The Land Shark Attacks - bd001

==========================================================================

"It comes once a year, with the eerie purple cloud. This misfortune has
continued now for ten years."

THE PURPLE CLOUD ROLLS INTO TOWN AND THE TOWNSPEOPLE RUN FOR SAFETY.
SHU RUNS IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, TOWARDS THE CLOUD.

Townsperson: The Land Shark is coming!

  Townsperson: Hurry to the shelter!

Shu's Grandfather: Shu! Where are you? He... he wouldn't...!

THE TOWNSPEOPLE, GATHERED AT THE SHELTER, PRAY FOR SAFETY AS THE GROUND
SWELLS AND THE LAND SHARK'S FIN CUTS THROUGH THE SAND, DESTROYING
ANYTHING IN ITS PATH.

(As Shu's grandfather, Fushira, talk to the people gathered around.)

Toyote: Spirits of the land, please calm your anger...

Elder Koppose: Fushira, relax. In a time like this, us older guys
                  need to keep our composure.

Fushira: I'm looking for Shu. I have no time to relax. Besides, why
don't you take your own advice and sit down.

Balt: Fushira, looks like we have another mess on our hands again
         this year.

Fushira: Balt, you haven't seen Shu, have you?

Balt: Your grandson? Now that you mention it, I guess I haven't. Why
don't you ask around a bit more?

Lao: There's nobody left below. Everyone made it to safety.

Fushira: Hmm... I can't seem to find my grandson, Shu.

Lao: Shu? He must be around here somewhere. Try asking other people.

Jiro's Mother: It's been like this the last ten years.

Fushira: You haven't seen Shu around, have you?

Jiro's Mother: Shu is missing? Our Jiro is also off somewhere.

Jiro's Father: We have no choice but to be patient. If we wait here
long enough, the Land Shark will eventually go away.

Fushira: You haven't seen Shu, have you?

Jiro's Father: Your grandson, Shu? I haven't seen him, but our son Jiro
                 is also missing.

Fana: How long is this misery going to continue?

  Landan: It's destroyed everything.

Fushira: Landan, pull yourself together. For your newborn daughter's sake
           at least.

Landan: That's right! I have to protect my family.

  Laala: (baby sounds)

Fushira: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle her.

Lailala: Don't worry about it, Fushira. Did I hear that Shu is missing?
I'm sure he's hiding somewhere safe.

Shifer: I won't let the Land Shark get my dog! I'm gonna hold him real
          tight.

(After talking to everybody...)

Lao: Hey! Down there! Who is that?

Baruto: Fushira, isn't that your grandson?

  Fushira: What? Shu!?

THE LAND SHARK SMASHES ANOTHER HOUSE AS SHU APPROACHES IT, SWORD AT HIS
SIDE.

Shu: Come and get me, Land Shark! You're mine!

(Approach the Land Shark.)

JIRO APPEARS FROM BEHIND A BUSH.

Jiro: Shu, it's all up to you. Everything's ready on this side. Do it
        just like we planned.

  Shu: All right, got it!

  Jiro's Mother: Jiro!

Jiro's Father: What do they think they're doing?

Jiro: Father! Mother! Watch! We're gonna get rid of the Land Shark!

Jiro's Mother: What are you talking about?

Jiro's Father: Stop it! Come back! You can't possibly stop a monster
                 like that.

  Fushira: Shu...

Shu: We won't know if we can or can't unless we try!

(Fight the Land Shark.)

Shu: Damn! It's skin is too hard.

Jiro: Shu, do you see that red light in the left side? Aim for that!

(Aim for the red light.)

SHU'S SWORD BREAKS IN HALF AND HE FALLS TO THE GROUND.

Jiro: Shu, relax! If you don't follow the plan, it's all for nothing.

  Shu: You'll never beat me.

SHU STANDS UP AND THE LAND SHARK RACES TOWARDS HIM.

Jiro: What are you doing? Hurry up and run!

SHU PULLS OUT A SHORT KNIFE.

Jiro: What do you THINK you're going to do with that tiny little thing?
        Shu, hurry up and run!

Shu: I'm not running away. I can't rest until I make at least a scratch
        on this thing. Ahhhhhhh!!

SHU RUNS, KNIFE DRAWN, AT THE LAND SHARK. KLUKE, HIDING IN THE BUSHES,
THROWS SOMETHING AT THE LAND SHARK, DISTRACTING IT AND MAKING IT CHASE HER
INSTEAD.

  Shu: Kluke?

(Talk to Jiro)

Jiro: Shu, we have to do it just like we planned. You get close to the
front of the Land Shark and then lure him over here. It's dangerous
if you're slow getting out of the way, but I know you can do it!

Shu: Hey, leave it to me!

  Jiro: What about Kluke?

  Shu: Kluke, go back.

Kluke: Is that how you talk to someone who saved your hide?

  Shu: It's dangerous here.

Kluke: But, I want to avenge my parent's deaths.

(Talk to Kluke)

Kluke: Shu, I know it's dangerous being the bait, but hang in there!

(Approach the Land Shark)

THE LAND SHARK MAKES A BEELINE FOR SHU.

  Shu: It's coming!

  Kluke: Got it!

  Jiro: We're ready!

JIRO AND KLUKE CUT TWO ROPES, MAKING A HUGE NET POP UP FROM THE SAND. THE
LAND SHARK GETS CAUGHT IN THE NET AND IMPALES ITSELF ON SOME WOODEN STAKES.
IT STOPS.

Shu: So, Land Shark, it's time to make your peace with the world because
        I'm gonna fillet ya!

(Talk to Kluke)

Kluke: Thank you, Shu! I'm sure my mom and dad are looking down on us
         with joy.

(Talk to Jiro)

Jiro: Nice job, Shu! Let's get a closer look at it.

APPROACH THE LAND SHARK AND THE TREES SUPPORTING THE NET BREAK AND THE
SHARK PRESSES FORWARD.

Shu: Don't let it get away!

SHU GRABS PART OF THE NET AND GETS DRAGGED BEHIND THE LAND SHARK.

  Kluke: You're crazy!

JIRO GRABS SHU AND KLUKE GRABS ONTO JIRO AND ALL THREE OF THEM ARE PULLED
BEHIND THE LAND SHARK.

  Fushira: Shu!

  Jiro's Father: Jiro!

MEANWHILE, BEHIND THE LAND SHARK...

  Shu: Stop already!

Jiro: Kluke, don't worry about us. Let go!

Kluke: If I let go of you here I'll die.

THE LAND SHARK APPROACHES A HUGE HOLE IN THE GROUND AND SHU, JIRO AND
KLUKE ARE PULLED DOWN INTO IT.

             Ancient Ruins Cavern - bd002

==========================================================================

(Approach Jiro and Kluke)

  Shu: Jiro... Kluke...

KLUKE AND JIRO STAND UP.

  Kluke: Where are we?

  Shu: Are you both OK?

  Kluke: I think so.

Jiro: What about the Land Shark?

Shu: Don't worry. It looks all banged up.

  Jiro: Shu, this is...

  Shu: Yeah, the ancient ruins.

  Kluke: Ancient ruins?

Shu: Jiro and I are always exploring around here. That net was made from
metal we found in the ruins.

  Jiro: That's right.

Kluke: Wait, I thought that the ruins were off limits.

Shu: That's what makes it fun!

Kluke: Jiro, if you insist on following Shu around like this, you're
         gonna need more lives.

Jiro: But, I wanted to kill the Land Shark... for you, Kluke.

  Kluke: Really?

Jiro: Um, well, yeah, for you and the other people in the village.
Many people lost their families to the Land Shark. I couldn't
justify always running away and hiding. Shu didn't make
me do this. It was my idea.

Kluke: Sorry, I didn't know... But, I just wish you had included me
in your plan from the start.

Shu: It doesn't matter now. We three stopped the Land Shark!

Kluke: Just for a moment, though.

Jiro: There might have been some errors in my calculations.

Shu: Kluke, watch what you say.

  Kluke: Sorry.

Shu: Jiro, you and I have been all over the ruins, but I'm pretty sure
       we've never been here before.

Jiro: I think there are probably a lot of places we haven't been to yet.
It's not so strange, I guess.

JIRO AND KLUKE JOINED YOUR PARTY.

(Fight the snake creature.)

AFTER THE BATTLE...

  Shu: What was that?

Jiro: I've never seen a monster like that before.

Kluke: We're pretty far underground, aren't we?

Jiro: We have to find a way out.

(Walk around and explore the cavern)
(Check the treasure chest surrounded by a blue field...)

Shu: Jiro, any idea what this is?

Jiro: Hmmm, I've never seen anything like this before.

Kluke: Jiro, finding a way out of here is our main priority.

  Jiro: Ok, sorry Kluke.

(Keep exploring and opening up treasure chests until one appears in the
middle. Open it.)

THE GROUND SHAKES AS THE LAND SHARK RISES FROM UNDER THE SAND. IT SHAKES
OFF ITS ROCK EXTERIOR TO REVEAL AN AIRCRAFT UNDERNEATH.

  Kluke: The Land Shark is...

AS THE LAND SHARK RISES FURTHER INTO THE AIR, THEY REALIZE THAT THEY ARE
STANDING ON IT. IT TAKES THEM UP, BUT KLUKE LOSES HER BALANCE AND FALLS
OFF. SHU REACHES AND CATCHES HER. THE LAND SHARK GOES OUT THE OPENING
IN THE ROOF OF THE CAVERN.

  Shu: What's going on?

THE LAND SHARK PASSES THROUGH THE PURPLE CLOUD AND ENTERS A FLOATING AIR
STATION, THE GIANT MECHAT.

==========================================================================

                      Giant Mechat - bd003
==========================================================================

(Approach the main door in the hangar)

Jiro: I think that we're in the Land Shark's secret base.

Kluke: Secret base? In the sky?

Shu: If that's so, we have to be careful. Don't leave my side.

Kluke: You think you're so cool, don't ya?

Shu: That's got nothing to do with it.

THERE'S A LOUD SOUND.

  Shu: What was that?

SHU, JIRO AND KLUKE ARE CAPTURED BY SOME CLAW MECHS.

  Shu: Oh...!!

  Kluke: What are these things?

