[ODL1] Introduction
*******************************************************************************

Overlord: Dark Legend is a whimsical dark fairytale adventure game. While you
can attack and cast spells yourself, most of the combat and destruction will
be handled by your minions. The game is around 6-10 hours and is relatively
easy but it is still a very enjoyable game.

[ODL1A] Characters
*******************************************************************************

Overlord: You. A 16 year old nameless boy scorned by his older brother and
sister.

Brown Minions: These are your basic well-rounded front-line fighters. They are
tough in combat and can jump on certain enemies for extra damage. They will
die from any elemental hazard (water, fire, poison).

Red Minions: These are your ranged units - flaming archers. They are weak in
hand-to-hand combat and can die quickly. They are immune to fire hazards and
can absorb sources of flame.

Blue Minions: These are your support troops. They are weak at combat and have
low health; however, they can resurrect fallen minions (as long as they get to
the dead minion before his spirit evaporates). They can swim across water.

Green Minions: The best attackers in the game but are slightly more fragile
than brown minions. They can survive poison gas, absorb the sources of the
gas, and can become invisible when standing still at a guard marker.

Gnarl: Ancient advisor of all things evil. He is the head minion who offers
you advice and guidance throughout the game by speaking to you through your
magic helm. He is always found in the Throne Room and sleeps in an Iron Maiden.

Lady Gerda: Your oaf of a sister. She is a big tough warrior. Her favorite
pasttimes are drinking, gambling, and fighting so she fits in with the dwarves
whom she sees as the only "real men". She thinks her twin brother is weaselly
and not tough enough to be the heir.

Lord Grenville: Your snide older brother. He is vain and cunning. His is drawn
to beautiful things making him a natural ally of the elves. He thinks his twin
sister is boorish and not smart enough to be the heir.

The Duke: Your father. Ruler of Gromgard. Quite incompetent. Thankfully, he
gave most of his genes to your older brother and sister.

Black Baron: Your Uncle, the previous ruler of Greenvale. He ruled by fear but
he kept the people fed and the lands free from beasts and brigands.

Rollick: Chef of Castle Gromgard. He stays in the Kitchen thinking up multiple
ways to serve pumpkin. He will offer you side quests.

Jinks: A Halfling jester. He is fed up with the derision your older siblings
send his way. His silence belies his leadership abilities and his job title
belies his craftiness.

Nym: An eccentric bard who runs the Pumpkin Shack in Meadowsweet Town. He will
offer you side quests.

Lil' Red: A young girl in a red-hooded cape.

Wolf Queen: A massive wolf that can turn into a human. She is the leader of
her pack and does not take kindly to anyone bold enough to slay her kin.

Doris the Witch: She runs the Gingerbread House and is involved in shady
dealings.

Widget: Foreman Widget is the head of the dwarf clan in the Golden Hills. He
is a mechanical expert and has a close relationship with Lady Gerda.

Erasmus: A botanical wizard. He rules the elf clan in Illirium and works with
Lord Grenville.

[ODL1B] Minions
*******************************************************************************

There are 4 types of Minion and they each have their strengths and weaknesses.
In addition to directing a minion around, you can charge or sacrifice a minion
to achieve certain goals. Charging a minion involves picking them up (hold A+B
and raise your wii-mote vertically) and shaking your wii-mote sideways to
charge a minion and let go to watch them scurry off and explode). Sacrificing
a minion involves picking them up and shaking your nunchuk to kill them in
order to gain some health or mana (you can also sacrifice minions in blood or
mana pits in order to gain back a larger amount of health or mana).

Brown Minions
-------------
These are your basic well-rounded front-line fighters. They are tough in combat
and can jump on certain enemies for extra damage. They will die from any
elemental hazard (water, fire, poison).

Charged: Creates a powerful explosion which can knock over or stun enemies.
Sacrificed: Small health boost.

Red Minions
-----------
These are your ranged units - flaming archers. They are weak in hand-to-hand
combat and can die quickly. They are immune to fire hazards and can absorb
sources of flame.

Charged: Creates a fiery explosion, igniting enemies and flammable objects.
Sacrificed: Small mana boost.

Blue Minions
------------
These are your support troops. They are weak at combat and have low health;
however, they can resurrect fallen minions (as long as they get to the dead
minion before his spirit evaporates). They can swim across water.

Charged: All minions hit by the blessing will automatically resurrect if they
         are killed.
Sacrificed: Small mana boost.

Green Minions
-------------
The best attackers in the game but are slightly more fragile than brown
minions. They can survive poison gas, absorb the sources of the gas, and can
become invisible when standing still at a guard marker.

Charged: Creates a cloud of gas which poisons and deters enemies.
Sacrificed: Small health boost.

[ODL1C] Locations
*******************************************************************************

You initially start out in Castle Gromgard. The main quest will guide you
through each location. Obstacles will prevent you from going to a location
beforehand although you can backtrack to any previous location. Most of your
travel will take place via Waypoint Gates - basically, teleporation. Walk over
any new gate that you see and it will become available to you.

