Welcome to my guide for NiGHTS into Dreams... for the PS2. This is the Remake
of the Saturn version, which was a big success. This Remake features the
"BRAND NEW DREAM" and the "SEGASATURN DREAM", which the game is centered on,
and it also features the "GALLERY MODE" and the "MOVIE THEATER". And finally
this game won't be complete without the secrets of this game. I'm going to be
writing this guide, because...I just feel like it. This guide is still in it's
first draft. So it'll probably have tons of information that's not complete.
Feel free to E-mail me if you know something, or have some requests. I want
this guide to be the best on the planet.

Have you ever thought about "Dreams"?
"Dreams" are something that is very close to us, but sometimes far from us.
It's a mysterious world.

When people sleep, they go forth to another space called the Night Dimension.
In that place, our consciousness is projected, which creates two worlds.
The Dream world "Nightopia",
and the dark and awful dream world "Nightmare".

In Nightopia, visitors are the ones that come to the dream, who are called by
the Ideya which are the ones who project the visitor's consciousness.

The White Ideya represents Purity, the Green Ideya represents Growth,
the Blue Ideya represents Intelligence, the Yellow Ideya represents Hope, and
the Red Ideya represents Courage.

It is now rare to see a visitor with all five Ideyas. Especially a visitor
who has the Red Ideya.

In that dream world, a crisis was happening.
The ruler of the Nightmare, Wizeman had started stealing the visitor's Ideyas,
exterminating Nightopia.

"If Ideyas do not exist Nightopia will disappear...
and my Nightmare will rule!"

For this plan to happen, Wizeman created many Nightmarens, which he sent to
Nightopia. Nightopia was in chaos.

Elliot and Claris were also visitors in Nightopia. They wanted to save
Nightopia, with a little bravery. That was the time, when the Red Ideya
appeared above their heads...The one who was looking at that sight was NiGHTS.
NiGHTS was also a Nightmaren that Wizeman created, but NiGHTS wanted freedom,
and also did not take orders from anyone. This made Wizeman furious, locking
NiGHTS up into an Ideya Palace forever. "With the power of the Ideya, I can
get out of here for awhile..." thought NiGHTS, which lead NiGHTS to asking
Elliot and Claris.

"With your Ideya and my power, we can defeat Wizeman!"

Elliot and Claris each got closer to NiGHTS, with the red light from the Red
Ideya, the barrier of the Ideya Palace disappears. With NiGHTS' freedom back,
NiGHTS takes Elliot and Claris' hands and fly up into the sky. It was as if
they were flying on their own.

"Let's start by stealing back the four stolen Ideyas!! With five Ideyas it'd
be an instant to Wizeman!!"

To defeat Wizeman, without having any fear, to get the true courage, NiGHTS,
Elliot, and Claris will challenge an endless "Dreamy" and "Courageous"
adventure, which begins now.

Diary Selection Screen
-----------------------

First off when you load up your game, you'll come to a Diary Selection Screen.
To make a new diary just select "NEW GAME". After this everything will be
saved on this diary(file).

Next type in your file name. NiGHTS is fine. If you want to change it later in
the future, just go to the options screen.

The next time you play, just pick the diary you want.

Note: You can create up to 5 diaries. You'll have to delete one if you want to
      make a new one(After having five).

Time Setting
-------------

The time is important in this game. So before you start playing make sure your
PlayStation 2 has the right time and date. If you don't, change it.
It really shouldn't be a problem, because you should've done this when you
first plugged in your PlayStation 2.

NiGHTS
-------

NiGHTS was created as Wizeman's left hand, and is also a First Level
Nightmaren. NiGHTS has the traits of a regular Nightmaren, but had the strong
desire of not listening to anyone. Which made Wizeman furious locking NiGHTS
up into an Ideya Palace forever. NiGHTS is different from other Nightmarens in
other ways such as having an excellent flying ability and ability to change
shape. As a First Level Nightmaren, NiGHTS can dualize with a visitor.

Claris Sinclair
----------------

She is a 15 year old girl living in the suburbs of Twin Seeds. She was born
and raised in a home of artists, so she has a high sense if sensitivity. As
a young girl she always dreamt of standing in a stage of a musical, but as a
wheedling child and a shy person, she has the anxiety of performing in front
of a lot of people. That girl auditioned for the Twin Seeds 100th anniversary
musical. She makes it to the second audition, but she is overwhelmed by the
spotlights and the largeness of the stage, which made her lose confidence and
hope of going to the final audition. That night, the depressed injured girl's
heart was attacked by nightmares. Earnestly running, she finds a majestically
standing mysterious building, that is when Claris meets the smiling NiGHTS...

Elliot Edwards
---------------

He is a 15 year old boy living in the Central Square of Twin Seeds. He's
universally good at everything, seen by everyone as an inferior figure. His
most talented gift was playing Basketball. No one could stand a chance against
him. He was a longing figure. He has a cool character, which he always steps
up first in anything. One afternoon, when he was playing Basketball a group
of high school students stole the court which was really humiliating for him.
On that night, the humiliation lead him to the nightmare. With the
mortification and rigor, he runs from the dark cloud. Soon in his eye sight
appears a light shining world. That was Nightopia, in front of him was a
mysterious building with a smiling figure, which was NiGHTS...

Nightopian
-----------

They are the ones who live in the dream world of Nightopia. They are innocent
and cheerful inhabitants. They love fun things, and love to show a fun dream
to the visitors. Sometimes they sing, sometimes they dance. They'll use every
trick in the book to make you have the blast of your life.

Wizeman
--------

He is the first intelligent life born in the Night Dimension. He is the
creator of Nightmare. He uses the energy in his possession to create
Nightmarens. That mysterious power was always feared by the Nightmarens, but
NiGHTS didn't listen to Wizeman, which lead him to confine NiGHTS into the
Ideya Paace.