  Shu: Let us go!

THE THREE CHARACTERS ARE THROWN INTO A CHUTE. THEY TRAVEL THROUGH A TUBE
AND WHEN THEY EMERGE...

  Shu: Owwwww....

MECHA GENERAL SZABO APPROACHES THEM.

Shu: Who do you think you are?

THE GENERAL PULLS A GUN ON SHU.

General Szabo: Your insolence will not be tolerated.

Nene: Szabo, stop it. They may be scum, but they are guests.

  Deathroy: Guests!

Nene: It is I who invited them here.

  General Szabo: My apologies.

Nene: I didn't think it would be children baring their teeth at me.

  Deathroy: Hehehehe! Children! Children! Children!

Nene: That's enough. Only children dare to take such drastic measures.

Shu: You're controlling the Land Shark, aren't you!

  Nene: Land Shark?

  Deathroy: Land Shark?

Nene: So that's what you call it in your world. So, tell me, wasn't it
at least a little fun having the Land Shark pay you a visit once
         a year?

  Shu: Shut your face!!

SHU CHARGES AT NENE, BUT NENE'S SHADOW APPEARS AND A BATTLE BEGINS.

THE PARTY IS DEFEATED. AFTER THE BATTLE...

Nene: They're corrupt... and they've not a shard of intelligence between
         them. Will they really do?

  Jiro: Shu, are you OK?

  Kluke: Pull yourself together.

Shu: I'm fine. That didn't hurt at all. You can't beat me!

Kluke: If you really are controlling the Land Shark, then you are the
          one who killed my parents.

Jiro: Why do you attack our village?

Nene: I want to hear your screams....

  Kluke: You're joking...

  Shu: Dammit!

Nene: Enough! Szabo, dispose of them.

GENERAL SZABO PICKS UP SHU AND JIRO. THE FLOOR OPENS AND KLUKE FALLS
THROUGH IT. GENERAL SZABO THROWS SHU AND JIRO IN AFTER HER. A PORTAL
OPENS IN THE SIDE OF THE AIRSHIP AND THEY FREEFALL DOWN TOWARDS THE
GROUND.

  Jiro: Help us!!!

Shu: There's no way, no way, NO WAY you're going to beat me.

ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY START FLOATING BACK UP TOWARDS THE SHIP.

  Kluke: Why?

Jiro: I feel like I'm being pulled.

Shu: I got it! It's because I said that he couldn't beat me.

Jiro: I don't care why it is as long as it saves us.

THEY FLY INTO THE TOP AREA OF THE AIRSHIP.

(Look around and open the treasure chests. After obtaining the stone
necklace a tutorial begins.)

(Head to the center of the room and...)

  Shu: What is this?

EACH CHARACTER GRABS A FLOATING, GLOWING SPHERE.

Voice: Those spheres are to be swallowed.

Shu: Huh? Did you hear that?

  Jiro: I heard it.

Kluke: A voice inside our heads.

Shu: Who are you? Where are you? Show yourself!

Voice: Don't be afraid. I'm am your ally.

  Jiro: Ally?

  Kluke: Can we trust it?

  Jiro: I think so.

Shu: If you are our ally, show yourself!

  Kluke: Somebody's coming!

A GROUP OF ROBOTS APPEARS IN THE ROOM.

(Fight them.)
(After the fight, leave the room.)
(In the next room...)

JIRO LOOKS AT A HANDLE ON THE WALL.

  Jiro: Let's shut the door.

  Shu: Got it!

(Press A repeatedly to turn the handle.)

Shu: It's hard to turn!!! Hurry up and close already!

(If a robot gets through, you have to fight them.)

SHU MANAGES TO SHUT THE DOOR.

  Shu: Phew..... we made it.

THE ROBOTS START TO BREAK THROUGH THE DOOR.

  Kluke: Oh, no!

Jiro: They're gonna come through it.

Shu: They don't give up, do they?

SHU TURNS AROUND AND SPOTS AN AIRSHIP.

Shu: It looks like the Land Shark, just smaller.

Jiro: If we use it, we should be able to escape from here.

Kluke: How do we operate it?

  Shu: Leave it to me!

  Jiro: And if you fail?

Voice: Swallow the spheres of light.

Shu: You again? Who are you? If you're watching us, you could at least
       give us a hand.

Voice: It's not time yet for me to reveal myself.

  Kluke: That's why it's suspicious.

THE ROBOTS BREAK THROUGH A LITTLE BIT MORE.

  Shu: We don't have time!

Voice: Swallow the spheres of light. If you do, you'll be able to
         operate the Mechat.

THE HANGAR BAY DOOR SWINGS OPEN.

  Shu: So that's it?

Jiro: Looks like we have no choice but to trust the voice.

Kluke: Strange voice person, if anything bad happens to us, it'll be
         all your fault.

SWALLOW THE SPHERE? YES/NO

Shu: 3-2-1, swallow! Ah, It burns!

  Jiro: I'm dying!

Kluke: It hurts! This can't be anything good.

SHADOWS START TO GROW FROM THE CHARACTERS' BACKS.

  Shu: What the..? My shadow...

  Jiro: Mine, too.

  Kluke: What's happening?

THE SHADOWS EMERGE FROM THE GROUND AND ROAR.

  Jiro: What's going on?

Shu: Strange voice person, tell us what the hell is happening!

THE ROBOTS FINALLY BREAK THROUGH THE DOOR.

(Fight the robots.)
(During the fight...)

  Shu: Wow!

  Jiro: Awesome!

(Defeat the rest of the robots.)

APPROACH THE MECHAT AND A HORDE OF ROBOTS COME MARCHING IN.

Jiro: Ahh, there's too many of them.

  Kluke: Hurry, hurry!

  Shu: Let's go!

THE MECHAT TAKES OFF AND PASSES THROUGH THE PURPLE CLOUD INTO A BEAUTIFUL
BLUE SKY.

  Kluke: You're actually flying it.

Shu: At least, I think so.

THE MECHAT STRIKES THE SIDE OF THE CANYON AND LOSES A WING, CAUSING IT TO
CRASH.

  Shu: I can't lose!!!

Jiro: It looks like you're going to.

Kluke: Let's get out of here quick!

THEY RUN FROM THE MECHAT JUST AS IT EXPLODES.

  Shu: Are you two alive?

  Jiro: ..yeah...

  Kluke: What happened? Ouch!

  Jiro: Kluke!

A BRIGHT LIGHT STARTS TO SHINE FROM JIRO'S CHEST. HIS DRAGON APPEARS AND
IT HEALS KLUKE.

Kluke: Wow, it doesn't hurt at all. I'm all better! Thanks, Jiro!

  Jiro: Me?

Shu: It had to be you. You healed her. You used your shadow.

  Jiro: It must be magic.

  Kluke: Probably.

Jiro: I was thinking that I wanted to do something to heal your wounds.
And then, the shadow appeared. It felt like it was doing exactly
what I was thinking in my heart.

Kluke: So, your heart used the power of the shadow?

  Shu: That must be it!

Jiro: This power is probably manipulated through feelings.

Shu: Enough about that. I'm thirsty.

Jiro: Shu, there's a waterfall over there.

(Drink the water in the spring)

(HP and MP Restored.)

Shu: Wow! This water tastes great!

Jiro: I sense the same kind of magic as before.

Kluke: Yeah, this is really strange water.

Shu: All right! Now that we're all energized, let's get back to Tata
       Village.

  Jiro: Sounds good.

(Push over a broken piece of the Mechat to leave the area.)

(In the field...)

Kluke: I wonder if we can get it?

Jiro: If we use our heads, we'll find a way.

(Push over the dead tree.)

Shu: The tree fell over. Now we can climb up there.

(Keep moving forward and you wil see the blue rat monster.)

Shu: Up ahead... that looks kinda dangerous.

Kluke: We have to be careful.

(Make your way through the field...)

  Jiro: Is everyone OK?

JIRO'S SHADOW APPEARS AND HEALS THE PARTY.

Shu: (to Kluke) How come we can't use that kind of magic?

  Kluke: Healing magic?

Shu: Yeah, all we have is offensive magic, but Jiro is almost all
healing magic. Maybe the types we can use are already decided.

Shu: We'll worry about that later. Let's keep moving.

==========================================================================

Sheep Tribe Camp - Wilderness bd006
==========================================================================

  Jiro: It's a sheep camp!

  Shu: We're saved!

Kluke: Let's rest here for a little while.

Sheep: Welcome to the Sheep Camp! Don't forget to use this SAVE POINT.
Oh, yeah! I heard that you can save anytime on the World Map.
         Convenient, huh?

  Sheep: Welcome to our camp!

(Examine the Warp Monument)

Sheep: That's an ancient machine, there. Hard to believe it's still
moving. But, what the heck is it?

Sheep: murmur... murmur..... I used too much this month.... murmur...
... Looks like I'll have to dip into my nest egg.... murmur...
Um... where did I stash it again?..... I think it's in tree
         outside of camp.... murmur

Sheep: This is the Wilderness Sheep Camp. There are other sheep camps
spread throughout the world. We sheep are wanderers.

Kluke: That's cool that you wander all over the world.

Sheep: You look like you're travelers yourself. If you should come
across our friends, please tell them that we're fine.

Item Shop Sheep: Did you know you could change your battle formation?
Offensive power falls if you're in the back row, but defense
         goes up quite a bit.

(Item Shop List)

Medicine (Recover 30 HP) 30 Gold
Magic Medicine (Recover 20 MP) 250 Gold
Phoenix Claw (Revive a fallen member) 100 Gold
Odor Remover (Recover from "Smelly" status) 20 Gold
Garlic (Recover 100 HP, but become "Smelly") 80 Gold

Sheep: It's hard not being able to see the ones you love. Mine went
into the Forest of the Dead to pick some medicinal grass for
         me.

Sheep: Since that purple cloud appeared three days ago, lots of strange
         things have been happening.

Sheep: Also, that growling sound started after the cloud appeared. And
that crazy Tonpa, who went to see what the growling sound was,
         hasn't come back yet.

Sheep: Crazy Tonpa hasn't returned yet and we're all worried. If you
see him, please let us know.

Shu: You can count on us!