[ODL1E] Menus
*******************************************************************************

Menus
-----

Pressing 1 on your wii-mote will bring up the Menu selection. There are five
option screens: Player Stats, Quest Log, Maps, Mincyclopedia, and Options.

Player Stats tells you how many of each minion are currently summoned, gold,
horde power (how strong your current selection of minions are), life force
(you need life force to summon a minion), and the maximum amount of minions
that you can summon.

Quest Log shows the current quest and any side quests you may have been asked
to perform. Choose any quest to see what steps you have completed and what
step you currently need to complete.

Maps shows the Overworld Map (15 locations). Click on any of these locations
to bring up a detailed map showing where you have explored, level exits,
waypoint gates, minion gates, blood and mana pits, and a "*" to indicate where
you need to go. You can quickly access the detail map of the current location
you are at by pressing 2 on your wii-mote.

The Mincyclopedia shows your Journal (the story of your journey so far),
Characters, Enemies, Devices (including spells), and Tutorials (in case you
have forgotten how to do something).

The Options screen has Audio Options, Game Options, Save Options (in case you
want to start saving in a different save slot), Return to Castle (this option
is not available everywhere - and it abandons all of the minions you have out),
and Save & Quit Game.

[ODL1F] Tips
*******************************************************************************

Concerning the Directions I give - it is based on the map provided when
pressing the 2 button; it does not always correlate to true N/S/E/W.

Have your minions constantly destroy smashable objects. They will find things
to equip on themselves that will increase their horde strength.

Saving occurs during loading screens. You will always start at the Throne Room
when you load a save game.

As you progress throughout the game, Rollick builds furniture for your room and
the servant's quarters that is good for destroying and equipping newly spawned
minions.

Use red minions to destroy haystacks from afar in Farmstead. They give gold.

If you need to restore your health and mana after a quest, go to Meadowsweet
Town and pillage the area.

If you are having a difficult time keeping your minions alive, upgrade their
level at the forge.

The more Mana Relics you have, the more potent your spells will be.

Bugs: Journal entries may simply disappear. The game freezes every now and
then.

[ODL2] Walkthrough: Quests
*******************************************************************************

[ODL2A] Introduction
*******************************************************************************

An important note: You cannot perform functions until you are introduced to
them by the game.

---------------------

Head back to the Main Hall and to your right. Gerda's door is on the left and
will automatically open when you get close.

you can stay and smash the rest of her stuff first).

-------------------------

Go across the hall.

Recall the Minions with A
-------------------------

Hold A to recall your minions.

will attack anything nearby. You can also press B at a destructable object and
they will go and attack it.

Investigate the commotion coming from the kitchen
-------------------------------------------------

Go back downstairs to the kitchen, destroying objects with your minions as you
go (always do this as you travel - your minions will collect things for you as
well as armor and weapons for themselves.

Defeat all of the invading Halflings
------------------------------------

Instruct your minions to attack the halflings by pressing B on the halflings.
After defeating the two halfings in the kitchen go up the stairs in the kitchen

will collect the life force if it is nearby. You can sweep them to collect the
rest of the life force or you can collect it yourself.

Spawn more Minions from the Minion Gate
---------------------------------------

Click A on the Brown Minion Gate for another minion (you might as well just
hold A to get 2 minions, 5 being your maximum at this point). If you click or
hold B on the Minion Gate the minions will go back through the Gate. You can
recall them at any time and they will keep whatever armor and weapons they have
accrued.

Use the Wheel to Open the Portcullis Gate
-----------------------------------------

Hold B on the wheel to get 4 minions to use the wheel to open the gate.

Follow the Halflings out of the castle
--------------------------------------

Walk out of the newly opened gate.

[ODL2B] Quest 01: Save Castle Gromgard
*******************************************************************************

Find the Red Minion Hive
------------------------

Go along the path past the Brown Minion Gate and battle 2 halfling swordsmen.
Go along the path until you get to the Wilderness Fields Waypoint Gate and
Minion Gates. Attack the 2 halflings and then go to the right of the halfling
rocklobbers to get a gold chest and find a path to kill the rocklobbers. Go
back to the main path and use your minions to move the object blocking your
path.

Kill the 3 halfling scouts and follow the path and veer to the right to kill
2 more halflings and get another gold chest. Go into the pumpkin patch clearing
to kill 2 halfling swordsmen and use your minions to get *Spell Relic #1*
(Energy Spike). Go past the minion gate to confront a halfling swordsmen, 2
scouts, and 2 rocklobbers. Destroy the objects and get another gold chest. Use
your minions to move the crate near the windmill and get another gold chest.
Have your minions go into the windmill and the other house to destroy the items
inside. Head down the hill to the waterfall.

Sweep your minions to the other side and they will cross using the minion-only
path. Keep B pressed on the other side while you cross through the water. The
left path is blocked so take the right path up to a bunch of sheep. Continue on
the path to your left to confront a bunch of halfling swordsmen. Then point at
the Still and send your minions to destroy it and open the gate. Kill 3 more
halflings and have your minions turn the Wheel to open the gate to obtain 3
red minions. Head down past the open gate to kill 2 more halflings and use your
red minions to eat the wall of fire. There are 4 halfling swordsmen and 2
rocklobbers in this next area as well as a couple of gold chests.

