==============================================

In my opinion, Drake of the 99 Dragons isn't 100% unplayable. There
are lots of glitches, but they don't completely ruin the game. This
is a guide on how to beat the game from beginning to end.

4.	Basics
==============================================

How to play the game.

----------------------------------------------
4.1	Screen Layout
----------------------------------------------

At the top-right corner of the screen is the time you have
left to complete the mission you are in. You will get additional
time in a few missions as you go through them.

At the bottom-right corner of the screen you will see Drake's
two hands and guns. The numbers next to each gun represent the
amount of ammo in them. When a gun runs out of ammo, Drake drops
it on the ground and pulls of a new one with full ammo. You have
unlimited guns at your disposal once you've obtained that type in
the mission. You start each mission with only the Semi-Automatic
Pistol. About the guns is where you'll see which weapons you can
use after selecting to scroll through them.

At the bottom-left corner of the screen is the Soul Power Meter
and Drake's health. The green in the meter is power you can use
to slow down and stop time. It is also required to detonate
souls. It drains steadily when slowing down time or detonating
souls. It drains a set amount when you freeze time. Some power
will be restored when Drake consumes a soul. Drake's health
decreases when he is hurt. The maximum amount of health drake can
normally have is 99. If Drake's health reaches 0, he will be sent
to the Serene Garden. If Drake consumes enough souls his health
will go over 100 and slowly drain back to 99.

----------------------------------------------
4.2	Souls
----------------------------------------------

Starting at mission four, Drake can see and eat his enemies'
souls. There are three types of souls with different effects when
consumed.

Green Souls- Drake gets these from defeating his enemies. They
slowly float up until they disappear. You can make them float to
Drake by holding the White Button. You must be holding the White
Button when an enemy is defeated or when the soul is generated
for this to work. Greens souls give Drake 10 points of health and
refills some of the Soul Power Meter.

Red Souls (lost souls)- Drake should avoid these. They automatically
home in on Drake, but can be avoided. They take away 5 points of
health from Drake. These usually only appear when Drake or enemies
shoot certain objects.

Blue Souls- These are only part of mission objectives. They don't
do anything special (aside from healing 10 points of health) and only
need to be collected.

----------------------------------------------
4.3	Random Information
----------------------------------------------

Starting Mission 5, whenever Drake dies he will go to the Serene
Garden. From there a ten second countdown will start. The Stone
gods will taunt Drake until the timer hits zero, and Drake will
than get to try the current mission again.

After jumping, Drake can run up walls for a short time. He can
also jump while running on a wall and start running on another
wall (He can do this up to 3 times).

When Drake slows down time, he, his enemies, and environmental
objects slow down. When Drake freezes time, everything remains
practically still.

Drake automatically aims his guns at his nearest enemy (or
enemies). This auto-targeting system works well against small
amounts of foes, but when there are many enemies around Drake, it
can be problematic. The auto-targeting won't target far away
enemies.

Between every mission is a cutscene that advances the story. I
recommend that you watch these, but they can be skipped.

After a certain point of the game, Drake can release the Undying
Dragon from the tattoo on his chest. This can only be done when
Drake's health is above 100. The Undying Dragon does MASSIVE
damage to whatever is in front of it, including enemies and
objects.

After completing a mission, you will be asked if you would like to
save. I recommend saving whenever possible.

All supernatural abilities Drake possesses are earned by completing
missions.

To get new weapons, run to the bubbles enemies drop when defeated.
You can tell what weapons are in these bubbles just by looking.
Sometimes these are already in the mission.

In some missions, Drake must collect keycards to open locked doors.
Keycards are shown next to Drake's health/soul power. There are
three types of keycards- red, green, and blue.

If a mission objective requires Drake to collect a certain amount of
souls, a counter in the top-left corner of the screen will show
how many souls Drake has collected.

You can destroy many objects you see. Objects that explode when shot
will damage enemies and drake.

Because the game lacks a reload button, the only way to reload a gun
is to run out of ammo and have Drake pull out a new one. If you are
low on ammo and are about to enter a fight, fire off a few shots to
reload the guns you are using. You don't want to have to reload
in combat, unless you plan on visiting the Serene Garden.

Finally, and trust me on this, NEVER detonate souls. It is a waste
of health and soul power, and it almost never kills other enemies.

==============================================
5.	Weapons
==============================================

Here are the weapons Drake will get to use throughout the game.

*********************
Semi-Automatic Pistol
*********************

Max Ammo: 17
Rarity: Drake always has these
Power: Good
Firing Rate: Great

My Opinion: A good weapon, but I prefer the constant fire of the
machine guns or the power of other weapons over this.

********
Revolver
********

Max Ammo: 6
Rarity: Somewhat rare
Power: Great
Firing Rate: Decent

My Opinion: Not a good weapon. The default weapon bests this, so
there really isn't any use for this.

***********
Machine Gun
***********

Max Ammo: 32
Rarity: Common
Power: Bad
Firing Rate: Automatic (Excellent)

My Opinion: A good weapon. Use it unless you have access to the
Sub-Machine Gun or the Force Gun.

***************
Sub-Machine Gun
***************

Max Ammo: 32
Rarity: Rare
Power: Decent
Firing Rate: Automatic (Excellent)

My Opinion: A great weapon, but it's rare.

***********************
Double-Barreled Shotgun
***********************

Max Ammo: 2
Rarity: Rare
Power: Excellent (only at close range)
Firing Rate: Good

My Opinion: Only use this at close range. At far range, it's
accuracy and power are terrible. At close range, this gun will kill
even bosses with few shots.

*********
Force Gun
*********

Max Ammo: 23
Rarity: Somewhat rare
Power: Excellent
Firing Rate: Good

My Opinion: The best weapon in the game. Use is whenever you can.

************************
Bouncing Grenade Launcher
************************

Max Ammo: Infinite Ammo
Rarity: Very Rare
Power: Excellent (can hurt Drake)
Firing Rate: Bad

My Opinion: Trust me, this is the worst weapon in the game. Drake
will often kill himself by using this. If you still want to use
this weapon, note that grenades bounce off walls and take 3 seconds
to explode. Drake will take heavy damage if a grenade explosion hits
him.

********************
Soul Portal Artifact
********************

My Opinion: Not a weapon, but since it appears in the weapons
screen I'm listing it here. Look at Mission 24 to see how to use
this.

==============================================
6.	Walkthrough
==============================================

How to beat the game. I will also list any enemies and hazards
you will see in each mission. Here is how to use this guide:

Name: Mission name
before Drake dies
Goal: The goal of the mission
Hints: Hints the game gives for completing missions.
Walkthrough: The walkthrough for the mission.

Note that you are free to switch weapons at any time unless
otherwise told by the walkthrough. I will NOT be listed which
enemies drop which weapons, as it is usually evident through
which attacks they use. Some weapons can even be found within
the levels, but with the exception of small missions I won't list
their location as I would have to go out of the way in the middle
of a walkthrough to list the location, and the weapons almost
never make a difference because the Semi-Automatic Pistols will
usually do the trick.

----------------------------------------------
6.1	Mission 1
----------------------------------------------

Name: Introducing a Killer
Goal: Follow the instructions as they appear on screen to
complete the tutorial mission.
Enemies: None
Hazards: None
Mission Difficulty: 0/10

NOTE: You will not play this mission if you select new game
without tutorial.

Walkthrough: Since this is the first mission in the game,
there is just about no way you can lose. This mission is
just used to teach the basics of the game. You will first
see a message:

Welcome you to the Kwoon of a 99 Dragons

This is an automatic message that doesn't require pressing
the A button to close it. You then get another message:

Use the controls to move Drake in the Kwoon. (Press "Jump" to
start)

Continue and you will get this message:

Go over to the pair of revolvers and pick them up.

There is an arrow pointing to the Revolvers. After you do
that you will get another message:

You now have a pair of revolvers in your inventory and a
pair of pistols in your hands.

Cycle the inventory and select a revolver. Press left or right
"fire" to equip it in that hand. Try it out!

Equip the Revolvers (or not, it doesn't matter), and you will
get another message:

When you find a gun, you'll have an unlimited number of that
type of gun available.

So, when a gun runs out of ammo you'll drop that gun and equip
a new one.

Soon after you will get another message:

Stand next to the button on the wall illuminated in green. Shoot
the 4 targets that appear along the opposite wall.

Stand next to the button on the wall illuminated in green. After
you do that, four targets will appear. After they appear you get
this message:

Shoot out all targets!

Shoot them all of the targets until they turn black (the
auto-targeting will lock on to them). You will get another message
afterwards:

Well Done!

You have the ability to jump unnaturally high. First jump and than
jump again while airborne to increase the height of the jump. Try
it out!

You will get a message after that one:

Collect the 5 glowing orbs above you.

Try double jumping in different direction by using the Left-,
right-, forward- and backward controls.

Double jump to collect the orbs. After you do that, you will get
another message:

Well done!
Stand next to the button on the wall illuminated in green. The
interactive training pillars will soon activate. Avoid the infrared
beams. Collect 4 banners to succeed this mission. If you get hit 4
times you have to restart...