Reala
------

Reala was created as Wizeman's Right hand, and was created at the same time as
NiGHTS. One of the few First Level Nightmarens. Reala is cold-blooded and
cruel, but swears to be loyal to Wizeman. Reala has the same abilties as
NiGHTS, and dislike each other. They both see the other as a rival.

Gillwing
---------

Gillwing has the largest body within the Second Level Nightmarens. But in
reality Gillwings' head is empty. Once Gillwing distinguishes himself with
the enemy, he will chase the enemy forever. Gillwings' tail has the ability to
regenerate his head.

Puffy
------

A Second Level Nightmaren with a body flexible like a Gum ball. With a
flexible body, NiGHTS' attacks don't do any damage on her. In the mansion she
created lies the key to her defeat.

Klawz
------

A Black Cat type Second Level Nightmaren with sharp claws. He's ill-natured
from the root and never fights fair and square. He's the type that hides and
bullies. He's real fast, even NiGHTS can't catch up...?

Gulpo
------

A fish type Second Level Nightmaren with a giant mouth that can swallow
anything. He has a ferocious look, but he is unexpectedly calm. He is aware of
his flaw of being thick-witted, so he puts traps around him to get his prey.

Jackle
-------

He wraps his body with his giant cape, the most craziest Second Level
Nightmaren. He uses any chimerical means to scare the visitors. The cape that
he wears can deflect any attack that is sent at him. Rumor says that, Jackle
was a failed experiment of Wizeman's first First Level Nightmaren.

There are two main games and a secret one. The "BRAND NEW DREAM", the
"SEGASATURN DREAM", and the "?????". You'll also have the "GALLERY", "MOVIE
THEATER", and the "OPTION". These are the selections you have on the Mode
Select Screen.

BRAND NEW DREAM
----------------

The game's main mode. There is no difference in the controls and story as the
Saturn version, but it has enhanced graphics, which is pretty awesome.

SEGASATURN DREAM
-----------------

This is the Saturn Version. If you never played the Saturn version here's your
chance. Relive the time when NiGHTS was on the Saturn. Even though the control
scheme is different, it's still great to have it. Be appreciative to SEGA and
Sonic Team.

You can look at some images of NiGHTS when it first came out. Some of these
images are so nice. What am I saying? All of these images are nice. Be
thankful once again.

MOVIE THEATER
--------------

You can see the Cut-Scenes of the game here. If you missed watching one
because of a phone call or something, here's the place for you. Or maybe you
just want to see it again. Whatever the case may be...this is cool.

OPTION
-------

This is the place for you to change a variety of settings. Or maybe you're
just here to listen to some nice BGM.

SOUND TEST- You can listen to the BGM, and Sound Effects of the game here.
            Start by picking the Dream's BGM and SE, then choose the name of
            the song to start listening to some of the best music in gaming
            history.

AUDIO- The place to change whether you want to listen in STEREO or MONO.

TV SCREEN- Make the TV Screen normal (4:3) or wide (16:9).

NIGHTMAREN- Choose the boss that comes out at the end of a Dream. You can only
            use this when you beat every boss. You can also look at your
            records on how fast you beat a boss.

?????- You'll get this when you do something. To find out scroll down a lot.

SELECT DIARY- This is where you can Delete, Copy, Rename, Save/Load, and make
              the game on Auto-Save on a particular Diary.

Aside from the regular controls, there are special controls for each
character. Well they're not controls, but actions. NiGHTS has more actions
than Elliot and Claris, but they're not that hard to remember. These are some
actions you want to know if you want to succeed in this game so learn them
well.

Fly
----

Use the D-Pad or the Left Stick to fly. You can go up, down, left, right in
every direction. You can make a 360 degree circle. Fly freely.

Acrobat Flight
---------------

While in Flight press the L1 or R1 (L2 or R2) you can do some acrobatic moves.
After going through a Acro Ring, use this to get points.

Paraloop
---------

NiGHTS flys while leaving a trail of Twinkle Dust. Fly like making a circle
with the Twinkle Dust. This will make a dimension that sucks in whatever is in
the circle or around the circle.

Touchloop
----------

While touching a Nightmaren, do nothing and let NiGHTS make a 360 degree
circle, this will make a Paraloop which defeats the Nightmaren.

Touch Dash
-----------

While touching a Nightmaren, press the O or X button to shoot the Nightmaren,
making you end up dashing.

-----------
Drill Dash
-----------

While holding the O or X button, you dash like a drill using up energy. While
you're using Drill Dash your speed increase and you can also tackle any
Nightmarens in your way.

Air Break
----------

If you press the L1 and R1 button (L2 and R2 button) together, you'll stop in
the air.

Directional Change
-------------------

When you're still in the air and press the L1 and R1 button (L2 and R2 button)
together, you'll change the way you're facing.

Before Dualizing with NiGHTS, or the NiGHTS Time reaches Zero and the Dualize
is over, you use Claris or Elliot.

Walk
-----

Use the D-Pad or the Left Stick to walk. Move the Right Stick to the left
(L1 or L2) to move the camera to the left, and move the Right Stick to the
right(R1 or R2) to move the camera to the right.

-----
Jump
-----

Press the O or X button to jump. When you're about to land, press the O or X
button again to do a Double Jump, repeat again to do a Triple Jump. Master the
Triple Jump because it is necessary to travel long distances.

Below are the things you should learn to play the game. Such as the Game
Screen, and how to play the game.

5.     a. Dream Select                                                   Drslt
==============================================================================

When you select the "BRAND NEW DREAM" or "SEGASATURN DREAM" you'll come to the
Dream Select Screen. Use the D-Pad or the Left Stick to select whether you
want to play with Claris or Elliot's Dream. In the beginning there are only
one dream for each character, but when you beat a dream, you'll get a new
dream.

The screen will also tell you your best Letter Grade and your best score for
each dream.

Letter Grades are from A~F. Just to let you know, each character can play four
dreams. To get the fourth dream you must have letter grades better than a C on
the other three dreams that you already have.