Have your red minions eat the wall of fire, kill a couple more halflings, eat
another wall of fire and then order your brown minions to take the Red Hive
back to the waypoint gate while your other minions get another gold chest.

Return the Red Hive to a Waypoint Gate
--------------------------------------

Follow the minions carrying your hive, killing a halfling here and there until
you get to a bridge that is on fire. Use the red minions to eat the fire, kill
a halfling, and go up the stairs. Get a gold chest in the center area in-
between the two sets of stairs and kill the last halfing before the waypoint
gate.

Use Waypoint Gate to teleport back into the Castle
--------------------------------------------------

Walk over the waypoint gate and click on the Gromgard Castle Map to teleport
back into the castle.

Put out the fires
-----------------

At the minion gates, configure your minions so that you have 3 Red Minions and
2 Brown Minions. Use the red minions to eat the fire blocking the doorway and
go through. Use the d-pad on your wii-mote to choose your red minions and use
a guard marker on the ledge opposite the halfling rocklobbers. Then choose your
brown minions to turn the wheel. Get the gold chest, eat the fire, and have
your minions take *Blood Relic #1* back to the waypoint gate.

Wait for your minions to return and continue on to get a gold chest in the next
room. Choose your red minions and set a guard marker on the left pillar. Send
your brown minions to turn the Wheel and then move your red minion guard marker
(hold B on the guard marker and move it with your wii-mote pointer) to the
right side to attack the other halfling rocklobber. Go through the open gate,
get the gold chest, and eat the fire blocking your path.

Confront Jinks
--------------

Go up the stairs into the Kitchen. Jinks is making quite a racket. Go out into
the Courtyard. Jinks is in his own contraption that shoots pumpkins and also
can race forward to ram into you. It does not matter which minions you choose
to use. Use a guard marker for red minions on the upper level with the minion
gates. Have any brown minions accompany you down the stairs. Run around
avoiding the pumpkins and Jinks will start revving his wheels. If you stand
still he will run you over, so make sure you move when he is ready to ram you.
His contraption will stall - so attack with yourself and your brown minions.
By positioning yourself between Jinks and your red minions, you can basically
have him ram the wall and allow your red minions to attack him as well.

Rinse and repeat for a job well done.

Gnarl will find a minion relic that now allows you to have a maximum of 10
minions at any one time.

[ODL2C] Quest 02: Stolen Goods
*******************************************************************************

Gnarl will inform you of your next quest. At this point, you can go into the
kitchen and Rollick will give you your first side quest.

Open the path in the Wilderness
-------------------------------

Teleport to the Wilderness Fields waypoint gate and make sure you have 10
minions (I usually have 5 Red and 5 Brown). If you received the side quest from
Rollick, you can destroy all of the rotten pumpkins before you get to the
waterfall. There are now weevils in the area: bigger, meaner beetles. Go back
and cross the stream from the waterfall and head left to use all 10 minions to
move the object that blocks your path.

Make your way to the town of Meadowsweet
----------------------------------------

Go forward to Farmstead. Use your minions to get *Spell Relic #2* (Shield) to
your right. Further right, past a breakable wooden gate, is a path to a
windmill and a bridge that you cannot cross right now. Ahead of you is a spiked
fence. Throttle one of your minions until he starts glowing and let him go to
blow up the fence. Go forward to dispatch a bandit and his friend behind a
haystack.

You can go right, through another wooden fence, to move an object allowing you
to get to the windmill and bridge area. Go forward and there will be another
bandit waiting behind the next house. Past the house to the right is
*Mana Relic #1*. To the left is another spiked fence. Destroy it and go forward
for another cut-scene.

Explore Bandit's Hideout
------------------------

There is a gold chest behind you to your right and minion gates forward on your
left. Kill the Bandit and head to Skull Canyon. Kill 6 Bandits (1 on your left,
3 near the drawbridge, and 2 on the other side of the drawbridge). Use guard
markers for your red minions near the ledges while your brown minions use the
Wheel to lower the drawbridge. There is a gold chest on the left side as well
as *Spell Relic #3* (Slow).

Go over the bridge and get the gold chest near the Ram. Go up the left-hand
path and dispatch 3 Bandits and step on the glowing circle to get a cut-scene
(a gold chest will appear in that spot afterwards). Get another gold chest on
a minion-only path. Go back and take the right path. Kill 1 bandit and throttle
a brown minion to destroy the spiked fence. Kill a couple more bandits and
along the path to your right will be 2 gold chests, to your left will be a
Blood Pit.

You will now be in an area with 5 Bandits and 2 Bandit tents. Kill the bandits
and destroy the tents (as they will spawn more bandits). There is a gold chest
on the left ledge. Blow up the spiked fence and kill 2 more bandits. Go up the
steps and you will look down upon a bandit camp. Position the red minions on
the ledge and send the brown minions to attack the bandits and destroy the
tent. Go left and up the ledge for a gold chest and *Blood Relic #2*. Use your
minions to move the object blocking your path.

