How do I beat Ancano?

I'm up to fighting Ancano in the college of winterhold and he kills me too easily, i was wondering what the best strategy is to take him out.
I'm level 14 by the way is that too low?

I've killed him on level 15, so you should be fine. What you need to do is use the Staff of Magnus to drain him of his magicka and then just kite him around while throwing spell at him. Trust me, after Morokei, he's really easy. Also, you have to use Staff of Magnus on the Eye of Magnus, so that you can damage him in the first place.