Press the Triangle button on the Dream Select Screen to see the Dream Data
Screen of the Dream you pressed the Triangle button on.

The screen will show the route of each Mare of that dream level. It'll also
show you all the best scores you got. Press the L1 or L2 button to move the
map to the left, and  press the R1 or R2 button to move the map to the right.
Press the L1 and L2 (R1 and R2) button at the same time to stop the map from
circling.

Press the Square button to see each Mare's Best Lap and Best LINK.

The time you have left until you're Dualized with NiGHTS. It starts at 120
seconds and the Dualize is over at 0.

The points you have on that Mare. It goes up when you go through Rings and
collect items.

The energy available for you to Drill Dash. Go through Rings to replenish it.

How many Hit Points the Ideya Capture has left.

When you press the START button the Pause screen will come up. If you want to
go back to the Dream Select Screen select "YES". If not select "NO".

This is the flow of the game...

1. Dualize with NiGHTS at the Ideya Palace
-------------------------------------------

First off you'll come into Nightopia as Claris or Elliot. Soon some
Nightmarens will come and steal away Four Ideyas from you. This is where the
game begins. You should be near the Ideya Palace. Just get close to NiGHTS and
Dualize.(Go inside the Ideya Palace)

----------------------------------------------------
2. Collect Blue Chips and destroy the Ideya Capture
----------------------------------------------------

The stolen Ideyas are in the Ideya Captures. Collect 20 Blue Chips and fly
into the dome of the Ideya Capture to destroy it. This is how you steal back
the Ideyas.

You can still enter an Ideya Capture even if you don't have 20 Blue Chips.
Let's say you enter with 11 Blue Chips. You just need 9 more to destroy it, so
you just have to go collect 9 more and just go back to destroy it.

3. After getting back the Ideya, head back to the Ideya Palace
---------------------------------------------------------------

After stealing back the Ideya, head back to the Ideya Palace to clear a
Mare. Next you get the Mare Evaluation with a Letter Grade, following with
the next Mare.

After collecting Four Ideyas, the Gate to the Nightmare opens.

4. Confrontation with the Boss of the Nightmare World
------------------------------------------------------

In the Nightmare, a Second or First Level Nightmaren will be waiting for you.
Use different kinds of techniques to defeat the Nightmaren.

The Dream will be cleared after defeating the boss, which will be followed
with your Score and Letter Grade.

There are some things you should know while playing this game...

When the NiGHTS Time goes to Zero...
-------------------------------------

When Nightmarens attack you, you lose NiGHTS Time. When that time reaches
Zero, The time you are Dualized with NiGHTS is over.

If you didn't destroy the Ideya Capture, then you must collect Blue Chips as
Claris or Elliot. Then you must go find the Ideya Capture and destroy it by
Triple Jumping into it.

If the Ideya Capture is already destroyed by the time reaches Zero, you just
have to head to the Ideya Palace.

Oh if the NiGHTS Time goes to Zero in the Nightmare it'll be "Night Over".
(Game Over)

Gather Points to get a better Letter Grade
-------------------------------------------

Getting Blue Chips, and going through Rings will get you points. Also, if you
get or go through things consecutively you'll get LINKS. The more the LINK the
more Points you will get.

Night Over
-----------

If you get caught by the Alarm Egg, or you run out of time in the Nightmare
it'll be a "Night Over". Which means Game Over.

Clear Evalutaion
-----------------

When you clear a Mare or Dream, you get a Clear Evaluation. After you Clear
a Dream you can hold the O button and press the START button to play the same
Dream you were just playing. Or you can press START to go back to the Title
Screen.

This part of the guide will tell you some of the most important things about
this game. Such as the Items and Devices in the game. Also one of the more
important ways of geting points, the Acrobat Mode. And finally this part of
the guide will tell you how to get an A in general.

6.     a. Items and Devices                                              Itadv
==============================================================================

The Items and Devices that appear in Nightopia...

----------
Blue Chip
----------

A Crystal of Ideya Energy. The purpose of these are to collect 20 of these,
take it to the Ideya Capture, and to retrive the Ideya.

----------
Star Chip
----------

A star fragment created from the Ideya Energy. If you get these your score
will go up, these are used to get LINKS.

---------
Chip Box
---------

This box contains 8 Blue Chips. Destroy this by Drill Dashing into it, or just
by Touch Dashing it.

-----
Ring
-----

Go through the Ring to get more score. This also increases the Drill Dash
Gauge. Go through the Rings consecutively to get big points.

----------
Acro Ring
----------

Go through the Acro Ring to make NiGHTS' Twinkle Dust change into this yellow
sash/belt. Also called the Ribbon. This starts the Acrobat Time. During this
time, you will do some Acrobatic moves or called Acrobat Motion. It's also
called the Acrobat Mode. The number of times you do Acrobatic Stunts will
change how much points you get.

Spike Ring
-----------

When you try to go through, the Ring starts getting smaller. If you touch the
Spike you get damage, but if you go through your score goes up and your Drill
Dash Gauge goes up.

Ideya Palace
-------------

The shrine that NiGHTS is trapped in. When you collect the Five Ideyas the
Gate to the Nightmare opens.

Ideya Capture
--------------

The device that is placed to steal the Ideya. When you bring 20 Blue Chips to
the dome, it breaks releasing the Ideya.

Switch
-------

Touch the round part to get Blue Chips and Star Chips to fly at you. It can
also open secret passages.

----------
Alarm Egg
----------

The Keeper that tries to take the Visitors back to their own world. This only
appears when you're playing as Claris or Elliot.

6.     b. Acrobat Mode                                                   Acrbt
==============================================================================

You're in Acrobat Mode when you go through the Acro Ring. You will have the
Stunt Ribbon, which is a yellow trail left behind instead of Twinkle Dust.
This is when you finally use your L1 and/or R1 (L2 and/or R2) triggers. This
is where you do tricks. You just have to face a direction and Press one of the
triggers to do a trick or stunt. Easy right? Well you have 10 seconds to do
as many tricks you can. When you get more than 10 tricks you'll start doing
Dreamies, which gives you 2000 points. So your goal is to get many Dreamies as
you can when you get the Stunt Ribbon.