Fight the bandits in this area and take out the 2 tents. Destroy the spiked
fence and take out more bandits and 2 more tents on the ledges (there is a
gold chest near one of those tents). Use your minions to turn the Wheel and
release the Rock Giant who will crush the remaining bandits.

Defeat the Rock Giant
---------------------

Send your red minions away and get all brown minions from the minion gates.
Go down along the path and send your brown minions to attack the Rock Giant
while you cast Slow on him and then attack him until he is destroyed.

Retrieve the Castle Forge
-------------------------

Cross the rock bridge and get a gold chest on the left. Use your minions to
get the Castle Forge on your left.

Return to Castle and visit Gnarl
--------------------------------

Return to the Castle Throne Room via the waypoint gate.

[ODL2D] Problems in Meadowsweet
*******************************************************************************

Investigate the problems in Meadowsweet
---------------------------------------

Teleport to the Farmstead Town Gate and go forward for a cut-scene of the
villagers lowering the drawbridge. Enter Meadowsweet Town. If you visited
Rollick and received the second side quest, you can complete it now. To your
left, up the wooden walkway, is a gold chest. Go up the set of stairs on your
right to get another gold chest. Go forward past the well for a cut-scene with
Nym.

There are many other gold chests in Meadowsweet Town. One is behind the Pumpkin
Shack where Nym is located. One is in the south-eastern area protected by
poison gas (wait until you get green minions). One is across the water from the
waypoint gate in the south-western area. One is in the eastern town circle. One
is at the eastern town drawbridge. One is near the western town drawbridge on
a minion-only path.

[ODL2E] Quest 03: Wolf Worries
*******************************************************************************

Kill 6 Wolves in the Withering Woods (0/6)
------------------------------------------

Head to the Western exit and use your minions to operate the Wheel and lower
the drawbridge. Exit into the Withering Woods. Get all red minions. Move
forward and take out a Wolf. As you go forward, you can go back up a ledge to
your right to get a gold chest. Defeat some dark fairies and go forward to
dispatch another wolf. Attack the push-over bridge object on your left. Send
your minions across the minion-only path and walk across the water where there
is a Blood Pit and a gold chest. Destroy the dried vines with your red minions
and the wolf that is on the other side. Destroy 2 dark fairies, a wolf, and the
dried vines on the right side so that your minions can move the object to
create a bridge.

Cross the bridge for another wolf, gold chest, and 3 dark fairies. Go forward
to kill one more wolf to finish this quest. Attack the stone wall to make a
bridge and a quick path back to the waypoint gate.

Return to Nym in Meadowsweet
----------------------------

Return to Nym near the well in Meadowsweet Town. As a reward, there will be a
big sack of gold on the wooden platform to the left of the Pumpkin Shack that
you need your minions to carry back. Also, near the well will be
*Spell Relic #4* (Frenzy). Keep standing next to Nym and you can get a new
side quest from him.

[ODL2F] Quest 04: Lil' Red
*******************************************************************************

Find the girl in the red hood
-----------------------------

Lil' Red is north of the well in the center of town.

Escort Lil' Red throught the Woods
----------------------------------

Go to the western gate to the Withering Woods. Red moves a wall blocking the
path to the left. Past the Mana Pit on the left is a gold chest. Kill the wolf
ahead and the wolf den (that spawns wolves) on the right. Attack the breakable
bridge on the left. Use a guard marker to get minions to cross it and then
enter the water constantly moving forward and moving the guard marker forward
on the left at the same time until you can have them cross to the other side
across a minion-only path. Exit the water. Defeat 2 dark fairies. Keep going
forward and cross a bridge, destroying dried vines on your left and a wolf
den is past that (along with a gold chest). You will be attacked from the
right by a wolf. Continue right and defeat 5 dark fairies until you come to a
waypoint gate. Go forward and have your minions destroy a breakable bridge and
cross to the other side to destroy a wolf den. Have them destroy another
breakable bridge on the left side and cross to destroy the other wolf den (all
as you are fighting wolves that are emerging).

Cross over the water to join your minions and get 2 gold chests in the area.
Burn the dried vines and move the object to create a bridge. Defeat 6 dark
fairies and cross a large tree bridge. Defeat a wolf and a cut-scene will
trigger with Lil' Red going into her house. You will have to defeat 6 wolves.

Before going into Lil' Red's house, go left up the passage and defeat 6 dark
fairies to get a gold chest. Attack the stone wall to create a bridge and have
your minions that *Mana Relic #2* to the waypoint gate. When you have all of
your minions back, enter Lil' Red's house.

Defeat the Wolf Queen
---------------------

You are now in Lupine Cavern facing the Wolf Queen. Use 2 guard markers to
attack the Wolf Queen from 2 different sides, casting slow when you can. When
she takes a minion into a nest to eat, use your red minions to burn the nest.
Now rocks will fall to create minion-only paths up to some rocks. Attack the
wolf queen and when she takes a minion to eat, have the minions follow and
attack her. Keep doing this until she dies.

After you have won, use your minions to transport *Minion Relic #2* to a
waypoint gate and get 3 gold chests near the exit.

