you can find a Lhando Chronicle
(Protecting the Main Shrine) on a table. Pick it up, then exit the temple
through the door you came in. Go up the stairs and exit through the right door.
Run straight ahead and Use (A command) the Buddha statue on the pedestral. Now
the door between the pedestrals is open. Go through, then right up the many
stairs. At the top, there are some incense sticks in the single pot in front of
you. As soon as you approach the narrow stairs...

'Cutscene'

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Record the mantras of the dead lamas <--

You continue inside a room. First pick up the Lhando Chronicle (Beating the
Gong) beside you. If you fancy a nice view over the monastery, go out through
the door on the balcony. But other than looking around, there's nothing to do,
so go back inside and down the stairs, then exit through the door downstairs.
Go over the wooden bridge, then climb down the ladder. Down there, there's a
Secret Vision (The Bardo) lying on a table. Go right from there and look at the
statue in front of you in Third Eye mode. Purify the symbol and pick up the
notes that are appearing, Jomo's Prophecies (Jomo Menmo's Fifth Prophecy). This
grants you your fifth Health Upgrade and fills your health up! YAY! Now turn
around and go through the red door ahead of you.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go right, along the balcony and on the rocks. Now follows a bit of a strange
task - you need to sneak up to the ghosts to record their mantras... No, it's
no Metal Gear like stealth mission. What you have to do is walk up the path
without disturbing the ghosts. Use your Third Eye and you'll see some spikes
emerging from the ground. Walk around them and you'll be fine. It's still not
always easy, as they're really not well visible, so only advance slowly,
checking for spikes ever so often in Third Eye vision. Once you are close to
one, Use (A command) your tape recorder to record its mantra. If you touch a
spike, you lose some health and the ghosts disappear. If you get too close to a
ghost, it will also disappear. In both cases, you'll have to restart from the
very bottom.

Below is a schematic of the approximate path:

'Cutscene'

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Defeat the Shrine Keeper Ghost <--

After the scene, you'll directly start in a fight. Well, first you gotta find
yourself somehow by swinging the Wiimote. You'll see the on-screen command to
shake your Wiimote in a lasso motion until the screen goes dark and the Shrine
Keeper Ghost appears. Well, with your new weapon, the Lag Pa, this fight is
rather easy: lash on to the ghost (aim in Third Eye vision and attack with B),
pull it towards you (flick Wiimote upwards), then enter the four Compassion
Ritual swings.

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find the monastery entrance <--

(You got a letter of introduction from Thod-pa to the abbot of Dege Gonchen
Monastery, Khenpo Jigme Lingpa.)

Run up the path and turn right as soon as you can (the way turn almost 180
degrees). Smash the pot straight ahead for some incense sticks, then go up to
the left and pick up a Lhando Chronicle (A Heartfelt Plea). When you try to
leave, back the way you came, you'll be attacked by a ghost, so kill it, then
go back. Down the narrow stairs, then right and follow the path straight ahead.
Follow the strange ghosts further up and you'll arrive in front of the
monastery, a huge red building. To the left of the main entrance is a pot
holding some incense sticks. On the opposite side in a corner there's a healing
Shrine. Now go to the main gate.

'Cutscene'

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find another way into the monastery <--

Turn around and go back down the stairs, only to be attacked by five (!) flying
ghosts. Best take out your Lag Pa, this allows you to get rid of them quite
quickly, even though you won't get any health for the ritual. The strongest of
them packs quite a punch and takes five swings with the Wiimote for the ritual.
Use the health Shrine nearby if you need it.
Then there has a new path appeared: go back up the wooden stairs and turn right
in front of them.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Walk on the narrow ledge, then turn right first. In a corner of the following
small square place there's a shrine holding some Lhando Chronicle (Monastery
Reconstruction). Of course, this causes another ghost to appear, so get rid of
it. There's also a pot hiding some incense sticks to the left of the door on
the house wall. Afterwards go back the narrow passage you came, but don't go
back to the main entrance but go straight up the stone stairs. Follow the way
and go up the upcoming wooden stairs. A ghost will appear on the next floor, so
eliminate it. Continue on some boxes, then Walk (A command) over the narrow
blue ledge. Climb up the wall on the other side.
Examine the plateau you're on: there are some incense stick in a pot in a far
away corner. Go back and climb up the ladder to the wooden construction work
planks and walk over.

 -o- Autosave -o-

When you smash the pots on the next small plateau, a ghost will attack. Kill
it, pick up the incense sticks, then climb up the next ladder. On top, you'll
have to balance over a plank - use your Wiimote for that, as indicated
on-screen. Tilt it left or right to keep the balance (best hold it steady) and
tilt it forward to advance slowly. If you don't correct the balance, Eric may
fall to his death. On the other side, climb the ladder, then Jump (A command)
on the roof.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go ahead and turn right. There you can Jump on another roof part. At its end
you have to walk over another plank. Do so carefully, then climb down the
ladder to your right. There's a healing Shrine just beside you. Use it if you
want, then go around the corner and Jump where the fence is broken. In front of
the third of the giant statues to your left there's a note from Frank's Diary
(Unhappy Monks). Just right of it are two pots holding some incense sticks.
As soon as you move up the small stairs, a short cutscene starts and you're
trapped in a Ghost Korlo. First, make sure you have the Lag Pa equiped so you
can eliminate the three flying ghosts as quickly as possible. Then run to the
three statues and purify them asap to end the Korlo. Phew! Afterwards, go to
the stone stairs in the left corner (when facing away from the statues).

 -o- Autosave -o-

Don't forget to pick up the Lhando Chronicle (Hiding Beneath Stairs) under the
stairs. Only then climb them up. Upstairs, to your left, the leftmost of the
three pots holds some incense sticks. Pick them up, then enter the door beside
the stairs. Go up the next wooden stairs, up to a storage room, where a ghost
will attack you. Get rid of it and continue up another set of stairs. There you
have to Walk another plank, so do it carefully, then climb up the ladder on the
other side.

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Enter the monastery  <--

Straight ahead are some wooden planks, but if you look to your left, you can
see some pots and a dark statue on the other side on another part of the roof.
Still, go straight ahead to the wooden planks. There are two ladders attached
to them, both leading down. If you want another Lhando Chronicle and a
temporary power-up, take the one to your left first. Climb down and go to the
other end of this roof part. Walk over the two wooden planks along the wall to
the other side. The pot ahead (to the right of the dark statue) contains some
incense sticks, while one of the two pots opposite of the statue (to the right
when you come from the planks) holds the next Lhando Chronicle (Chomolonzo Has
Changed). Also don't forget to purify the dark statue, kill the appearing ghost
and pick up the small red buddha statue (Wrath of Ekajati) - it will be useful
for the next fight. ( *Thanks to Yurikoff* )
Now get back over the narrow planks, then up the small ladder again. Turn left
and Climb down the other, longer ladder. Turn around, get on the red roof part
and continue to the left. Walk right, on the ledge.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go down the stone stairs and you'll arrive in the middle of the monastery on a
square open place. There's a shrine in its center.

'Cutscene'

You're under attack, and it's again these flying ghosts, three of them this
time. Make sure you have the Lag Pa equipped and eliminate two of them as
quickly as possible. If you need the energy, go for the last one with the Kila
(land one attack, then move out of the way, attack, move etc.), else kill the
third one also 'the easy way' with the Lag Pa.
After the fight, heal if necessary using the nearby healing Shrine (left side
of the place when facing the large statue, near where you came down the
stairs). Also don't forget to pick up the Lhando Chronicle (Khenpo Jigme
Lingpa's Trance) on the shrine in the middle of the place, on the side facing
the healing Shrine. Now approach one of the large doors beside the buddha
staue.

'Cutscene'

Open the door and go in.

'Cutscene'

Approach Khenpo Jigme Lingpa, the sitting monk and Talk (A command) to him.
(The introduction letter is gone now.)
Follow the instructions on-screen to meditate with the monk. Swing the Wiimote
like a lasso, and push forward with the Nunchuck from time to time - until the
screen goes black.

===== Twilight Of The Bardo ===================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ

You're in the Bardo now, in some dark, narrow room.

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Enter the monastery  <--

Find the door (in front and to the right of you) and go one room further.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Turn left and go up the stairs. You'll find a 'room' with three stone buddha
statues.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Nice intro... I wonder what this could mean...?
This part is like a Ghost Korlo - the green mist makes you lose energy, and
quickly. So purify the seal symbols on the three buddha status as fast as you
can. Each broken symbol will make a ghost appear. When all three are broken,
the mist will disappear and the three ghosts will attack. They're not strong,
so use the Kila and Compassion Ritual to gain some energy back from them.
Now run into the heavy wind, along the only way. You'll find a healing Shrine,
so use it to replenish your health, then continue down, along the narrow path.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Don't listen too closely and press A as soon as you can, then whiggle your
Wiimote and Nunchuck up and down to escapt the green mist. Follow the strange,
semitransparent path down to an open place, then enter the building.

 -o- Autosave -o-

If you desperatly need some healing, go right, then left up the short stairs.
Advance and go a bit right and use the healing Shrine. Otherwise turn left
first, go straight a bit, then turn left again and go down the wooden path.
You'll land on a plateau dead end, but there's a statue on the wall. Look at it
in Third Eye vision and purify it. This makes one of these annoying flying
ghosts appear, so kill it whatever way you prefer. Lag Pa for the easier kill
or Kila (and Compassion Ritual) if you want to regain some energy. (But don't
get hit - one hit will take away the same amount of energy you will gain.
Attack, move out of the way, attack, move etc.) Once defeated, it will leave a
small red buddha statue (Wrath of Ekajati), so pick that up. Hurry back and
onwards, pass the door you came through, go left up the short stairs and run
towards where the storm blows from.
After a shot 'cutscene', you'll have to fight two of the spiritual flying
ghosts. Profit from the Wrath (two Kila attacks are enough to kill a ghost).
Now run past the large door to the left and the stairs to the right. (Does this
area look familiar? It's the place in front of the temple of the monastery
Nyen-de-kyi-buk...). Go down the narrow but long stairs follow to the end of
the path.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Press A to Climb down.