It's neither easy nor hard to get an A on a Dream in this game. You just have

have to practice to get better. These are just some tips that you can use to
better your chances of getting an A. If you need some specific help on a Dream
or Mare, head to that Dream in this guide and there should be some tips on
that Dream or Mare.

When you start the Dream, get some nearby Blue Chips. This will get your time
with the Ideya a little longer. Because when you Dualize with NiGHTS, the time
during NiGHTS starts. You'll already have some Blue Chips by the time you're
NiGHTS. So you just have to get about 10~15 Blue Chips before getting to an
Ideya Capture.

Tip 2
******

Don't think you're going to get points by pressing a trigger (L1/L2/R1/R2)
while getting a Blue Chip or something. This is not "Journey of Dreams"!!!
You do not get any extra points for doing stunts without the Stunt Ribbon.

Tip 3
******

Do not enter the Ideya Capture without 20 Blue Chips. If you do, you'll just
lose valuable time.

Tip 4
******

Try to go for big LINKS. Big LINKS will help you get lots of points. You
should always aim for at least 25 LINKS. This can help your score.

******

Before trying to get a high score, time your runs in every Mare of that Dream.
Just ask someone to time how long it takes you to go through a Mare. This will
really help. You'll know when to go to the Ideya Palace if you know how much
time you have left. For example, it can take about 10 seconds to complete
Spring Valley's 1st Mare. And you have 11 seconds left. Go for it, it took you
10 seconds last time, why not now. You'll get more points this way.

Tip 6
******

If your Dualize ends before getting to the Ideya Palace and you have an Ideya,
you are thrown off as Elliot or Claris to the ground with all the Blue Chips
you collected scattered around you. This also summons the Alarm Egg. Your best
chance is to grab all the Blue Chips and get a big LINK, and run away from the
Alarm Egg. Then head to the Ideya Palace. The best grade you can get is about
a D if you got a big LINK. This is not good. You can only get an A if your
other Mare's were all As or maybe one B. If not you should just start over.

Whatever time you get is what will determine what your score from your Dream
will be multiplied by. Let's say you got 475070 in Mystic Forest. Let's also
say you got a 1.7 on Gulpo.(Or whatever boss you have setted in the Options)
Just multiply 475070 by 1.7, you get 807619. Which is pretty damn good.

Do NOT get hit!!! This will subtract 5 seconds from your time. You're also
stunned for another second, so do NOT get hit!!!

You still need help? Well practice!!! Go through Spring Valley as fast as you
can, and face the Boss. This is when you practice. Another tip that can be
added to this is to just face one boss. Set the boss you want in the Options
and just practice on that particular Nightmaren. I would recommend Jackle or
Reala. Yeah they are First Class Nightmarens,(Jackle was like a First Class)
but they are easy when you practice.

Why not Gillwing? Well scroll down to the 5th Tip.

So why not Gillwing? Yes I know what you're thinking. People who played the
Saturn Version must be amazed. I have a good reason for this. The way Gillwing
was easy in the Saturn was that you just had to Paraloop his tale once to get
an easy 2.0. But I guess Sonic Team fixed that in the PS2 version. You can't
get a 2.0 like that in this version. Yes I've tried many times, and failed.
You can only get 19 LINKS from this. You need 21 LINKS to kill Gillwing in
one shot.

Update- I actually defeated Gillwing with the Paraloop. You just have to time
        it and also make a huge Paraloop. Still not recommended though.

Start by walking to the left. Soon the Nightmarens will come and take away
your Ideya. Keep following the path and you should see a stone bridge with

You should get Two Blue Chips. Do a Triple Jump to the side to the Seven Blue
Chips and Four Stars. Now you should have about Twelve Blue Chips. Don't worry
if you have only Ten Blue Chips.(This is the number you should have before
heading to the Ideya Palace, if not go around looking for more) Head to the
Ideya Palace.

NiGHTS
-------

As NiGHTS, dash to the upper-right until you see the Seven Blue Chips and Four
Stars. Paraloop them and head down. You should grab the Three Stars here.
There's a Shleep nearby, but don't worry about it. Just Drill Dash it. Soon
you should come across Three more Blue Chips. As soon as you grab these, you
get to your first Ideya Capture. You should have Twenty Blue Chips by now.
Now you get back an Ideya.

Bonus Time

After destroying the Ideya Capture there are Two Blue Chips. Following these
Chips are Rings. Ten to be precise. Then you're back to the Ideya Palace.

So starting from the beginning, if you grab every one of the Chips, Stars, and
go through every one of the Rings you should be able to get a maximum LINK of
28.

The key is to know when to Drill Dash. The most common places I use a Drill
Dash is right after the Paraloop. Next is where the Ideya Capture should be.
And finally you should always Drill Dash through Rings because you'll gain
speed and your gauge will replenish at the same time.

My best LINK in this Mare is obviously 28. I hear people play this Mare
backwards to get an infinite LINK, but I'm just used to the normal way.

Fly to the bottom of the screen, when you pass the big rock you should get
Three Blue Chips.(They are behind the rock) As soon as you get those chips you
will see Two more before the huge slope. Go through the Two Rings, and another
set of Rings. You will now come across Seven Blue Chips and Three Stars in
two rows. It's important to get lots of Blue Chips here. Hit the Dash Ball to
go through Three Rings. Following this will be Three Blue Chips. Now fly up.
Head to the Upper-Left to find a Chip Box. Break it open with a Drill Dash and
head to the Ideya Capture that you were about to collide with. This completes
your task.