Stand near the button on the wall which will be illuminated in
green again. This will activate infrared beams. Avoid the beams by
jumping (and not jumping) and collect the four banners that are
located in the corners of the room. If you are hit four times by
infrared beams, you will have to try again (just the banner
collecting, nothing else). After you do this you will get another
message:

Well done!
Prepare to engage a Tang Cyborg training partner!

After this message you will complete the mission.

----------------------------------------------
6.2	Mission 2
----------------------------------------------

Name: Honing your skills
Goal: Defeat the Tang Industries cyborg.
Bosses: Tang Cyborg
Hazards: None
Mission Difficulty: 1/10

*********************
BOSS: Tang Cyborg
Strength: High
Health: High
Speed: Medium
Attacks: Punches
Strategy: Just stay away from it and it won't hurt you.
Difficulty: 2/10
*********************

NOTE: You will not play this mission if you select new game
without tutorial.

NOTE: The Tang Cyborg in this mission has roughly double the
health of normal Tang Cyborgs, along with double the attack
power.

Walkthrough: This mission is far too easy. Just run around
keeping a small distance away from the cyborg and shoot.
This mission will be over in no time at all.

----------------------------------------------
6.3	Mission 3
----------------------------------------------

Name: Chasing ghosts
Goal: Don't lose track of the Ghost Assassin! Hit the
checkpoints before the time's up.
Hints: Try to keep up with the Ghost Assassin or risk getting
lost, losing valuable time.
Enemies: Ghost Assassin Robots, Ghost Assassin
Hazards: None
Mission Difficulty: 2/10

NOTE: This is where you will start if you selected New game
(No Tutorial)

*********************
ENEMY: Ghost Assassin Robot
Strength: High
Health: Very Low
Speed: Medium
Weapon Dropped: Sub-Machine Gun
Attacks: Punches, Sub-Machine Gun fire
Strategy: Stay a distance away from it to avoid it's punches.
Kill it quickly to avoid the powerful and quick shots from it's
Sub-Machine Gun.
Difficulty: 2/10

ENEMY: Ghost Assassin (1)
Strength: None
Health: Invincible
Speed: High
Attacks: None
Strategy: It won't attack you and you can't hurt it.
Difficulty: 0/10
*********************

Walkthrough: The first real mission of the game. From the start, head
through the doors, and once they open start shooting to take down two
Ghost Assassin Robots or risk major damage. You will get a time boost
when you go through the doors. Head left through more doors while
shooting to take down a Ghost Assassin Robot and earn more time. Head
forward through more doors and you'll get another time boost.

Move along on the ledge until the Ghost Assassin knocks over some
bookcases. Some doors ahead will reveal two Ghost Assassin Robots, so
shoot them. Jump over to the ledge to your right, careful not to fall.
Go through the door and you'll get another time boost. A Ghost Assassin
Robot will fall from the ceiling. Shoot it and move on forward. Go
through the door for another time boost and head right, than left (not
down the stairs), shoot the Ghost Assassin Robot who comes out from
behind the door and left and up the stairs.

Shoot the Ghost Assassin Robot when you get to the top. Proceed until
you reach the door. After you go through it and another that follows
immediately after, turn the camera to the left and shoot two Ghost
Assassin Robots that come out from behind another door. Head right (not
down the stairs) twice (you'll get a time boost) and go through the door
while shooting to kill two Ghost Assassin Robots. Look up the left set
of stairs and kill the Ghost Assassin Robot there. Go up either set of
stairs, through the door, and approach the Ghost Assassin to complete
the mission.

----------------------------------------------
6.4	Mission 4
----------------------------------------------

Name: Death in person
Goal: Claim 30 souls for the Undying Dragon.
Hints: Claim the soul of a slain enemy before it fades. You may have
to run up walls and/or "double jump" to reach some of the souls.
Enemies: Ghost Assassin Robots
Hazards: None
Mission Difficulty: 1/10

Walkthrough:

NOTES: You do not have to follow this walkthrough exactly to finish this
mission. There are many souls in this mission. This is only the quickest
way I got through the mission.

A short while after starting the mission you will get this message:

You now have the supernatural ability to run on walls.

To run on a wall, jump up on it from a distance.

After that message, run into the doors behind you quickly and get
out fast (there are two Ghost Assassin Robots there and it isn't easy
to fight them both at once). Two Ghost Assassin Robots will soon run
out, so kill them as they appear and collect there souls. Go back
into the room and collect the five souls inside (some souls require
you to double jump or run up walls to get them), making your soul
count 7. While collecting souls in the room, a message will appear.

You now obey supernatural laws of time, and have the ability to go
into slow- and freeze motion When your soul power meter is charged.

Charge the meter by collecting souls!

Run out of the room and collect the soul in the hallway. Make a left
into the white door (the black doors in this stage cannot be
entered). Collect the two souls in the hallway and head through the
door. Make a left, collect the soul over the pit (try not to fall
down there) and continue through the white door closest to the soul
you just collected. In the next room, collect the soul in the air
and fall down.

Climb up the stairs and collect the two souls you see. Go back to
where you fell and wall-run back up. Go through the door you saw when
you entered the hallway for the first time and enter the area with blue
carpeting. Go right and stop near the top of the set of stairs you will
see (the ones going downwards). Double jump to the soul and go into a
door near the stairs that will take you up. Go forward, Kill a Ghost
Assassin Robot to the left, collect the soul it leaves, and enter the
door to the left.

Collect the four souls in here, bringing you soul count to 20. Enter the
left door that is furthest through the hallway. Run down the hallway and
enter the door. Kill the Ghost Assassin Robot quickly and collect it's
soul and the soul above it. Jump through a window (it will break
automatically) and quickly kill the two Ghost Assassin Robots inside and
collect their souls, raising your soul count to 24. Go back through the
window and through the door you didn't come from. Go down the hallway
and approach either of the two doors on the sides of the bottom level of
this room. A Ghost Assassin Robot will emerge. Kill it and collect it's
soul.

Approach the other door and collect the soul from that Ghost Assassin
Robot as well. Wall-run up onto the walkway above you and enter the door
that leads into the room with the blue carpeting. Make one right and two
lefts (not down the stairs) and collect the floating soul. Run up the
stairs and run up the wall to another soul. Continue left three times and
go through two doors. Stand on the top of the second set of stairs and
jump into the small area containing two souls. Collect the souls to end
the mission.

----------------------------------------------
6.5	Mission 5
----------------------------------------------

Name: Dead, but full of life
Goal: Trail the Courier and Artifact. Hit the Checkpoints before the
time's up.
Hints: Shoot the Courier and track the trace of blood. Try to keep up
with the Courier or risk getting lost, losing valuable time.
Enemies: Courier, Ghost Assassin Robots
Hazards: Buses, Cars, Exploding Crates, Canopies
Mission Difficulty: 2/10

*********************
ENEMY: Courier
Strength: Very Low
Health: Invincible
Speed: Very High
Attacks: Machine Gun fire
Strategy: The Courier will attempt to run away from you. Follow him to
get through the mission. The Courier is much faster than Drake, so this
will be difficult. Shoot the Courier to make a trail of blood that you
can follow. The courier will often wildly shoot around with his
Machine Guns, but your risk of actually getting hit is pretty low. Due
to glitches in the game, the Courier will often get stuck in objects,
doorways, or walls. The mission you are in can be completed even if
this happens.
Difficulty: 1/10

ENEMY: Civilian
Strength: None
Health: Very Low
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: None
Strategy: Civilians are perfectly harmless and won't hurt you. You can
kill them, however.
Difficulty: 0/10

HAZARD: Cars (When moving)
Info: Try to avoid getting hit by moving cars. Anything they hit will
be heavily damaged. If shot enough, they will explode. When they
explode, anything nearby will be heavily damaged. Cars will stop
for other stopped cars or cars that are destroyed.

HAZARD: Cars (When not moving)
Info: If shot enough, cars will explode. When they explode, anything
nearby will be heavily damaged.

HAZARD: Buses (When moving)
Info: Buses pull out of alleys quickly. Anything they hit will be
heavily damaged.

HAZARD: Exploding Boxes
Info: Some boxes in the game will explode when shot. When they
explode, anything nearby will be heavily damaged.

HAZARD: Canopy
Info: You can stand on canopies, but they will collapse in a few
seconds.
*********************

Walkthrough: From the start, head a little forward and kill the Ghost
Assassin Robot behind the red bus. Wait where the Ghost Assassin Robot
you just killed was and car will drive in quickly, and two Ghost
Assassin Robots will come out from it. Kill them and move forward until
you spot an alley to the right. Kill the Ghost Assassin Robot inside
and move to the left wall by the food stands and kill the Ghost
Assassin Robot nearby.

Keep walking along the wall and a bus will pull out of the alley. If
you are standing near the wall, you won't get hurt by this. After the
bus pulls out, move to the wall on the opposite side of the street.
Walk along it and another bus will pull out. After it does, go where it
used to be and kill the Ghost Assassin Robot there. Now head towards
the Courier who is more likely than not shooting at you. Shoot and
chase after him. When you reach the stairs, you will receive a time
boost.