'Cutscene'

Run straight ahead, towards the ghost-thing-person you see in the distance.
You'll notice that it's you in a mirror. When you get to the center of the
place full of columns, there's some gray mist (like the one closing off battle
areas). Approach it, then try to get away again.

'Cutscene'

What's this? That thing has six arms and seems to have a Kartrika...

////////// BOSS FIGHT \\\\\\\\\\

The first part takes place only within a small circle. During that phase, it's
not possible to hurt the creature. It will slowly come after you and try to
smash you with a punch. So keep avoiding it. The way to victory will be to make
(or let) it smash the red spiritual barrier. So stand at the border, let it
approach, then run away when it starts the attack. It will miss you and hit the
barrier instead. The boss will warp and reappear. Notice how the affected
barrier part glows much brighter? Do this (aka let the boss hit) for all
barrier parts (always go for the not so bright ones), then the entire barrier
will go away.
When the red spiritual barrier has disappeared, the whole place will be
accessible. Now also the boss' attacks change - the boss remains in the center
and fires spiritual shots forward in a spray pattern. Actually, the spray homes
in at the position you were when it was fired. So first thing is to move away
from it, then keep moving. There's sort of a square path around it, with the
corners slightly elevated. I found it easiest to run along this in one
direction, circling around the boss. Whenever you hear the sound of the
spiritual attack shots finish, stop, switch to Third Eye vision and shoot with
your Kila at the boss.
After 5 hits it will stop attacking. If you now look at it in Third Eye mode,
you'll see its weak spots in the form of red symbols. There are two on its
front side and one on its back. Aim at one and purify it. This will not only
remove one of the symbols but also refill a small amount of your health. The
boss will warp and reappear just again (get a quick shot in). You'll have to do
this (run from homing spray, shoot x5, then purify a symbol) three times, then
the pattern breaks...
In the last phase, the columns will be gone and the boss will come down from
its pedestral in the center. It will jump from corner to corner (of the square
'path' I suggested you run along just before). Once in a while it will shoot at
you with the same spiritual spray attack as before, but you can easily outrun
and dodge this. Stay anywhere except near the corners where the boss leaps onto
(the central square is fine) and keep firing at it until it gives in. Hitting
it when its mouth is open seems to stun it, so aim for that when you can (it'll
take about 9-12 Kila shots total).

In the center of the place an items appears. Pick it up, it's another weapon
for your axe, the Khorlo.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Go to Chomolonzo Base Camp <--

Go straight ahead, all along the path until you see some gate in front of you.

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Follow the ghost  <--

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go left to where the ghost had been standing - and follow the ghost upwards.
The path is very broad. In case you have trouble seeing her, use your Third Eye
vision. After the initial steep slope you'll find a healing Shrine. Pass it and
follow the rocky path. You'll be attacked by two flying ghosts in Ghost Korlo
style, so kill them quickly (I suggest the Lag Pa) or you lose health simply
for taking too long.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go back to the Shrine to heal if you need it. Else continue along the path.
After a turn there's an Expedition Note (Unhappy Clients) lying on the floor to
your right, so pick it up. The path, however, continues straight on, so follow
it (and the ghost) along the ridge of this mountain part. After a while you see
what looks like an old healing shrine in front of you. Just before you reach it
you're attacked by a normal walking ghost. Use the Kila or Khorlo (with
Compassion Ritual for health) to kill it, then go on.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Run past the shrine, then turn left and go back to it. It can't be used to
heal, but there's a Lhando Chronicle (The Bardo Opens) lying in front of it, so
pick it up. Turn back around and run towards the ghost, further along the path.

 -o- Autosave -o-

You'll reach a dead end, but you can Climb (A command) down on the left side.
After quite a long climb, turn left (when facing the wall) and follow the
path downwards.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Keep on the left side, and you'll reach some larger open place. Remember the
passage where you had to get the mantras? With the invisible spikes in the
ground? This is very similar, except you don't have to worry about scaring away
some ghost lamas; but you'll still lose health quite quickly when you touch the
spikes. Use your Third Eye to see where the buried spikes are and navigate
around them (the spikes remain visible for a few seconds when you switch back
to normal view). I'll try to give you an idea of the maze in ASCII:

                          ____________

            ŻŻ\..\ RR Start
               ŻHS

Your goal is to get to where the ghost is standing (XX on the above map). So
enter the maze, turn left the first occasion you get. Then at the next
intersection turn right. Next go left and right just again. Ignore the first
path going right and only take the second one going right. Follow it around the
rock. Continue straight after the rock, then take the left path when it splits.
A few steps on, turn right and walk the curve to where the ghost is. Once you
get there...

 -o- Autosave -o-

...there's an item lying beside a corpse: Mingma's Amulet. Pick it up.

'Cutscene'

You'll be attacked by three ghosts, a normal walking one and two flying ones:
quite a hairy situation, as you don't have much space to navigate within the
spikes. Equip the Lag Pa and try to get rid of them as quickly as possible, as
you'll also lose energy with time anyway (Ghost Korls style). It's not really
worth trying to go for a normal Compassion Ritual for some health.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Give Mingma's Amulet to Paul Ward <--

 -o- Autosave -o-

Notice that all hidden spikes are gone. So if you need it, go over to the
healing Shrine and ignite some incense sticks. To continue, go behind the rock
with Mingma's corpse and Climb up the wall.
You'll get an on-screen notice telling you to heed brittle parts in the wall.
In case you should fall, make a quick forward motion with your Wiimote, like
throwing out a fishing pole, to cling to the wall and stop falling. When you
approach such a brittle part, this is indiacated with a rumble of your Wiimote.
So stop climbing upwards but move sideways a bit, then try going up again to go
around the dangerous part. Once you reach the top...

 -o- Autosave -o-

...some very strong and cold gusts of wind will blow in your face (the outer
part of the screen will turn bright blue). They will also eat away your health
(and the Wiimote rumbles), so try standing in some shelter, e.g. behind some
rock. Wait behind a rock until the gust is over, then advance to the next
protected spot. Rinse and repeat. One more tip: running on rocky ground is
faster than running on snow, so do it whenever you can.
The first rock is to your right. Then there one in front to the left. The third
rock is further on, more to the left, sticking out of the wall. The next is way
over on the right side (run to it over rocky ground instead of snow).

'Cutscene'

Then there's again one on the left side. You'll already see a healing Shrine in
front of you. Run there in the next gust pause and use it if you want. Then
next are the two rocks to your right (when facing the Shrine). Head onward to
the left - there even the small rock offers protection. The next (small) rock
is again on the right side.

'Cutscene'

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Escape from the chasm <--

 -o- Autosave -o-

Run straight ahead. There's no use going uphill on the right side, it's a dead
end (you'd at least see some small wooden bridge above you). On the other side
of the basin there's a narrow passage through the mountain where you see even
less due to more mist and snow. Keep going until the passage gets a bit
broader.

 -o- Autosave -o-

When you come to a dead end, there are two corpses lying on the ground. Climb
up the wall next to them. Beware the brittle parts, as last time. The wall
isn't very high.

'Cutscene'

At the top you'll be attacked by two ghosts (Korlo style, so be quick): a
normal walking one and a 'climber ghost'. The latter can throw a spiritual rope
to you and thus tries to pull you to him. When he does, whack at it with your
axe. Otherwise, he's just like a normal ghost. Once they're gone, pick up the
Expedition Note (Heading Back Down) in the center between the three tents.
Look into the direction the wind is blowing from: you'll see a healing Shrine.
Run to it but don't use it. A bit further there's a small wooden bridge (you
had seen that from below). Cross it...

 -o- Autosave -o-

...to find a statue to your left. Go to Third Eye vision and purify it to get
one of Jomo Menmo's Prophecies (Jomo Menmo's Sixth Prophecy). This will also
grant you your sixth health increase and fill up your health completely! YAY!
Continue upwards against the wind.

'Cutscene'

Whoa, vulture!

////////// BOSS FIGHT \\\\\\\\\\

This one looks pretty much like the first vulture boss you fought. He can warp
around and he attacks when close to you. Don't let that happen, as it hurts
quite a bit. Equip the Kila, then shoot at the boss whenever you can. The usual
pattern is such that you can land two hits in a row, then the boss teleports
somewhere else. Run around a bit while he does so - and once you know where he
is, shoot him again.
Btw, see the small vulture statues around you? They're protected by a small
force field. After five hits the boss will rise up in the middle of the five
statues - and they will heal him. So you have to hit the boss five more times
to make him heal again - but this time you can move while he heals. The vulture
statues lose their protective force field while healing the boss, so quickly
purify all five statues (in Third Eye mode, of course).
Again, you'll have to fight the vulture, but now he's not able to regenerate
anmyore. After seven hits he'll show his weak point (a red symbol in Third Eye
view), so perform the Compassion Ritual on him to win this fight.

'Cutscene'

He'll leave behind an item. Pick it up, it's the Kila Empowerment of
Panjaranatha (Empowerment that transforms the Kila into a powerful tool for
nailing down spirits and demons).

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find your way out of the crevasse <--

Go the only way you can. Walk (A command) over the small ice ledge, then Climb
the short ice wall. Go towards the dark tunnel.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Quick time event: waggle your Wiimote and Nunchuck (as indicated on screen) as
fast as you can to escape the crumbling ice until you'll land in a larger cave.
Go towards the healing Shrine in front of you.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Pass it. There's a corpse lying in front of you. Go along the right ice wall
and you'll find a small tunnel. It's a dead end, but at the end there's a
Lhando Chronicle (Inner Fire Meditation) to be picked up. Likewise, there's a
tunnel in the ice wall to the left of the corpse. At its end is a statue.
Purify it to make a climber ghost appear. Three shots with your empowered Kila
will reveal its red symbol, then perform the compassion ritual on it (or simple
kill it with a fourth shot). This will make a small red buddha statue (Wrath of
Ekajati) appear. I'm not sure how this can help here (as in the next fight its
effect wasn't active anymore), but well... Now approach the corpse and pick up
what's there (Walkie-talkie).

