Resume game?

My mom needs help resuming the game. She pressed start game but the game just started over. She also finished the game but she just wanted to find all of the parts for the machanical Goofy.

The game automatically starts a new game after you finish it, but SOME stuff still carries over.

It's just like film. If you save over another file, your original file will be gone