Knitting Sheep: Sheep are good at knitting. Wherever we go, we're
                  always making something.

Inn Sheep: Welcome. Do you want to stay? It's 18 Gold per night.
              (YES/NO)

By the way, do you know about the Configure menu? You can
do things like change the buttons, make the screen
brighter or even change the word size. Try it out!

Spellbook Sheep: I don't sell it in my store, but there's a thing called
the "Ancient Dictionary". If you use it during a battle, you
can learn various things. You should check to see if you
              picked it up somewhere.

(Spell List)

   Black Lv 1/ Flare
   Black Lv 1/ Water
   Power Lv 1/ Slow
   Armor Lv 1/ Shield

Equipment Sheep: Equipment made from the stones and metals of the
ancients can increase your power during battle. Bracelets
increase attack power. Necklaces increase defense. The
ancients also used rings to make their magic stronger and
wore earrings to protect against magic attacks.

(Equipment Shop List)

   Stone Bracelet 100 Gold
   Stone Ring 80 Gold
   Stone Necklace 150 Gold
   Stone Earring 60 Gold

Sheep: I've got a little problem.

  Shu: What's the matter?

Sheep: There are a lot of monsters in the wilderness that are
poisonous. But, I don't have enough antidotes. You have some,
don't you? Could you give me some? Of course, I'll give you
something in return. I'll give you an item for every antidote
you give me. OK? (Give/Don't Give) Great! Thank you! Now I can
have a worry-free trip. I'll give you this. (Phoenix Claw)
If you find any more antidotes, please bring them here.

Sheep: Let me impart upon you some secret tips for fighting monsters.
When the monster's not watching you should CHOP! Get behind them
and CHOP! Of course, you should only use it when you really want
         to destroy your opponent.

Shu: Woah!! What is this? I've never seen such a huge hole before!

Jiro: And it's deep, too! Why is there such a giant hole here...?

(Make your way through the Lot Wilderness until you come across Tonpa.)

Tonpa: Hey!! Save me!! There's a hu----ge monster around here. You
couldn't possibly, maybe, get rid of it for me, could ya?

  Shu: Huge monster?

  Kluke: That sound?

THE DINOSAUR LIKE CREATURE APPEARS AND BATTLE STARTS.

  Kluke: It sure is big.

Jiro: This is no time to be impressed. How are we suppossed to fight
        it?

Jiro: It's no good. The head is too high. I can't reach it! Wait, if
we use magic we can probably reach it.

AFTER THE BATTLE...

Tonpa: Wow, you guys are good. I was in a pickle back there. Thanks
          for saving me.

Kluke: Mr. Sheep-man, are you ok? Everyone is worried about you back at
         the camp.

Tonpa: I'm fine, of course. I am Tonpa, the bravest sheep in the camp.

Shu: Brave? Is that what you call it?

Tonpa: Hey, are you fellas headed that way?

Jiro: Yeah, it's the only way back to the Tata Village.

Tonpa: Gotcha. Here's something to express my thanks.

YOU GOT THE LIGHT CRYSTAL AND SHADOW CRYSTAL.

Tonpa: I'm heading back to camp. Thanks for everything.

(Head towards the middle of the area and you'll come across the drill
machine.)

  Shu: Woah!

  Kluke: Awesome machine.

Jiro: This thing must have drilled all those holes.

Kluke: I wonder if HE is controlling this, just like the Land Shark?

Shu: He can't be planning to use this in our village!

Jiro: Don't panic. Let's get in and take a look. Maybe we can use
magic to start it up. Then we can use it to get back to our
        village.

  Shu: Jiro, nice thinking.

INSIDE THE DRILL MACHINE...

  Kluke: It's moving!

Robot #18: Welcome. These are things my masters used. They should have

reduce the time needed before you can act. This is

Do you want to heal yourself with hypnotic radio waves?
                 It costs 18 Gold.

(Ride the elevators and fight the robots until you come to one by some
treasure chests.)

Robot: Treasure.... It's my treasure.... You came to steal my treasure,
         didn't you?

(Defeat the treasure hoarding robot.)

Shu: So, do you give up?

Robot: I do. My apologies. You may have my treasure.

to the cockpit. I'm really sorry. Really. This here is a Warp
Monument. Insert the warp clip to activate it.

Robot: Again, I'm really sorry. I collected those Warp Clips from all
over the world. There should be as many warp monuments as there
are clips. Including this one, there are 23 warp monuments.

(Make your way to the cockpit.)

VOICES CAN BE HEARD COMING FROM THE COCKPIT.

Marumaro: Who are you? Stay out of Maro's way!

  Shu: Maro?

  Jiro: Isn't that Nene's voice?

Shu: But, Nene didn't ever call himself Maro.

Kluke: And it's not the voice from the spheres.

A ROBOT APPEARS.

  Shu: There's one!

Kluke: If they're here, maybe the person whos voice that is is Nene's
         ally.

Jiro: Good. We can ask him how to find Nene.

  Shu: Let's go!

(Fight the robots.)

Shu: Were they always that weak?

Kluke: I think we got stronger.

Shu: Ah, that's right. Let's find out about Nene from whoever's behind
       that door.

(Enter the cockpit)

MARUMARO IS SITTING IN THE COCKPIT CHAIR.

Shu: Those clothes... you're a Devy, aren't you?

Marumaro: I told you not to get in my way!!

MARUMARO SUMMONS HIS SHADOW.

  Shu: He can use magic!

Jiro: He must be one of Nene's friends.

Marumaro: Don't lump me in with him!

(Fight Marumaro.)

MARUMARO SEES THE OTHER CHARACTERS' SHADOWS.

  Marumaro: You, too?

THE DRILL MACHINE STARTS TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY.

  Shu, Jiro and Kluke: Ahhhhhhhhh!!

  Marumaro: We must be there.

THE DRILL MACHINE FALLS DOWN A LONG SHAFT AND CRASHES AT THE BOTTOM.

  Shu: Ouch....

MARUMARO RUNS OUT THE DOOR.

  Shu: He's getting away!

Jiro: He's our key to finding Nene. But, I don't think he's an enemy.

  Shu: Why?

Jiro: He said, "Don't lump me in with him!" He knows Nene, but he
        definitely doesn't like him.

Kluke: Let's stop standing around talking and get moving.

(Leave the Drill Machine and enter the Ruins.)

Ancient Hospital Ruins - bd 008
==========================================================================

  Shu: Woah----!

Jiro: Ruins. I can't believe how far underground they are.

Shu: These are way different from the ones we explored in.

  Jiro: Yeah.

  Shu: Where did he go?

(Make your way through the Ancient Hospital)

(Enter the Operating Room...)

  Shu: What's wrong?

Kluke: This isn't any ordinary ruin. I looks like a hospital.

  Shu: Hospital?

Kluke: Yeah. This is where they must have treated sick and injured
people. My parents were doctors, right? The atmosphere is the
same. Hospitals' air has its own feeling.

Shu: Air or whatever, this is an ancient building.

Jiro: If this is an ancient hospital, what is that Devy planning on
doing here? I'm pretty sure that the Drill Machine doesn't
        belong to the Devy tribe.

Shu: He's got all the answers. We just have to ask.

JIRO STOPS NEAR A MACHINE.

  Jiro: Shu, wait up.

  Shu: What's up?

Jiro: Hold on. There's something about this machine.

  Shu: This machine....?

  Kluke: Shu, don't break it.

Shu: I'm not going to break it. Does it even work?

SHU PRESSES A BUTTON AND A BLUE LIGHT SURROUNDS HIM.

  Kluke: Wait! Shu!

  Jiro: Shu, are you OK?

Shu: I don't feel any different.

Kluke: Good. Try not to worry us like that, OK?

Jiro: Shu, we don't know what'll happen, so please try to not
        randomly press buttons.

Shu: Sorry. But, I feel pretty good.

Jiro: Are your injuries all healed?

Shu: Yeah, now that you mention it, they are.

Jiro: It looks like this machine is used to fix injuries. If anything
happens to us, let's use this machine to mend ourselves.

(At the door in the Hospital Director's Office...)

  Shu: It won't budge.

Jiro: There's got to be some way to open this door around here.

(When you come upon the fire and ice monsters...)

Jiro: They're fighting over that space. Those two look like they
        really don't get along.

Shu: Great! Let's start a fight.

(When you enter the pitch black room...)

  Shu: It's so dark, I can't see a thing.

Jiro: There's probably a light switch around here somewhere.

(In the Control Room...)

Kluke: This room is different from the others we've seen.

Jiro: I think it might me this building's control room.

Shu: If that's so, let's play with everything and see what happens.

(The far left switch restores power to the elevator.)

(After finding the key...)

Jiro: It looks like we can open the door in the Director's Office
        with this key.

Shu: Where was the Director's Office?

Jiro: If we leave this room and go right, we should be at the
        Director's Office.

Shu: All right then, let's try it out.

(Back at the Hospital Director's Office door...)

  Shu: It won't budge.

Jiro: How about trying the key we picked up?

  Shu: Yeah, right.

(At the elevator...)

Shu: It looks like we can use it.

(When you come to the room where Marumaro is fighting a fire and ice
monster...)

WILL YOU HELP HIM? YES/NO

(Select YES and the battle begins)

Shu: Huh? I thought those two didn't get along.

  Jiro: I thought so, too...

Jiro: It uses Barrier to change it's body type. When it's Ice Wolf,
        use fire...

(After the battle...)

Kluke: (to Marumaro) Are you hurt?

Marumaro: I didn't ask you to help me!

Shu: We didn't need to be asked.

Marumaro: What do you think you're doing with that hand?

Kluke: It's called a handshake. I thought we maybe could get along.
It's a greeting of ours. You Devy don't do this?

  Marumaro: We Devys dance!

  Shu: Dance?

Marumaro: The Devy clan friendship dance!

  Shu: What's your name?

  Marumaro: Marumaro!

Kluke: Marumaro... why do you have to shout everything you say?

  Marumaro: I don't know.

Shu: You can use magic, right? Did you swallow one of those spheres?
       Or are you Nene's friend?

Marumaro: Why would I be friends with someone like that? OUT--OF--
            THE--QUESTION!!!!!!!!!

Shu: I got it, sorry. I'll apologize if you stop with the shouting.