[ODL2G] Quest 05: Sweet Tooth
*******************************************************************************

Visit the Gingerbread Seller
----------------------------

Teleport to Meadowsweet Town. Go to the eastern side of the map and you will
meet the Gingerbread Seller (west of the eastern gate, in a culdesac).

Find the witch
--------------

Use a minion to pick up the Candy Cane stick and go to the Eastern gate to use
all of your minions to turn the Wheel and lower the drawbridge. Cross the
bridge to go to Melancholy Moors. Head forward and fight 4 dark fairies and
watch a cut-scene with the Witch and a boy.

Find a way into Gingerbread House
---------------------------------

Get a gold chest on your right. Keep going and you will see that a Gingerbread
Man holds a Candy Cane. Dispatch him and the other gingerbread men and pick up
the candy cane with one of your minions to take it to the wheel. There are two
more candy canes to get, labeled with a "!" on your map.

Go left (Southeast portion of the map) and there will be 5 or 6 gingerbread
men (one with a candy cane). Take them one or two at a time from afar and then
use a minion to take the candy cane to the wheel. Get a gold chest at the
eastern edge.

Now go to the right (southernmost point). The gingerbread man with the candy
cane is leading 3 other gingerbread men in a march. Take them out and take the
candy cane to the wheel. Keep going northwest to get a gold chest by the house.
Go back to the Witch's house and use your minions to turn the Wheel.

Explore the Gingerbread House
-----------------------------

Go across the bridge and into the Gingerbread House. Walk up to the cage and
free your blue minions. Use them to turn the Wheel in the water to raise a
bridge. Cross over to watch a cut-scene and then go to your left around the
path and attack 2 gingerbread men beyond some pipes with your red minions.

Go upstairs and guard marker your red minions at the opposite side to start
killing a gingerbread man. Take your blue minions to get a gold chest in the
water and dispatch two gingerbread men in the center platform. Use the blue
minions to move an object in the water to create a bridge for your red minions
to cross. Take out 2 more gingerbread men and use your blue minions to turn a
Wheel in the water to life one more bridge. Then use your red minions to go
down the stairs and extinguish the fire in the ovens.

Continue on the path created by bursting the pipes to your left. Use your red
minions to extinguish the fires of the small ovens to prevent them from
spawning more gingerbread men (there are two, one on the far left and one on
the far right). Use the blue minions to cross the water and turn a Wheel to
create a bridge. Get a gold chest on the far side near the oven.

Move across the bridge and 2 gingerbread men attack. Despawn your red and
brown minions and go into the flooded path with your blue minions. After you
get to dry land there will be a red and brown minion gate in some water. Spawn
red minions and sweep your blue minions to them to resurrect them and carry
them to dry land.

Battle the gingerbread men and have your red minions take out the oven and
get the gold chest nearby. Pick up the spokes in the water with your blue
minions and use them to get the gold chest and turn the Wheel in the water.
With a bridge created, use your red minions to cross and dispatch gingerbread
men and extinguish the final oven.

Search for Blue Hive
--------------------

Destroy the 5 or 6 remaining gingerbread men and go to the newly created path
between the two big ovens to the Witch's Kitchen.

Defeat Doris the Witch
----------------------

For this part I had 8 red minions and 8 blue minions. As the battle starts,
back up to where the scene starts to widen to take you back to the gingerbread
house but do not go back. From this vantage point, the witch cannot hit you.
Use a red minion to go into the fire on the right side and get a rocket.
Follow the flying witch around. When her broom stalls and she starts talking,
recall your minion by holding the A button. As soon as she falls, order all of
your minions to attack and attack her yourself. A new rocket will spawn on the
left side. When the witch starts to get up, back up to where you were and use
a blue minion to get the rocket. Rinse and repeat as necessary (it only took
me taking her down twice; three times the first time when I had more red than
blue minions).

Retrieve the Blue Hive
----------------------

Use your minions to carry the blue hive to the waypoint gate. Before you start
on the next quest, teleport to the Farmstead Town Gate and use your blue
minions to get *Blood Relic #3*. Look at the map and go to the Northern area
of the map that you have not been to yet. Use the blue minions to cross the
water on the minion-only path and use the Wheel to lower the drawbridge. After
crossing the bridge, go to your right and in the opposite direction to cross
the water and get *Mana Relic #3* as well as 2 gold chests. While you are
here, attack the stone wall to create another bridge beside the drawbridge.

[ODL2H] Quest 06: Sinister Sister
*******************************************************************************

Open the gates to the Dwarf lands
---------------------------------

Teleport to the Melancholy Moors. At this point, only have blue minions. Head
south along the map defeating Dark Fairies along the way. There will be a
golden circle that will trigger a cut-scene (a minion playing with a bee hive
- you may have triggered this in the previous quest). Then go west along the
path until you get to a stream.

Cross the stream, get the gold chest on your left, dispatch the Dark Fairies
and have your minions turn the Wheel to lower the drawbridge. Send your
minions along the minion-only path to lower the other drawbridge and get a
gold chest. Then get *Spell Relic #5* (Chain Lightning).

