Why is everyone attacking me?

i'm trying to start the "join the Dawnguard mission. i entered dayspring canyon but as soon as i do Agmaer starts attacking me. then when i get to fort dawnguard everyone else attacks me. is this a glitch? if so, can it be fixed?

Make sure you have no bounty in the rift as that causes this problem for some people. If you dont have a bounty, it is just a glitch and you will have to reload a previous save.