Kluke: He kinda sounds like you, Shu.

Jiro: Marumaro, what's with the machine? You didn't build it, did you?

Marumaro: Ah! That's right! I have no time to play with you. I'm
            looking for some medicine.

  Kluke: Medicine? What kind?

Marumaro: Don't follow me! If I don't hurry up and find the medicine,
my mother and all the other villagers will die!

Shu: You can relax. We'll help you look.

  Jiro: That's right.

Kluke: It's better than looking alone, isn't it?

  Marumaro: Do what you want.

(Follow Marumaro)

Shu: Don't be so stubborn. What if another monster attacks you?

  Marumaro: Blahblahblah!!

Jiro: Hey, it's a Warp Monument. Let's insert one of the Warp Clips.

(Go through the door...)

Marumaro: It's here!

Kluke: It's ancient medicine, right? Can you still use it?

Marumaro: That guy said I could still use it.

Shu: What guy?

Marumaro: That guy!

Shu: Not Nene, right?

Marumaro: Forget about that now.

Shu: Hey, Marumaro...

Kluke: Shu, let it be for now.

Shu: But...

Kluke: I'm sure he has his reasons. He said that if he found the
medicine, he could save the people in his village, right?

Jiro: Yeah.

(Search for the medicine)

Marumaro: Here it is! I found it! This is the special remedy! Now I
can cure everyone in the village. We don't have time!

  Shu: Marumaro, wait!

THE DRILL MACHINE POPS OUT OF THE GROUND.

  Marumaro: Everyone, hold on!!

THE DRILL MACHINE FINALLY COMES TO A REST IN LAGO VILLAGE.

==========================================================================

                   Lago Village - bd009
==========================================================================

BLACK SMOKE POURS OUT OF THE DRILL MACHINE.

Jiro: I guess it overheated. That's what happens at that speed. I don't
think we'll be able to use it again.

(Approach Marumaro.)

Mayor: Marumaro, is this the medicine?

  Marumaro: Yep!

Mayor: Good. Hurry up and take it to the others.

  Marumaro: You got it!

MARUMARO RUNS OFF. THE MAYOR ADDRESSES THE PARTY.

Mayor: And who might you be?

Jiro: We're from Tata Village. We ran into Marumaro and helped him
        find the medicine.

Mayor: Is that so? I've heard that Tata Village is in quite a
state after the Land Shark attack.

  Jiro: Yes.

Shu: (to Kluke) Except for Marumaro they all speak normally.

  Kluke: Yeah.

Jiro: I wonder what happened here. It must be something really bad if
        they needed that ancient medicine.

Mayor: I see that Marumaro hasn't filled you in.

Shu: He just ran around screaming that he needed to save everyone. He
wouldn't tell us any more than that.

  Mayor: I see.

(Talk to the other Devy people.)

  Mayor: Please come inside.

Devy Man: It's been a long time since we've had humans visit us here.

Devy Girl: This is the first tragedy we've ever faced.

Devy Boy: Most of the villagers are really sick. I'm not sure why
            we haven't, though.

Accessory Seller: I hope the medicine that Marumaro brought works.

Item Seller: We need a really special kind of medicine.

(Enter the building.)

INSIDE THE BUILDING IS THE REST OF THE VILLAGERS, BED-RIDDEN AND
WRITHING.

Kluke: Oh my god... Is it the flu?

Mayor: I'm not sure. People started getting sick all of a sudden
about 3 days ago. We don't know what caused it, but you can
         see the results.

Kluke: Have you ever seen these symptoms before?

Mayor: No, I've never seen anything like it. Our doctors are also
         quite baffled.

Shu: I can see why Marumaro was in such a hurry.

Jiro: Yeah, this is really bad.

AN OLDER DEVY APPRAOCHES HOLDING A CUP.

Kluke: Is that the medicine that Marumaro brought back?

Mayor: Yes. Let's just hope it works.

THE PATIENTS DRINK THE MEDICINE.

  Shu: (to Marumaro) Marumaro...

Baby Devys: Maro, Mommy and Daddy will get better, right?

  Marumaro: Yes!

MARUMARO GIVES THE CUP OF MEDICINE TO HIS MOTHER AND FATHER. BUT,
THEY GRAB THEIR THROATS AND COUGH EVEN HARDER THAN THEY WERE BEFORE.

Marumaro: Mom! Dad! Why? He said that if you drank that you'd be
            cured instantly.

  Shu: What's happening to everyone?

Jiro: Everybody's the same. They took the medicine but it only made
        them sicker.

  Kluke: Why?

Shu: Marumaro, you didn't take the wrong medicine, did you?

Marumaro: Of course I didn't. He told me to find the jar that had
that mark on it. He said it was the Special Medicine.

  Marumaro's Siblings: Maro.....

A DEVY RUNS IN FROM OUTSIDE.

  Devy Man: Mayor! The sky!

Mayor: The sky? What about the sky?

Devy Man: There's a huge purple cloud approaching.

(Talk to the Devys before heading outside...)

Devy: There's gotta be a way to cure this sickness. We can't give up!

Sick Devy: I used to be so strong, but now I can't even get out of this
             bed.

Devy: That purple cloud must be causing this.

Mayor: A purple cloud appeared outside. The last thing we need is
         more trouble.

Sick Devy: Ohhhhh, it hurts. Help me! I don't want to die.

Spell Book Seller: Uncle, hang in there! (to Shu) I usually sell
Spell Books, but they'd be no good in a time like this.

Sick Devy: It's tough for all the adults to be sick, but I feel
even worse for the children and old people.

Devy: The medicine has no effect. Why could this be?

Accessory Seller: People started dropping like flies after the purple
             cloud appeared in the village.

Sick Devy: I'm sure there's a ton of washing waiting for me. That's all I
             keep worrying about.

Devy Child: Hey, mister, am I gonna die?

Devy: My son is so sick. I wish I knew how to make him better.

Sick Devy: Please, help me. I'm not ready to die.

Sick Devy: If I knew I was gonna end up like this, I would have done
             more with my life.

Sick Devy: My whole body hurts and I can't sleep.

Sick Devy: Dammit! I won't let this sickness get me!

Sick Devy: It's over. I don't have much time left.

Marupin: Don't cry. We're men and men don't cry. We're gonna be strong
          like our brother Marumaro.

Marutra: Maro, don't worry about Mom and Dad. We'll watch over them.

Maruphini: I know that you'll find the medicine that'll make everyone
            better.

Marumini: I bring fresh flowers everyday hoping that everyone will get
           better soon.

Marupon: I hope we can still play hide and seek when everyone gets
           better.

Marumira: I've been taking care of the cleaning and the laundry. Mom
and Dad will get better, right?

Marumaro: Purple cloud.... it's the cloud that's making everyone sick.

Marumaro's Father: Please tell Marumaro to not worry about just us. The
whole village is counting on him.

Marumaro's Mother: Maro is a brave boy. I'm so relieved that the kids
            are safe.

(Approach the altar)

Jiro: This is a place to pray. Let's come check it out again later
        when Marumaro is with us.

(Go outside)

THE PURPLE CLOUD COMES ROLLING INTO THE VILLAGE.

  Shu: Nene...

THE GIANT MECHAT DECENDS FROM THE SKY.

  Marumaro: You lied to me!!

AN ELECTRIC SHOCK STARTS TO RUN THROUGH MARUMARO'S BODY.

  Jiro: Marumaro, what's wrong?

  Marumaro: I can't move...

NENE AND GENERAL SZABO RIDE A YELLOW LIGHT DOWN TO THE GROUND.

  Shu: So, we meet again.

THE PARTY MEMBERS UNLEASH THEIR SHADOWS.

Shu: Be careful. It's magic is still stronger than ours. Got it?

Marumaro: Hey, you! You lied to me! YOU LIED!!!

Shu: Marumaro, leave it to us.

Jiro: We'll attack him all at once.

  Kluke: Got it.

THE SHADOWS RUSH AT NENE, BUT NENE'S EYES FLASH RED AND THE SHADOWS
ARE REPELLED.

  Marumaro: No!

NENE TRAPS MARUMARO IN A BLUE FORCEFIELD. GENERAL SZABO TAKES THE ANCIENT
MEDICINE FROM MARUMARO'S HANDS.

Marumaro: Ah! What are you doing?

Nene: I didn't lie. This medicine is necessary. That's why I had you
        find it.

GENERAL SZABO HANDS NENE A GLASS.

  Szabo: Here, my lord.

Nene: This is it. It shines....

NENE TAKES A DRINK.

  Szabo: How is it, sir?

NENE STARTS TO GLOW PURPLE.

Nene: Even this is no good.

NENE SMASHES THE GLASS ON THE GROUND.

  Marumaro: You tricked me!

Shu: Nene, you're the one doing this to the Devy people, aren't you?
You said that you like to hear people scream. You made these
people sick just so you could hear their agony, didn't you?

Nene: And if I say yes?

  Shu: Then I'll crush you!

Marumaro: Is this really all your fault?

Nene: This is the only way.

  Deathroy: The only way!

THE YELLOW LIGHT APPEARS AGAIN AND TRANSPORTS NENE BACK UP INTO THE SHIP.

Marumaro: Wait! Tell me where the real medicine is!

THE GIANT MECHAT AND THE PURPLE CLOUD DISAPPEAR.

Shu: Nene! The next time we meet will be the last. Got it!

Jiro: What was he trying to do with that medicine?

Kluke: The village people are suffering. To use it all...

MARUMARO RUNS OFF SCREAMING.

  Shu: Marumaro...

Jiro: Shu, let's catch up to Marumaro.

(Head up the steps)

Marupon: I wanted to play with Maro. Where'd he go?

Maruphini: I haven't seen Maro that upset since the time he had to
             go without dinner.

Marutra: Maro was running towards the cliff.

Accessory Dealer: I know that my people are suffering, but I don't
know how to help them. I figured I'd do some work and maybe
           it would come to me.

  (Equipment List)

   Gold Bracelet 400 Gold
   Gold Ring 450 Gold
   Gold Necklace 600 Gold
   Gold Earring 320 Gold

Marumira: Maro usually goes to the cliff when he wants to be alone.

