    1.                           INTRODUCTION
    ========================================================================
    
      Hello and welcome to my FAQ/Movelist for the XBox game WWF Raw. The
    game's been out for awhile now, and there still isn't a complete moveset
    around, probably due to the fact that the game is pretty subpar. But
    it's not the worst wrestling game I've written about(ECW games anyone?),
    and it's not in Japanese so I don't have to translate anything, so I
    figured I'd finally knock it off the Request List after seeing it up
    there for so long. 
    
      The game actually isn't TOO bad. The graphics, controls, and sound
    are great(except for some of the models, Triple H for example...) but
    there's some serious flaws in the gameplay. The most glaring would be
    the lack of "psychology." No, I'm not going to get all nostalgic and
    rant about how elbow drops meant more in my day or anything, but it IS
    a bit stupid when you can hit Finisher after Finisher on someone and 
    they bounce right back up, except for the submission finishers of
    course. Plus, you'd think that if you have a finisher that hurts the
    neck/arms/legs that working on those body parts during the match would
    help finish the opponent off quicker once it's slapped on...but no. 
    There's no location damage or anything, which would've been nice.
    
      And that's really the whole feeling of the game, it's got so much 
    going for it, but there's all these little basic details that have
    become standard in wrestling games that this one is missing...It just
    coulda been more. That said, it's still a fun game for some frantic
    4 Player arcadey fun, and the Create a Wrestler mode is very well done,
    for a US wrestler anyway. So enough of my babbling, let's have some fun
    with what we've got!

    2.                            CONTROLS
    ========================================================================
    
    These are just the basics, I get more in-depth in the BASIC GAMEPLAY
    section, and even more in-depth in the MOVELIST section.
    
    D-PAD/L-STICK: Move wrestler, move cursor in menus
    A BUTTON:      Grapple, confirm in menus
    B BUTTON:      Various uses, back in menus
    X BUTTON:      Strike
    Y BUTTON:      Block
    L/R TRIGGER:   Change focus between opponents
    L+R TRIGGER:   Turn focusing on/off
    
    The R-STICK isn't used.

    3.                          BASIC GAMEPLAY
    ========================================================================
    
      If you're reading this, then you probably know what the wrestling game
    genre is all about, so I don't need to go into the whole point of 
    wrestling and all that hooha. You know the drill, uses strikes and 
    grapple moves to wear down your opponent enough to wear you can pin them
    for 3 Seconds on the mat. Well, sometimes you'll need to make the 
    opponent submit, or knock them out, but the basic premise is the same.
    Beat the hell out of the other guy until he can't take it anymore. In WWF
    RAW you'll be experiencing a more arcadey and loose side of the wrestling
    game genre, with some new features that can throw you for a loop if you're
    not used to them. First, we'll talk about the actual game screen:
    
    --------------------
    3-A. THE GAME SCREEN
    --------------------
    
      Naturally you'll have the two(or more) wrestlers. The ring is the main
    area where all the fighting takes place, you CAN leave the ring but 
    only for a short period of time in most modes. Near your wrestler at all
    times is a little Stamina Bar. When it's full, you're in good shape and
    feeling fine, but as you perform moves or have them performed on you
    the bar will drain. When it's completely empty you're the easiest to
    pin, or you'll hunch over and take deep breaths until it fills a little
    if you're standing. I guess this is to keep the matches from being all
    out slugfests...which doesn't really make sense since that's what you'd
    expect in an arcadey game, but I digress. Anyway, it'll fill up again
    over time, but you'll get weaker and weaker. The little box next to the
    Stamina Bar is like a heartbeat, when it starts blinking quickly you
    can be easily pinned, so watch out. The Stamina Bar and box will always
    be the same color as your corner.
    
      The Voltage Meter is the large bar on the very bottom of the screen,
    this determines who the crowd is cheering for. This is very important
    because you need the crowd cheering overwhemingly for you to make your 
    section of the Voltage Meter flash, allowing you to perform your 
    Special Moves/Finisher. As you beat on your opponent, your section of 
    the Voltage Meter will grow(certain moves make it grow faster) and grow
    until it finally starts flashing. This is the only time you can peform
    your Finisher/Specials, SO USE THEM WHEN YOU CAN!
    
      If the match is timed, the clock will appear in the upper righthand
    corner of the screen. If the time limit is reached, the match ends in a
    draw. If you're playing through the Championship modes then that means
    you lose. Bummer.
    
    ------------------------
    3-B. THE FIGHTING ENGINE
    ------------------------
    
      While most wrestling games use a Rock-Paper-Scissors type of system,
    WWF RAW only uses two: Strikes and Grapples. Strikes will always beat
    Grapples, but you can Block or Reverse Strikes.Also, wrestlers become 
    tired if they just keep on throwing out Strike after Strike after 
    Strike.
    