'Cutscene'

You're attacked by three ghosts - and they're close. Add to that the Ghost
Korlo situation. So whip out the Lag Pa and get rid of at least the two normal
ghosts as quickly as you can. (One is appearing to your left, one to your right
and one a bit further away.) For the third one, a climber ghost, you can use
the Kila (and Compassion Ritual) to get back some lost energy, as catching it
with the Lag Pa is more tricky anyway.
There's not time to lose after the fight, it's still a Ghost Korlo situation,
meaning you lose health with time until you find and destroy the seals.
Remember the two ice caves you went to just before? At the end of each is a
symbol you have to purify. The good thing is that you don't actually have to go
very near. As soon as you can see it, switch to Third Eye vision, aim at the
symbol, press A and swing to break the seal. Do so for both and a third one
will appear on a large icicle in the center cavern. Break this seal as well.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Listen to Paul (nicely done voice through the Wiimote mike).

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Follow Paul's instructions  <--

If you need it, go heal at the Shrine, then run through the passage opened by
the broken icicle. There's a ghost appearing. Kill it, then continue ahead,
around the corner to the left. Outside, turn right. From now on, you're
supposed to follow Paul's instructions. Mind you, you'll be attacked attacked
a few times by single ghosts, so be ready to get rid of them. If you want, you
can explore the caves a bit yourself - it might be worth it... So already
ignore Paul's first command to go right. Instead go straight and take the
second tunnel entrance (ignoring one ghost that wanders almost only in the
ice...). Follow the way, kill the ghost on the way and keep going straight when
Paul tells you again to go right. He'll now tell you to go up ahead, there's
something worth seeing. Do so and you'll find a Statue of Aksobhya, the Buddha
of Wisdom. Purify it to get one of Jomo's Prophecies (Jomo Menmo's Seventh
Prophecy). This gives you your seventh health increase and fills up your health
meter completely! YAY!
Head back and now do what Paul tells you to. Turn left, then go left again.
Follow the path down, then Climb down the ice wall.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Continue along the way. You'll quickly be attacked by a climber ghost, so get
rid of it. Keep going... falling...

The path you restart on is blocked in one direction, so follow it in the other
direction (ice wall to your right, crack to your left). And you're in narrow
caves again... Keep going until you see something lying in front of you.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Take it, it's an Expedition Note (Crawling Through the Crevasse). When you
continue a bit, you're again attacked by three ghosts. Two of them are normal
ones, the third is a new kind, it moves very quickly and can also attach to you
with a spiritual rope. Get rid of the easy ones first (Kila, Korlo or Lag Pa),
then kill the third one. If you have trouble hitting it, try either using the
Korlo with its spreadshot or wait until it stops and tries to throw its rope.
That's the moment to land a good Kila hit. Go on after they're gone.

 -o- Autosave -o-

If you need healing, go into the tunnel a bit to the right (when facing
'outside', the open area). There's a healing Shrine down at the dead end. Then
go to the open area and Climb down (on the left side). Follow the short path
and Climb up then next ice wall. At the top, follow the way.

 -o- Autosave -o-

After a while though the ice tunnel you'll come close to the exit; but not
before attacked by three ghosts again. This time it's one normal one and two of
the fast lasso ghosts. I found it most convenient to use the Korlo, as that way
more then one ghost was hit by some shots. After you killed them, go on and
you'll see sunlight again.

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Find Paul  <--

Base camp, finally. Go straight a bit to get to the entrance. To your left you
can see a buddha statue - purify it to get one of Jomo's Prophecies (Jomo
Menmo's Eight Prophecy). This will give you your eighth health increase! YAY!
A bit right of the statue there are two pots, one of them contains some incense
sticks (it's been a while since we last found some). To the right of the entry
to the camp is a healing Shrine (in front of shed 08). Enter the building to
its left (yellow roof). Take a note of Frank's Diary (Paul and Mingma) from a
shelf on the right side. The pots on the left contain some incense sticks. Keep
going straight, then pick up the Expedition Note (Climbers on the Mountain)
from the table. The door to the right is locked, so keep going straight. Before
you can go anywhere, you'll be attacked by a single climber ghost, so get rid
of it.
The next shed is some old medical station. When you approach the left door
(maybe also the right one, I'm not sure), you'll be attacked by a lasso ghost.
When you kill it, a key appears in front of the corpse in a corner. Pick it up,
it's a Shiny Key. Both doors here are power doors - and you first need to turn
on the generator. Before going back, smash the pot beside the left door and
take the incense sticks.
Go back the way you came.

     Journal entry / objective:
-->  Activate the generator  <--

In the shed where you had picked up the Expedition Note before go left. With
the Shiny Key you can now open the door there and go in.

 -o- Autosave -o-

It's some sort of kitchen. Pick up the Expedition Note (Troubles in Base Camp)
in the corner to your right. Then go left, into a storage room. The pot just to
the left holds some incense sticks. In the further left corner is another
Expedition Note (Shopping List). Go back into the kitchen, then go through the
door on the opposite side; it takes you outside.

'Cutscene'

You're outside, and in some Korlo environment, meaning you lose health with
time. So hurry. Go forward, then turn left: 2 ghosts will attack, a normal one
and a climber ghost. Run a bit to your left to get some distance, then kill
them. Continue onward (which means away from where you came outside), then turn
left around the next container. Straight a bit and you're attacked by a lasso
ghost. Kill it, then turn left. You can open the door of the second larger
hemicylindrical (=round roof) building. Go in.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Finally, the Korlo thing is over. Go right, into the next hall. The pots in
front to the right hold some incense sticks. Then turn left and Use (A command)
the generator in the corner. (The other door is locked.)

'Cutscene'

Two lasso ghosts are attacking. so turn around and kill them. Maybe use the Lag
Pa for the first, then the Kila for the second one (with Compassion Ritual for
some health). Go out through the now open door (the light above it is green),
turn left and go around the next metal shed left.

 -o- Autosave -o-

There's a large square open space in front of you. On the far left side there's
a healing Shrine. To your right there's a door leading into the building to the
right (Paul tells you to go in there). Even further, to the right of the
Shrine, there's another door, but don't go there yet.
So enter the door to the right. Ignite the incense pots standing in the room
(one directly to the left of the door, one on the right wall and one on the
left corner) - this will reveal a ghost. Kill it.

'Cutscene'

Get back out and go into the next building to your right (through the door
right of the healing Shrine). Turn left and open the door there. It leads to a
small room with two pots. When you smash them (the contain some incense
sticks), a lasso ghost attacks. Quickly run out, back into the larger room and
kill it. Now continue through the next door, through the short corridor.
Another door will now lead you to the medical room you've been to once before.
Go through it and open the door on the opposite side. Cross this room also and
go outside.
Go forward a few meters, then turn right and follow the path.

 -o- Autosave -o-

A bit further:

'Cutscene'

Inside the building you'll have to fight a stream of seven lasso ghosts! At
least there are never more than 3 at a time fighting you, but you've still got
to be careful. Using the Lag Pa is difficult against these ghosts, so I
recommend either the Kila or the Khorlo. I, personally, used the Khorlo, as it
allowed me to hit more than one ghost at a time, which gives some room.
Whenever a ghost gets too near, run into an empty corner to get a better
position and start firing (and Compassion Ritualing) again. After the intense
fight, go into the room to the left of the big door you came in through. Around
some crates there's an Expedition Note (Power Down) lying on a table. Pick it
up, then go back out outside (through the large door you came in).

 -o- Autosave -o-

If you need it, go forward and heal at the healing Shrine further down the
road. If you go around that and the small crate-like thing, you'll be attacked
by a climber ghost coming out of what's actually a toilet. Kill it.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go further behind the Shrine towards the many yellow tents. In their middle
you'll be attacked by two ghosts, a climber ghost and a lasso ghost. Kill them.
There's one tent open, so go in and pick up the Expedition Note (Rescue by
Helicopter) in the corner.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Recover high-altitude equipment at the crash site <--

Go back past the Shrine towards the large door (where the 7 ghosts fight took
place) and turn left. Enter the square shed. Listen to the walkie-talkie, then
pick up the Expedition Note (Eric Simmons to the Rescue) in front of you.
There's nothing useful in the room to your left yet (the rear door is locked),
but there's a note of Frank's Diary (Other climbers are wimps) on a shelf in
the room to your right. Pick it up, then go further to the back wall and press
the button there (Use, A command). Head back and kill the lasso ghost on the
way. The button you pressed before is a timed opening mechanism for the locked
door I mentioned before. Best go press the button again, then run through all
three rooms, out the now open door. If you want, turn right and run around the
building you came out of: you'll find a statue in the back (maybe come back
here later for it, to make better use, I'm not sure). Purify it and kill the
lasso ghost that's appearing. After killing it, a small red buddha statue
(Wrath of Ekajati) will appear. I'm not actually sure if it can really help
with something now, but pick it up anyway or leave it for later, then run back
towards the door you came out of. However, don't go in but take the path to the
right towards two pots.
In front of them the path splits. For an Expedition Note, first go to the pots,
smash them and follow the way up to the weather station (otherwise go down
directly). If you need healing, there's a healing Shrine to the left of the
building at the top, the weather station. Open the door and go in. Pick up the
Expedition Note (Weather Report: Dangerous Blizzard Coming) lying in front of
you on a table.
Go back outside: Ghost Korlo time. Quickly run down the narrow path you came
from earlier. You'll be attacked by two climber ghosts. Once they're gone, also
the Korlo is over, so continue down. At the intersection, go right, further
down towards the helicopter crash site. (If you waited before, go straight back
first and go get the Wrath of Ekajati I had described before, and then go down
to the crash site. It may help a bit soon.)