Go up the stairs, up the stairs to the left, make a right and enter the
left door. After you get a time boost, run up the stairs (being careful
not to fall off) while shooting the Courier. Enter the first door you
reach (it will have a 1 above it) for a time boost. Continue through
the room and go through the first door you see. Run forward through
the walkway (you can kill the Ghost Assassin Robot on the roof of the
door you just exited if you want to) and through the door for another
time boost. Keep going forward and make a left and than a right into
the door. Shoot the Courier who is waiting for you and run up the
stairs and through the door for a time boost.

Make your way towards the right side of the balcony and jump
on the set of black wires slightly ahead and then onto the canopy
nearby. Let it collapse under you. You will fall onto another canopy.
After that canopy collapses, you will fall onto another canopy. Stay
as close to the wall as possible when you land on it. After that
canopy, you will land on the sidewalk (or if you were on the edge of
the canopy, the road were Drake will get killed quickly). Run along
the sidewalk and make a left down an alley, up some stairs, and
through a door.

After going through the door, go up the staircase and go through the
first door you reach. Go through either of the two doors you will see
for a time boost, but stop after you enter the room. Some crates will
explode, destroying the floor. You will need to run along a wall,
jumping from time to time to the opposite wall and back to the
original wall the until you reach solid ground. After you get across
the giant hole, run down the stairs and through the door. Run down
the alley, make a slight left and a right up another set of stairs to
finish the mission.

NOTE: If the Courier ever gets stuck in an object or wall, you can
still complete this mission following the walkthrough normally.

----------------------------------------------
6.6	Mission 6
----------------------------------------------

Name: Firing it up
Goal: Trail the Courier and Artifact. Hit the Checkpoints before the
time's up.
Hints: Beware of the explosive environment! Try to keep up with the
Courier or risk getting lost, losing valuable time.
Enemies: Courier, Firework Factory Employee (FFE), Ceiling Firework
Factory Employee (CFFE)
Hazards: Exploding Crates, Fireworks, Electrical Wires
Mission Difficulty: 3/10

*********************
ENEMY: Firework Factory Employee
Strength: Medium
Health: Low
Speed: Low
Weapon Dropped: Machine Gun
Attacks: Machine Gun fire
Strategy: The Firework Factory Employee basically just shoots at you.
Due to a glitch in the game, they will sometimes keep moving/shooting
even after they are killed before they disappear and their souls are
made available to collect.
Difficulty: 3/10

ENEMY: Ceiling Firework Factory Employee (CFFE)
Strength: Medium
Health: Low
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Machine Gun fire
Strategy: The Ceiling Firework Factory Employee pops out of a door from
the ceiling and shoots at you. They can only aim horizontally, not
vertically.
Difficulty: 1/10

HAZARD: Fireworks
Info: These are either pre-set off or are activated by Drake (or an
enemy) shooting them. If they explode near or on someone or something,
whatever is hit will take minor damage. There are fireworks that
launch strait up into the air and back down and fireworks that travel
strait through the air.

HAZARD: Electrical Wires
Info: Only activated after Drake or an enemy shoot electricity outlets.
Electrical cords inside will come out and swing around wildly, severely
damaging anything they contact.
*********************

Walkthrough: From the start of the mission, just stand and shoot. Your
auto-targeting will take care of two Firework Factory Employees. If
you go forward first, you will quickly perish due to exploding crates.
After any explosions and killing the two Firework Factory Employees,
move forward, collect their souls, and go through the door. Go forward
and a bunch of crates (metal and explosive) will burst out into the
hallway. Shoot the Courier who is running away. Also kill the Firework
Factory Employee in the little room you can't access.

Continue through the hallway and kill the Ceiling Firework Factory
Employee who pops out above you (don't try to collect the soul he
releases) and go through the door. As soon as you go through the door,
kill a Firework Factory Employee to your left and collect his soul.
Head right onto a metal walkway connecting the two sides of the room
and walk across it. Kill the two Firework Factory Employees here and
collect their souls. Look into the center of the room. Once one of the
wooden platforms starts to go up, jump onto it. When it goes up one
floor from where you previously were, jump onto the side of the room
with a giant 1 next to a door.

Kill the Firework Factory Employee to your left and go through the
door (some crates will burst out when you get inside). Once inside, go
up the walkway, make a left, make a right, kill the Ceiling Firework
Factory Employee and collect his soul, and go through the door. Once
you go through the door, kill the Firework Factory Employee to your
right, and collect his soul. Kill the Firework Factory Employee on the
metal walkway and the one on the floor behind him and collect their
souls.

Jump onto a wooden platform once it comes up, and ride it down one
floor. Jump onto the floor with the door on it and kill the Firework
Factory Employee and collect his soul. Run through the door and kill
the two Firework Factory Employees on the ground and collect their
souls. After doing that, kill the Firework Factory Employee on the
metal walkway above and wait for a few seconds. There will be an
explosion. When this happens, the mission will be completed.

----------------------------------------------
6.7	Mission 7
----------------------------------------------

Name: The wake up call
Goal: Trail the Courier and the Artifact. Dispose of anyone that
stands in your way and claim their souls for the Undying Dragon.
Hints: Beware of the lost souls as they'll hurt you!
Bosses: Pok
Enemies: Courier, Gunman, Civilian, Jetpack Gunman, Dragon Beast
Hazards: Exploding Drink Vases, Red Soul Containers (Red Souls), Glass
Mission Difficulty: 6/10

*********************
BOSS: Pok
Strength: High
Health: High
Speed: High
Attacks: Dual Machine Gun fire
Strategy: Pok, the first boss of the game, should sort of be handled
like a Gunman. He drains your health fast with his two Machine guns
which he never stops firing. Just keep shooting him and hopefully
you will kill him.
Difficulty: 8/10

ENEMY: Gunman
Strength: High
Health: Low
Speed: Medium
Weapon Dropped: Machine Gun
Attacks: Machine Gun fire
Strategy: Just like the Firework Factory Employee, but a little faster
and shoots more often.
Difficulty: 4/10

ENEMY: Jetpack Gunman
Strength: High
Health: Low
Speed: Fast
Attacks: Machine Gun fire
Strategy: Just like the Gunman, but flies in the air in a jetpack.
Difficulty: 5/10

ENEMY: Dragon Beast
Strength: Extremely High
Health: Low
Speed: High
Attacks: Pounce
Strategy: For an unarmed enemy, these things are very dangerous. Kill
them from a distance.
Difficulty: 8/10

HAZARD: Exploding Drink Vase
Info: Drink Vases, which Civilians drink from that explode when shot,
causing massive damage to whatever is nearby.

HAZARD: Red Soul Containers
Info: Red Soul Containers are red tubes that, when shot, release red
souls. See the Basics section for info on Red Souls. After being shot,
Red Soul Containers will become covered with metal (when shot while
covered with metal, Red Soul Containers won't release Red Souls) for
a short while.

Hazard: Glass
Info: When shot, whether by Drake or an enemy, glass will break.
*********************

Walkthrough: Shortly after starting the stage, you will receive a
message:

You now have the supernatural ability to motivate souls to pull
towards you when you slay a foe.

Go through the door between the two potted plants. Kill all of the
enemies in here (there are simply too many enemies in this small room
to list precise locations, but the enemies in here are just Civilians
and Gunmen) until the room is quiet (some enemies are on the floor above
you). Once the room is quiet, go to the area of the room where there are
arrows pointing up a wall. Shoot the glass above the wall with the arrows
and run up the wall and through the door.

Run up the walkway and then up either of the two walkways after the first
walkway, and finally up a third walkway. Stop going up before you reach
the floor of glass and kill the two jetpack gunman and draw in their souls.
Quickly walk onto and than off of the glass. When shots are fired and some
glass is broken, fall into the room and kill all of the Gunmen there and
collect their souls. Go to the area of the room with lots of bottles and
jump onto the circular metal platform with the arrows pointing to it. Ride
it up to a new room.

Once it stops, go after the Courier who is standing near a door. Go after
him and he will run through the door, closing it behind him. When this
happens, three Dragon Beasts and Pok, the first boss of the game, will
jump down from platforms above you. Quickly kill the Dragon Beasts and
draw in their souls. To defeat Pok, stand away from him (His dual Machine
Guns really hurt your health), keep moving and shoot him, all while trying
not to shoot the Red Soul Containers (If you do shoot them, DO NOT get hit
by a Red Soul. Not only will you get damaged from that, but Pok will also
get free shots at you). After you kill him, the mission will end.

to pick them up. They are needed to open certain doors.
*********************

Walkthrough: You start out in front of a small shed. Go left from
there towards the huge building. Kill the Casino Thug on the walkway
ahead of you and draw in his soul. Continue to the right and kill the
Shotgun Biker and the Machine Gun Biker from a distance and collect
their souls. Go to where they were (near the motorcycles). Look up and
kill the Casino Thug above you and draw in his soul. Go across the
bridge nearby and make a left. Continue forward as far as you can and
make a right.

