The Wii plus adapter?

Is the Wii plus adapter required for SMG2? If it is not, can it be used? If it can, does using it provide any additional benefits beyond the regular controller experiance?

You don't need it, and if you have it, it won't make any difference.

As others before have said, Wii Motion Plus is not required. However, according to a Gametrailers.com review of Galaxy 2, it claimed that Nintendo may have secretly made the default Wii Remote as sensitive as the Wii Motion Plus and is not sharing it with other developers.
