"A great sequel"

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is the sequel to the masterpiece Max Payne. This amazing sequel exceeds its former is pretty much every way.

Game play 10/10
The game play is absolutely amazing. As always, bullet time is a big part of the game. Bullet Time has been updated a lot. As you kill more and more enemies, your bullet time hourglass turns yellow, and the enemies start to move slower and slower, when you start moving faster. And when you run out of ammo when using bullet time, you do a cool looking spin move, which automatically reloads your weapons. Also, when shoot dodging if you hit the floor and if you have more ammo in your guns, you can still keep shooting when on the floor. The physics engine in Max Payne 2 is extremely realistic. When you shoot an enemy, rag doll physics come in. The enemies flail around in the air, and slump against objects very realistically. You can even launch people into the air with higher caliber weapons .In Max Payne, you could interact with the environment. In Max Payne 2 , you can still interact with the environment. All together, game play gets a 10 out of 10.

Graphics 9/10
The graphics in Max Payne 2 are stunning. You can see a lot of detail in the environment and on the characters. The good thing is now there is lip synching that goes along with the dialogue during game play. And now, Max’s face can have many expressions rather than just one. As in the first Max Payne, the gun shot effects still look good, if not better. The graphic novel, which is used to tell the story, still looks very nice also. You can still see the empty magazines, spent shells and bullet casings lying on the floor, which gives the game a realistic feel. The walls and doors in the levels look very well done, even after they’ve been shot up. All in all, graphics gets a 9 out of 10.

Sound 10/10
When playing Max Payne 2, you will feel like you are actually inside the game, hearing the things around you. Gunshots, explosions, fires, or the scream of the person you just killed sound incredibly realistic. The voices of the people and characters around you are very easy to hear, and very smooth. If you turn on a TV set, you can hear the sound effects and voices of the TV characters easily also. The music in the background sets a very good mood. If something bad just happened, the music will change into a depressing tune. In times of action, there is very cool background music that makes it even cooler to fire off a gun in slow motion. Sound gets a 10 out of 10.

Story 9/10
The Graphic Novel, which tells the story in Max Payne 2, makes the story pretty easy to understand. But after your first time through, you may have skipped a few cut scenes, or skipped a few graphic novel frames. You may have even missed hearing something during a level, because you hurried through. Rather than skipping things, you should really pay attention to what each character says, because everything is important. You may find some things confusing about the plot, but eventually you will understand. Even if you missed the first Max Payne, you can go to a special option and get a brief summary. Story gets a 9/10.

Length and Replay Value 9/10
Max Payne is pretty short.Your first time through may take about 8-10 hours, but after the first time, it won’t take as long. The Replay Value is pretty good. There are lots of difficulties to try out. It will be a very long time before you get sick of this game. You just can’t get enough of the slow motion shooting. Length and Replay gets a 9 out of 10.