Bonus Time
***********

From the Ideya Capture head to the bottom to get Five Blue Chips, Two Rings
and a Shleep waiting at the end of the Ring. Your best bet is to just Drill
Dash through the Rings and just hope to hit the Shleep. Keep going up and make
a Paraloop around the Stars to make a Gauge Refill Item appear. Grab it and
head through the Ten Rings. Quickly make a Paraloop around the next set of
Stars and Chips. When you get to a giant tree follow the vegetation to get
Three Blue Chips, then you'll get Six more if you follow the path correctly.
Ending the lap is Two Rings.

From the beginning, just follow the steps of when you're first trying to get
the Ideya. But remember that the Chip Box only appears once. So skip that part
and follow the rest of the path that is covered in the Bonus Time.

My best LINK in this Mare was 26. This isn't that good. This isn't my
favorite Mare in Spring Valley.

It is crucial to get Twenty Blue Chips before getting to the Ideya Capture. If
you miss one, it'll ruin your whole run. So try not to miss any.

Start by flying downward collecting Three Blue Chips. Go through the Two Rings
killing a Shleep in the end. Don't stop Drill Dashing, keep following the
Rings to get to the end. On the way should of been Three Blue Chips also. You
should've came through Twelve Rings. Now head to the right to find a Chip Box
and a Hollow. These guys are not cool. They shoot like seeds at you which
always hits me when getting the Chip Box. Very annoying. Lately I found out
that people should just Drill Dash through the Hollow with it. Hit the Dash
Ball to get Four Stars and through the Acro Ring. Do small tricks/stunts while
flying downward through Three Rings, go up a little to get Three Blue Chips
and fly to the top to get the last Three Blue Chips. You should also go
through the Two Rings with it. Follow the path to the right to go through
Three more Rings then entering the Ideya Capture.

Grab the Two Stars that's in front of you and go through the Acro Ring. Do as
many tricks/stunts while heading to the right. On the way you might see a Ring
of Chips, you can Paraloop this and follow with Two more chips and Ten Rings.
(The end is the same as Mare 1)

This is the Mare to get lots of points. Just speed through the Mare going
through as may Rings as you can and grabbing Chips as you go. The time to get
lots of points is when you have the Stunt Ribbon. Get as many Dreamies as you
can.

Paraloop the Seven Blue Chips and Four Stars. Next you'll come across Two
Rings. Go through the First Ring, but don't go in the Second Ring. Immediately

under the Second Ring and head through that Ring when making the Paraloop.
Kill some Shleeps on the way to Three Rings. Then Two more Blue Chips. Fly to
the top and follow the line of Rings. There should be Fifteen Rings. After the
Rings are a group of Blue Chips and Stars.(6 Blue Chips and 3 Stars) You will
follow the current of the Wind up to the top of the Icy Mountain with Four
Stars waiting for you at top. With Five Rings following. Fly down to grab the
group of Blue Chips.(There should be six) Enter the last Ideya Capture.

Go through the Two Rings coming up. Flying down takes you to Three Chips with
Two Rings following. There are Kircles here so be careful. Go down the Slope
of the Mountain to go through Four Rings. You should now be at the big tree
with the vegetation. There are Two Chips around there. And ending the Mare
is Two Rings.

The most important thing about this Mare is to get a big LINK before going
up the Mountain Slope.

least 6 of those Blue Chips. Enter the Ideya Palace.

If this a little hard, from where Elliot starts head to the right and head
down the hill to an area with a lot of Blue Chips. You can easily get 20 Blue
Chips here.

Dash straight and do a Paraloop around the group of Blue Chips you just got
when you were Elliot. You should now have enough Blue Chips. Grab the Bonus
Ball and head through the 5 Rings. Then the next 5. Enter the First Ideya
Capture.

***********

Head through the 2 Rings. You should come to a set of Stars and a Guyser. Grab
the Stars and fly through the Guyser. There should now be a group of Stars. So
Paraloop them. Immediately head to the Second Guyser that you should see, and
just wait on top of the Guyser until it throws you to an area with Chips and
Rings. Head to the beginning of the set of Rings (Left Side) and head through.
Go through the Bubble collecting some Chips and through a Ring. Following the
Bubble is a lone Ring. When you go through this Ring you should now be back at
the Ideya Palace.

You can get a really Big LINK in this Mare. You should be able to easily get
100 LINKS.

Fly straight and go through the 2 Rings. You should see a Ring with a Bubble
connected to it. Just fly straight in and grab the 4 Blue Chips in it. Fly

Paraloop them to get 7 Blue Chips. Fly through the Rings in the Bubble. Fly
upwards and head through the bubble to find a Chip Box. Open it to get 8 more
Blue Chips. Now fly downward into the Garden and grab at least 1 more Blue
Chip. And fly straight to the Rings and through the Ideya Capture.

Note: There is a way that NiGHTS can get stuck at the Garden Area. Before
      the end is a Dash Ball that will send you to the entrance of the Garden.
      So if you want to leave, don't hit that Dash Ball.

Fly to the left and through all those Rings that you see. You should now get
to some Stars. Follow it until you start seeing some Rings. Fly downward and
enter the Bubble to get more Chips. Now get out and fly to the top and through
the Rings that you saw. In the end are two Stars and a Ideya Palace.

Fly straight and you should see the group of Blue Chips in the 1st Mare.
They are not part of this Mare, but you can still Paraloop them to get those

should get at least 10. Fly straight and you should see some Rings. Fly
through all 8 Rings and you should see another Bonus Ball with another Ring
followed by Bubbles. Grab the Bonus Ball and head through the Ring.

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't seem to go through all the bubbles
in a straight line to grab all the Blue Chips. Do you know?

The one thing you can do is to ignore the Bonus Ball and fly under it and hit
the Switch to get some Blue Chips. Then go up when you get to the Rings that
are facing up and then hit the next switch. After grabbing enough Blue Chips
around this area head into the Ideya Capture at the end of the Bubbles.

