  3. Additional Details:
ok i found a solution. I can buy a case on ebay for like two bucks then buy a lap top sata hard drive and install it in the case. on ebay there are different size cases. 120 GB 60 GB etc. Does this mean it can only use those certain hard drives or is that what was originally in those cases. Also would this work. If it would work would i be able to use a terabyte harddrive or is 250 GB the highest?

  1. You can use other Hard Drives, BUT Microsoft is only allowing you to use up to 16GB of space on a Hard Drive for Xbox 360 stuff. It won't let you use more then that.

You SHOULD be able to use it for games and features that require a HDD like Halo Multiplayer, Xbox games, etc.

But, it's best just to get a 120 or 250gb Xbox 360 Hard Drive and just use that. More space, and it's the official Hard Drive, so everything will work fine.

  2. You can use certain models of Western Digital laptop hard drives and modify their firmware so that the console recognizes them. Mind you, you can only use HDD's sizes that are currently available for the console, so you can go 20, 60, 120 and 250GB and nothing else. There's plenty of tutorials on how to do this on the internet, just do a google search and read on.
