Yoshi Star Galaxy
Galaxy Description: Yoshi Star Galaxy, as evident from the name, is Yoshi's home and is where Mario first meets Yoshi. Enemies encountered in this galaxy include: Piranha Plants, Smeeches, Flipbugs, Magikoopas, Octoombas, Lakitus, and Spinys.
Saddle Up with Yoshi
On to our second galaxy now, the Yoshi Star Galaxy! When you land, go straight, avoiding the Piranha Plants until you get to the bouncy platform. Jump on the bouncy platform up to the next part of the planet. However, when you get there, you will find that Yoshi's egg is trapped inside a bubble with a Magikoopa guarding it! Defeat the Magikoopa to unlock the bubble. Jump on top of or spin Yoshi's egg to free him. From Yoshi's location, go left and then forward. You will see a small hill with a large bush on top of it. There is a bouncy platform on the other side of it. Jump on the bouncy platform, then get on top of the bush and jump for the galaxy's Comet Medal! After grabbing the Comet Medal, go straight. Do not worry about Yoshi being slowed by the mud, he can walk through it just fine. Follow the mud path. At this point you may realize that by pointing the remote at an enemy or fruit and then pressing B, Yoshi can eat the enemy. Try that out if you want on the fruit at the beginning of the mud path. Once you get to the grassy part of the planet, use the teleporter if you want, then move on, following the path. When you get to the giant fruit, grab it with Yishi's tongue and pull back with the control stick until the fruit disappears and a Launch Star appears. Take the Launch Star and while in the air, grab the many Star Bits coming out of the volcano. On the small planet that you land on, break the crystals by spinning until you find one with a Launch Star. Take the Launch Star. Follow the path, jumping up to other platforms when needed. When you get to the top of the mountain, you will see a floweer out hanging in space. Use Yoshi's tongue to grab the flower and swing ahead to the next planet. Then, use the Launch Star. Jump across the small gap and grab the checkpoint flag. Jump across the next gap and then use the flower to swing ahead to the next platform. Across the gap of the next platform, you will see a drawer-type thing. Use Yoshi's tongue to pull it out and travel across the gap. However, be quick as the drawer does not stay open for long. Use the flower to swing up and then use the moving platform to travel to the other side of the gap. Then use the moving platforms and flowers to ascend up to the spot with a Piranha Plant and more flowers to swing on. Follow the flowers up and you will see a Power Star encased in crystal. Hit the crystal 2 times to break it and then use the flowers up above you to get the Power Star.
Spiny Control
When you land, follow the path until you see Yoshi's egg. Grab Yoshi and then travel ahead and jump up to the next part of the galaxy. You will notice lots of Spinys and glass cases around. You will also notice that not onlt can Yoshi, put the Spinys in his mouth, and then spit them out at things like glass cases and enemies. Continue on, using the Spinys to break the glass cases to get Star Bits and coins if you want. Find the glass case that has the Launch Star in it. Use a Spiny to break the case open and then take the Launch Star. When you land, grab the checkpoint flag and continue straight ahead. Use a Spiny to break the glass case with the Luma in it. The Luma will travel over to you and transform into a Launch Star. When you land, use the first drawer to move up to the next platform with a Spiny and Lakitu. Pull the next drawer out, then grab a Spiny in Yoshi's mouth. Use the Spiny to break the glass case with the Launch Star in it and then take the Launch Star. When you land, use grab the checkpoint flag, use the flowers to swing up onto the platform and prepare for a boss fight with the King Lakitu! This is a fairly easy boss fight. Basically what you have to do is hit the Lakitu's cloud with a Spiny 3 times. Avoid the Lakitu's electric attacks and some of the Spinys that he throws at you. After he is hit 2 times, he will move around constantly, so aim your shots knowing that he is going to move. After you hit him 3 times, the Power Star is yours!
Spiny Rainbow Romp
(Note: Comet Medal required for this level. To play this level, you must have gotten the Comet Medal in Peewee Piranha's Temper Tantrum. If you get the Comet Medal, this level will appear later in the game.) This comet is a Romp Comet. That pretty much means that you have to defeat a certain amount of enemies in a certain amount of time. Just a warning: In my opinion, this is one of the most frusturating comets in the game. When you land, grab a Rainbow Star and start running around the area killing Spinys. When the Rainbow Star is about to run out, grab another one. If you defeat all 30 Spinys within 60 seconds, you win and the star is yours. It may take a few tries to win, but don't give up and you will eventually get it.