Fly straight and into a bubble with some chips inside. Next you'll enter the
Garden. Fly to the right and through the Rings and just head downward until
you see the 3rd Mare Sign. Go in the direction it's pointing and go through
the Acro Ring. Do tons of tricks here, when it ends head straight grabbing
Stars on the way. In the end are a row of Rings also. To end the Mare are 2
Stars.

Again speed through the level grabbing as many Chips and going through the
Rings. When you get to the Acro Ring, do as many tricks as you can. Repeat.

After the Ideya Capture you'll enter the Ocean. NiGHTS will also turn into a
Mermaid...or a Merman...or whatever you want to call it. Head through the
first few Rings and just dive down all the way until the Rings curve. On the

right and grab the Stars in order to keep the Bonus Ball. Follow with a few
Rings and a line of Chips and Stars. Soon the camera will look behind NiGHTS,
you must head to the left and through the Rings. Then to the Right to grab the
Stars and Rings. Hit the switch to get more Chips and through the Rings. Hit
another switch to get more Chips. Then follow the path going through as many
Rings as you can. Soon you'll get out of the Ocean and 2 Stars will end your
exploration of Splash Garden.

Rings. Now you are at a interesting spot. Grab the 2 Stars and hit the Vine to
bounce to another vine grabbing 2 more Stars on the way, which will send you

Now this is important. To get a really big LINK, at the place where NiGHTS has
to Paraloop those Chips, Paraloop so that you don't grab any Chips in the
middle. When you're done with the Paraloop, the Chips in the middle should
follow you while you're going up to get those Stars.

Ring. Now fly out as soon as you get it. Start doing tricks while flying to
right. When you're done with that Stunt Ribbon, head through the next Acro
Ring. Do more tricks here. When you're done quickly fly to the right back to
the Ideya Palace. You know what to do from here right?

in an area where you're looking at NiGHTS from the top. Like that area in

making a circle to reveal some Chips. Paraloop them again and head to the

Do not get hit by any Spike Rings. They will ruin you.

should come to a group of Stars surrounded by Chips. You are done with Mare 1.

To get a good score, you must be fast. Paraloop those groups of Chips and

Mare 2 actually starts the same as Mare 1. So grab the Bonus Ball and paraloop
the group of Chips. Now this is where it goes in another direction. Soon you
should come to another Bonus Ball. Now this place is a little annoying. There
are rail road tracks going up and down. Around the tracks are Stars and Blue
Chips. When you grab the track you will spin and fly in the direction where
your Joy stick is pointing at. What you want to do is to get the Blue Chips.
Most of the Blue Chips are at the top. You could get 12 Blue Chips at the top
area. After the tracks, head through the Rings and enter the Ideya Capture.

Head North-East and enter the Acro Ring. Do as many tricks as you can. Now
follow the Rings and hit the Dash Ball to be sent through Stars and go through
the lone Ring. This ends Mare 2.

Just get through the Mare as fast as you can and enter the Acro Ring.

the way. Soon you should see the Ideya Capture, but you don't have enough Blue
Chips. Head under the Ideya Capture and you should see a group of Blue Chips
surrounded by snowballs. Do a Paraloop around them to get everything. Now go
down and break the Chip Box open. Head back to the Ideya Capture.

into a snowboard for Elliot to ride. You just have to move right or left. It's
not hard. Start by heading to the right grabbing Blue Chips and Stars on the
way. When you jump after the slope, follow the Stars from the right heading to
the right getting to Blue Chips. You should now get to a Bonus Ball. Head a

back to the Ideya Palace. You could do a huge Paraloop here to gather the
Stars around here. Go past the Ideya Palace and go through the 4 Rings. Head
through the Dash Ball and enter the Rings. Now enter the Ideya Capture.

Fly to the right and up the hill to go through 3 Rings. Then just fly into the
Ideya Capture.

Now fly downward and enter the 3 Rings here. You should see a group of Stars
with a Chip in the middle. Just Dash through them and enter the 2 Rings.
You'll also get a Bonus Ball in the process. You should now bounce up grabbing
Chips on the way. Go through the 4 Rings. Fly downward and through the 2 Rings
here. Go under the monument or whatever and grab the Chips here and enter the
Rings. Hit the Dash Ball to be sent to 3 more Rings. To another set of Rings.
Ending the Mare with a group of Stars.

This is a really easy Mare. Just be speedy. If you do this area right, you can
get a really big LINK.

to some more Blue Chips floating. Enter the Rings as you go. You can Dash into
the ground to make some of the Blue Chips in the ground to come up. When you
have 20 Blue Chips continue to the right to open a door to the Ideya Capture.

In the Saturn Version there is something called the Stunt Mode. It basically
replaces the Stunt Ribbon in this Dream. It's also the same in the PS2 version
also, but I can't seem to get it right. I hit the ground and bounce up and
start doing tricks, but I can't continue it. If you know the solution to this
please E-mail me. I know it works for the Saturn version. I'm asking for the
PS2 version.

After the Ideya Capture room it's the Stunt room. Well I don't know how to
continue those Stunts, so we're just going to move on. You can try if you want
you might find the solution.

Just follow to the right collecting Chips, Stars, and going through Rings.
Soon you'll get out of the Museum and back into the garden. Hit the Dash Ball
and you'll be sent to the top to a group of Chips and Stars. Follow to the
right to a group of Stars. Paraloop them to end the Mare.

of the Rings that have Blue Chips inside. After the Rings are buildings. You
should bounce off of 5 buildings in total. You might also get the Bonus Ball
if you were to the left. Go through the Rings and grab the group of Blue Chips
and a lone Star. You should now bounce off a Dash Ball. Paraloop the group of
Blue Chips if you still don't have 20 and fly to the right. You can go through
some of those Rings on the way. Dash through the Stars and you're back at the
Ideya Palace. Head to the right and enter the Ideya Capture.

up following more Rings. On the way are some Blue Chips. Grab them. When the
Rings go down, Paraloop the lone Star to reveal Blue Chips. Now head to the
right and out of the Museum. Bounce up from the monument thing to a group of
Blue Chips and a lone Star. Head to the right and enter the last Ideya Capture
in this Dream.