Devy Shut-in: I don't know, nor do I want to know, anything about
what's going on in the village.

Marupin: Maro was crying. Stop bullying him!

Marumini: Was that Maro that just ran by here? It's dark so I couldn't
            really see.

(Find and talk to Marumaro.)

Marumaro: Everyone's going to die. They'll die!!

Shu: Marumaro, keep your head up. Don't just say that they're going
to die. Don't just assume that you've lost. We haven't. There
has to be a way to save everyone. There's no time to cry. We
have to find a way to save your people. They're all hanging in
       there, waiting.

  Marumaro: Shu...

Jiro: He's right, Marumaro. We can use magic. Let's try using it to
heal the people. Or we could go back to the ruins and look for
        other medicines.

Kluke: Marumaro.... I've seen those symptoms before.

  Marumaro: Really?

BACK IN THE BUILDING WITH THE SICK PEOPLE...

Kluke: My father once examined a man who had eczema like this. It was
the same color and about the same shape. He had touched a poison
flower in the forest. But, if you make a tea from that flower's
leaves, you can cure the poison.

Shu: So we should search for that leaf, right? Kluke, where can we
       find it?

  Kluke: Sorry, I don't know.

Shu: Then what good is it?

Kluke: Sorry. I was little at the time so I don't remember.

Mayor: I've seen that leaf before in the Forest of the Dead to the
south. It's far in the swamp. The area around it is pretty
         overgrown.

Shu: Marumaro, let's go there together.

MARUMARO JOINS THE PARTY.

Marumaro: I was out hunting when everyone got sick. Three days ago, a
purple mist like that cloud came into the village. Everyone
who came in contact with the mist fell down. I heard that my
Mom and Dad had gotten sick, so I rushed back to the village.
I didn't know what to do. I thought that I'd get something for
the people to eat, so they could get their strength back. And
when I went outside, he showed up. He said that if I found
the ancient medicine that was in the ruins, I could save
everyone. So, to save the village, I swallowed the sphere.
Because of that I was able to use magic and that strange
shadow. I was also able to operate machines by magic. But...
it was all lies. He wanted that medicine for himself.

  Jiro: But, it's strange.

  Shu: What is?

Jiro: If he knew where it was, how come he didn't go and find it by
        himself.

Mayor: The Undersea Cavern and the Forest of the Dead are full of danger.

Spell Book Seller: If you're really going to the Forest of the Dead, you
have to go through the Undersea Cavern. But, there lives a
four-headed
snake in the cave that's been known to attack people when it's
hungry. Be careful. It's a very vicious creature.

  (Spell List)

White Lv2 - Curakero (cure Toad status) 1000 Gold
White Lv2 - Genere (regenerate HP during battle) 1050 Gold
Black Lv2 - Ground (Earth magic) 850 Gold
Black Lv2 - Shadow (Dark magic) 1100 Gold
Power Lv1 - Sleep (Cause Sleep status) 450 Gold
Power Lv2 - Quick (Speed up actions) 950 Gold
Armor Lv1 - Shell (Increase magic protection) 500 Gold
Armor Lv2 - Floor (Set up a floor that causes damage) 900 Gold

(Outside, talk to the Devy guarding the gate)

Devy: Are you really headed to the Forest of the Dead? I know you can
use magic, but it's really not a place for kids. You look pretty
set on going, though. So, I'll stop talking. If you want to go
to the Undersea Cavern, take a right after you leave the village
        and keep going straight.

(Make your way to the Undersea Caverns)

==========================================================================

                  Undersea Caverns - bd010
==========================================================================

SOMEWHERE IN THE CAVERN...

Jiro: Those must be the Hermit Crap Crabs.

  Shu: What's that?

Jiro: They use poop in place of a shell.

A LITTLE FARTHER IN THE CAVERN...

  Jiro: Shu, look, it's a Grade-Up Box.

Shu: What do we do with it?

Jiro: If you put an item in, a different item comes out.

Shu: Really? Cool! Let's give it a try.

(WHAT ITEM DO YOU WANT TO PUT IN?)
      (MEDICINE)
      (SHADOW CRYSTAL)
      (LIGHT CRYSTAL)

WHEN YOU STUMBLE UPON THE LOCKED TREASURE CHEST...

  Shu: It won't open.

Jiro: It has the mark of a fish on the lock.

AFTER YOU FIND THE FISH-SHAPED KEY...

Shu: Cool! This key is shaped like a fish.

Jiro: It probably fits a treasure chest in this cave.

BACK AT THE TREASURE CHEST...

Jiro: Shu, I think you can use that key you picked up earlier.

OBTAIN THE SIX-SIDED CRYSTAL

  Shu: It's so shiny.

  Marumaro: Let me see!

  Kluke: It's beautiful!

Jiro: I've never seen a crystal shaped like this before. I wonder if
        we can use it somehow.

AT THE SIX-SIDED BARNACLE...

Shu: Wow, the opening in this barnacle is hexagonal.

Jiro: Let's try putting the crystal in it.

(In the next area, fight the four-headed snake.)
(After the battle make your way to the Sheep Camp.)

==========================================================================

                 Sheep Camp - Forest bd011
==========================================================================

Sheep: This is the Forest Sheep Camp. We Sheep travel from place to place
like a bunch of rolling stones. We are scattered all over the
         world.

Kluke: We ran into some Sheep in the Wilderness. Everybody was happy and
         healthy.

Sheep: That's great news. Please tell the others the same about us. And
to brush their teeth before bed.

(Activate the Warp Monument)

Sheep: Wow, you got it moving. And I thought it was just a piece of
         junk.

Sheep: Ever since that purple cloud appeared, the forest has gotten
way more dangerous. Also, the giant tree in the forest is getting
         weaker.

Sheep: You came to get the Gabo Leaf? Sorry, but the Gabo leaves in the
         forest are all withered.

Sheep: The ancient butterflies hover around invisible treasures. If you
kill them all, you should be able to get your hands on it.

Sheep: The Forest of the Dead is filled with monsters made from the
spirits of the dead who for reasons like despair and betrayal,
couldn't ascend to heaven. Even the benevolent King Kuful, who
ruled this area 500 years ago, is a ghost wandering the forest.

Sheep: The Forest of the Dead is really dangerous. If possible, I'd
rather not live here. But, we can harvest important herbs here,
so we braved the danger and set up camp.

Sheep: Do you know how to hit yourself? Use the Y Button to change your
target. If you are in a panic, have your allies hit you to cure
         it.

Sheep: Do you want to know how to check your status during battle? Press
either the LB or RB Buttons.

Sheep: I came here to pick herbs so I can heal the person I love. If you
are ever at the Wilderness camp, please give them this. I'm going
to stay here and keep picking herbs. But, I want to see him as
         soon as possible.

Sheep: In the Forest of the Dead is a tree that grows items. It's a
dangerous place, but there are some nice crops. See for yourself.
You'll find good items lying all around.

Sheep: Just like in love, on the battlefield it's important to have a
good diplomatic relationship with your allies. If you build-up
power you can have a strong attack, but in that same time you
can make a few simpler moves. Ah! I have to run after that
         person!

Sheep: If you use water on fire, the fire gets weaker. Use fire on fire,
and it just burns stronger. It's like that kid over there and her
love. If you come across a fire enemy, pour some water on it. But,
don't pour water on their love.

Sheep: By looking at those two I couldn't help but think that even if
the girl chasing that boy actually gets him, he could have 3
girlfriends if there were three girls chasing him. Hmm.... I
wonder if I can use this somehow on the battlefield....

Shu: We're supposed to find it from inside there?

  Jiro: Don't complain. Let's go.

Shu: I'm not complaining. Marumaro, I'll find that leaf for you. I
promise. There's no way I'll lose to Jiro.

Kluke: (to Jiro) I wonder why he has to make everything a competition.

(Talk to the Old Tree)

Old Tree: How much time has passed since they stole my soul I wonder.
Hello there, traveler. I couldn't possibly persuade you to
use your strange powers to recover my soul, could I?

(Approach the purple fog)

Jiro: This is no ordinary fog. Be on your guard.

(Find the tree's soul)

?: I want to go back... I want to go back... where is my body...?

(Take the soul back to the tree.)

Old Tree: Oh! That is my stolen soul. I'm very grateful. Here's what
            I'll do...

A BRIDGE RISES OUT OF THE SWAMP.

  Shu: Awesome!

Old Tree: I wish I could do more for you for retrieving my soul. Is
there no way I can be of assistance?

Jiro: Maybe you can tell us where we can find the Gabo leaf.

Old Tree: Gabo Leaf? Yes, it does grow in this forest. However, because
of the poison fog, you cannot reach it.

  Shu: What should we do?

Old Tree: The cause of the poison fog is a machine to the north. If you
can stop the machine, the fog should clear. Once you get rid
of the fog, return here. I will tell you the location of the
            Gabo Leaf.

(At the Old Tree after shutting off the fog machine.)

Old Tree: I see you cleared the fog. I am amazed by your power.

  Shu: Um... Ah...

Kluke: This is no time to be embarrassed. Please tell us where the
         Gabo Leaf is.

Old Tree: Ah, yes... the Gabo Leaf. There is a bridge near the place
where you found my soul. Cross the bridge and it should be
            there. Take great care...

(Approach the Gabo Flowers)

Voice: You wretched souls who come seeking the Gabo Leaf...

Marumaro: We need it to save everybody!

Voice: You are filled with greed. You desire everything. You want to
make everything yours. You're just like us!

(After taking the Gabo Leaf..)

  Shu: Let's get back.

  Marumaro: Yeah.

Jiro: Shu, let's hurry back to Lago Village.

Shu: If we use the warp monument, we'll be there in a flash.

  Marumaro: Everyone, hold on!!

==========================================================================

                     Lago Village - bd013
==========================================================================

Gate Guard: Ah! It's the Gabo Leaf. I really didn't think you could
do it. But, you did. Now you can save the people. Hurry!

(In the building...)

THE SICK DEVY ARE DRINKING THE GABO LEAF TEA.

Marumaro: Dad, Mom, do you feel a change? Are you feeling better?

  Shu: Relax, Marumaro.

Jiro: Kluke said that they should drink the tea and then sleep for a
while. Then we'll see some changes.

