""Finish the Fight"...In a Short, But Impressive Kind of Way."
POINT OF GAME: Shoot! Shoot like you've never shot before!!! Master Chief returns one more time in this impressive third installment to the Halo series. The Covenant and the Flood threaten to destroy humanity and the galaxy with the activation of the Halo rings. It's up to Master Chief and his access to an impressive array of weapons to stop them.
GRAPHICS: Fantastic! Textures and spectacular effects on the vehicles and weapons look terrific. Environments are colorful and really impressive. Character animations are a little lacking, but good. The character models are just fantastic, very real-looking and simply amazing. However, the faces of many characters (especially marines) look a little bad.
SOUND: Once again, another impressive collection of music by Martin O'Donnell. Sound effects are simply incredible and the quality is superb. The dialogue is also very nicely done. Very epic and very impressive voice-acting.
ENTERTAINMENT: The On-line multiplayer is one of the best out there and is very addicting. The Campaign falls a little short, unfortunately, but is otherwise impressive and fun to play. It takes a lot a split-second thinking and major strategy to defeat your opponents, especially in on-line multiplayer and Heroic/Legendary campaign levels. One of the funnest games I've ever played.
REPLAY: 5 out of 5
One of the best shooters out there and you'll remember this and the entire series as a timeless classic, but what will really keep you playing this game is the on-line multiplayer.
THE GOOD: The graphics look fantastic. The sound is absolutely superb (especially the music) and the entertainment never ends. The campaign is fun, but a little short (to get the most time out of it, play on Heroic or Legendary). The real charm of this game is the impressive and widely popular on-line multiplayer.
THE BAD: The campaign is a little short and the faces of the character models could have been a lot better.
THE BOTTOM-LINE: The game is a must-have. Not just because the franchise is so widely popular, but because the on-line multiplayer will have you up for hours on those weekends (or weekdays if you don't care much about school or if you don't have a job). I know I keep repeating this, but the campaign is a little short, but fun nonetheless. The graphics are damn near perfect and the sound is just fantastic. Bungie has done it again and created an impressive game. Not exactly perfect though, but excellent!