Nothing much from the Ideya Palace. Just fly low, so you don't hit any Spike
Rings. There are some Rings on the way. To end the Mare is a group of Stars.

crazy canyon. Big giagantic magnets and Catapault Coasters are some of the
attractions to this place. Especially the Magnetic Force Machine that makes
NiGHTS into a magnet are one of the severe traps this place has in store for.
Fly through the traps of Stick Canyon...

the mountain and head to the right. Move the camera around to find a group of
Blue Chips in the air. Triple Jump to get them. Head to the Ideya Palace.

Fly to the right and Paraloop the group of Blue Chips and a Star in the middle
like always. Fly through the Rings to the right and grab the Blue Chips after
the Rings. Go through the Rings afterwards and go downward. Enter the Ideya
Capture.

Now go all the way down and take some of the Chips and go through the Rings.
Head upward and take the Chips above the Magnet. Repeat again with the Chips
under the Magnet. Now head to the right to be back at the Ideya Palace. Now
this is where the fun begins. Instead of going to the right. We're going back
to the left. Why? because you have a better chance of keeping your LINKS. It
will feel weird at first, but you'll get used to it. Go take the Chips at the
Magnet thing and head downwards through the Rings. Go up and through one Ring
here to keep your LINK. Go upward as fast as you can and enter the Rings and
follow the Rings back to the Ideya Palace.

through the Rings to the Green Ideya Capture. Fly under it to see 3 more Blue
Chips. Grab them and head to the Ideya Capture.

Warning!!! To the right of the Ideya Capture is the Catapault Coaster ride. Do
not touch it.

Head downwards to the right and enter the Rings. Keep going upward to the
right to more Rings. Keep going right and you'll start to remember this place
from Mare 1. Just follow the Rings and when you get the Bonus Ball, go through
the Rings and head to your right through these Rings and fly down to the Rings
that will finish the Bonus. Fly to the right to finish the Mare.

Fly to the right and through the Rings. Following the Rings are 3 Blue Chips.
Maneuver your way through the path to a huge magnet. Just hit the switch at
top to move on. Grabbing Blue Chips on the way. Dash through the wall that's
in your way. Grab the Blue Chips on top. Head downward to 2 Rings and to the
Magnetic Force Machine. Now fly around while Rings, Chips, and Stars stick to
you. Maneuver your way through the Construction Site to the Machine that
counts how much stuff you have with you. If you hit walls on the way, you'll
lose stuff. Head through the machine. Now grab the Blue Chips and enter the
Ideya Capture.

Fly to the right and take the Stars. Go through the Rings and follow the path
to an Acro Ring. Do a tricks while heading to the right. You're back at the
Ideya Palace. Go through the Mare back to the Acro Ring. Do more tricks. When
you go through the Mare the 3rd time. Head back. Do you remember seeing an
Acro Ring while you were a Magnet? Head there and enter the Acro Ring and do
more tricks. Head back to the Acro Ring that's close to the Ideya Palace to do
more tricks. That should finish the time for this Mare.

Head to the right and hit the Dash Ball. Grab the 3 Blue Chips. Hit the next
Dash Ball you see. Follow the path to some Blue Chips. Head to the right to
enter the Construction Zone. You must head up this tower? thing. While going
up, things will fall from the sky. If you hit one of these things you'll lose
5 seconds. So try not to get hit. The tower will beep? when the things fall.
So take cover. On the way are Rings, Stars, Blue Chips, and Spike Rings. There
is also a Chip Box. So get that. When you get to the top follow the Rings to
the Ideya Capture.

Bonus Time
***********

Take the Chips right next to you and hit the Dash Ball to be sent to the
Catapault Coaster. This can be fun and annoying at the same time. On the way
down are Rings, Stars, and Chips. Control NiGHTS with the Directional Pad.
Your mission is to get a big LINK here. Easier said than done. This thing is
hard to control. Try to maneuver it, so you can get most of the things you
want. Just so you know, this is a one time ride. You don't have time to go
back up that tower and go on the ride. This ride is about 50 seconds long. You
will only have about 20 seconds left after the ride. This is without getting
hit by any of the stuff that fell from the sky or getting hit by the Spike
Ring. What you can do is to go around the area here and go through any Rings
you see. That's about it.

Open Ctrl + F and type in Rala to Reala's Strategy.

Twin Seeds is the actual level. This is in the air of Mare. Fly through the
Night Sky as Claris or Elliot and find NiGHTS.

Before you start let me tell you some things. In this Dream, you're actually
flying over Twin Seeds. Oh and you're not going to Dualize with NiGHTS. You're
going to be Claris or Elliot the whole time. Well you'll be NiGHTS in the
Nightmare, but that's the end. So Claris or Elliot can fly now. What's
different is that they don't leave Twinkle Dusts. Which means you can't make
Paraloops. You can still Drill Dash and stuff. Just make sure when you grab
Blue Chips you actually grab them.

Ideya
******

Start by walking towards the Ideya Palace. You'll now be thrown away from the
Ideya Palace by Wizeman. Now walk to the right and jump off. Yes jump off.
You'll start flying.

Fly to the right and grab the Bonus Ball. Hit the Dash Ball to be sent to 3
Blue Chips and 6 Stars. Fly under the Ideya Capture and grab the Bonus Ball
and fly through all the Rings. Now grab all the Stars and Blue Chips. Remember
you cannot make a Paraloop to suck them all up. Now keep going through the
Rings to a Dash Ball with 6 Stars around it. Keep flying to the right to a
cool set of Rings with 6 Blue Chips in the middle. You should have 16 Blue
Chips now. Keep going right to 2 Rings and 2 Blue Chips in the middle of the
Rings. Head down and go through the Rings. Now fly up to get your last 2 Blue
Chips that are inside 2 Rings. Fly to the right and hit the Dash Ball to be
sent to the Ideya Capture.