Go forward a little and kill the Casino Thug to your left and collect
his soul. Continue forward until you can go no farther and make a right.
Continue forward and enter the door you will eventually see to your
right. After going into that door, go into the door to the right.
Continue forward and go through the door to your left. Make a left and
than a right and go into the second door in the hallway to your right
(You can go into the first door to your right and kill a Tough Casino
Thug if you need health. Run out quickly if he starts shooting). Once
inside, kill the two Casino thugs, collect their souls, collect the
Green Digital Keycard, and exit the room THE WAY YOU CAME IN (Going
into the other room practically means instant death due to the crazy
number of enemies in there).

Two lefts and a right into the door. Go up the two sets of stairs,
killing the Swordlady and collecting her soul in the process. Enter the
door at the top of the stairs (Green Digital Keycard required). Go right
and kill the Swordlady who is running towards you to the left and collect
her soul. Go down the hallway and enter the door to the right (the music
will change). In this room, draw in every soul. Run up the stairs and kill
the Casino Thug and Gunlady to your right. Now kill the two Casino Thugs
to your left and continue through the room. Kill all of the Casino Thugs
and Tough Casino Thugs you encounter. Collect the Blue Digital Keycard
by the doors at the end of the room (They can't be opened).

Exit the room. After exiting the room, make a right and than a left and go
through the door (Blue Digital Keycard required). Once again, draw in
every soul. Kill everyone (a few Casino Thugs and a Swordlady). Look
around for the Red Digital Keycard. Once you find it, exit the room. Make
a right, run forward until you can go no farther, make a right, and go
through the door. Make a right and go down the two sets of stairs. Exit
the room through the door farther from the start of the first set of
stairs (the one that leads you to the room with grey wallpaper, not red).
Go through the door strait ahead of you (Red Digital Keycard required). Go
down the stairs and through the door.

Go forward and make a right. Go forward and kill the Casino Thug as soon
as you can and draw in his soul. As soon as you reach the end of the hall,
make a right. Go forward and kill the Casino Thug as soon as you can and
draw in his soul. Once you reach the end of the hall, make a left. Go
forward until you reach the end of the hall. Make a left and go through
the hole in the wall. Kill the Casino Thug to your right and collect his
soul. Go forward and to the left. Kill the Casino Thug to your left and
collect his soul. Go through the door to encounter Tung and the Tied Up
Courier. Lure Tung out of the room and shoot him from a short distance
away until he dies. Once Tung dies, the mission will end.

----------------------------------------------
6.9	Mission 9
----------------------------------------------

Name: Death on Wheels
Goal: Defeat the bikers protecting the House of the Dreaming Cloud.
Hints: Shoot the fuel barrels and they'll explode.
Enemies: Machine Gun Bikers, Shotgun Bikers, Biker Pairs, Biker Car
Hazards: Exploding Barrels, Wrecking Ball, Motorcycles, Trucks,
Crates, Cars
Mission Difficulty: 4/10

*********************
ENEMY: Biker Pair
Strength: Medium
Health: Medium
Speed: Very High
Attacks: Running into you, Machine Gun fire
Strategy: This enemy on a motorcycle is actually two Machine Gun
Bikers in one (meaning you get 2 souls for killing them). Just
think of them as fast gunmen which Drake shouldn't touch (touching
them, even from behind, will damage you).
Difficulty: 6/10

ENEMY: Biker Car
Strength: High
Health: High
Speed: Very High
Attacks: Running into you, Machine Gun fire
Strategy: Basically a car with Machine Gun Bikers hanging out
windows that shoot at you. Doesn't release a soul when defeated.
Kill it from a distance. The Machine Gun shots from the Bikers are
very inaccurate. The real danger of fighting it is getting hit
by the car itself.
Difficulty: 3/10

HAZARD: Wrecking Ball
Info: At one point of the mission it will knock down a gate for you.
If you get hit by it, Drake will take 40 points of damage.

HAZARD: Trucks
Info: Another car like object, except it is a lot bigger and can't
be destroyed.

HAZARD: Crates
Info: Crates that don't explode but are simply destroyed when shot.
*********************

Walkthrough: Start by going to your right. A truck will pull out and
open its back door, revealing two Machine Gun Bikers and a Shotgun
Biker. Kill them all and collect their souls. From where the truck
is, head left and go to the big gate. Keep the gate open until a
Biker Pair comes through. Kill them and collect their souls. Go
through the gate and kill the Shotgun Biker on the small building to
your right (you will have to jump to do this) and draw in his soul.
Kill the two Biker Pairs riding around and collect the four souls
they release. Kill the Shotgun Biker shooting at you from a wooden
platform and draw in his soul.

Continue forward and some crates will fly out (non-explosive crates,
don't worry). Destroy them all and go towards the gate. Quickly touch
it and RUN in the opposite direction fast. A wrecking ball will smash
the gate open. Go through the gate and a Biker car will pull out and
ride around in circles. Run left to the left towards a thin platform
with explosive crates and two Shotgun Bikers. Kill the Shotgun Bikers
and collect their souls. From the platform, shoot the Biker Car until
it explodes. Go through the mechanical door ahead from where you
entered. Kill the Machine Gun Biker inside and collect his soul.

Go though another mechanical door and go forward until the truck
pulls away. Four Biker Pairs will come riding down the alley, so kill
them all and collect their eight souls. Go left (stay towards the
right side of the road) A Biker Pair will burst out from some crates
on a wooden platform, so kill them and collect their souls. Go
forward until you see a truck with an open back door. Get into the
back of the truck quickly. A truck will come down the road fast and
break open a previously closed gate. Go through the gate (it is on
your right after exiting the truck) and kill the two Shotgun Bikers
on the small platform ahead of you and collect their souls. Go right
from there and kill another Shotgun Biker and collect his soul. Kill
the Biker pair to your right and collect their souls. Go to the right
from the platform toward a closed gate to complete the mission.

----------------------------------------------
6.10	Mission 10
----------------------------------------------

Name: The last laugh
Goal: Defeat Ossu to pursue Serpent-Eye and Pok at the House of the
Dreaming Cloud.
Hints: The swirling chains will create an impassable shield that'll
stop your bullets. Make use of the environment to beat Ossu.
Bosses: Ossu
Enemies: Machine Gun Bikers, Shotgun Biker s
Hazards: Exploding Barrels, Oil Spills, Oil Containers
Mission Difficulty: 8/10

*********************
BOSS: Ossu
Strength: Low
Health: Medium
Speed: Medium
Attacks: Chain attack, Chain shield
Strategy: Ossu will use a weak, close-range chain attack. The only
thing difficult about him is that he is usually invincible. To make
him vulnerable, simply have him walk under the gas station roof. His
chain will get stuck, making him immobile and vulnerable for a short
amount of time. You'll probably be able to kill him quickly, unless
enemies attract the auto-targeting.
Difficulty: 5/10

HAZARD: Oil Containers
Info: If you shoot an oil container, an oil spill will be created
nearby.
*********************

Walkthrough: Ossu is usually invincible (his spinning chain protects
him. To beat him, all you have to do is lure Ossu under the gas
station roof, wait until his chain gets stuck, and shoot away until
he dies. You will have to repeat that process a few more times, though.
Once Ossu is dead, the mission is over. Keep in mind that there are
many enemies around the area (too many to list), and some are even on
top of the gas station roof. Kill any enemies that come close to you
and collect their souls, but generally you won't want to approach them
unless you are DESPERATE for health.

///////////////////
ALTERNATE STRATEGY
///////////////////

If you want to get the mission over quickly but at a greater risk of
being killed, you can follow this strategy. Simply kill one of the
many Shotgun Bikers around the mission, collect a Double-Barreled
Shotgun, equip two Double-Barreled Shotguns, and kill Ossu as normal.

----------------------------------------------
6.11	Mission 11

Mission Difficulty: 7/10

*********************
BOSS: Mutated Pok
Strength: High
Health: Medium
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Electrical field, Electrical strike
Strategy: Pok is actually easier than he was last time. He will
stand up on a high walkway, and if you approach him you get
zapped by electricity and die instantly. Pok will have an infrared
beam coming out of him which will move around slowly. If you make
contact with it, you will be zapped by electricity for about 25
points of damage. He is usually invincible. To beat him, you must
destroy all of the Odd Machines on the walls of both sides of the
room. After you do that, stand up on any of the room's platforms
and shoot him a few times.
Difficulty: 5/10

ENEMY: Serpent-Eye
Strength: None
Health: Invincible
Speed: Medium
Attacks: None
Strategy: All that Serpent-Eye will do is run away from you.
Ignore him.
Difficulty: 0/10

ENEMY: Revolver Gunman

Health: Low
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Heavy gunfire
Strategy: A Casino Thug that will sometimes hide behind a table.
Difficulty: 6/10

HAZARD: Odd Machines
Info: Odd machines are in the room where you fight Pok and must
be destroyed to make him vulnerable. To destroy them, shoot them
a few times. However, they explode when shot, so shoot them from
a distance.

HAZARD: Explosions
Info: Explosions that happen at a set point in the mission. Don't
go near them, obviously.
*********************

Walkthrough: Once you start the mission, stand still and a
message will appear:

You now have the supernatural ability to motivate souls to
detonate when you slay a foe.