'Cutscene'

Take a few steps.

 -o- Autosave -o-

It's the crash site. Go to the helicopter. There's a box to its right with an
item. Pick it up, it's the High Altitude Climbing Equipment. You'll be attacked
by 3 ghosts, 2 climber ghosts and a lasso ghost. I again suggest using the
Khorlo until you have at least defeated two, then maybe the Kila for the last
one. Use the Lag Pa only if you're comfortable and good enough with it (still,
I advise against using it).

'Cutscene'

Oh, interesting... (and your Amulet is gone now)

////////// BOSS FIGHT \\\\\\\\\\

This boss has a repeating pattern. He stands in one place for about 2 seconds,
then he teleports somewhere near to you, walks slowly towards you and attacks
with some sort of punch/smash. Then he teleports away again, stands still for
2 seconds, teleports to you to attack... and so forth. That means you should
shoot him with your Kila when he stands still, then keep running until his
attack is over. Look for him and hit him again when he's still, run again when
he attacks.
Afther three hits he will summon two ghosts, a lasso ghost and a climber ghost,
to help him. Get rid of them first. Keep moving a lot to dodge both the ghosts
and the boss (who will attack less during this phase).
After five more attacks on the boss (I had landed two while other ghosts were
still here and three aftwards), he'll prepare some lightning attack. The game
will tell you to move when he does so. Keep running around and shooting him -
and make sure you run away as soon as you see him prepare some blue lightning.
He'll only take about five more Kila hits, then you can perform the Compassion
Ritual on him. Poof!

He'll leave behind an item, so pick it up. It's the Khorlo Empowerment of
Yamantaka (Empowerment that transforms the Khorlo into a true tool for
subjugating and destroying evil spirits) - great!

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Find an oxygen bottle <--

Run to your left. You'll get an in-game notice about the new oxygen gauge
indicator: The pressure gauge shows oxygen pressure. If you find new bottles,
pressure gets higher. If the pressure drops to zero, you will slowly die of
hypoxia. Oxygen drops faster if you jog.
Keep going with ahead (with the wind, not against it). You'll go past three
rocks with mani-stones until you find an empty tent. Behind it is an Oxygen
Bottle lying on the floor. Pick it up to refill your O2!

'Cutscene'

A climber ghost attacks, so kill it quickly.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Proceed to high camp <--

Walk on along the way. You'll find an Expedition Note (Time is Running Out)
lying on the floor to the right. Pick it up and go on. Turn right where you
have to - and a ghost attacks. Waggle your Wiimote and Nunchuck to shake it
off, then get rid of it however you like (Lag Pa is the quickest way). Continue
upwards. You may have to run at some occasions because of the strong winds, but
do so sparingly. When you reach the top, there's a healing Shrine, but it
doesn't help you with oxygen.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Go past it and turn right, around the Shrine and back, up to where you can see
a pot.

'Cutscene'

You have to fight three ghosts here, a normal one, a lasso one and a climber
ghost. Use the Lag Pa for the normal one, then kill the two others with the
Kila. There are two tents nearby. Go there and pick up both an Expedition Note
(Returning to BC, a climber's illegible scrawl) and the Oxygen Bottle!
Go back a bit from where you came: there's a ladder connecting your side with
the other side of the gap. Try to Walk (A command) over it.

'Cutscene'

 -o- Autosave -o-

Ok, now Walk. Hold the balance with your Wiimote (point at the screen and
rotate along the Wiimote axis the whatever direction it's needed) and advance
by shaking the tip up and down a bit (it's the downwards motion that makes you
advance). On the other side there's a healing Shrine waiting for you. But first
turn right and smash the two pots there: they contain an Oxygen Bottle! Pick it
up, then go heal if you need it at the Shrine. To its left is another ladder,
so climb that up and make some steps in any direction.

'Cutscene'

Inside a ring or mani-stones, some flying ghost summons three other ghosts (two
normal ones and a climber ghost) - and they attack in a big Ghost Korlo. Dodge
the ghosts for now and break the symbols on the stones around you first. There
are three of them at the moment. Then go for some ghosts (the Khorlo is again
very helpful as it can hit mulitple ghosts at once, but also the Lag Pa can
help you get rid of at least the normal ghosts quickly). For each of the three
ghosts you kill, another symbol on one of the remaining stones appears. Break
those again as soon as possible. The ghosts will keep coming, but as soon as
you break the sixth symbol, the Korlo is over and you're free again.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Walk upwards. There's a split path in front of the ice wall. One way goes up
left, the other along the wall right. If you want another (useless) small red
buddha statue, go right. After a while you come to a dead end - the way is
blocked by snow boulders, and even the two pots don't contain anything.
However, there's a small dark statue in the right corner. Go into Third Eye
view and purify it. Kill the lasso ghost that appears and it'll leave a small
red buddha statue (Wrath of Ekajati). Pick it up, then head back to the split
path and now follow it upwards. Walk directly to where the wind blows from and
you'll find some more tents. Pick up the note from Frank's Diary (Mingma backs
out) and the Oxygen Bottle!
Look up the mountain. There's a ladder a bit back for you to climb. On top,
there's a healing Shrine, so use it if you need to. Now continue up left,
straight into the wind. A bit further up, a climber ghost attacks, so kill it,
then head on. There's another ladder to your right. Climb it up and take a few
more steps. Ugh, a wall, so climb up here, too. Remember to avoid the brittle
parts.
Once on top, walk over to where three pots are standing.

 -o- Autosave -o-

One of them holds an Oxygen Bottle! Pick it up, then continue to the left (the
wind blows now from the left side). There's another Ghost Korlo attack, two
lasso ghosts and one normal one. Kill them and go on. Ahead is another ladder,
so climb it.

'Cutscene'

On top there's a healing Shrine in case you need it. Walk on straight, towards
the white spot you can see a bit away. When near the wall, turn around and
you'll see a corpse with another Oxygen Bottle, right after the stone!
( * Thanks to Letande for the tip * )
Now climb up the wall where the draft is coming down - remember to slow down to
avoid brittle patches. Keep going upwards the very steep path. You may have to
run once due to the strong wind. Continue on the rocky part, past some flags,
and up more steeply again.

 -o- Autosave -o-

There are another two rocky walls to climb, so do that... On top there's again
a healing Shrine, should you need it. Go past it...

 -o- Autosave -o-

...and continue on the way. Ignore the wall you can climb to your right for
now. After a while, a climber ghost attacks on a narrow path, so kill it, then
go on. The pot in front of you contains another Oxygen Bottle! Pick it up and
go back towards the Shrine. Before you reach it, climb up the wall you ignored
before. At the top, follow the path circling upwards. You'll soon be attacked
by a single climber ghost. Get rid of it and continue. Yet another wall to be
climbed. Do so and go on to the left first.

 -o- Autosave -o-

You'll soon find an Oxygen Bottle on the ground in front of a small rock! Pick
it up, but don't turn around yet. Keep going all the way, around a large rock.
In that dead end, smash the pot for yet another Oxygen Bottle! Now it's time to
turn around and follow the path upwards, against the wind. There's a corpse on
the way with yet another Oxygen Bottle! Take it, then head on upwards.

'Cutscene'

You're attacked by two ghosts, a normal one and a climber ghost. Get rid of
them and keep going. Don't go up yet where the two ghosts just came from (turn
left behind a single rock), but keep going straight. Eventually you'll reach a
dead end with the last Statue of Aksobhya. Purify it to get the last of Jomo's
Prophecies (Jomo Menmo's Ninth Prophecy). Pick it up to get your ninth and last
health increase! YAY!
Time to head back. This time, go up where the path splits (behind the rock
where the two ghosts had come from before), to the right. You'll see three pots
to your left. One of them contains one more Oxygen Bottle! Further up, the path
makes a right turn, after which a lasso ghost attacks. Kill it and walk on.
Around the next turn, two more pots hold another Oxygen Bottle! Take it and go
on.

'Cutscene'

Another Ghost Korlo! There are different ghosts attacking - a flying one, a
normal one and a climber ghost. Best ignore them altogether and go for the
Korlo seals. Run a few steps forward and purify-break the one on the mani-stone
in front of you. Then quickly turn around and run back down. There are two more
mani-stones with a symbol each. Once you have purified all three, the Korlo is
over and the ghosts disappear. Phew.

 -o- Autosave -o-

A few steps on, climb up the next rock wall.

'Cutscene'

On top, go up on the left side. If you go into the cavern after some reflecting
ice, there's another short 'cutscene'. Now go on, upwards (left when facing the
mountain). After a while, there's another rocky wall to climb up. On the top
you'll see a healing Shrine a bit away. Before you reach it, a climber ghost
attacks. Best run up to the Shrine and turn around to have a better view on the
ghost, then kill it. If you need it, ignite some incense sticks at the Shrine
to heal, then pick up the note from Frank's Diary (Heading for the summit)
lying on its right on the floor.
To the left of the Shrine is another wall you need to climb. When you reach its
top end, you can already see the summit. Go on a few steps.

'Cutscene'

And some more.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Walk towards high camp on the ridge. You'll find an Expedition Note (Slow
Death) on the floor, beside a corpse. Climb down from near where the corpse
lies (you'll see the command pop up when you're on the edge). Follow the path
below, Walk (A command) over the narrow ledge, then climb up again.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Pick up the Expedition Note (Group of Four Becomes Three) lying in front of
you. Also smash the pot left of the corpses for another Oxygen Bottle! Now head
left (from where you came up). When you see another pot, three climber ghosts
will attack (beware, two are behind you at the beginning). Kill them whatever
way you prefer (I used the Kila and Compassion Rituals to get some health
back). Go past the pot and turn right where you can. Up the short slope is a
healing Shrine. Use it if you need to, then go on upwards (left when facing the
Shrine).