Marumaro: Really? Then by tomorrow morning everyone will be all better!
            Right? Right? Right?

  Kluke: It's ok. Don't worry.

NIGHT. MARUMARO FALLS OUT OF BED AND LANDS ON SHU.

Shu: Uwaa!! Marumaro...? He got me good... Kluke, Jiro?

KLUKE AND JIRO'S BEDS ARE EMPTY.

Shu: Kluke and Jiro are gone. I wonder where they went.

OUTSIDE MARUMARO'S HOUSE...

Accessory Seller: Hi, I just couldn't seem to get to sleep. I'm really
exited about tomorrow. A little scared, too.

ENTER THE COMMUNAL BUILDING...

Jiro: Kluke, I've got tomorrow's batch all ready to go.

Kluke: Thanks. I've wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid. There are
a lot of patients, especially since it's my first time treating
         people.

Jiro: You can say that again.

  Kluke: Thankfully, everyone is sleeping.

Jiro: What about you? Can't you sleep?

  Kluke: Speak for yourself.

Jiro: I was worried about you because you were up.

  Kluke: Thanks.

JIRO AND KLUKE ARE OUTSIDE STARING AT THE MOON...

Kluke: To tell you the truth, I'm really scared.

  Jiro: Scared?

  Kluke: Yeah, about the morning.

Jiro: Because then we'll know if the medicine worked or not, right?

Kluke: Yeah... I was only 8 when my Dad treated that patient. What if I'm
         remembering things wrong?

  Jiro: I'm sure it's OK.

Kluke: I told Marumaro it would absolutely work. What if it doesn't
absolutely work? I have this feeling that I hold these people's
lives in my hands. It's scary. That's why I can't sleep.

Jiro: You should try to get some rest, though. We'll still have to care
for everybody, even if they are all better.

Kluke: Thanks for making me feel better, Jiro.

Jiro: I was worried about you.

  Kluke: Thanks.

Jiro: Kluke, you're always trying so hard. You know, if you feel like
crying, it's OK to cry in front of us, you know.

  Kluke: Yeah, I guess so.

Jiro: I heard you cry by yourself sometimes.

  Kluke: Hmm?

  Jiro: Shu told me.

  Kluke: You guys knew, huh?

Jiro: Tears flush away all the sadness and pain, so it's OK to cry as
        much as you need to.

  Kluke: Jiro, thank you.

THE NEXT MORNING...

  Marumaro: Yay!!!!!!! Yay! Yay!!!

Marumaro's Father: Ah!!! I'm all better!

Marumaro's Mother: I feel so strong!

  Marumaro's Siblings: Mommy!! Daddy!!

Marumaro's Father: I feel so full of life and power. Mother, I think I
feel energetic enough to increase the number of our kids by one
         or two.

Marumaro's Mother: Father, you're so wild!

Marumaro's Father: Come, let's dance! We'll dance the Devy Family Dance
                     of Joy!

THE FAMILY STARTS TO DANCE.

Kluke: Marumaro, everything worked out great!

Marumaro: Thank you, Kluke! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Kluke: I know, I know. You don't have to scream in my ear.

Mayor: Thank you very much. And now we'll dance. It's our thanks to
         you!

(Talk to the Devys)

Mayor: Thank you again. We owe you our lives. If you ever need our help,
please don't hesitate to ask. We'll do whatever we can to help.

Devy: If only I were ten years younger. I used to be the best dancer in
        the village.

Devy: That girl Kluke is great! I'm sure she'll make a great doctor
        someday!

Devy: I'm so happy to be able to see the big blue sky and the wide open
        land again.

Devy: You guys are the best!

Spell Seller: You really saved me. It wasn't just a dream.

Devy: The village got it's old life back again. I want to thank you, but
        don't have the words...

Devy Child: I can't dance yet. I hope I can learn to soon!

Devy: I feel so refreshed. Thank you.

Devy: It makes me so happy to see everybody smiling again.

Devy: You guys are really something! Please enjoy the dance.

Devy: To see everyone dancing like this again, it must be a dream.
        Thank you.

Accessory Seller: Thank you so much for saving the village. Come by my
        shop anytime.

OUTSIDE...

  Devy Child: Marumaro, come quick!

Marumaro: What is it? What's the matter?

SOME DEVY ARE GATHERED AROUND A JAR WITH A MARK ON IT.

  Devy: Marumaro, well done.

Marumaro: It's all thanks to my friends.

  Devy: Marumaro, look at this.

  Marumaro: What is it?

Devy: We just pulled it up front the bottom of the fountain.

  Marumaro: From the fountain?

Devy: Marumaro, take a good look at it. It has the same mark as the
drill machine that you got from that guy had.

  Group: Huh? Oh!

Jiro: So it was Nene who was making all the villagers sick.

  Shu: That bastard!

  Marumaro: Unacceptable!

Shu: Marumaro, leave the rest to us. We're going to make him pay for
what he did to our village.

Marumaro: I want to come, too!

Kluke: But, your Mom and Dad are all better now. Should you stay here
with them? A family should be together.

Marumaro: Now it's my turn to save you guys. Please take me. It's not
enough for me that just my people were saved.

Shu: OK, you can come with us.

(Talk to the Devys)

Devy: The Gulu mountain range is pretty far. Make sure you're well
        prepared before you leave.

Devy: You're already leaving the village? You should rest a while before
        you take off.

Devy: Marumaro is very brave. I'm sure he'll be an asset to you.

Devy: The other Devys are heading home through the Communal Building's
        back door.

(Check the altar)

Shu: Wow! What a huge statue! What is it?

Marumaro: It's our god. That statue has been there a really long time.

  Shu: That's a god?

Marumaro: Yeah, why? Something strange about it?

Jiro: It's not strange, it's just...

Shu: You guys worship odd things...

Kluke: It's less a god than a monster.

Marumaro: Are you guys making fun of my god?

Jiro: Sorry, Marumaro. It's just a lot different from our culture.

  Shu: Yeah...

  Kluke: Sorry, Marumaro.

Marumaro: Now that you mention it, this god is a little scary.

(Spell Shop List)

White Lv2 Z-Heal 1200 Gold (Heal the entire party slightly)
Black Lv2 Particle 1200 Gold (Absorb HP)
Power Lv2 Poison 850 Gold (Poison enemies)
Armor Lv2 Wall 1150 Gold (Protect against physical attacks)

Devy: To reach the Gulu Mountain Range, you need to take a left when you
leave the village, and then head north. Be careful.

Marupon: Spells have many strange powers. I'll teach you one that can
make you younger. "Su--maden-yobasa" Ah, we're still
           children.

Shu: If I get any younger, I'd be a baby.

  Marumaro: Ha! Shu's a baby!

Shu: You don't have any spells to make his voice quieter, do you?

  Marumaro: There's no such thing!

(Pray at all the altars in peoples' houses and then at the statue again
to get the Fire Ring.)

AT THE GATE...

Marumaro: Where are we headed again?

Jiro: Let's head back to our village.

  Shu: Yeah.

  Marumaro: Tata Village?

Jiro: We need to tell everyone about Nene and figure out a plan for
        fighting the Land Shark.

Kluke: Marumaro, do you know how to get to Tata Village from here?

Marumaro: I do! We need to go through the Gulu Mountain Range!

Mayor: You're going through the Gulu Mountains? I guess that is the only
way to get back to Tata Village.

  Marumaro: The only way!

  Mayor: Please remember this dance.

  Shu: Huh?

  Marumaro: This dance?

Mayor: That's it! Marumaro, that dance can break the spell on the rock
that is blocking the path to the Gulu Mountain.

  Marumaro: I got it!

Mayor: Good. Gulu Mountain is very dangerous. Please be careful.

(Talk to the Mayor again.)

Mayor: Please help yourself to our treasure chests. Oh, you already
have? Oh well, it's OK. Please use whatever was inside. You
were the ones who saved our village after all. Now the Unlock
Dance! Please help yourself to the treasures.

(All locked treasure chests are now unlocked.)

(Make your way to the rock blocking the Gulu Mountain path)

Jiro: This must be the entrance to the Gulu Mountains.

  Marumaro: Yep!

Shu: Do you remember that dance that the Mayor taught you?

  Marumaro: Yeah, I think so.

  Kluke: Marumaro, good luck!

MARUMARO DOES HIS DANCE AND THE ROCK SPLITS IN TWO.

Kluke: You did it! It opened!

  Shu: Marumaro, you're a genius!

  Marumaro: Yeah, I'm a genius!

Toripo: Hmm? Ah! I never thought I'd run into people in a place like
this. Anyway, it's been a few days at least. It's because of all
the monsters on the way here. What am I? Thanks for asking. I am
the world famous, great explorer Toripo. Huh? You've never heard
of me? Really? Well, anyway, I think luck brought us together
today. I trade items for medals. Would you like to have a look
at what I have? The price goes up each time you buy something.
There's a lot of valuable stuff here, so don't pass it up.

  (Item-Medal Exchange List)

Heart of Sword (Increases Sword category rank by 1)
Heart of Armor (Increases Armor category rank by 1)
Heart of Monk (Increases Monk category rank by 1)
Heart of Assassin (Increases Assassin category rank by 1)
Heart of Black (Increases Black category rank by 1)
Heart of White (Increases White category rank by 1)
Heart of Barrier (Increases Barrier category rank by 1)
Heart of Power (Increases Power category rank by 1)
Heart of Combination (Increases Combination category rank by 1)

Toripo: Well, I guess I'll be off. I'm headed for the Aurora Ruins.

   Shu: What a strange guy...

NEAR THE EXIT OF THE CAVE...

Kluke: Shu, Jiro, don't you think we can see Tata Village from over
         there?

OUTSIDE...

  Shu: We're home.

Jiro: I feel like we've been gone for ages.

  Kluke: I hope everyone's OK.

Marumaro: Let's go and find out.

  Jiro: Shu, let's hurry back.

  Shu: I'm with you.

BACK AT TATA VILLAGE...

Marumaro: Oh my!! It's really quiet. The Land Shark did all this
            damage?

  Shu: Grandpa..!

  Jiro: Mom!! Dad!!

(Enter the village...)

Shu: This is my grandpa's workshop.

