Short game?!

I heard this was very good... It's out in the U.S.A, but I live in Europe so I still have to wait one more week..
But i've seen video's and it looks really.. weird.
The levels and the fact that there are only 2 stars per level seems like the game is really short. Is this true?
Also, would you recommend this? I don't like frustrating games..

The difficulty is good. If you've played past 3D Mario games you won't have a problem with this one. As for being it short, it depends. There's alot of stuff to unlock, including extra stars besides the regular ones.

The Galaxies of SMG2 do indeed have very few Stars to find...at first...

Once you've collected 120 Stars, the next 120 will appear. These Green Stars do NOT have hints on the location, so you'll either have to do a ton of trial and error or consult an FAQ.

Some Galaxies have a high "GRRRAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Factor" to them, but they are challenging for a reason. Even then, the rest of the game is pure fun. Several portions even include past 3-D Mario Platformer portions (such as FLUDD-less areas of Sunshine, portions of SMG1, etc.), but not the entire level (except for the Throwback Galaxy, from SM64).

Recommendation - Get this game ASAP!!!

Each galaxy starts with only 2 stars, but you can unlock more eventually, such as the hidden stars (stars that are...hidden in one of the two other levels), the Prankster Comets stars (a comet appears and changes the rules of a level, like for example making it a speed run, making you beat it without taking damage, etc), and once you get all the first 120 stars, you unlock other 120 green stars, which are hidden in all the galaxies, so for each galaxy there are at least 4 stars, and if that's not enough, once you get all the 240 stars, you unlock another galaxy. Beside all that, you can also collect Comet Coins which are hidden in all the galaxies.

So no, this game isn't as short as you may think ;)

In regards to length, the game is structured so that progress is simply a matter of collecting enough stars to pass certain checkpoints. The main game can be beaten with just 70 stars, but there are 120 stars to collect. If you want to do that. Furthermore, collecting all 120 stars allows you to unlock what is basically a giant scavenger hunt that allows another 120 stars. If you want to do that. Furthermore, again, collecting all of THOSE stars unlocks one final, challenging level, where you can collect 2 more stars. Again, if you want to do that. In short, the game can be pretty long or short depending on which you want.

I recommend that everyone should at least try this game. It's pretty darn good in my opinion. As far as difficulty goes, as long as you make a point of learning the game in the earlier, easier challenges, you should definitely be prepared for the harder challenges it throws at you later on.