Find Gerda in Hammerstone Gorge
-------------------------------

Pass over the bridge and through the level exit to Hammerstone Gorge. Make sure
you have a few red minions. Head east and kill the slugs. Have your minions
push the object over the slug hole to prevent them from respawning and get the
gold chest. Have your blue minions turn the Wheel to stop the waterfall. There
is a golden circle near some rocks. Have your minions attack it for a cut-scene
of a boulder clearing the way.

On a rock near the wheel, get another gold chest. Have your red minions absorb
the fire wall. Note the electric fence here. Kill a slug and go ignore the
object that requires 17 minions to push. You will come to a clearing with a
large doorway on your right.

The Sentry here will send continuous waves of 2 slugs at you so, as soon as
you enter this area, send your minions to destroy the generator on the opposite
side on top of a ledge (they will walk up a minion-only path on the far right
to get there). Once the generator is destroyed, call your minions back and
leave the area through the disabled electric fence on your left (if you do it
fast enough, by the time the generator is destroyed, the Sentry will just be
sending out the first wave of slugs).

Continue on the path, ignoring the area with the poisonous gas, until you see
a cut-scene with your Sister and Widget. Kill the slugs and plug up the slug
hole. Get 2 gold chests and use your minions to get *Forge Upgrade 1* on the
left side of the floating platforms.

Before leaving the area, go back to the Electric Fence I told you to take note
of and use your minions to get *Mana Relic #4*.

[ODL2I] Quest 07: Farmstead Troubles
*******************************************************************************

Find out what is happening in the Farmstead
-------------------------------------------

Teleport to the Farmstead River Crossing gate to be thrust in the heart of the
plant invasion (if you want to take it slow, teleport to the southernmost
waypoint gate - it is also the most economical way but the walkthrough is in
order from the river crossing gate).

Thwart the Plant Invasion. Kill 17 flytraps (0/17)
--------------------------------------------------

There are 4 flytraps in the immediate vicinity (River Crossing Gate). Go
northeast across the bridge to kill 4 more flytraps near the windmill.
Continue along the path to kill 3 more flytraps by the pumpkin patch area.
Go Southwest to the central landmass for 4 more flytraps scattered about.
There are 2 more flytraps near the Farmstead Town Gate.

[ODL2J] Quest 08: Herbicide
*******************************************************************************

Find the source of the invading plants
--------------------------------------

Head back to the Farmstead River Crossing Gate and use your minions to get
*Minion Relic #3* beyond the newly destroyed vines. Head along the path to get
to Verdant Valley. Walk ahead to the Verdant Valley Entrance waypoint gate and
get a gold chest. Use all of your minions to move the object blocking your
path. Destroy the 4 flytraps (2 within shooting distance). Get a gold chest,
kill more flytraps, and move forward for another gold chest. You should now be
at a brown minion gate with a red minion gate across the pond with a minion-
only path in between.

Go north along the path to get a gold chest. Kill the 2 flytraps that the
Sentry sets on you and use your blue minions to turn the Wheel in the pond to
open the Southern Gate. Head along the path getting a gold chest and killing
2 flytraps. There will be 4 more flytraps before you get to the Verdant Valley
Altar waypoint gate.

Attack the breakable wall to create a bridge. Kill flytraps, get a gold chest,
kill more flytraps and continue along to the Guardian Tree. Have a minion pick
up the torch object and guide him to the heart of the Guardian Tree to set it
ablaze. Get a gold chest where the torch object was located. Before moving on,
take the northern path, attack the breakable wall and use your minions to get
*Blood Relic #4* and a gold chest. Go beyond the Guardian Tree to the Plant
Garrison.

Head to the Plant Garrison waypoint gate. Go forward for the Bind Weed cut-
scene. Guard marker your red minions beside the bind weeds and send some
minions across the bind weed patch. When the bind weed strikes, help attack it
and save your poor minion. Repeat this until you have destroyed all 4 Bind
Weeds. Get 2 gold chests on the ledge overhanging the bind weeds. Continue
forward, ignoring the path blocked by gas, to encounter an Elf Gardener. Kill
another elf and use your blue minions to move a Wheel in a pond to shut down
the water.

Take out more elves and the Elf Gate that spawns them. There are another 2
Bind Weeds in the grass and another 2 Bind Weeds by the moveable object. Once
you kill them, use your blue minions to move the object to create a bridge.
Kill the elves and the elf gate. Continue to the Plant Garrison Outpost
waypoint gate. Move forward.

Sabotage the plant army
-----------------------

Kill the elves and the elf gate. There are 4 bind weeds lying in the weeds to
the path to a moveable object. Use your minions to turn the Wheel shutting off
the gas and get 1 gold chest in the pit. Kill the flytraps, elves, and elf gate
and turn another Wheel to stop more flytraps from coming. Go forward to get 2
gold chests and continue on.

Use your minions to push an object to block the gas. Kill the enemies and move
around to destroy the elf gate (there is a gold chest on the upper platform).
Use your minions to move an object to block the gas again while killing the
flytraps. Get the missing spoke and use your minions to turn the Wheel
(sometimes, in the confusion, they will get the spoke without your knowing) to
destroy the gas makers and create a bridge. Get 2 gold chests and use your
minions to get *Spell Relic 6* (Petrify). Exit through the eastern exit gate
to trigger the cut-scene with your dear Brother and enter the Putrid Pools.