(Read the letter on the table...)

       SHU, JIRO AND KLUKE,

WHEN YOU READ THIS LETTER, I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT WE ARE OK.
WE COULDN'T LIVE IN THIS VILLAGE ANY LONGER AND DECIDED TO FIND
A NEW PLACE. AFTER YOU LEFT, THE LAND SHARK ATTAKED THE VILLAGE
DAILY AND REDUCED IT TO IT'S PRESENT STATE. WE HAVE DECIDED TO
HEAD FOR Gibral CASTLE TOWN. THERE ARE MANY DANGERS ON THE ROAD
TO Gibral, BUT THEY ARE LESS FRIGHTFUL THAN THAT LAND SHARK. WE
ARE TAKING THE ROAD ALONG THE SEA, SO IF YOU FIND THIS LETTER,
HEAD FOR GIBRAL. EVERYONE IS PRAYING FOR YOUR SAFETY.

                                                 FUSHIRA

  Kluke: Gibral?

Marumaro: I don't know that place. Is it far?

Jiro: The path along the sea takes about 3 days. But, everyone's safe.
        That's a relief.

Shu: Not for me. If the whole village is moving, that means the children
       and babies, too.

Kluke: Landon just had a daughter. She's not even a month old yet.

Shu: Which means it'll take them more than 3 days.

Marumaro: Which means we can't stand around talking all day.

Shu: You're right. Let's go after them. If they get attacked by
       monsters, they're finished.

  Jiro: Wait.

  Shu: Why?

Jiro: If we're in a hurry, we should take the Mural Valley route.

  Shu: Huh? There?

Jiro: I'm sure the only reason the villagers chose the path along the
sea was because they were afraid of the Mural Valley.

  Marumaro: Why?

Jiro: Because the murals are alive. It's said that they attack and eat
        travelers.

Kluke: I've never seen them, but traveling salesmen often tell stories
         like that.

Shu: Let's go. Sounds like a plan.

YOU GOT FUSHIRA'S LETTER

(Walk around the village and explore the houses.)

(In Shu's house...)

  Shu: That's my house.

Shu: It smells like my grandpa. I hope I can see him soon.

Shu: It's my grandpa's special food.

(In Kluke's house...)

  Kluke: This is my house.

  Shu: I'm gonna eat this.

  Kluke: That's....

  Shu: Ewww... gross.

Kluke: Well, you can't win them all.

Shu: This bed smells like Kluke.

  Kluke: Shu, stop it.

Shu: Hey, do you wear makeup?

  Kluke: That's my mom's lipstick.

  Kluke: Stop! Don't open that!

Marumaro: What is this thin cloth?

  Kluke: Marumaro!

  Shu: These are adult's clothes.

Jiro: They must be Kluke's keepsakes of her parents.

(Check the diary..)

I KNOW THAT I'M NOT THE MOST TALKATIVE FATHER, SO I DECIDED TO KEEP ALL
OF MY FEELINGS IN THIS DIARY. HOPEFULLY, SOMEDAY I WILL SHOW IT TO YOU
AND YOU WILL KNOW HOW MUCH I THINK ABOUT YOU. I'M SURE YOU ALREADY KNOW,
THOUGH. I CAN SEE IT IN YOUR FACE, VOICE AND GESTURES. I LOVE YOU AS
MUCH AS YOU LOVE ME. THANK YOU.

(Another diary...)

KLUKE, TOMORROW YOU'LL BE 8. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW BIG YOU'VE GOTTEN. IT
SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY THAT YOU WERE BORN. YOU WERE ALWAYS A SICK CHILD
AND WE WERE ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT YOU. THANK YOU FOR GROWING OUT OF THAT
AND BECOMING SO HEALTHY. YOU ARE OUR TREASURE. YOU ARE THE MOST
BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE WORLD. IF YOU ARE NEAR I FEEL LIKE I AM THE
HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD. I ALWAYS PLACED KISSES ON YOUR SLEEPING
FACE. PLEASE KNOW THAT YOUR MOTHER NEVER WANTS YOU TO LOSE WHAT MAKES
   YOU SHINE.

(Jiro's house...)

  Jiro: This is my house.

Shu: Wow, these clothes look expensive.

  Jiro: They're not.

Shu: I don't know what any of this means.

Kluke: You read some really hard books, Jiro.

Kluke: You're house is so clean. Your mother does a great job keeping
         things in order.

  Jiro: Kluke...

Shu: My grandpa is horrible at it.

(Talk to the peddler..)

  Peddler: *cough* *cough*

  Shu: Are you OK?

Peddler: Yes, everything's great. Such delicious looking treats as you
strayed into my reach. (turns into a monster.)

(In the Inn...)

Polt: Somebody, help me. Is that you, Shu? Please help me.

Polt: Thanks for saving me. That monster locked me in here. And then
he attacked any person that came near. But thanks to you he's
gone. I know it's not much, but please take this. (Get the Earring
of Ordeals) I've decided to stay here and work until all the rest
of the villagers return. Do you want to buy anything? Or how about
        taking a rest?

(Spell List)

Power Lv1 Nonhit 550G (Reduces accuracy)
  Armor Lv1 Heal-up 650G (Increases recovery)

  Shu: Woah... awesome!

Jiro: I'd heard it was. And it truly is.

Kluke: So this wall... is alive?

Marumaro: What are you talking about... "alive"? Can't you see it's just
            a picture?

THE PICTURE MOVES AND ATTACKS THE PARTY.

Shu: Ah! A treasure chest appeared out of thin air.

Jiro: It appeared after we beat the mural monster. I wonder if there's
        some connection.

Kluke: Hey, this place creeps me out. Let's get out of here quick.

  Jiro: Yeah.

(After defeating the next mural monster...)

  Shu: There's another treasure chest.

Jiro: I bet a chest appears everytime we beat one of those monsters.

Shu: If that's so, let's wipe 'em all out.

Jiro: No, we don't have time for that. We're in a hurry, remember?

  Shu: You're right. Sorry.

(After some time...)

Shu: What? It's a dead end.

Kluke: We should go back to that last bridge we crossed.

(Even further in...)

  Kluke: Shu, wait.

  Shu: Kluke, what is it?

Kluke: Can we rest a minute?

Jiro: That's a good idea. We've been walking nonstop.

  Marumaro: I'm pooped.

Shu: But, Jiro, don't we still have a ways to go?

Jiro: It's still a ways past this valley. This looks like a good place
to rest, but we should be out of this valley before long.

Shu: All right then, everyone just hang in there a little bit longer.

  Kluke: Ok.

Marumaro: I'll hang in there, too!

THE PARTY GAZES UPON SOME MURALS ON THE WALLS OF THE BUILDING.

Shu: Aren't these murals monsters, too?

Jiro: These murals are alive, or should I say living.

Kluke: Did the ancients draw these pictures? It's looking at me.

  Shu: Yeah.

THE CREATURE IN THE MURAL BLINKS.

  Mural Monster: How's it going?

  Shu: It spoke!

Mural Monster: Hey, girl. What's your name?

  Kluke: Kluke.

Mural Monster: Kluke. What a lovely name. Everybody, come here. It's
been years since we've had visitors.

Kluke: Wow, there's so many of them.

(Talk to the living murals...)

Living Mural: Hey, there's no need to be afraid. We can't leave this
                place.

Living Mural: This is the first time I ever thought it would be great
to have a body. Then I could get next to her...

Living Mural Child: Mom, there's some strange thing looking at me.

Living Mural Woman: The others in here are despicable. They'll come
on to any young thing that struts in here.

Living Mural Man: Long time since we've had visitors. There used to be
people passing through here all the time. I remember
well an armor clad soldier who came through here about
300 years ago. He was like the embodiment of justice,
but was betrayed by a companion who was jealous of his
fame. He was beheaded for a crime he didn't commit.
It's said that he still wanders the street that leads
                   to Gibral.

Living Mural Woman: I better not catch you making eyes at my man!

Living Mural Man: You guys are so lucky. You get to travel around with
                    her.

(Examine the black monument in the middle of the room...)

Momument: Welcome, newcomers. I should tell you more about this place.
If you are wise, you will lend me your ears. Long ago, this
world was ruled by magic. Those who could control the strongest
magics became kings and their families ruled for generations.
This absolute rule by magic lead to births of those weak in
magic. Those unable to use magic were subject to intense
discrimination. The king was hurt by this discrimination. To
assist those who couldn't use magic, he created machines. The
machines advanced rapidly. Finally, in a fusion with magic,
an eternal engine was created. However, the weak were destined
            to be destroyed.

  Shu: What's that picture?

Kluke: It looks like a war.

Monument: At first it was a small war. Soon, it enveloped the world.

Jiro: That's how everyone was killed?

Monument: History is to be told, to look hard at. Search for the answers
yourself. I have fulfilled my purpose. Please continue towards
            the center.

(In the newly opened room there is an item, equipment and spell dealer)

(Spell List)

  Mythril Ring 750G

Living Mural Man: We are living drawings. We were drawn about 100,000
                    years ago.

Living Mural Man: To use your words, those ancient dudes drew these
pictures to tell their kids about the past. Yo.

Living Mural Woman: They say that it was someone using a machine to
amplify their own magic power that brought an end to
                    the world.

Monument: Welcome to the Moire Village. These living murals were created
to tell the stories of the past for all time. Please enjoy
            them.

(In the next room there are 3 treasure chests surrounded by different color
barriers.)

Monument: This room's characteristic atmosphere represents the old life
            that we used to know.

Living Mural Kid: Birds don't fly on really windy days. They look free
but, they're controlled by the wind. Hey, see that square
box over there. Know what that is?

Jiro: That's a warp monument. You can use magic to return here whenever.

Living Mural Kid: I've been watching it for a long time, but I've never
seen anyone use it to come here. Are you lying? Are you just
             pretending to know?

Shu: Hey, this kid's pretty smart.

(Activate the warp monument...)

  Living Mural Kid: !!!!!!!

  Shu: What's with him?

Jiro: I think he's amazed that we activated the monument.

Shu: Is he gonna be amazed for the next 100,000 years? Maybe we shouldn't
       have done that.

Living Mural Woman: I am that child's mother. But, truth be told, everyone
                      here is the same age.

