"Jump in line for the ride."
Roller Coaster Tycoon was a PC game. Now, the Xbox version is just as good.
Some minor flaws make this game excellent. You own your own theme park! You have only a few scenarios to go through before more open up. How it works is that you complete a level, and they give you a level. Each level has objectives, but who says you need to follow the objectives? You can fail the mission without suffering anything, so if your new, feel free to figure out what you want to do.
You need to tend to your guest needs. This means food, drinks, bathrooms, and rides of course. Guest will complain if they are not satisfied. A happy guest means they will see your park high in value. Meaning you can move your entrance price up. You also have employees. Security gaurds, mechanics, and handymans are your important empolyees. Security gaurds hold the order, so your guest will steal. Mechanics keep your rides alive, Handyman clean your park from trash and puke.
Your rides range from diffrent types. Coasters, gentle, water, thrill, and transportation are the important types. Each guest has their own likes and dislikes. Some will see gentle rides boring. Others may fear coasters. So having a nice range of rides will keep your park alive and thriving. Your rides will age. People will be bored with old rides. You can renew them with a new paint job and they will like it again!
These graphics are decent. There is no real horrible graphics, but it could've caught up with the times. The zoom is really bad.
Excellent. Your guest make noise, and your park is louder with more of them. You also can have music played from your rides. A nice addition.
A good conversion from keyboard and mouse. Easy to learn controld too.
Rent or Buy?
It depends on you. Rent it at first, if your addicted, buy.
Its a good game. You'll spend hours perfecting your parks. Not to mention your rides. If you like money AND theme parks, this game is for you.