[ODL2K] Quest 09: Gassy Greens
*******************************************************************************

Find the Green Minion Hive
--------------------------

Get the gold chest and throttle a brown minion to send it into the suction
tube on the left side to free the green minions. Use the green minions to
attack the noxious gas producing plants. Get the gold chest and
*Mana Relic #5*. Continue on the path, destroy the gas plant, and use the
stealth ability of the green minions when prompted (set a guard marker and put
it across the bridge on your right to ambush the elf).

Use your minions to get the spoke that the elf drops and turn the Wheel in the
gas by the Guardian Tree to stop the gas. Use your blue minions to get 2 gold
chests in the pond as well as the torch object. Guide your minion with the
torch into the heart of the Guardian Tree. Have your green minions disable all
of the gas plants surrounding the Green Hive.

Retrieve the Green Hive
-----------------------

You do not need to pick it up now (as long as you are willing to backtrack).
In the next room, have your red minions (if you have them) kill the flytraps
on the left side while your green minions clear the area on the right and move
the object to create a bridge. There is a gold chest in the right area, one by
the Blood Pit, and one near the minion gates.

Clear away more gas plants and kill the flytraps. Use your blue minions to
push the object to bridge the gap. If you do not have the green hive, go back
and have your blue minions pick it up. Use your blue minions to carry it
across the water and have your minions turn the Wheel. Use your green minions
to clear away more gas plants and allow your other minions to take the hive
to the Putrid Pools Far Side waypoint gate.

Visit Gnarl back in the Castle
------------------------------

Before going back, have your minions move the object obstructing your way to
the Verdant Valley level exit. In Verdant Valley, use your green minions to
take *Mana Relic #6*. Teleport to Meadowsweet Town and go to the circle in the
SouthEast, destroy the gas plants, and get the 2 gold chests and
*Spell Relic #7* (Power Drain). Now you can teleport to the Castle Throne Room.

[ODL2L] Quest 10: Dwarf Wardrobe
*******************************************************************************

Find the Dwarf Envoy outfits
----------------------------

Teleport to Hammerstone Gorge. Near the SouthWest corner of the map is an area
separated by gas. Use your green minions to clear the area, get 2 gold chests,
and get *Minion Relic #4*. Go to your minion gates to get the maximum (17),
making sure you have red and blue minions.

In the SouthEast corner use your minions to move the object, get a gold chest,
and enter the Foundry. Get a gold chest by the Foundry Entrance waypoint gate.
Move forward and get another gold chest and fight 3 dwarf warriors. In the next
area your red minions will be able to attack from afar using guard markers. Use
red and blue minions to move the objects beyond the environmental barriers.
Turn the Wheels on the platforms above each pit and use your minions to open
the main gate.

Go forward to the Foundry Transport Room waypoint gate. Past this room is an
area with 4 dwarf warriors (2 on each side) and 4 dwarf gates (in the corners
of the pit area) with fire intermittently coming up through the grates. Attack
the dwarf gates first and then the respective dwarf warrior nearby. After
clearing the room, use your minions to move both minotaur statues. One of them
will open the gate to your left (North side).

Go through the left gate and get 2 gold chests. Have your minions start taking
the 3 dwarf warriors out while you run ahead to take the dwarf gate out. A
good strategy against dwarves is to have red and blue minions - when the red
minions attack, the dwarf will be defensive at which point your blue minions
can gang up on them. Run past the Dwarf Bomber to destroy the other dwarf gate.

Continue and kill the dwarf on the lower level as well as the dwarf gate. Use
your red minions to take out the dwarf bomber and then go past the flames to
turn the Wheel and extinguish them. Carefully go across the grates by yourself
to destroy the dwarf gate (you can do this without alerting the 3 dwarf
warriors). Have your minions attack the dwarf warriors while you destroy the
other 2 dwarf gates.

Ignore the statue for now and go East through the tunnel and use your minions
to turn a Wheel. Go back and have your minions move the statue. This will open
a gate on the South side of the previous room. Go through the newly opened
gate until you come to a room with 4 dwarf warriors ahead of you and 2 dwarf
bombers on the sides. Run past the dwarves and destroy the 2 dwarf gates on
the left and the right before dispatching the other dwarf warriors. Use your
red minions to turn a Wheel within the fire and your blue minions to get the
Statue and the gold chest in the water.

Two objects will move to reveal a Blood Pit on your right and a new path on
your left. Take the path on your left and use your minions to turn the Wheel.
Backtrack all the way back and use your minions to open the large gate. Go
forward and your minions will open a chest containing the dwarf envoy
disguises. Kill the remaining dwarf warriors, get the gold chest, and use your
minions to get *Forge Upgrade 2*.

[ODL2M] Quest 11: Grenville's Pals
*******************************************************************************

Infiltrate the Elf Hot Houses
-----------------------------

Teleport to the Verdant Valley Altar waypoing gate and take the SouthWest path
to get to the Sentry. They will open the gate leading to the Hot Houses.