'Cutscene'

Walk over to the long ice wall and climb up. At the top go towards the tents.

 -o- Autosave -o-

This is high camp. There's an Oxygen Bottle beside the upper right blue tent!
A bit further up, there's a healing Shrine, use it if you need it. The pots to
its right hold yet another Oxygen Bottle! Take them both, then try to go away
from the camp.

'Cutscene'

It's fighting time! Before describing the battle, remember to keep moving a
lot, especially when the enemies are spread or close to you. And also, try
getting some Compassion Rituals in if you get hurt, to get some health back.
First, three ghosts attack: two climber ghosts and one lasso ghost. After these
are gone, a second wave with a normal one and two climber ghosts attack. Kill
them too, only to have a third wave attack. This time it's a normal ghost, a
climber ghost and a lasso ghost. When you kill one of these, they'll get
insta-replaced by another set of two climber ghosts and one lasso ghost.

'Cutscene'

So now the boss ghost swoops down and he has some reinforcements, too. It's a
flying ghost (who can shoot spirital shots) plus two climber ghosts in total.
Unfortunately, directly getting rid of the flying one using the Lag Pa doesn't
seem to work, so go for the climber ghosts first. Keep moving around while
getting either Kila or Khorlo shots in on them until you can use the Compassion
Ritual on them. Once the climber ghosts are gone, treat the flying one like any
other flying ghost (shoot him, step sideways, look for him again etc.).
( * Apparently, the boss ghost can be killed using the Lag Pa, according to an
    e-mail I got from op89x - thanks. No idea why it didn't work for me. * )
Upon defeating the last one, you'll pick up a piece of paper: Tantric Breathing.

'Cutscene'

Keep going and Jump (A command) over the gap. Go to where 'he' was standing. A
bit to the left you can Climb down, then you have to Walk (A command) over a
narrow ledge. Next is another wall to Climb up. Do so.

 -o- Autosave -o-

Follow 'him'. Soon, another lasso ghost will attack. Kill it (Kila and
Compassion Ritual give some health if you need it), then head on. You'll get
into an very dense snow storm where you can't actually see anything. First run
straight. When you can't seem to go on anymore, turn around and try running
left up (or right, if you consider the direction you came from). You'll reach
some kind of top plateau, but you still can't see anything. Keep going - I
honestly can't give you any directions, just keep trying if you get anywhere.

=== Actually, if you switch to Third Eye vision, look around and you can see a
red line. Follow it - and check from time to time using the Third Eye...
(Thanks to slyjak and Moley for the tip!) ===

I, myself, got to some place where you could see something (the summit and some
two darker rocks in the snow). I then ran towards them...

...until you can see an item in front of you: it's Frank's rucksack.

'Cutscene'

You pick up the Terma. Right in front of you there's also a note from Frank's
Diary (The weather turns). Pick it up, then go straight ahead.

'Cutscene'

One more step.

 -o- Autsoave -o-

You have to balance/Walk (A command) over some ice that takes you over a gap,
then run straight on.

'Cutscene'

Climb up the short rocky wall in front of you, then (short 'cutscene') go on
towards a healing Shrine.

 -o- Autosave -o-

A few steps on you'll be attacked.

     Journal entry / objective:
--> Banish the demon from the summit <--

There's a normal ghost and a flying one. Kill then, and a climber ghost will
follow. After that, another two ghosts will attack: a normal one and another
flying one. Get rid of them and you're finally free to go up to the healing
Shrine. Use it if you need health (no need to hoard those incense sticks now),
then continue upwards (left of the Shrine). Climb up to the very summit.
Approach 'him'.

'Cutscene'

////////// BOSS FIGHT \\\\\\\\\\

Yeah, boss time! If you want, you can first run to your left and pick up the
last note from Frank's Diary (Opening the terma). If you do, read it before the
fight is over...

The boss will fly, circling around you. Once in a while he'll start a cold wind
attack. You have to dodge it by keeping behind one of the three rocks. (The
game will actually give you a hint when it happens the first time.) His second
attack is done by swooping down towards you. You can recognize this when he
somehow turns and compacts slightly, just before he comes towards you. Dodge it
by running sideways. Remain near a rock and keep shooting at him with your Kila
whenever you can. After about ten to twelve hits, this phase is over.

'Cutscene'

Second phase, he's not directly vulnerable now and has different attacks. He
remains in the center and conjures blue lightning streaks that converge on the
spot you are/were standing when he started conjuring, so run away when he does
this. You lose health with time anyway during this phase, so you should try to
finish it quickly. If you go (or better: run by) somewhat closer, he'll try
hitting you with one of his claws. However, when he does, it'll get stuck in
the ground. If you go too close, within range of his blueish mist, this will
also hurt badly.
So make him perform his claw attack (missing you if you keep running), then run
around and behind him, switch to Third Eye vision and purify one of the three
seals at his back. Repeat this twice (luring him into claw attack, run around
and purify symbol) until all seals are gone. There's another positive side
effect of purifying a seal: this gives some health back.

He's now vulnerable, but also attacks a bit more violently (I'm not sure about
this, it seemed to me that he was a bit faster). His pattern pretty much stays
the same, but now he moves around and comes slightly after you when he does his
claw attack. The good thing is that you won't lose health anymore over time.
Keep some distance to him, dodge the ligthning attack and fire away with your
Kila. After 12 hits, he'll lie down. Quickly run over to the item that has
appeared on the ground, but make sure you don't touch the lying boss, it'll
still hurt. If you're too slow, the boss will get up again, but two or three
more shots will put him down again. Then pick up the item (the command says
Open).

!!! Congrats !!!
You beat the game and can enjoy the ending.
Guess it'll make you think a bit.

