| INTRODUCTION |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Xenoblade Chronicles, a Heart-to-Heart is a conversation between two
playable characters. Heart-to-Hearts further character development, and may
raise or lower affinity levels, depending on your conversational choices.
A Heart-to-Heart shows up on map screens as two holding hands. You must be in
that specific area to see the icon on the map. To view a Heart-to-Heart, you
must fulfill ALL these requirements:
(i) Complete the required gameplay event. This means some Heart-to-Hearts will
only be unlocked much later in the game (e.g. after rebuilding Colony 6).
(ii) Have the required affinity level between the two characters involved. The
affinity levels are, from lowest to highest: yellow, green, blue, purple,
and pink.
(iii) Have the two characters in your current party battle formation.
(iv) Sometimes, you have to trigger it at a certain time of day (e.g. day or
night).
All Heart-to-Hearts end with a giant pink heart. You can get two Achievements
from Heart-to-Hearts: Heartwarming (Have a Heart-to-Heart go as well as
possible), and Heartbreaking (Have a Heart-to-Heart go as badly as possible).
