The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Question from AllTimeGreat53
Asked: 2 years agowouldn't be cool if you could go online and have a huge world where u and some friends could buy sell and adventure into the wilderness on Xbox live with worlds you can choose from that'd be kool. I mean last game oblivion was amazing only thing left to do is give it a online adventure type thing right?
There will be no online nor co-op play in Skyrim. Todd Howard has already confirmed that: "No, we would rather focus on making the single-player as solid as possible."

statusI surely hope not.
Game Informer is doing thier January issue on Skyrim, so all the info that anyone is going to know about the game for a while, will be in that, maybe including multiplayer.
Could you not just create an expansion of online gaming with an add on or even another disk much like what was done with shivering isles?
ya i think that would be pretty good xD
its not as if it hasnt been done before they should find it pretty easy like
or do something like the darkspore side where you can play with a few mates if u want to.
but not a whole mmorpg world like that of WOW or LOTRO
Someone created a mod for oblivion or morrowind which had co-op play over the internet it was super laggy theres your ansers
I think they should add co-op. Online play would get a little crazy.
I think they could and it shouldnt be as hard as everyone thinks i mean look at first person shooters wich elderscrolls are essentialy and look how good they are online granted it would be hard to keep out hackers and too many people at once but those problems can be fixed with proper monitoring and multiple servers
I think they should do Co-op, but for dungeons only, it would ruin the vast single player but it would be great for a 5 man cut away dungeon, something you dont have to do, and make the loot "rolled on" and stuff
While the team making Skyrim already announced that there would be no multiplayer I believe that a dungeon system where you group up with others for amazing loot added as an expansion would be really cool. And as a side note Jeremie101 how the hell is Elder Scrolls anything like an fps? Elder Scrolls is nothing like an fps and taking an online fps and using that as a model for Elder Scrolls just sounds.....christ.
I hope they dont add any kind of multiplayer at all, Bethesda does an amazing job of making single player RPGs as seen in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series, to try to add multiplayer would ruin it.
No it will not have online and bethesda was making an elder scrolls mmorpg but was recently scrapped, i dont think it would be as good as people would think anyway but a game LIKE that would be fun