Move forward a kill the two Dragon Beasts that warp into the
room and collect their souls. Go into the next room and kill all
of the enemies there (there are simply too many enemies in this
small room to list precise locations, but the enemies in here are:
Hiding Casino Thugs, Revolver Gunman, Serpent Eye, and Casino
Thugs). Proceed through the door on the wall by running up the wall
and into the door. Run up the staircase, turn around, and run up
two more staircases. Fall down into the small area below and
IMMEDIATELY jump back from where you fell, because two Dragon
Beasts will rip you to shreds if you don't. Kill the two Dragon
Beasts and draw in their souls.

Proceed towards the circular metal table, but DON'T jump on it. An
explosion will take place. Jump up the debris left by it, and
prepare to face a mutated version of Pok. To kill him, you must
first destroy the 8 odd machines low on walls around the room. But
before you do that, kill the 3 dragon beasts in the room and collect
their souls. After destroying the Odd Machines and killing the
Dragon Beasts, head up to one of the two elevated platforms close to
Pok. Shoot him until he dies. After killing Pok, and explosion will
occur and the mission will end.

Strategy: Just stay away from it and it can't hurt you.
Difficulty: 2/10

ENEMY: Grenade Cyborg
Strength: Extremely High
Health: Medium
Speed: Medium

fire grenades. Unlike most enemies, they should be killed up close,
where they are least dangerous.
Difficulty: 7/10

ENEMY: Factory Worker
Strength: Low
Health: High

Strategy: Factory Workers have big blades, but due to a glitch in
the game, Drake takes damage WAY after they make contact, so they're
easy.
Difficulty: 3/10

ENEMY: Factory Spearman
Strength: Medium
Health: High
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Shoot spears
Strategy: Factory Spearmen are very inaccurate will their spear-shooting,
so they aren't a threat at any distance.

Difficulty: 0/10

HAZARD: Fire
Info: Fire that hurts to touch. It sometimes moves.

HAZARD: Cans
Info: Stacks of cans that collapse if stood on.
*********************

Walkthrough: Start the mission by centering the camera. Go forward
while staying along the left wall. Turn the camera to the right and
shoot at the two Factory Workers to get their attention. Once you see
the auto-targeting lock onto them, kill them and draw in their souls.
Continue along the left wall until the Factory Gunman starts shooting
at you. Kill him as quickly as possible and draw in his soul. Next,
kill the Factory Spearman near the albino orca and collect his soul.
Jump onto the albino orca and jump in between the gap in the two
platforms and onto the platform to the left. Kill the Factory Spearman
on this platform and collect his soul and the Green Digital Keycard
near him.

Fall of the platform you were on and go through the door near the
albino orca (Green Digital Keycard required). As soon as you open the
door, a Factory Worker will run after you, so kill him and collect his
soul. Go through the door and kill another Factory Worker to the right
and collect his soul. Run up a wall and jump onto the platform above.
Kill the two Factory Workers here and collect their souls. Collect the
Red Digital Keycard as well. Fall off of the platform and enter the door

exited from and jump onto another platform above that one. Kill the
Grenade Cyborg here and collect its soul. Collect the Blue Digital
Keycard on this platform and go to the door you entered this room in.
Approach the wall in front of it (Blue Digital Keycard required), and it
will open up, revealing Serpent-Eye, Banshee, and the Artifact, and the
mission will end.

6.13	Mission 13
----------------------------------------------

Name: Waking the Dead
Goal: Locate the body of your Master before the Undertakers leave the
building. Dispose of anyone that stands in your way and claim their
souls for the Undying Dragon.

them from a distance.
Difficulty: 2/10

ENEMY: Force Gun Undertaker
Strength: Very High
Health: Medium
Speed: Medium
Weapon Dropped: Force Gun
Attacks: Force Gun fire
Strategy: Quite possibly the hardest enemies in the game, as they use
the Force Gun, which takes of 25 points of Drake's health per hit, AND
it fires at an above-average speed. If you can kill them, you can
pick up the Force Gun and use it yourself, which you would be crazy
not to do.
Difficulty: 10/10

ENEMY: Jetpack Ninja
Strength: Low
Health: Medium
Speed: Medium
Attacks: Fire missiles
Strategy: Jetpack Ninjas are pretty easy. Their missiles aren't
too damaging. You can shoot the missiles to make them explode (the
explosion from destroying the missiles won't hurt you), but this is
hard to do.
Difficulty: 5/10

HAZARD: Undertaker Trucks
Info: Basically the same as a normal truck; it can't be destroyed.

HAZARD: Elevators
Info: Elevators that can be entered or stood on which will take you
up or down. Sometimes they collapse and fall to the ground.
*********************

Walkthrough:

NOTE: Drake's appearance will be slightly different this mission.

Start by approaching the door. Once it opens, wait for the two
Force Gun Undertakers to start firing at you. Retreat back into the
room so the doors close. Wait a few seconds and open the door again.
WITHOUT exiting the room, Kill the two Force Gun Undertakers before
they kill you and draw in their souls. Exit the room and kill the
Undertaker to you left and collect his soul. Collect the Force Gun
and equip two of them to Drake. Run forward and than go left and up
the stairs. Make a left and enter the elevator ahead of you.

After about 20 seconds in the elevator, the light will flicker and
a door on the roof of the elevator will open. Jump out to the left
and get onto solid ground. Kill the Jetpack Ninja and draw in
his soul. Jump across the gap and onto more solid ground. Wait for
the elevator to come up and jump onto it. Rotate the camera so
that you are looking towards the area you just left. After the
elevator lowers, walk onto the pipes with the arrows on them.

Wait a while and a Jetpack Ninja will appear. Kill him and
collect his soul. Jump onto the elevator ahead of and below you.
When it stops lowering, jump onto the hook of the collapsed elevator.
Rotate the camera towards the opposite direction again and wait for
another Jetpack Ninja to appear. Kill him and draw in his soul.
Jump off of the hook and onto an elevator in the distance when it
appears. Kill another Jetpack Ninja that will appear and draw
in his soul. Rotate the camera toward the opposite direction
again.

Hop into the elevator with the open roof when it appears. Move
towards the door in the elevator. When the door opens, go down the
hall. Make a right but stop before the hall opening. Run out the
opening and QUICKLY run back in. Two Force Gun Undertakers will
come out, so kill them and collect their souls. Go back out the
opening and go left down the hall and through the door.

Go forward until you see arrows on the ground. Run out to the
area to the left and quickly come back in. Kill the Force Gun
Undertakers that follow you and collect their souls. Exit the
area again and make two rights. Go forward until a Force Gun
Undertaker starts shooting at you. Retreat the way you came and
hide behind the truck. The Force Gun Undertaker will probably
stop coming towards you, so go back to him and kill him and
collect his soul.

Go forward until you reach another truck. Go between it and the
wall and stop when you see a taxi. Go past the truck and go back
if you hear shots from a Force Gun Undertaker. Wait for him to
come to you and kill him and collect his soul. Go past the truck
again towards the taxi. Kill the nearby Undertakers and collect
their souls. Approach the odd truck near the taxi and it will
drive away. Go the way it went through what looks like an exit
and the mission will end.

Robot Undertaker coming towards you. The back of a parked Undertaker
Truck will open as the Robot Undertaker comes towards you, but ignore
that for now. Kill the Robot Undertaker and draw in his soul. Approach
the Undertaker Truck until an Undertaker comes out. Kill the Undertaker
and collect his soul. Approach the back of the Undertaker Truck and
QUICKLY kill the Force Gun Undertaker and collect his soul. Afterwards,
equip two Force Guns.

Worker in front of you, and kill another Big Factory Worker behind you
(draw in both of their souls). Move the camera until you can see a
Robot Undertaker. Approach the Robot Undertaker, kill him, and collect
his soul. Continue forward through the door with the green light above
it.

Inside the giant room are a bunch of doors and Jetpack Ninjas.
Run forward and wait at the door until the light above it turns green
(dodging missiles in the process) and enter it. Kill the Big Factory
Gunman inside, collect his soul, and go through the door nearby. Run
forward and wait at the door until the light above it turns green
(dodging missiles in the process) and enter it.

Run forward, and when you reach the end of the walkway, jump above the
second set of fans, float to the third set of fans, and than float to
the nearby platform. Kill the Grenade Lady here, and the mission will
end.

Mission Difficulty: 9/10

*********************
BOSS: Master Cyborg
Strength: High
Health: Very High
Speed: Low
Attacks: Fire missiles, Slashing attack
Strategy: The Master Cyborg will only use the slashing attack if you
are nearby. Otherwise, it fires missiles at a quick rate. Keep your

Difficulty: 7/10

HAZARD: Toxic Fumes
Info: Fumes that will hurt Drake if he makes contact with them. They
are emitted by pipes in the center of the are you are in during the
mission.
*********************

Walkthrough: As soon as the mission starts, some nearby barrels will
probably explode and damage Drake (this is almost unavoidable). After
that, run forward, around the white line on the ground, and kill any
Big Factory Gunmen you see (afterwards, draw in their souls). After
all of the Big Factory Gunmen are dead, move the camera until you see
the Master Cyborg. Shoot the Master Cyborg until it dies, avoiding
missiles in the process (make sure not to approach the Master Cyborg,
as it will respond with a slashing attack). After the Master Cyborg
is killed, the mission will end.

