Question from telysha
Game is too dark??
Is anyone else having issues with the darkness of this game or is it just me. Most of the time I cant see where im going I have to rely on the map to move around . Very frustrating!!! Its nothing at all like the videos review they posted, all nice and bright lol I have raised the brightness in the game option ( mind you it was already almost to the fullest) and brightness on my tv and nothing happened. I bough this game last night and im ready to bring it back today.
Thanks Sean, but I tried all that and still nothing.
So anyone else having troubles with the darkness?
All you guys can see where your walking and the room around you. I'm presently in the night club after finding the dude and i just gave up. I know some games are "darker" then others - I know I'm not playing Mario here -but damn this is ridiculous. I have played all other Bond games out there and none of them were like this. Thanks

I know how to fix this...
A while back I got the movie Eraserhead from Netflix, and it is a really dark black and white movie, but they teach you how to fix your TV before you watch it. It goes a little something like this:
TV's today have default brightness and contrast settings that are horribly wrong but make the picture look bright so you will want to buy the tv.
Here is how you fix it:
Go to your TV settings and go to contrast first. Usually contrast is up way too high. It needs to be only half way up. (eg; if it goes to 100 turn it to 50) Then start with the brightness around 65% and slowly turn it up until it is good (usually between 65 and 80%)
If you have the brightness on the game turned all the way up it will look a little washed out so you might want to dial the in-game brightness down a bit before you adjust your tv.
Enjoy...you now have your tv adjusted properly and everything you watch after this will look a lot better!

I don't find the game too dark. You can adjust the settings of the brightness in the options menu and you should be able to adjust the brightness on your tv as well. Video games typically need a brighter tv setting than movies.
In certain parts of the game you're required to use the Night-vision Goggles (by pressing the MINUS [-] button). Other than that, try adjusting your tv settings. Some levels are naturally dark, the Night club is one of those levels. Have you ever been in a night club? If they made it bright, it wouldn't look right. Also, since there are many dancing silhouettes, it makes it harder to see. I think that adds some depth and realism to the scenery, actually.
Some televisions also have different display modes. I have an older Sony Wega TV, and it has Standard, Vivid, Pro, and Movie modes. I had a lot of brightness issues with mine as well until I changed my TV from Standard to Vivid mode. I hope that helps!
Part of your problem may be your tv. Another issue could be a lack of the component cables for the wii. I played origninally with the standard red yellow white cord that accompanies the wii but ordered the component cables and noticed a massive increase in the clarity and brightness of the game (not just this one but all games).
I noticed the darkness was bad on some story mode levels but not too bad overall, but I did notice that it was really bad on most of the levels on multiplayer. Fortunately the room I play the game in is really dark as it is so I just make sure to turn off the lights in the room and get the brightness up on the game. Other than that there really isn't anything you can do game wise unless you have a different tv.
Try playing in a dark room without glare on the screen. If your TV has a game mode don't use it, this just cuts brightness and contrast.
I also find this game dark on my TV, but I've managed to work through most of the dark areas by looking through the Smartphone camera. It's not a perfect solution (you can't use a weapon at the same time & it blocks a lot of the screen), but it works in a pinch.
I'm surprised no one has brought this up. If you're playing the game on an LCD or any type of flatscreen television, and it appears too dark, there is usually a setting for black level or gamma level. (This is separate from ``brightness''). I didn't find the SP too dark, but certain multiplayer levels are much much darker. At that point I had to adjust my black level.