    
                                --STRIKES--
    
    
    
      The X Button is used for Strikes(punches, kicks, slaps, etc), and 
    each wrestler can have up to five different Strikes(though most of the
    stock wrestlers don't for some reason) by using the X Button with the
    D-Pad(up,down,left,or right) and just the X Button all alone. Some
    strikes are slower and more powerful, while some are quick and weak.
    You can also peform different Strikes in a variety of situations, like
    running at the opponent, those are all covered in the MOVELIST section.
    
      To Reverse a Strike, you have to hit the X and A buttons at the same
    time just as the opponent is going to hit you. This is great for 
    stopping Strike happy players in their tracks. But remember not to go
    overboard on Strikes yourself. The reverse even works(and works well)
    when you're lying on the mat, so if you're down and the opponent is
    about to kick/elbow you hit X+A at the right time to dodge the blow
    and get up quick.
    
      Every now and then, when the opponent is in a weakened state, the
    screen will blur when you connect with a Strike, this means that the
    opponent will probably become Groggy(see 3-C). IF you land a REALLY
    devastating hit, the screen will flash red and the opponent will roll
    around on the ground.
    
    
                                --GRAPPLES--
    
    
     The A Button is your Grapple button, it's usually not a damaging move
    in itself, but there are certain times when a Grapple will act as a 
    strike, like when an opponent is getting up slowly or falls against the
    ropes. But 99.9999% of the time the Grapple will, gasp, cause you to
    grapple with the opponent. Once you're grappling you have to hit another
    button and a direction to perform a move:
    
    A Button= Grapple moves (Suplexes, Body Slams, etc)
    X Button= Strike moves  (Headbutts, Knees, Eye Gouges, etc)
    B Button= Hammer Throw/Go Behind
    
      Again, you hit the D-Pad in a direction(Up/Down/Left/Right) along with
    the A/X/B Button to perform different moves. With the B Button, if you
    hit away from the opponent you'll Hammer Throw them into the ropes/
    corner, if you hit towards them you'll go behind them and be in a Back
    Grapple. When you're in a Back Grapple you only have 3 different moves
    per button: X alone, up/down+X, and left/right+X. 
    
      You have to be pretty close to the opponent to grapple with them. Once
    you're in a grapple, quickly input the command for the moves you want to
    perform. So, it'd be something like this:
    
    (A), up+(A)
    
      If you initiate the grapple you have the advantage, but your opponent
    can can get out of a move if they guess which move you're going to try
    correctly. When you grab them(or the opponent grabs you), they'll input
    a move command as well. If they choose a strike move and YOU choose a
    strike move, then they'll escape the grapple without the move being
    performed. Also, if the opponent picks the same attack and direction
    buttons as you, there's a chance they'll perform a move specific
    reversal that might damage you instead.
    
    ---------------
    3-C. FINISHERS!
    ---------------
    
      As you Strike and Grapple your opponent and gain favor with the 
    audience, your Voltage Meter will grow until it's flashing, once it's
    flashing you can perform your Finisher on a Groggy opponent. Your
    opponent is Groggy when they just stand there looking dazed, it doesn't
    last that long so run up and Grapple them ASAP. Once you're grappling
    a groggy opponent hit the A and B Buttons at the same time to perform
    the Finisher:
    
    (A), (A)+(B)
    
      All the wrestlers have a Special or Finisher from the Back Grapple,
    from the Turnbuckle, and on a downed opponent as well. You always hit 
    A and B together to perform the Specials/Finisher.
    
      So there you have it! Hopefully you have a better understanding of the
    mechanics behind this game.

    4.                           GAME MODES
    ========================================================================
    
    ---------------
    4-A. EXHIBITION
    ---------------
    
     Just like it says, this is a one-time match for some quick action.
    Select EXHIBITION from the Main Menu and you'll be greeted with these 
    choices:
    
    SINGLE MATCH      A straight-up 1 on 1 match, managers optional
    TAG TEAM MATCH    2 on 2 match with normal tag rules, managers optional
    TORNADO MATCH     2 on 2 match with no "tag" rule, no managers
    TRIPLE THREAT     1 on 1 on 1 match
    FATAL 4WAY        1 on 1 on 1 on 1 match
    BATTLE ROYAL      Defeat all 3 other wrestlers to win
    HANDICAP MATCHES  2-on-1 or 3-on-1 match
    
    Once you've picked your match you'll be presented with these options:
    
    GAME FORM    Normal or Hardcore(no DQ, no Count Out)
    TIME         10/20/30/60min or No Limit
    COUNT OUT    10/20 seconds or No Limit
    PIN          On/Off (A pinfall wins the match if ON)
    SUBMIT       On/Off (A submission wins the match if ON)
    ROPE BREAK   On/Off (Pins/Holds must be stopped if opponent is by ropes)
    DQ           On/Off (no weapons/manager in ring if ON or you lose)
    INTERFERENCE On/Off (other wrestlers will run into the match if ON)
    
    Now just pick the wrestlers you want and have fun!