6.16	Mission 16
----------------------------------------------

Name: The Mastermind
Goal: Enter Tang Towers through the sewers without activating more
than 3 alarms.

tactic use of your slow- and freeze motion abilities to avoid the
alarms. Run up walls to avoid alarms.
Enemies: Security Guards, Guard Dogs, Male Ninjas, Female Ninjas

so just kill them normally.
Difficulty: 2/10

ENEMY: Guard Dog
Strength: Medium
Health: Low
Speed: Medium
Attacks: Pounce
Strategy: Guard Dogs will be following Security Guards unless they
spot Drake. Guard Dogs don't release souls when defeated. Due to a
glitch in the game, the hits from Guard Dogs rarely register, making
them almost no threat at all.
Difficulty: 1/10

ENEMY: Male Ninja
Strength: Medium
Health: Medium
Speed: High
Attacks: Sword slashes, Kicks
Strategy: Take them out normally. They only appear if you activate
an alarm.
Difficulty: 3/10

Attacks: Gunfire
Strategy: Take them from a distance. They only appear if you activate
an alarm.
Difficulty: 6/10

HAZARD: Train
Info: If you get hit by the train, Drake will be killed regardless of
his current health. When it is destroyed, it releases 6 souls.

HAZARD: Alarm
Info: Looks like either an infrared beam or a spotlight. Activate
three of these and you will have to start the mission over.

HAZARD: Mine
Info: If Drake steps on a mine, it will explode and Drake will take
about 30 points of damage.

HAZARD: Control Box
Info: A box that controls an infrared beam for one of the alarms. It
will explode when destroyed, causing about 30 points of damage to
Drake.

HAZARD: Control Board
Info: A box that will make the train crash if it is destroyed. It
explodes when destroyed and causes about 30 points of damage to Drake.

HAZARD: Fire
Info: Fire that comes out of a broken pipe and damages Drake.
*********************

Walkthrough:

NOTE: If you activate four alarms, the mission will end and you will
have to start over.

Stand still when the mission starts. A message will
appear when the train passes by:

You may unleash the wrath of the Undying Dragon when the Tattoo
flashes red.

When the train finishes passing by, run onto the tracks (follow the
arrows) and into a small area on the left. After the train passes by,
run onto the tracks, make a left, and go into a small area on the right
and kill the Security Guard there and collect his soul. After the train
passes again, go onto the tracks, make a right, and go into another
small area on the right and kill the Security Guard there and collect
his soul. After the train passes again, get onto the tracks again, make
a right, and jump onto the area to the left with the Security Guard.

Kill the Security Guard and collect his soul, than go into the door in
the area you are currently in. Kill the Security Guard and Guard Dog
in here and collect the soul of the Security Guard. Shoot the Control
Board (It in the flat thing that gets targeted) so it explodes. Exit
the room you are in and hold down the White Button (to draw in souls).
Approach the tracks and the train will crash, releasing six souls.
Draw the souls in. Go through the hole in the train and in the wall
and fall through a hole with arrows pointing towards it.

Once you fall through the hole, you will reach the first security
system. For the first set of infrared beams, just stay on the ground
and avoid them. For the second set, get on one of the two ledges on
either side of the sewer water. See how the two infrared beams separate
and come back together? Jump in the middle of the two infrared beams
when they separate, and jump over the infrared beam you will be facing
when it comes back toward Drake. After avoiding the alarm system, run
down the tunnel and through the door.

NOTE: If you activate this alarm, two Male Ninjas and one Female Ninja
will appear from openings in the ceiling when you approach the door.

After going through the door, you will reach the second security
system. Just run along the ground until you reach the fence.
Afterwards, jump up onto the ledge by the door at the point the
infrared beam doesn't reach. Jump up again to the area with the door
and go through the door.

NOTE: If you activate this alarm, two Female Ninjas will appear from
openings in the ceiling when you approach the door.

After going through the door, you will reach the third security system.
The room contains a bunch of mines, a pipe spewing fire, and a
moving spotlight. Run along the wall close to the door but away from
the pipes. Turn the camera so you can see an opening by the spotlight
leading to a tunnel. Avoiding the spotlight and mines, jump to the
opening and go through the door inside.

NOTE: If you activate this alarm, two Male Ninjas and one Female
Ninja will appear from openings in the ceiling when you approach the
door.

Run over the pipe and go through the door. After going through
the door, you will reach the fourth security system. Run forward and
turn the camera to the right so you can see all of the infrared beams.
Jump over the first infrared beam, run under the three close infrared
beams, jump over two close infrared beams, run under two more
infrared beams, jump over an infrared beam, run under an infrared
beam, jump over an infrared beam, run under an infrared beam, make a
right and go through the door.

NOTE: If you activate this alarm, two Female Ninjas and one Male
Ninja will break through the glass roof in this room.

After going through the door, you will reach the fifth security system.
Fall down off of the ledge, and turn your camera to the right. Wait
for the infrared beam in front of Drake to rise, and run under it.
Run up to the mines. Wait for the infrared beam above the mines to
rise, and then jump over the mines. Wait for the infrared beam in
front of Drake to rise, then run under it. Run up to the mines. Wait
for the infrared beam above the mines to rise, and then jump over the
mines. Make a left and go through the door.

NOTE: If you activate this alarm, two Male Ninjas and one Female
Ninja will appear from openings in the ceiling when you approach the
door.

Go through the short tunnel and kill a Security Guard to the left
(sometimes to the right) and collect his soul. Go through the opening
to the left of the way you entered this area, entering the next security
system. You now can do one of two things:

///////////////////
METHOD 1
///////////////////

You can jump up to the ledge above, trying to avoid the spinning
infrared beams. This is the quicker but more dangerous method.

///////////////////
METHOD 2
///////////////////

You can stay on the ground and enter one of the many openings. Kill
any Security Guards you find inside (collect their souls) and destroy
any Control Boxes you see. After you destroy all of the Control Boxes,
enter the room where the infrared beams were. They will all be gone,
and you can jump up the ledge above safely.

NOTE: If you activate this alarm, two Male Ninjas and one Female Ninja
will break through the glass roof in this room.

Enter the door on the ledge above the ledge you are on (you may need
to run around to find it). Kill the two Security Guards and the single
Guard Dog inside and collect the souls of the Security Guards. Turn
your camera left and jump onto one of the walls bordering the mine pit.
Run across the wall (jumping if necessary to the opposite wall),
landing on a ledge across the mine pit, and the mission will end.

Mission Difficulty: 7/10

*********************
BOSS: Banshee (2)
Strength: Medium
Health: High
Speed: Medium
Attacks: Shoot ninja stars
Strategy: Banshee is by far the easiest boss in the game. Due to a
glitch in the game, her ninja stars almost never damage you, making
her pitifully easy to defeat.
Difficulty: 1/10

ENEMY: Machine Gun
Strength: Medium
Health: Medium
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Machine Gun fire
Strategy: Always appear in pairs of two. They shoot fast, but are
inaccurate. Take them out from a distance.
Difficulty: 7/10

ENEMY: Big Cyborg
Strength: Medium
Health: High
Speed: High
Attacks: Punches, Charging attack, Fire missiles
Strategy: A bigger version of the Cyborg that can also fire missiles.
Difficulty: 8/10

HAZARD: Giant Fan
Info: A bigger version of the fan.

HAZARD: Big Machine
Info: Big Machines that explode when shot. If Drake is nearby when they
explode, he will take 55 points of damage.

HAZARD: Electric Current
Info: An electric current that guards a door and appears in sets of four.
Drake will be slightly damaged if he touches one.
*********************

Walkthrough:

Jump onto the elevator directly ahead of Drake. Proceed to jump onto a
wall and then jump in a passage above (you can't miss it). Walk slowly
to the edge of the passage until you can see a Jetpack Ninja. Kill him
from your current location and draw in his soul. Try to jump down onto
the wall you can see in the passage (if you land on the floor, Drake
will take damage). Go right until you reach another ledge, and kill the
Jetpack Ninja in the same way you did the last and draw in his soul.

Walk off of the ledge. There is a giant fan below. Get through the
opening near the bottom of the room you are in. You will be in a similar
room with another Jetpack Ninja. Kill the Jetpack Ninja and draw in his
soul (this may be hard to do). Go through another opening, this time
near the top of the room. Walk forward and destroy the two Machine Guns
in here. Collect the Machine Gun in this room and equip two of them
(they are a great help in an upcoming boss fight).