 _- Frank's Axe Has Mystical Powers -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The ghosts came so quickly! Bennett prepared Frank's ice axe with special
_ mantras to help him ascend to the upper reaches fo Chomolonzo. He told me to
_ take it to Frank at base camp, but ghosts surrounded me and blocked the way.
_ They flooded the city and forced me to run. The axe helped me make it this
_ far, but my luck has run out. Frank must also be doomed. I fear he has
_ angered the Goddess, and there is no escaping the wrath of Palden Lhamo.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Plea To Palden Lhamo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Oh great Palden Lhamo, protector of Buddhism and Goddess of Chomolonzo! I
_ beseech you. Make the shadows go away! They wander the streets. Make them go
_ away! they descend from Chomolonzo carrying the cold chill of death. Make
_ them go away! They fill our valley with sorrow and pain. Make them go away!
_ Oh great Palden Lhamo, protector of Buddhism and Goddess of Chomolonzo, have
_ mercy and hear my cries!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Ghost Rumors -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Business was great until the ghost rumors started. People said they saw...
_ things. Then I saw one! At first it was just a dark spot in the shadows. Not
_ really doing anything - just waiting. Then more came, and day by day it grew
_ worse. When the attacks started, people fled the city. Now I must abandon my
_ goods and leave before it's too late. What a terrible mess!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Sad Goodbye to Chomolonzo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I'm not sure if I will ever see this beautiful city again. I've always lived
_ here. I can't imagine how it will feel to live in another place, nevermore
_ to gaze upon the snow-covered face of Chomolonzo. Will the Goddess still
_ watch over me? She was always a kind protector, but now she is raging. Oh
_ yes! I have to leave, and my heart is crying already. The darkness is
_ driving me out of the valley. No one can live here anymore. Goodbye
 _ Chomolonzo!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Hungry Ghosts -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Pretas and Yidags are the hungry ghosts. They are invisible and can only be
_ seen in certain states of mind. They are poor creatures with a terrible
_ hunger that can never be satisfied. They hate all living creatures and try
_ to suck out our energy to feed their hunger.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- The Curse Brings Death -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Ever since the Westerner went up to the Sacred One, the days have been
_ filled with darkness. A curse has blighted our valley. In the village,
_ people started to see ghosts, and soon afterwards the deaths began. Such
_ terrible pain! Such cries of agony! We cannot run away. There is nowhere we
_ can hide. The ghosts enter even the most protected houses! Our mantras are
_ too weak. All we can do is wait, pray, and die.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Immured Anchorite -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I was immured in thes cave over thirty years ago. It is my path to
_ enlightenment. The nearby charnel ground makes it an ideal place to practice
_ the Chod. The hungry ghosts visit me and I feed them my life-force. But
_ something must have happened. Suddenly there are so many. Even the walls are
_ alive with ghosts. I pray for them.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Monks Spread The Warning -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I have sent our monks to Cherku, to Lhando and through the rest of the
_ valley to tell the people to flee. They cannot stay in their homes to fight
_ the ghosts, and our hope is to protect them long enough for them to run
_ away. Only the elders stay here in the monastery, working on a way to defeat
_ the curse. There must be a way.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Fleeing Novices -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ All the heavy lifting, the cleaning, the cooking - it is mine alone now. The
_ novices have all fled. When the curse first reached our monastery, the
_ elders were able to keep the ghosts at bay. But soon it became impossible to
_ protect everyone and people started to disappear. Rumors spread like
_ wildfire and the young ones ran away, down to Lhando and maybe even out of
_ the valley. I hope they are safe now. I will remain behind to fight the
 _ curse.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Prayer to Amitayus -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Oh Amitayus! Oh Buddha of infinite life! Our valley, once a peaceful place
_ to live, filled with life and song, is now a dark and dangerous place. Evil
_ spirits and demons roam the valley like a realm of the Narakas. Oh Amitayus!
_ Oh Buddha of infinite life! Please lift the curse that has befallen our
_ homes! Take away the pain and free us from the suffering!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- 108 Koras -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I came to Nyen-de-kyi-buk Monastery to begin my lifetime's ambition of
_ completing the 108 koras that are guaranteed to bring Nirvana at the time of
_ my death. Each circling of the holy mountain will bring me closer to the
_ realization of emptiness. But now I am stuck in this monastery. Something
_ terrible happened that makes it impossible to go outside these walls. I hope
_ the lamas can protect me and lift the curse!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Protecting the Main Shrine -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ It is my responsibility to protect the main shrine, the altar and the
_ chanting hall from evil. When the curse descended upon us, I decided not to
_ leave the chanting hall anymore. It must be protected no matter what. I
_ recite mantras and perform the sacred rituals. I put up new mandala
_ offerings and visualize all the protectors - the dhamapalas - named Nagpo
_ Chenpo, Shinje Shed, Tamdrin, Kubera, Palden Lhamo, Changpa and Begtse.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Beating the Gong -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Now I'm the last one alive. All the others ran away or were pulled into the
_ Bardo to become ghosts. I heard the shrine keeper reciting his mantras
_ during the night, but at dawn there was a terrible scream and the mantras
_ stopped, replaced instead by strange whispers. I must stay focused and clear
_ my mind. I recite the mantras and beat my gong. Its sound purifies the air
_ and keeps the evil spirits at bay.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- A Heartfelt Plea -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Your Holiness, our situation is desperate! Since the darkness came, people
_ go missing every day. We can't go up to the fields to do our work. We can't
_ go down to Lhando to trade our goods. Thanks to Jomo Menmo, most of us are
_ still alive - even the ghosts seem to fear her. But she is weakening
_ day-by-day, and now the ghosts appear right in the middle of our village!
_ Please help! Please protect the faithful of Cherku!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Monastery Reconstruction -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The work was going well until a strange darkness suddenly swept over the
_ valley. It came from Chomolonzo - someone must have disturbed the Goddess!
_ Since then we have purified the walls and all our materials, but it didn't
_ help. Strange accidents happened. People vanished. Workers started to run
_ away, horrified by the things they saw. The abbot tried to maintain calm,
_ but the fear was too much for them. Now I'm the only one left.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Hiding Beneath Stairs -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The chanting halls are deserted. The prayers have faded. Life seems gone
_ from the monastery. Where is everyone? The terrible curse did not stop
_ outside our holy walls. It came inside and drowned all our laughter and
_ happiness. Now I'm hiding beneath the stairs, praying that the shadows don't
_ find me. I constantly repeat the protective mantras, hoping the lamas find
_ me before the ghosts do. I cannot stand this much longer.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Chomolonzo Has Changed -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The mountain, the Sacred One, Great Chomolonzo, is acting strange. She has
_ always been so kind, so protective of the valley and our monastery. But
_ since this Bennett has arrived, she has changed. He pollutes her with young
_ men who care only for worldly glory, regardless of what is forbidden. He has
_ tampered with sacred rituals that should be reserved for the initiated. Now
_ pain and darkness descend from her brow. Now it is wise to fear the Goddess.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Khenpo Jigme Lingpa's Trance -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Abbot Khenpo Jigme Lingpa has sunk into deep meditation. I bring him
_ butter-tea and rice, but at the end of the day it remains untouched. He is a
_ very holy man and a great Tulku. The daily rituals and chants in the hall
_ have ceased. Nobody dares to interrupt him. I think he tries to find a way
_ to rescue the valley and stop the people's suffering. He is the wisest of us
_ all - if he finds no answer, then surely there is no answer to be found.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- The Bardo Opens -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The path over the Jang Rang La becomes more difficult each day. Evil spirits
_ haunt the pass. The chortens and mani-stones no longer protect us. Where do
_ these ghosts come from? It feels as if the Bardo has opened up and is
_ spitting out ghosts and demons.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Inner Fire Meditation -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Like Milarepa, the great yogi of the ice cavern, I have taken retreat in
_ this frozen grotto. I practice the art of the inner fire meditation -
_ allowing me to survive the cold and pursue the path of dharma at the same
_ time. The white emptiness of the snow-covered peaks are the perfect
_ visualization of Nirvana, therefore the retreat in these eternally peaceful
_ mountains is a most blissful one.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Cursed Expedition -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ We Sherpas were worried about Bennett's exedition from the start. He did not
_ approach the mountain, our Goddess, with respect. Everything was too rushed,
_ too forced. The omens turned against us quickly. Ropes broke. Supplies
_ vanished. After Frank began his climb, mysterious phantoms began to appear
_ in base camp, and then the ghosts came here to Lhando. Bennett has brought
 _ doom upon us all.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- A Climber Arrives in Lhando -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ A new climber arrived in Lhando yesterday. I'ver never seen Bennett so
_ nervous and excited. This Frank Simmons - is he really going to climb the
_ holy summit of Chomolonzo? How could His Holiness Khenpo Jigme Lingpa allow
_ this? The Westerner looks so careless, so bold. He shows no sign of respect
_ for the Goddess and her dancing place. I don't think he has done a single
_ kora. This can't go well.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Foreign Devils Disturbed Chomolonzo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ We must abandon our jobs and get away as soon as we can! Something dark is
_ coming down from Chomolonzo. These Westerners with their expedition - they
_ must have angered the Goddess, disturbed her eternally peaceful dancing
_ place. She has cursed the valley and sent dark spirits to plague the streets
_ of Lhando. They seem so restless, so hungry. We have to leave. This is no
_ longer a place for the living.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Unhappy Clients -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I had to get away from base camp. Everyone there is going crazy. Some say
_ they are seeing ghosts. Others disappear at night and never come back. Only
_ two climbers have actually received permission to continue up. The rest of
_ us are being ignored, even though we're paying customers. Rumours are
_ everywhere. Bennett hasn't shown up for a week. Enough is enough. I'm going
_ down to Lhando to find Bennett and sort him out. This nonsense has got to
 _ stop.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Heading Back Down -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ We had to do something. Bennett left base camp a week ago. Everyone had
_ started going crazy, and then it grew worse. The weather turned bad. Going
_ up was impossible. Simon and I started down, but the blizzard forced us to
_ take shelter. We put up tents and then these... ghosts... came out of the
_ snow. Simon chased after them with my ice axe. He disappeared into the
_ storm. I wish he'd come back. I wish I had my axe.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Crawling Through the Crevasse -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Hell - a long, long drop into the dark. I was surprised to wake up, suprised
_ to be alive. My legs were broken, so I started to crawl. I knew it was
_ hopeless, but I wasn't going to just lie there and die. So I moved. Slowly,
_ painfully, pulling myself through the darkness, through the ice of the
_ endless crevasse. Water's gone now. Food, too. I'll rest here for a minute
_ to get my strength back. Strange voices call me in the dark. I want to
 _ sleep.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Climbers on the Mountain -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Schraml S., missing, last seen on Yellow Rock
_ Hager G., found dead on SW ridge
_ Mayr T., missing, last seen going up on SW ridge
_ Gazzari M., missing, after radio contact in high camp
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Troubles in Base Camp -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Since Paul returned without Frank, everything is different. He's very upset,
_ but he won't say why. As for the others, there's fear everywhere. Climbers
_ are going missing. Some have been found dead - and not from altitude
_ sickness either. Others have simply disappeared. The weather keeps us locked
_ in the camp. I'm afraid to stay, but I'm also afraid to leave. I was really
_ stupid to come on this trip. It's a nightmare, not an adventure. Never
 _ again!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Shopping List -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
 _ Butter
 _ Wheat
 _ Pikerman's Hot Sauce
 _ Cooking oil
 _ Potatoes
 _ Coffee
 _ Dried chili
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Power Down -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ They came from everywhere! And so suddenly! I think they are stirred by the
_ noise we make. The generator runs so loud! It disturbs their spheres, so
_ they emerge from their own dimension and hunt us down in ours. I had to do
_ something - everyone else in camp was just talking! So I snuck over to the
_ generator and I shut it off! With it being silent, the onslaught will stop.
_ It must stop! It all has got to stop - Right NOW!!!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Rescue by Helicopter -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I hear a helicopter! At last we'll get out of this accursed camp. Just in
_ time, too! Climbers are going missing. Climbers are also dying. I haven't
_ left the tent in two days for fear of what might happen. Soon I will return
_ to France and my beloved Simone. I don't think I'll ever do this again.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Eric Simmons to the Rescue -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Radio transmission transcript: Bennett here. Eric Simmons has met with the
_ abbot of Dege Gonchen monastery and is now climbing towards base camp. Be
_ prepared to help him with high altitude equipment so he can go higher and
_ rescue Frank. This is Bennett, over and out.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Weather Report: Dangerous Blizzard Coming -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Instruments show a dangerous storm approaching fast. Frank and Paul are
_ still on the mountain. They need to descend immediately. I've tried to warn
_ them, but they are not responding. I'll wait for the next agreed
 _ transmission window at 2pm.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Time is Running Out -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The schedule has become impossible! We can't get the equipment up the
_ mountain in time. Bennett doesn't understand - the conditions are just too
_ difficult. The weather slowed us down from the start, and now we can't get
_ the O2 bottles up to the camps and fix the lines in place before Frank and
_ Paul are scheduled to make their climb.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Returning to BC -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Too hard... No breath left... I can't... Must rest... Shouldn't rest...
 _ God help me...
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Slow Death -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Everything goes dark. Then light again. I fell behind. Each step too heavy.
_ Too much pain. Hope the others made it to high camp. Have one on me, lads.
_ O2 is low. Maybe gone. O2 is low. Can't tell. Can't get glove back on.
_ Should check O2. Brain is slow. Not so bad now.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Group of Four Becomes Three -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Three of us left. We lost Simon on the ridge. Had to climb around a
_ difficult part - that's where he must have gone down. He was slow, always
_ behind us. Now only three are left. O2 getting long. We can't go back for
_ Simon. Harsh, but true. We need to reach high camp and get new bottles. Then

 _ all imagination.