Destroy all of the Lotus Flowers
--------------------------------

On your left are the minion gates; on your right is the Hot Houses Entrance
waypoint gate. Have some blue minions and mostly green minions. Ahead of you
in the grass is 4 Bind Weeds. Destroy the first Lotus Flower, get the gold
chest, and move on. Send some green minions to attack the Stalker while you
and the rest of your minions attack the next Lotus Flower. Kill the flytraps
and get the gold chest on your right. Have your minions move the object to
form a bridge.

Kill the flytraps and get *Spell Relic #8* (Transmogrify) near the minion
gates in this area. You are now at the Hot Houses Midpoint waypoint gate and
will soon see a cut-scene with the elves. When you get to the area with
enemies, go to the far side to destroy the elf gate first and work your way
back to destroy the third Lotus Flower and the Stalker behind it. There will
be another Stalker and the fourth Lotus Flower nearby (if you need to, use
petrify or transmogrify on the Stalker to give yourself time). Have your
minions get *Blood Relic #5* and a gold chest (on the middle path at the South
end).

At this point you may want to have more blue minions. Run past the Stalker in
the pond and destroy the next Lotus Flower - there are many Bind Weeds in the
grass near the flower so take care of them as needed. When that is finished,
kill the Stalker and have around 10 blue and 8 green minions.

In the next area, kill a bunch of Bind Weeds at the entrance to the grass.
Have your greens attack the Stalker while you and the blue minions destroy
the Lotus Flower in the water. Ignore the next Stalker and other enemies and
have everyone attack the final Lotus Flower.

Defeat Erasmus
--------------

This area is divided into two parts by the tree trunk path in the middle.
As soon as Erasmus charges you, guard marker your green minions in front of
you. While they ambush Erasmus, take your blue minions on the center tree
trunk path, and guard marker them past the water on the other side. Look back
at your green minions. When they have taken Erasmus' health down far enough,
he will teleport to the other side. Move the guard marker to intercept him
because he will be regaining his health. This same pattern will keep happening
with Erasmus usually teleporting diagonally to the opposite side until you
deliver the final blow (which is why you have two groups staying on each side
where Erasmus will teleport).

There are 2 gold chests on the western side up a trunk path.

Elf Envoy Costumes
------------------

Go NorthWest for the chest containing the Elf Envoy costumes and the Hot
Houses Erasmus' Nest waypoint gate as well as *Minion Relic #5*.

[ODL2N] Quest 12: Gerda's Boys
*******************************************************************************

Use Elf disguises to get into Widget's Workshop
-----------------------------------------------

Teleport to Hammerstone Gorge. Go around to the Sentry and he will let you
into Widget's Workshop.

Find Widget
-----------

This is Widget's Workshop waypoint gate. As soon as you get to an open room;
run out the door past the enmies and to the open door on your left, destroying
any dwarven warriors that follow you. You will be able to go left or right.
To the right is a dead end with some beetles if you need life force. Go left.
There are 3 more dwarven warriors and 1 dwarf warrior that comes from behind.
Use Red minions to smash the Dwarf Generator and pick up *Blood Relic #6*.

Go back to the open room and run to the next door on your left, killing any
dwarf warriors that follow you through. Kill 2 Dwarf Warriors in the next
room and move on. Kill 1 dwarf warrior and go to the open door on your left to
destroy the next Dwarf Generator (if you loot some of these areas, they will
have Dwarf Warriors behind the boxes).

Go back to the open room and run through to open the final door on your left.
Defeat any dwarf that follows you through. Keep going until you come to a large
open room with a cut-scene: 4 dwarf warriors come out of 4 doors. Take the
fight to the dwarves and after you kill them another cut-scene will show 2
dwarf warriors blocking the path where you came in. Defeat these 2 dwarves to
open the door to Widget's Test Lab.

Defeat Widget
-------------

Put any non-blue minion back in their respective gate and cross the water
making sure you have at least 4 blue minions. Go left and use your blue
minions to turn the Wheel in the water below to lower the bridge. Go over the
bridge and put all of the blue minions back, taking out all red minions.
Guard Marker your red minions at the edge of the upper level to attack Widget.
Recall 4 red minions and use them to turn the Wheel in the fire to lower the
next bridge. Then....wait...what is Widget's attack for enemies on the upper
level? Fire....red minions are immune to fire. So, basically, you can just sit
back and have your red minions slowly defeat Widget from the upper level.

If you want to get down and attack from ground level with different minions,
just lower the next bridge by getting 4 green minions to turn the Wheel. Then
you have access to all minion types and a path to the lower area. Widget runs
you over with an electrical attack on the lower floor.

Congratulations!

"And they all lived evilly ever after..."

This is a table put together comparing the types of weapons and how many hits
it takes to destroy an item or foe. The % will represent the percent of the
enemy's total hit points a single strike delivers. This is all approximate.
All of the weapons will kill a dark fairy in a single hit. Due to its flame
damage, only the fervid axe can destroy bales of hay.