Go through the door. Kill the Jetpack Ninja in the HUGE fan area (don't
fall in) and draw in his soul. Jump left through the frame and go through
the door. Kill the two Jetpack Ninjas in here and draw in their souls.
Float to the door in here and go through it. Run up the stairs and across
they walkway. Jump through the frame into the next room and kill the two
Jetpack Ninjas as soon as possible, drawing in their souls afterwards.
Look around until you see a door on a wall guarded by electrical currents.
Jump towards the door when the electrical current is in this position:

After getting through the door, kill the two Jetpack Ninjas in here and
draw in their souls. Go through the door and kill the two Guard Dogs,
the Security Guard, and the three Jetpack Ninjas and draw in all of their
souls. Enter the door, kill the two Big Cyborgs and collect their souls.
Enter the next room to be greeted by five Big Cyborgs and Banshee. Run
around the big machine in the center of the room shooting at the Big
Cyborgs until they all die. You can then proceed to kill Banshee as
slowly as you want. Due to a glitch in the game, it is almost impossible
for her hits to register. After Banshee dies, the mission ends.

Mission Difficulty: 5/10

*********************

front because of the bulletproof barriers they shoot behind.
Difficulty: 8/10

ENEMY: Tang Patrolling Device
Strength: Low
Health: Invincible
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Gunfire
Strategy: The headlight you see throughout Mission 18 belongs to the

will shoot at you. Simply stay out of the headlight to avoid damage.
Difficulty: 5/10

HAZARD: Barbed Wire
Info: Barbed Wire lines the top of some fences and damages Drake on
contact.
*********************

Walkthrough:

NOTE: There are many paths that all lead to the end of the mission. I am
writing about the path that I find best.

Run down the road (the one you that looks longer, the other road has an
invisible wall) avoiding cars until you see the parked Undertaker truck.
Kill the two Force Gun Undertakers inside, draw in their souls, and equip
two Force Guns. Approach the Barbed Wire near the pink sign. Jump over
the Barbed Wire by running up a nearby wall and jumping over it. Run
STRAIGHT to the stairs down this alley, or be blasted by Gunner Undertakers.

Straight up the stairs. Don't stop running straight until the Gunner
Undertakers stop shooting. Kill them and collect their souls. Jump back
onto the area you probably fell off of, and climb up the BIG set of stairs.
Jump onto the sign with the arrows nearby, and then jump onto the ledge.
Approach either of the armored windows and they will open. Jump through a
window, kill the two Gunmen inside, and collect their souls. Follow the
hallway to an outside area to complete the mission.

6.19	Mission 19
----------------------------------------------

Name: Saving the dead

Undying Dragon, there are 6 of them kept in blue tubes. Locate the elevator
that leads to the heart of the morgue.
Enemies: Gunner Undertakers, Force Gun Undertakers, Undertakers, Robot
Undertakers, Machine Gun
Hazards: Hanging Crates, Exploding Crates, Bodies
Items: Digital Keycards, Blue Soul Container
Mission Difficulty: 11/10

*********************
HAZARD: Hanging Crate
Info: An explosive crate hanging on long support beams. Shooting it causes
it to fall. If Drake is caught in a hanging crate's explosion, kiss him
goodbye nine times out of ten.

HAZARD: Body
Info: Either behind a small door or being pulled. If you shoot one, it
releases a Red Soul.

ITEM: Blue Soul Container
Info: Like Red Soul containers, except these contain Blue Souls.
*********************

Walkthrough:

Yes, I gave this mission an 11/10 difficulty rating on purpose. It is by
far the hardest mission in the game. Follow these directions EXACTLY, as
one mistake in this mission could be your last.

The instant the mission starts, run left but a good distance away from the
door, and get around the corner. Kill the two Undertakers that are chasing
you now and draw in their souls. From here, you will need to run into the
main hallway and get past the Gunner Undertaker. Kill him and collect his
soul. Be careful not to approach and doors while doing this.

Approach the door next to the red light in the main hallway. Get so close
to it that it opens. As soon as it opens, run just to either side of the
doorway. Kill any enemies that kill out (Usually a Force Gun Undertaker and
an Undertaker). Equip two Force Guns if possible. Kill any remaining enemies
inside the room (usually a Force Gun Undertaker) and collect his/their
soul/souls. If you already hit the Blue Soul Container collect the blue
soul now. If not, shoot the container and collect the Blue Soul. Leave the
room. Head right to another door. Repeat the process used for the other
room and collect your second Blue Soul.

Leave the room and head left. Turn right where the Gunner Undertaker was,
and follow the hallway to the giant gate. Go through the giant gate and
another door. Kill the two Force Gun Undertakers and the two Undertakers
and collect their souls (beware of shooting the bodies in this room).
After all enemies are dead, enter the door here and make your way down
this hallway without activating any infrared beams (if you do, you will
need to defeat a machine gun near the top of the hallway).

Enter the door. Kill the Robot Undertaker, Force Gun Undertaker, and
Undertaker in here and collect their souls. Jump onto the set of four
crates and then onto another set. Finally, jump into the small area here.

NOTE: At this point, you have two options. You can jump from this area
onto and wall and the onto the bar above. From here, you can kill the
Gunner Undertaker on the odd structure and jump through a window,
skipping much of the mission. If you do this, skip to the second **********
line. If not, read as normal. As a warning, the jump is difficult to
make, and doing it incorrectly could cause Drake to die upon landing on
the ground.

**********

Run through the door in this area. Kill the Robot Undertaker and collect
his soul. Quickly run left until you reach a wall. Jump onto the lowest
carton, and then run up the wall. Kill the two Gunner Undertakers here and
draw in their souls. As you approach the door here and Force Gun Undertaker
will come out. Kill him and collect his soul. Continue down the nearby
hallway and go through the door.

Run to the odd structure with the Gunner Undertaker. Run on the structure
until you get behind the Gunner Undertaker, at which point he should be
killed and you should draw in his soul. Wait for the odd structure to pass
by a window. Jump through the window.

**********

Kill the two Force Gun Undertakers in here and collect their souls. Collect
the green keycard on a table in a corner in this room. Go through the door
here and down a short hallway. Run just past the corner of the hallway and
quickly go back. A Force Gun Undertaker and an Undertaker should chase
after you. Kill them and collect their souls. Run out of the hallway
towards the visible door and kill the Force Gun Undertaker here and collect
his soul. Shoot the two Blue Soul Containers here and collect the two new
Blue Souls, raising your Blue Soul count to four.

Enter the door, which takes you into an elevator. When the elevator lets
you out, quickly kill the two Force Gun Undertakers down the hall and
collect their souls. An Undertaker should chase after you too. Kill him
and collect his soul. Run right down the hallway where you first started
the mission. Approach the door closest to where the Gunner Undertaker first
was.

Get so close to it that it opens. As soon as it opens, run just to either
side of the doorway. Kill any enemies that kill out (Usually a Force Gun
Undertaker and an Undertaker). Kill any remaining enemies inside the room
(usually a Force Gun Undertaker) and collect his/their soul/souls. If you
already hit the Blue Soul Container collect the Blue Soul now. If not,
shoot the container and collect the Blue Soul. Leave the room. Head left
to another door. Repeat the process used for the other room and collect
your last Blue Soul.

Run right down the hallway through the giant gate. Enter the door at the
end of this hallway to (finally) complete the mission.

Run straight down to hallway and enter the doorway at the end. You are
now in the area where you will fight the Spirit Marshal Envoy. For now,
collect the weapons near the door, equip two Force Guns or Shotguns,
and kill the Tang Hologram. If you need to heal, jump into one of the
Green Souls floating around (they cannot be drawn in). After a while,
the Spirit Marshal Envoy will emerge from the portal. Shoot him with
your Force Guns or Shotguns until he dies, and the mission will end.

mission.
*********************

Walkthrough:

NOTE: From this point on in the game, you will have every weapon available
to you at any time.

As soon as the mission starts, turn the camera towards the arrows so you
can see the Soul Portal Guard charging at you. Kill him and draw in his
soul. Wait a while and a second Soul Portal Guard will charge at you. Kill
him and collect his soul. Equip two Force Guns now. Run forward avoiding
fireballs and kill the Soul Portal Guard and draw in his soul. Run forward
again and kill the Fireball Demon and collect his soul. Run forward and
kill the Soul Portal Guard and collect his soul. Run forward again and
kill another Soul Portal Guard and collect his soul. Keep running forward
and go through the portal's exit.

Jump onto the big area of land ahead, kill the Fireball Demon here, and
collect his soul. Run onto and up the nearby rising path. Kill the Fireball
Demon here and draw in his soul. Jump onto the small area, then onto the
higher, smaller area, and finally onto the ledge above (you may jump of the
side of the ledge. If this happens, jump again onto the ledge). Kill the
nearby Fireball Demon and draw in his soul. Jump to where the Fireball
Demon was. Jump to one of the floating pieces on land. Jump up using the
other floating pieces of land here, kill the nearby Fireball Demon, and
draw in his soul.

Jump to where the Fireball Demon was. Run up the nearby slide-like structure.
At the top of the thing, jump to the platform with the arrows rising out of
it. Jump to the top of the moving platform nearby when you can. Next, jump
to platform above with the bones sticking out of it (make sure that you are
high enough to do so). Run up the chimney-like thing sticking out of the
house, and jump onto the house's roof. Run up the thing that looks like a
chimney with windows. When you reach the corner of it, run back down the
house's roof.