 _- Chomolonzo's Hidden Treasure -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I have studied old scriptures, read hundreds of ancient books, tracked down
_ thousands of obscure hints, talked for hours with Lama Thod-pa Badhra and
_ Khenpo Jigme Lingpa. At last my long search has borne fruit! There is a
_ terma hidden high on the South face of Chomolonzo. The prophecies say it is
_ more powerful than any that has been found before. They say it will give
_ eternal life to the one who knows how to use it. Ah, the possibilities!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Bennett Visits Jomo Menmo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Hiked up to Cherku village again to talk to Jomo Menmo. She's very powerful,
_ I can feel it. Today went better than the last time - at least she listened
_ to me. But she still refuses to help. As a Chod adept she must be interested
_ in the treasure, and I know she is descended from other tertons, so perhaps
_ she has plans of her own for its recovery. No matter. If I cannot gain her
_ cooperation, there are other ways.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Termas and Tertons -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Termas are Buddhist treasures hidden all over Tibet by the ancient guru
_ Padmasambhava and his disciples. They are pieces of wisdom and spiritual
_ power that will be found when the times are ready for them. Special adepts
_ of the Chod lineage, called tertons, are particularly attuned to the
_ prophecies and visions in which their locations are revealed.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- The Sacred One -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The mountain called Chomolonzo is sacred to the Sherpas. Some believe it is
_ the dancing place of Palden Lhamo, the protector Goddess of Buddhism. Others
_ believe the mountain is the Goddess herself. It is said that before climbing
_ the mountain, one must complete 12 koras - circumambulations of the base -
_ and purify oneself with secret Tantric rituals. Only then will the Goddess
_ allow her sacred grounds to be entered.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Sealing Ritual -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ This ritual protects an entrance from unwanted visitors, hungry ghosts or
_ fierce demons. The initiated one performs it in front of the entrance, using
_ the kartrika and the kila, reciting the mantra of the Goddess Tara. She
_ seals the entrance, yielding only to one who brings all parts of the seal.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Cleansing the Air -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ In times like this, when evil spirits roam the land, we must cleanse the air
_ so demons cannot enter the house. We recite the mantra of the Lotus, we
_ light the incense in the bowl. As the holy smoke spreads throughout the
_ house, the air is cleansed of all evil and unclean phantoms must remain
 _ outside.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Secret Door -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ When the curse came over the valley, I protected all the entrances to the
_ house. Jomo Menmo told me how to do it. The doors and windows are hidden so
_ evil ghosts and dreadful demons can't get in. Only those with special
_ knowledge can find the concealed entrances.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Imprisoning The Demon -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ For ten day I've been working down here in the dark. We must hurry, for the
_ demon might awaken at any moment. Jomo has bound it in sleep while we work.
_ We seek to pretect Cherku village by closing all the gates leading up from
_ the chasm and locking them with very powerful mantras. we must imprison the
_ demon in the chasm to keep it away from our homes and our fields.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- The Dark Jhator -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I am desperate. The whole village is desperate. The curse has swept down
_ from the mountain and everyone is dying. The head villager finally persuaded
_ Jomo Menmo and Khenpo Jigme Lingpa to perform a secret ritual that hasn't
_ been used in over 200 year - The Dark Jhator. The preparations have begun.
_ All we need now is to find the offering. I pray we can do this before the
 _ ghosts kill us all.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- The Dark Jhator and the Bardo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Performing the Dark Jhator Ritual will close the gate to the Bardo that was
_ ripped open by the curse. It is the ultimate offering to the suffering
_ spirits that plague our valley. We will perform it with the highest
_ compassion. We will use only the proper ritual tools, such as the Thoba
_ hammer that crushes the bones of ignorance and smoothes the path to
 _ enlightenment.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- The Dark Jhator and the Hungry Ones -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Normally, the Jhator offering is cold. We give to the creatures who live
_ around us that which we no longer need. The Dark Jhator is an even greater
_ ritual, for the offering must still be warm. All purifications must be made
_ with the greatest care. All tools must be the finest of the finest. All
_ mantras must be spoken with the highest awareness. With this care, the
_ offering will feed the hungry ones who dwell in the realms not normally seen
 _ by man.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- The Dark Jhator and the Kila -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The Dark Jhator is a secret Tantric ritual known only to an initiated few.
_ It is one of the highest acts of compassion possible. Only the most expert
_ of rogyapas can perform the ceremony, making the most delicate of cuts to
_ preserve the warmth of the offering until the moment when the heart is
_ submitted to the ultimate compassion of the triangular-bladed kila.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Studying Ghosts -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I have been studying the spirits, ghosts and demons in the invisible realms.
_ Some are earth-bound, "heavy" ghosts, who think they still live in the realm
_ of the human beings. They have unquenchable hunger and they hate all living
_ beings for still being alive. Others are air ghosts who hover or fly,
_ sailing on the winds like smoke. They are thin and light and travel fast.
_ They, too, are full of hatred and want to destroy all life around them.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- The Bardo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The Bardo is the intermediate state between death and rebirth. Those who
_ recognize the Clear Light may attain immediate enlightenment. Others will
_ experience powerful visions. If a monk or lama sits next to the deceased and
_ reads aloud from the Bardo Thodol - the Tibetan Book of the Dead - the
_ consciousness may recognize these forms for what they really are:
_ projections and reflections of inner realities, dream-like, nothing to be
 _ afraid of.

 _- Bennett's Telegram -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I got a telegram from Edward Bennett saying if I dropped everything and came
_ right away, he would fund me on an expedition up Chomolonzo. You don't say
_ "no" to a man like Bennett - especially with a mountain that has never been
_ summitted! So I came halfway round the world and here I am in Lhando. It's
_ more crowded than I remember, filthier too. You couldn't pay me to live
_ here. I don't know how Bennett stands it.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Bennett Reveals Prophecy -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Bennett says there's some prophecy that I'm going to discover a treasure on
_ Chomolonzo, put up there centuries ago by some monks. I've seen his work on
_ the location and I agree there's something up there. But of course the whole
_ prophecy business is insane. Still, if that's what makes him cough up the
_ money for the climb, then I'll be happy to play his golden boy.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- A Climber Prepares -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I stay at Mingma's house for days at a time, preparing for the climb by
_ doing ancient rituals. Bennett insisted on this - he seems to fear the
_ mountain somehow. It's rubbish of course, but it does give me time to
_ acclimatize and Mingma's pretty enough to look at, so what the hell. The

  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Bennett Says Don't Open the Treasure -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Bennett won't tell me what the treasure is, just that I can't open it. He
_ says he'll know if I do, and it's worth an extra $50,000 to me if I bring it
_ down intact. That works for me - I don't need to be some Howard Carter freak
_ and be the first to gaze on the face of King Tut or whatever. Collectors!
_ What idiots! Bennett must have money out the yin-yang. (Yin, yang? Get it?
_ Sometimes I crack myself up!)
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Cherku -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ If Eric were along on this trip he'd say Cherku is a beautiful village with
_ friendly people. He's always soft for local color. He'd probably sit with
_ them for hours and drink that god-awful butter-tea and eat their yak grease
_ and count himself lucky to be in one of the last unspoiled corners of the
_ world. Not me! No telly, no movies, no corner shop. He can have it!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Meeting Jomo Menmo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Jomo Menmo - now there's a crazy old bat! She stinks like a yak and she's
_ always muttering and giving you the evil eye. The people around here must be
_ simple to listen to her. Maybe when I retire I'll become a witch doctor.
 _ Boogity Boogity!
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Summitting Chomolonzo -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Here's one thing I don't understand. No one has ever summitted Chomolonzo.
_ They go as far as high camp, but never to the top. I can understand the
_ Sherpas giving it a miss, because of their daft beliefs. But what about the
_ rest of them? They do their koras and their mumbo-jumbo rituals, all just to
_ make some pilgrimage? What's the point of climbing if you're not going all
_ the way to the top?
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Unhappy Monks -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The monks are uneasy. I can tell. They don't like Westerners climbing their
_ precious mountain. I can tell by the way they look at me. Well to hell with
_ them. They don't own the bloody rock.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Paul and Mingma -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Paul Ward and Mingma have started to see a lot of each other. I don't think
_ he's shagging her, although God knows why not. I know I would. Paul really
_ buys into all that mystical crap, though, so maybe he hasn't got the goolies
_ for it. Anyway, it doesn't matter so long as she finishes the rituals and
_ gives me the nod to climb. Otherwise, the Sherpas will all clear out and the
_ whole expedition will go up the spout.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Other climbers are wimps -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I can't believe these wankers pay to climb almost to the top. Bugger that.
_ If I get the chance, I'm going all the way.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Mingma backs out -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Mingma wouldn't go through with it! I don't frigging believe it, after all
_ the crap I put up with! The stupid cow wanted me to start the whole song and
_ dance over again with some other girl. The hell with that. I've done more of
_ the sacred hocus pocus than any of the other climbers up here. I'm going
_ after that terma whether she likes it or not.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

_- Heading for the summit -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ Screw Paul. Screw Bennett. I'll be the first man to summit Chomolonzo, and
_ then I won't just be Eric Simmons' kid brother anymore.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- The weather turns -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ The weather's gone foul. I can just hear Eric saying the "prudent" thing
_ would be to go down. Who the hell uses words like "prudent"? It's sad in a
_ way. Eric used to be the best, but he's lost the edge. He's no longer
_ willing to take the risks to be truly great. I'm all in.
  -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

 _- Opening the terma -_
 _ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
_ I did it! First on Chomolonzo. but it'll cost me. Totally knackered. No O2.
_ Can't move. Probably won't make it back. I'm going to open that damn box.
_ See what I died for.

--------------------------------+++++++++++------------------------------------

In this section I will briefly describe the enemies and bosses you encounter in
Cursed Mountain, as well as give some hints or strategies for fighting them.
Regular enemies are ghost enemies, while Bosses are always more tangible demons.

