"Gotta Love Blowing Things Up"

I got this game recently and I have to tell you about it. It is a great game with a few spoilers.

Graphics: The graphics are amazing. You see inside the Delta Leader's helmet. When you shoot a barrel with explosives when you are next to it, the barrel goes flying in the air and you get flames on your body. Very realistic, if you count Star Wars as realistic. A really nice touch is that when you stab someone and their guts go on your screen, a helmet cleaner washes it off.

Sound: It is great. From blasters firing to you talking to your soldiers, it sounds great. Explosives go BOOM! Enemies screaming as they die is pretty good, too. One other really funny thing is the lines that the characters say.

Gameplay: Ah... the meat of this review. Gameplay is pretty good with some minor issues. Basically, you go around blowing stuff up and killing droids (robots for people that are new to Star Wars). One issue is the lack of weapons. You have basically one main weapon. Sure it has a sniper attachment and a rocket attachment, but the lack of ammo really doesn't make it worth it. Then you have secondary weapons. There aren't many. You get a wimpy pistol that is okay if you only get headshots. Then you pick up other weapons that run out of ammo pretty fast so they aren't that good. Another very VERY minor issue is the lack of vision modes. Why can't we have thermal sensors or motion sensors? Come on LucasArts. You can do better than that. This is a nice game that could have used some fine tuning. Other than that it is fun and enjoyable.

Replay Value: A lot (only if you have Xbox Live). Other than that you can have split screen and system link battles. Or you could play through the campaign again.

Buy or Rent?: If you like Star Wars then stop reading this review and go buy the game! If not then rent it, if you like it then go buy it.

Overall: 9/10. It's a great game that could be even better if it was fine tuned.