Kill the Fireball Demon below that just appeared and draw in his soul.
Run up the chimney-like thing with windows again. Follow it until you see
another path. Jump onto that path. Run along the path and kill the
Fireball Demon across from you near the top and draw in his soul. Jump
onto the floating land across from you at the top of the walkway. Near
the center of the area you are on is the soul gate (it looks like a flat
stone). Shoot it (even when it looks gone) until you complete the mission.

----------------------------------------------
6.22	Mission 22
----------------------------------------------

Name: Ashes to ashes
Goal: Locate and destroy the Soul Gate Seal to make your way further
into the Spirit Realms.
Hint: Shoot the eyes and they'll close. Destroy cracked bones to pass
narrow areas.
Enemies: Soul Portal Guards, Fireball Demons, Eyes
Hazards: Bones
Items: Soul Gate
Mission Difficulty: 7/10

*********************
ENEMY: Eye
Strength: Low
Health: Invincible
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Claw at you
Strategy: Eyes are pests that can be shot to be disabled for long period
of time.
Difficulty: 4/10

HAZARD: Bones
Info: Bones often block off paths, and need to be shot several times to
be broken.
*********************

Walkthrough:

NOTE: You should have the Sub-Machine Gun equipped during this mission.
Its fast and slightly inaccurate gunfire helps with the Bones and Eyes.

As soon as the mission starts, turn the camera towards the arrows. Run
down the hall a little and killed the Soul Portal Guard that charges at
you and draw in his soul. Run down a little more, avoiding the
fireballs, kill the two Soul Portal Guards that appear, and draw in
their souls. Kill the Fireball Demon and collect his soul. Run forward
and out of the soul portal. Jump to the nearby platform. Shoot the
nearby Eyes closed so they don't give you trouble. Kill the Fireball
here and draw in his soul.

Shoot down the row of bones with an arrow pointing to them. Jump to
the platform ahead, and then onto a platform to the right. From here,
jump onto the spine-like bone structure, and then onto the giant skull.
In the distance, you should be able to see a row of bones. Shoot them
down. After the bones are gone, shoot the eye on the area the bones were
covering (be SURE that it closes).

Run forward from the giant skull onto the small area of land. Kill the
Fireball Demon that appears behind you and collect his soul. In the
distance, another Fireball Demon is flying around on a moving platform.
Carefully aim your guns (auto-targeting will NOT help you here), kill
him, and draw in his soul. Jump onto the small area of land above and
then onto a walkway to the left.

Run along the walkway and destroy the row of bones here. Shoot the Eye
ahead, kill the Fireball Demon that appears in the distance, and draw in
his soul. Shoot another Eye on the walkway, run onto some bones, and jump
onto a platform ahead. Turn the camera back to the walkway, kill the
Fireball Demon that just appeared there, and draw in his soul. Jump onto
another nearby platform, then onto a piece of land, and finally onto a
piece of land with Eyes on it.

Jump onto the small piece of land above. Regardless of whether or not you
get hit by the Eye up here, shoot it. Run along the walkway that you are
on, kill the Fireball Demon up ahead, and draw in his soul. Go to were
the Fireball Demon was and jump onto a nearby platform (don't try to
shoot the bones here as they are unbreakable). Jump onto another nearby
platform, kill the Fireball Demon that will appear there, and collect its
soul.

Shoot the Eye on the next platform closed and jump to it. Do the same for
the next platform. After the Eye closes, jump to the next platform, kill
the Fireball Demon that will appear there, and collect his soul. Jump to
three more platforms and then onto a piece of land. Shoot the Eyes closed
and destroy the Soul Gate here to complete the mission (Don't approach it
or Fireball Demons will appear).

*********************
BOSS: Ghost Assassin
Strength: High
Health: Very High
Speed: Immobile

he is done, shoot at him. Repeat until he dies.
Difficulty: 5/10

ITEM: Soul Releaser
Info: Black holes found throughout the mission that constantly release
Green Souls.
*********************

NOTE: You should have the Sub-Machine Gun equipped during this mission.
Its fast and slightly inaccurate gunfire helps with the Bones, Eyes, and
the Ghost Assassin.

Walkthrough: Quickly kill the Fireball Demon toward the arrows once the
mission begins and draw in his soul (DON'T WALK TOWARDS HIM). Walk to
where the Fireball Demon was and quickly kill the two Soul Portal Guards
that appear and collect their souls. Run forward down the hall, kill
the Soul Portal Guards here, and collect their souls. Run forward and
out of the Soul Portal.

Quickly kill the Fireball Demon above and draw in its soul. Shoot the
Eyes near the Bones closed. Break the Bones and jump onto the platform
they were covering. Jump onto the platform above the one you are
currently on. Run along the walkway here. Kill the Fireball Demon on a
platform near the top of the walkway and draw in his soul. Shoot an Eye
on the walkway closed. Shoot Bones on the walkway until they break, and
shoot the Eye that was behind them closed.

Continue up the walkway. Kill the Fireball Demon that appears in the
distance and draw in its soul. Shoot another Eye on the walkway closed.
Run up and along some bones, shoot some Bones blocking you path, and
continue forward. After you get to a platform and a Fireball Demon
appears, run back onto the bones you can stand on, kill the Fireball
Demon, and draw in its soul. Run back along the bones in the direction
you were going and jump to a small platform with one of those green
markers on it.

Jump onto another similar platform nearby. From there, jump onto the
platform with bones and a black hole in the middle (a Soul Releaser).
Turn the camera so you can see a platform with an eye on it above. Shoot
the Eye closed and jump onto that platform. From here, jump onto the
huge platform. Run into the center of the platform (arrows lead up to
it) and the Ghost Assassin will appear.

To kill the Ghost Assassin, shoot at him. Don't stand too close (stand
close enough to a pillar that you can hide behind it). When the Ghost
Assassin changes position and bends back a little, quickly hide behind
a pillar. Continue shooting until he is going to attack again. If a
pillar breaks, you will need to hide behind another one. Once you
kill the Ghost Assassin, the mission will end.

6.24	Mission 24
----------------------------------------------

Name: Saving a Soul
Goal: The soul of your Master has been shattered! You must find and
collect all 5 blue pieces of your Master's soul!
Hint: Fly by equipping the Artifact. Shoot to gain altitude. Don't fly
too low.
Enemies: Soul Portal Guards
Hazards: Super Red Souls
Items: Blue Souls, Soul Releasers
Mission Difficulty: 4/10

*********************
HAZARD: Super Red Soul
Info: A red soul that takes away 10 health instead of 5. They also don't
make Drake flinch on contact, unlike regular Red Souls.
*********************

Walkthrough:

Equip two force Guns at the start of the mission. Fall down to the Soul
Portal Artifact and collect it. Wait, and after a short while a bunch
of Soul Portal Guards will appear. Kill them all and draw in their souls.
Equip the Soul Portal Artifact to either hand, and "fire" it to fly up a
bit. Keep firing it to fly. Now you should go and collect all 5 Blue Souls
in the level. I can't really describe their locations, but they aren't
hard to find or collect. After you collect all 5, all yourself to fall
until you are over the lowest piece of land in the level. Get over the
center of it and fall onto it to complete the mission.

6.25	Mission 25
----------------------------------------------

Name: Becoming the Dragon
Goal: Slay the Spirit Lord Supreme
Hint: Destroy the bones that cover the walls to reveal the weak spots
of the Spirit Lord Supreme.
Bosses: Spirit Lord Supreme
Hazards: Red Souls
Items: Soul Releaser (2)
Mission Difficulty: 10/10

*********************
BOSS: Spirit Lord Supreme
Strength: Very High
Health: Incredibly High
Speed: Immobile
Attacks: Claw at you, can be done up to 3 times at once.
Strategy: Ohhhhhhhhh boy. You are going to HATE this fight. Fighting the
Spirit Lord Supreme is long, time-consuming, and incredibly difficult.
To do anything to the Spirit Lord Supreme, you must first destroy the
bones on the nearby wall. After that is done, you will hear the music
change, signaling that the Spirit Lord Supreme can be damaged. Shoot
the Spirit Lord Supreme while dodging its attacks. You don't kill it
at once. Only one head at a time goes. However, this means that the
Spirit Lord Supreme can't attack as much. After all 3 heads die, you
beat the game.
Difficulty: 10/10

HAZARD: Soul Releaser (2)
Info: A Soul Releaser that release both Red and Green Souls at a much
faster rate then normal Soul Portals.
*********************

Walkthrough:

This is an incredibly challenging level. To defeat the Spirit Lord
Supreme, you must first destroy the bones on the wall. There are two
ways that this can be done:

-Shoot the bones down with a Sub-Machine Gun/Machine Gun (The Machine
Gun is recommended over the machine gun. Any other weapon is suicide).

-Draw in enough Green Souls from the Soul Portal under the Spirit Lord
Supreme to make your health peak out at over 100. At this point, you
can unleash the Undying Dragon and destroy all of the bones on the wall
in one shot. Much easier said then done.

Regardless of which method you choose, after enough bones are gone the
music will change, signaling that the Spirit Lord Supreme can be defeated.
Shoot him to death with Force Guns, making sure to avoid his attacks.
After the Spirit Lord Supreme is killed, you will have completed the game!