      ______ [_0810_]
===== Ghosts ==================================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻ aka regular enemies

- Normal ghost:

These come in two variations: one is hooded and really, really slow, while
other without a hood (you can see its face) is somewhat faster. Both have
the same two types of attack. They come closer and either try to swing at
you or grab you and try to bite you. If for the latter attack he manages to
grab you, quickly waggle your Wiimote and Nunchuck up and down to shake it
off. Attack it however you like, both with the melee axe swing or with
spritiual shots. Compassion Ritual normally takes one or two swings.

- Flying ghost:

This one hovers over the ground and flies around you. It moves faster than
the normal ghosts and has two different attacks. It either charges some
spiritual energy and shoots it at you, or it makes a straight swoop at your
position. Both attacks can be dodged by running sideways in time. As it keeps
its distance, you can attack it with your spiritual shots only. Best wait
until it stands still and prepares for an attack, shoot it, then move out of
the way. Turn and attack again. Any spiritual weapon attack works, but if you
use the Lag Pa, wait until it stands still.

- Climber ghost:

The climber ghost wears a thick winter jacket and already moves relatively
fast sideways. Actually, it approaches in a zig-zag pattern - and when it
moves, it's blurred and misty. This makes it almost impossible to hit it with
any shot other than from the Khorlo. The climber stops when it wants to do
one of his two attacks: it either approaches all the way until very close to
you, then tries to swing at you. Or it stops some distance away and gets out
some sort of spiritual rope. It'll throw this at your position, and if it
hits you, it'll hurt and the ghost will try to drag you his way. Quickly
attack the ghost (or swing your axe) to get out of this grip. The best moment
to attack this enemy is when it stops, just before it attacks. The Kila deals
the most damage, but the Khorlo allows you to also hit it when it moves.
Grabbing it with the Lag Pa is not possible while it moves, and it sometimes
also manages to free itself from your lash, but may still be the quickest way
  of killing it.

- Lasso ghost:

This enemy is very similar to the climber ghost in many aspects, but it looks
thinner, and it moves even faster. It prefers to use its lasso (or rope) much
more frequently, also. So again, using the Lag Pa is tricky. I'd suggest
using the Kila or Khorlo, the latter especially when there's a group of
enemies. Kila deals more damage but the ghost needs to stand still (before it
attacks), the Khorlo does less damage, but hits more easily. The Compassion
Ritual for these ghosts always take four or five swings.

      ______ [_0820_]
===== Demons ==================================================================
      ŻŻŻŻŻŻ aka Bosses

///- The vulture-like flying creature (Into The Darkness) -\\\
    ------------------------------------------------------

First encounter
---------------

Second encounter
----------------

You'll have to fight the vulture spirit again!
As the vulture hasn't changed its tactics, there's no need for you to change
yours. Attack from the distance with your spiritual shot. Always after two hits
the spirit will warp somewhere else. If he's close, run on until it has done
it's scream attack, turn around and fire. If it's diving at you, run sideways a
bit to dodge.
After seven hits you can see a red symbol on the vulture in Third Eye vision,
so purify it asap, it will take a four swing combo.
Finally it's defeated! Grab the Kartrika Empowerment of Palden Lhamo it drops.

///- The six armed creature (Twilight Of The Bardo) -\\\
    ------------------------------------------------

///- The vulture-like flying creature, again (The Mountain Fallen) -\\\
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

///- Demon Bennett (Dark Spots In The Clear Light) -\\\
    -----------------------------------------------

Poof!

///- The Final Boss (Gone Way Beyond) -\\\
    ----------------------------------

Open).

----------------------------+++++++++++++++++++--------------------------------

So for I'm not aware of any codes or extremely well hidden stuff in this game.
If you have any, please tell me so.

The next best things that are somewhat hidden in the game are the health
increases that come with Jomo's Prophecies and the small red buddha statues
(Wrath of Ekajati), but I guess they're already all covered in the walkthrough.

-------------------------------+++++++++++++-----------------------------------

This section is dedicated to commonly asked questions. So far, there aren't
many... But I will update it whenever I feel the need of it - which means as
soon as somebody asks a question that isn't already answered in this guide.
So if you have a question, or have found a mistake or would like to have
something added, don't hesitate to contact me at:
DrLagoona (at) hotmail (dot) com.

__________

Q: Can you give me your copy of the game?

A: No! Please go and get your own copy.

__________

Q: I'm having trouble doing the Compassion Ritual. Somehow the game doesn't
   recognize my movements. Any tips?

A: I'm assuming the diagonal swings aren't the problem, as pretty much any
sideways swing is ok. The forwards (displayed on-screen with an upwards
arrow) movement might be trickier. Make sure you hold the Wiimote or
Nunchuck vertically (with the tip pointing straight up to the ceiling) in
front of you, close to your chest. Then make a fast thrust forward, like a
quick straight punch in boxing. This should do the job 95% of the time. And
don't be overhasty. Make a tiny break before each swing, then make a clear,
   smooth gesture.
Oh, and get rid of the Wii MotionPlus in case you're playing with that.

Here's an e-mail I received also concerning this:

 > I noticed that lots of people are having trouble with the compassion ritual,
 > me too. In fact it got so bad for me that I almost gave up playing the game.
 > But I figured that a developer would be insane to release a game where the
 > controls just didn't work, so I realised the problem must be with the way I
 > was doing the gestures, turned out I was right. For all those who are having
 > the same problem here are my tips on how to do the compassion ritual and get
 > the gestures recognised nine times out of ten;

 > Once you get the gesture arrows up on screen, you must then SLOW DOWN and be
 > very deliberate in making the gestures. I know that when you are in the
 > middle of hectic combat this is the last thing you feel like doing, but
 > don't worry, all the ghosts freeze while you perform the ritual, so you can
 > use the time the game gives you to do it properly.

 > Get the hand you are going to use for the gesture in position, as per the
 > instruction book, hold for a beat and make sure your other hand is not
 > moving, then do the gesture. You don't have to punch out hard, just make it
 > a big smooth movement, if the game recognises the gesture, then repeat the
 > process for the next one.

 > I have found that it is important to follow this precisely:

 > I/ Get your hand in position, as shown in the manual.

 > 2/ hold for a beat and keep the other hand still before you:

 > 3/ Make the gesture in one, big, smooth movement.

 > Perhaps several signals confuse the system, I don't know, but this simple
 > procedure has transformed the experience of playing Cursed Mountain for me.
 > DeepSilver should have included an in-game tutorial to take people through
 > this process, as things are, many will be Cursing them for the lousy-seeming
 > controls.

 > Cheers Steve MD
__________

Q: Where are the two last Secret Vision books to be found? The game says 16,
but I can only find 14.

A: There ARE ONLY 14. Here's the explanation I got after writing an e-mail
   about that to Deep Silver.

 > Dear 'CJ' Lagoona

 > Here we go with the final answer:
 > Sproing (the Austrian studio who programmed Cursed Mountain) has told us
 > that the two books where replaced by cutscenes. Afterwards nobody thought
 > about resetting the counter for the books (down to 14 books).
 > Or in other words, at some stage there where 16 books in the game but only
 > 14 made it into the final version. Unfortunately the book counter was left
 > at the value 16. The two missing books can't be found, they are not included
 > in the retail version anymore.

 [omitted]

 > Best regards

                            + Version history + [_1100_]
----------------------------+++++++++++++++++++--------------------------------

Version 0.20 - Guide started with the layout and descriptions done, and the
(08/22/09) walkthrough part up to the start of Facing The Yogini. This is
the fist official, accepted version, but still way incomplete.

Version 0.50 - Continued with the walkthrough up to the middle of 'Cutting
(08/25/09) Through Ignorance'. Also added some items.

Version 0.55 - Continued with the walkthrough up to the middle of 'Obstacles
(08/27/09) Removed'. Also added some info on the small red buddhas.

Version 0.60 - Continued with the walkthrough up to the beginning of 'Mountain
(08/31/09) Fallen'.

Version 0.65 - Corrected some small mistakes and continued with the walkthrough
(09/04/09) only a little bit (past the spike maze in 'Mountain Fallen').

Version 1.00 - Finished the walkthrough section and added some tips. Also made
(09/07/09) lists of the book entries (three are missing!). Added an ascii
               header.

Version 1.10 - Rewrote the final boss fight section and started adding the book
(09/09/09) entry transcripts. Adapted the ToC and made an new 'Enemies'
section (with bosses and regular enemies). Also changed one
enemy name from fast ghost to lasso ghost.

Version 1.11 - Finished with the book transcripts. Also added the missing
(09/18/09) Lhando Chronicle in the book section, even though I don'k know
exactly where it can be found (thanks to Yurikoff).

Version 1.12 - Added a tip obtained from slyjak about the red line visible in
(10/05/09) Third Eye vision in the dense snowstorm part of the last level.

Version 1.13 - Wrote an e-mail to Deep Silver and got an answer about the two
(11/10/09) Secret Visions books: they are not in the game.
Included the exact location of the last Lhando Chronicle I was
missing, "Chomolonzo Has Changed" (Yurikoff, thanks again).
Added the location of one more Oxygen Bottle in 'Into the Void'.
Also added a small tip about not using the Wii MotionPlus and
               made some other small corrections.

Version 1.14 - Added a snippet about the boss of 'Into the Void' after
(01/11/10) receiving an e-mail about it. Also corrected a few typos in the
               boss fight sections.

Version 1.15 - Since the PC version was released lately, I added a little bit
(03/05/10) about that, too. However, as I don't have the PC version, real
info would need to come from somebody else.

??? What could still be added: ???

- Differences to and adaptations for the PC version (e.g. controls, saving)
- Expand the descriptions of items and weapons
- How exactly do the small red buddha statues (Wrath of Ekajati) work?

Of course you're also welcome to help with the 'what could be still be added'
issues as well as some of the other points that may still be unclear in my
guide.

As mentioned at the start, this version is based on the European Wii version.
While it's not likely that the US/Jap version will have different items or
locations, I can't be sure. And of course, the controls for the PC version are
different.

If YOU know of any differences and would like to help out, please tell me so
and I'll give you full credit, of course.
