Level 4 spells take a long time to charge. Why are you sitting there vulnerable so long to raise some dead?

My personal combo is Time Freeze level one, just tapping it is enough. Charge to level 2 Raise Dead. Then, depending on the monsters, and how close together they are, it is a targeted or ranged Inferno/Shock of level 3 or higher. With the Raise Dead cast, the monsters attack you a lot less, and you are free to just walk into the middle of the group and charge up a full Level 5 shock to hit all of them, if you are in the right spot. I've read some variants, such as Time Freeze at level 3, such that a Level 1 Time Freeze gives you enough time to charge a Level 3 Time Freeze, which gives you enough time to charge a Level 5 Damage Spell.

Usually summoning the monsters around you and walking around is enough to distract the monsters from hitting you while you charge up to a level 5 spell. Few things can survive a fully charged area effect level 5 shock, and even if they do, they are vulnerable to sword swings for the next 5 seconds.

To answer your 8 month old question directly, it doesn't suck, you just aren't using it right.