    4-B. TITLE MATCH
    ----------------
    
      This is the main part of the game here, you have to defeat a series of
    wrestlers in order to get each title, you unlock a hidden wrestler for
    each one that you complete. You get 3 Continues in case you lose a 
    match.
    
    Select Title Match from the Main Menu and you'll be presented with these
    options:

    -Unlock Vince McMahon when you beat it
    
    INTERCONTINENTAL
    -10 Matches
    
    EUROPEAN
    -8 Matches
    
    HARDCORE
    -8 Matches

     King of the Ring is a single-elimination tournament, pick which kind
    of Tournament you want to have, set the rules, setup the brackets, and
    go at it! Your choices are:
    
    SINGLE TOURNAMENT
    TAG TOURNAMENT
    TRIPLE THREAT TOURNAMENT
    FATAL 4WAY TOURNAMENT

      Here you can creat your own wrestler, I'll just list the basics 
    because it's pretty straightforward:

                      -Each move is judged by it's attack strength and 
                       damaging effect. They're ranked from S for the best,
                       then A-F. If the move can injure the opponent the INJ
                       box will be checked.

    4-E. MUSEUM
    -----------
    
     Check out some pics and bios of the wrestlers, along with all the 
    weapons you've unlocked so far. When you pick MUSEUM you're 
    presented with these choices:
    
    SUPERSTAR BIOGRAPHIES
    
                A quick rapsheet on all the wrestlers in the game, whoopee.
    
    WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT
    
                A list of all the items you've picked up during matches.
    
      To unlock items you either need to break the boxes, and tables, and
    whatever else around the ring, or knock them off of people when 
    they're on their way to the ring(Entrance Interference). To get an
    item in your list you HAVE TO PICK IT UP! Here's the items, starting from
    page 1 and moving horizontally from left to right. Note that I cheated a
    bit and looked up a few of the items I was missing in the official guide.
    I got some weird looks as I was scribbling stuff down in my little note-
    pad in Best Buy, oh well, it was worth it, hah.

    from S for the best, then A-F. Some items can get you DQ'd if you use
    them in the ring, these items will have a check in the DQ box.

      Uhhh, these are the options...just like it says. Not much explanation
    needed really. So...yeah. Pick options and you'll have these choices:

    5.                           MOVELIST
    ========================================================================
    
      So here it is, the main portion of the guide, all the moves to all the
    wrestlers. First there's the KEY so you know what all the symbols mean,
    then there's the quick list of all the wrestlers, then the movelists of
    all the wrestlers. I basically just used the template from the Create a
    Wrestler mode, then just went through with every wrestler in an untimed
    VS match and did all the moves. I've just used the move names that the
    game uses for the most part, but sometimes the Puroresu nerd in me takes
    over, so you may seem the same move referred to a couple different ways.

      The Next Revision will have some minor additions to a couple sections,
    and also fix any errors there may be in the movelist. I wanted to get
    this version out since the moves were all done, any other changes will
    be minor. I might add a FAQ section if the need arises, otherwise I'll
    update a couple times and that'll be that.

    FAQs I've written help you in some way, or allow you to enjoy a game 
    more than before, or maybe just get a good read out of it. 
    
      If you have any questions about this game, or any other I've 
    written a FAQ for, feel free to drop me an E-Mail. BUT keep in 
    mind a few things:
    
    1. Please don't ask when the next revision will be out, or if I 
    can send it to you, or if I can help you with a part not covered in the
    FAQ yet.  I don't really have a set schedule for these things, and you 
    can pick up the FAQ(s) at GameFAQs. 
    
    2. Please don't ask about something already covered in the FAQ. 
    Usually once a FAQ comes out I'm swamped with E-Mails and skip 
    ones that are covered in the FAQ. 
    
    3. Don't mail asking for codes, I don't have a Gameshark or keep 
    track of cheat codes or anything.
    
      Other than that, I try to answer every single E-Mail I get and 
    am usually pretty good at getting back to people quickly, but 
    sometimes I lose letters in my computer or forget to keep them as