Fly to the right to come across some Rings that makes a loop. Pretty cool. Go
through all 8 Rings and head to the right to another cool looking loop made by
Rings. Fly under the Ideya Capture and hit the switch.  Hit the Dash ball to
be sent upward through some Rings with 4 Blue Chips. Oh some Stars will be
falling from the sky. This is because of the switch you hit. Go through the
Spike Ring and break through the Chip Box. Head through the Spike Ring
following the Chip Box. Hit the switch and head downward and grab the Bonus
Ball. Do a loop around the Dash Ball grabbing every Star and Blue Chip. Head
through the Rings from here as the Rings get smaller. You'll end up at the
Ideya Capture.

Fly upward and hit the switch. Soon Stars will fall from the sky. Grab as many
as you can while heading right until you come to a Bonus Ball. Grab the Bonus
Ball and follow through the Rings which will take you to 3 Blue Chips and 4
Stars. Keep going through the Rings. Head through the 2 Rings that come right
after and hit the Dash Ball. There are some Stars right next to the Dash Ball
that should follow you. Head through the Rings that you see. There are Stars
in the middle of the Rings. There are 3 sets of these. Fly under the Ideya
Capture and go through all the Rings you see. You should also get some Blue
Chips. You should come across a line of Balloons. Drill Dash through them to
get some Blue Chips. Head through the Rings and hit the Dash Ball. You'll come
across another line of Balloons. Drill Dash though to get all 20 Blue Chips.
From here head through a Ring then a Spike Ring then another Ring. In between
are some Blue Chips. Now fly to the Ideya Capture. Just fly to the right until
you come to it.

Now fly upward until you see 5 Rings and 3 Blue Chips in the middle. Head
through the Rings and fly down to see a line of Blue Chips going down. Which
will take you to a Ring then a Spike Ring following with more Rings. You
should come to a Dash Ball that will send you up. Now fly to the right while
Drill Dashing through Balloons. When you see a Ring head through it and go
downward to find the last Ideya Capture.

Now you should be flying towards the Ideya Palace. There's a barrier around
the Palace. What should we do? Touch Dash it a couple times. Soon Elliot or
Claris will come flying from the left to break the barrier with you. Touch
Dash a couple times to break it open. Head inside the Ideya Palace to finish
Twin Seeds.

Open Ctrl + F and type in Wzmn to Wizeman's Strategy.

14. Boss Strategies                                                      Bosss

There are many ways of defeating these Nightmarens, but these are the
strategies that I use to defeat them.

==============================================================================
14.    a. Gillwing                                                        Glwg
==============================================================================

You just have to touch his face and Dash through. It gets rid of one of his
body parts. Do this 21 times.

No really you're not going to do that. There's a quicker way. Just Dash to the
right and under Gillwing. Now after you're under Gillwing(While still Dashing)
count about 3 seconds. As soon as that time passes. Fly up and make a U turn
and make a big Paraloop. That should get rid of at least 19 of his body parts.
If you're lucky you can defeat him in one shot, but that won't happen a lot.
I only did this once.

14.    b. Puffy                                                           Pffy
==============================================================================

You just have to send her to the back of the room.

Dash at Puffy and release the instant you touch her. This should send her
through a wall. Now grab her again and send her upwards through the next wall.
Keep sending her to the otherside. Push her through the next wall. Now grab
her and send her straight into the hole in the next wall. Now send her
through the next wall. Grab her one more time and send her into the trap at
the end of the room.

14.    c. Gulpo                                                           Glpo

This is a tough boss battle. You have to push Gulpo out of the aquatic
chamber. You have to get inside the fishes that are around the chamber. Then
you dash through the chamber. If you shoot at the right time, you'll push
Gulpo. Keep repeating and sooner or later, he'll be out of the chamber.

14.    d. Klawz                                                           Klwz
==============================================================================

Klawz will always run from you. There are also mouses that are like bombs.
Klawz will jump on top of these mouses and light them. What you have to do is
to Drill Dash or Paraloop the lit mouses. When you do this, this gets rid of
the places Klawz can move to. Drill Dash him when he can't move anywhere else.

14.    e. Jackle                                                          Jckl
==============================================================================

Jackle is one of the coolest Nightmarens. He throws Cards at you to attack. He
also has a cape. This cape is like a barrier. Hit him once to get his cape off
him. Then repeat this 4 times.

He's usually on the left. Start Dashing at him. When he starts throwing cards,
stop dashing. Just go up, down, then up to dodge the cards. Grab Jackle and
get him out of his cape. Dash up to him and throw him straight up or straight
down, so that he doesn't fly too far. Repeat.

14.    f. Reala                                                           Rala
==============================================================================

Reala is one of my favorite Nightmarens. Well that went down after playing
Journey of Dreams, but he's still cool. Reala is just like NiGHTS. Reala can
Paraloop, Drill Dash, Touch Dash all that stuff.

When you see Reala flying at you, Drill Dash towards Reala. When he's close,
make a U turn and make a giant Paraloop. If you did it right, Reala should
get hit by the Paraloop. Repeat this two more times.

14.    g. Wizeman                                                         Wzmn
==============================================================================

The final Nightmaren. He's huge. He is the creator of Nightmarens all that
stuff.

He'll start by throwing rocks at you. Just fly high or low to dodge this
attack. When you get to Wizeman wait until the other NiGHTS comes and when
you're both touching the barrier Dash through to damage Wizeman.

Wizeman will fly to the otherside. He'll then send rows of floating rocks
going up and down. Just go up or down for these floating rocks. Wait for the
other NiGHTS to come to attack.

Wizeman will fly to the otherside again. He'll now throw snowball like ice
balls. Fly about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom to dodge most of the ice
balls easily.

Wizeman will fly to the otherside for the last time. Wizeman will now send
twisters. Just fly in the middle or the gap of that twister to get through the
twisters. Attack Wizeman with the other NiGHTS for the last time to finish.
