"You'll be playing this for a while"
This is one of the best games that are coming out this year, hand down. The single player campaign is challenging, the enemy AI is very tactical and can kill you pretty easily if you are not careful. Playing through the game is no breeze, unless you choose easy mode. There are always difficult parts in the game. There are parts in the game where you are just in awe of what is happening,
The story continues with Halo 3. The last in the trilogy. It really is remarkable and amazing how the game is finally coming to an end. In Halo 3, you are finishing the fight with everything that has been bought up in previous games. The Arbiter is on your side now, and helps you fight occasionally. The various new weapons and equipment is very to try out and sometimes necessary in order to push forward in the campaign. From the bubble shield to the invincibility, these options are very cool to use in the game. As you play through, you will encounter many enemies and be able to get a pretty good experience of using all the new features in Halo 3. From all the new vehicles to how new weapons are tweaked. Fans of the previous two Halos will love the story as it progresses through and have fun while doing so. Some may be disappointed by the ending, but that doesn't matter as much as the total gameplay.
The online multiplayer is amazing. It has so much to offer it is hard to get through it all. For one, the big addition is the Forge mode where you are able to customize MANY things about each map. You can adjust spawn points, weapons/vehicle spawns/locations, and various objects. This really adds to how the game can be played making customization almost limitless. Also, with the new enhanced options of a game time, like adjusting gravity, there is even more to add. The new online matchmaking is very cool. It is very similar to Halo 2's matchmaking, which is a good thing. Players can make parties and enter into battle with people similar to their own skill level, which, yes, there is an element of levels again. This isn't entirely bad, people being matched with other people their skill level, but, as of now, it can take up to 10 minutes to find a match. This doesn't happen often, but occasionally it does. Lag CAN be an issue if you do not have a good enough connection, so just make sure you do, and hopefully the other players will as well.
All of the maps in Halo 3 are interesting and fun to play. A few remakes including Lockout and Zanzibar, along with many other new maps for people to experience. Also, the various other equipment able to be picked up, like a regenerator, which makes your shield go up very quickly when standing in range of it. Play it, and you will find a much different Multi-player experience. It is still the old Halo you know, but now with a bit different element of play, similar to Shadowrun's.
All in all, Halo 3 is a great game. If for some reason you don't have it already, then you should get it ASAP. It takes advantage the 360's power and presents you with top-tier gameplay and graphics. Overall all, on everything, this deserves a 10/10.