Living Mural Kid: We've always gotten along.

Living Mural Kid: Hey, on your way here, you didn't happen to see any
                    cats, did you?

Shu: Cats? We didn't see any cats. Where are they?

Living Mural Kid: On the walls. Just like us. I've been wondering for
so long how many cats there are. We can't leave the
walls, so I can't count them.

Shu: Yeah, you are a drawing on a wall, after all.

Living Mural Kid: Could you count the cats for me? Please.

  Shu: Leave it to me.

Living Mural Kid: Thanks. Good luck.

Living Mural Man: I've been those kids father since we were drawn. I've
                    loved them from the beginning.

Living Mural Kid: The eternal engine powers all of the machines that
                    fly in the sky. I'm a know-it-all.

(Find a cat...)

Jiro: So this is one of the mural cats we're looking for. Let's keep
        a count.

Shu: Got it. This is number 1.

(Next cat...)

Shu: Um...did we count this one yet?

(Count this cat? YES/NO)

Shu: All right! 2nd cat counted.

(When you come across the sparkling item on the ground...)

  Shu: What's that?

Jiro: I bet it's something that we would have no idea how to use.

Kluke: I bet there's someone who would know, though.

Jiro: You're probably right. Let's take it along.

(YOU GOT THE MYSTERIOUS PIECE ALPHA.)

(Count all 8 cats and return to the kid...)

Living Mural Kid: Did you count all the cats?

Shu: Yeah, there are 8 cats.

Living Mural Kid: Oh, thank you so much.

Living Mural Woman: Thank you for helping out my son like that. Please
get a token of my gratitude from the machine in the center.

(Get Power Lv3 Weak)

(As you leave the village...)

Living Mural Man: Wait a moment, please. If you're going into the valley,
I'd like to ask a favor of you. Somewhere in the valley is the
crumbling tree. I can't move, so I'd like you to go and get it
         for me.

Shu: If I find it I'll bring it back.

Living Mural Man: Also, in the valley is an extremely violent, giant
bird that is engulfed in flames. It's really weak against wind,
but if it's attacked by wind it flies into a rage. If you want
to have a chance, wind might be your best bet. But, don't forget
         the crumbling tree.

==========================================================================

(Fight and defeat the giant bird.)

(Make your way and a bridge collapses.)

  Shu: The bridge...!

Jiro: It looks like we can go down below using the broken bridge.

Kluke: We could also use the bridge up ahead to get back to the village.

Shu: Guess we have no choice but to take the long way.

(Obtain the crumbling tree)

Jiro: This is the crumbling tree that the mural was searching for.

Shu: It sure is. Let's take it back to him.

(Back in the village...)

Shu: Is this what you were searching for?

Living Mural Man: Yes! Yes! Let me see the inside of it. Ok. I see. Thank
you. That's enough. Inside was the Armor Lv3 Reflect spell.

(Back in the east valley..)

  Shu: It's a grade-up box.

  Jiro: Wait, Shu.

  Shu: What?

Jiro: This grade-up box is different from the others we've come across.

Shu: But it looks the same.

Jiro: This time, if we put in three items we'll get one new item.

Shu: So we need three items. Ok. Let's give it a try.

(What will you put in? Ruby/Saphire/Amethyst)

(Leave the valley...)

==========================================================================

                        Road to Gibral - bd018
==========================================================================

Shu: This is the road to Gibral.

Jiro: Let's take it. Hopefully we can get ahead of them.

  Kluke: What's wrong?

Jiro: There's no sign that people have gone through here.

Shu: So, the villagers haven't gotten this far yet.

Jiro: Probably. If their going to Gibral, this is the only road, I
        think.

  Marumaro: What if you're wrong?

Kluke: Don't say things like that.

Jiro: What should we do? If we head back towards the village, we might
be able to meet up with them.

Shu: Yeah, let's look for my grandpa and the others.

Marumaro: All right! Move out! Wait, what's your grandpa look like?

Shu: You just follow us, OK?

(At the pool of water...)

Jiro: I can feel a magical power surrounding this water. (HP/MP restored)

  Shu: Everyone!

  Jiro: Something's not right.

  Kluke: That's a monster!!

  Shu: Grandpa!

  Jiro: Mom, Dad!

  Fushira: Shu!

THE BLUE SHADOWS RISE FROM THE CHARACTERS' BACKS.

  Villager: What's that?

Shu: If you want to fight someone, fight me!

  Jiro's Father: Jiro!

Jiro's Mother: Jiro, behind you...that shadow...

  Jiro: It's OK, don't worry.

Shu: Come on guys, let's do this.

(Defeat the monsters)

  Shu: Here comes another one.

(During the battle...)

Kluke: It's really planted firm. Our attacks are having almost no effect.

Marumaro: Then we should do something to keep him from planting his
            feet, Kluke.

Jiro: Ah! We should do something to make his legs unstable.

(After the battle...)

  Jiro: So you're probably surprised.

  Shu: Grandpa...

Jiro's Mother: Is it really you?

Fushira: Good job meeting up with us.

Shu: That over there is Marumaro. He's a Devy. He's got a connection to
Nene, too. Hey, Marumaro, say hi to everyone.

Marumaro: Ok! I'll do the Devy greeting dance!

MARUMARO DANCES AND THE BABY STARTS TO CRY.

Shu: Marumaro, don't upset the baby!

Marumaro: Sorry. I'll do the Devy apology dance.

(Talk to everyone)

Fushira: I was sure that you would read that letter. The others thought
that the Land Shark had gotten you. I never thought that for a
minute. You wanna know why? Because you're MY grandson. I know
you never lose heart and no matter what yell, "I'll never lose!"

Kluke: Families are great things... If my parents were alive, they'd
probably have been worried about me too, right?

Marumaro: Hey, did everyone love my dance?

Landan: Shu, you are unbelievable. I thought you were dead, but you come
          back able to use magic.

Lailala: I'm glad you're safe. Everyone is so happy that you made it
back. You've encouraged everyone so much.

Morizon: Hey, Shu, nice night, huh?

Toyode: Don't worry your grandfather too much, Shu.

Lao: To tell you the truth, I didn't want to leave the village. But, we
       had no choice.

Balt: So you saved Polt, huh? I was relieved when I heard that my brother
was safe. Thank you. Do you need any supplies?

(In Jiro's family's tent...)

Jiro's Father: Oh, you want to know about this?

  Jiro: Yes. Mom, too.

JIRO'S MOTHER AND FATHER'S HANDS ARE BANDAGED.

Jiro's Mother: It was after you disappeared into the ground with the Land
                 Shark.

Jiro's Father: Your mother dug and dug and dug, even after she broke off
her nails. She thought you had been buried alive and was
                 trying to rescue you.

Jiro's Mother: Everyone said to stop, but I didn't listen.

Jiro's Father: I brought a shovel, but I put too much strength into it
                 and it broke in half.

Jiro: I'm sorry I made you so worried.

Jiro's Mother: Just the fact that you're alive is enough. Just please
                 stop with the dangerous stuff.

Jiro: Mother, there's something that I have to do.

Jiro's father: Jiro, I know you can do it.

  Jiro: Shu, can't you sleep?

Jiro's Mother: If Jiro was as tough as you, Shu, we could relax a little.

Jiro's Father: Shu, please take care of Jiro.

Minera: Gibral is a really big city. I'm gonna eat a big meal, take a
          bath, relax and forget everything.

Shipher: Camping everyday is so much fun!

Fana: Once we get to Gibral, I'm taking a bath.

Lizen: I had never planned on leaving the village. But, such is life.

Kolte: Someday we'll be able to go back to Tata Village, right?

Elder Koppose: Shu, I'm glad you're safe. We decided to go to Gibral
because
                 Tata Village is now uninhabitable.

Fushira: I suppose we should hit the hay.

Kluke: Good idea. We have an early start tomorrow.

Fushira: Just a little farther and we'll be at Gibral. I feel kind of
useless always having to be rescued.

Shu: Don't worry about it Grandpa, we'll protect everyone. We've all
gotten used to using our magic. Watch.

SHU SUMMONS HIS DRAGON.

  Fushira: That really is something.

(Protect the carriage)

Jiro: We made it! Now we can relax.

A HOARD OF TIGERS APPEARS FROM NOWHERE.

Marumaro: There's too many of them. We're surrounded. Shu, I think this
            is the end for us.

Shu: Marumaro, snap out of it. You're giving up way too soon. Let's make
a break in their group for the carriage to get through.

  Kluke: So we're bait, right?

Shu: Grandpa, get the carriage out of here while we hold them back.

Fushira: I'd like to say I understand, but there's no way you'll get
           away.

Shu: Grandpa, I need you to believe in me. Let us do it. Everyone's
already given up, but there's no way I'll lose!!

ARROWS START TO PUMMEL THE TIGERS AS THE CAVALRY ARRIVES.

Gibral: I am Gibral the 16th. We are here to help. Where have you come
          from?

  Kluke: Tata Village.

  Shu: We're headed for Gibral.

Gibral: I see. Then get everybody in the carriages. My army will protect
you. Let's move out for Gibral.

Gibral: Bring the carriages here! You, too. Get on the carriage.

  Shu: We'll help fight.

Zola: You can use shadows, too?

Shu: What do you mean, "you too"?

Zola: Your Highness, lead the villagers. I will take care of the rear.

  Gibral: Understood, Zola.

  Shu: Us, too!

  Marumaro: We'll help you, too.

Zola: I am the Lord Gibral's right hand, swordswoman Zola. Bring it on!

Shu: You can use magic, too?

  Zola: No time for talking.

Marumaro: You are so c..c..c..c..c...COOL!! I love you!!

Shu: Marumaro, what's the matter with you?

  Zola: Your Highness, please..

  Gibral: Let's depart!

(Fight the tiger monsters with Zola in your party.)

(Defeat the monsters)

THE CARRIAGE ARRIVES AT THE CITY GATES.

Gibral: Open the gates! (to the carriage drivers) Keep moving!

Fushira: So this is Gibral. I can't believe we made it in one piece.

THE PARTY IS STANDING IN FRONT OF THE GATES, EXHAUSTED.

  Shu: Phew...

  Jiro: We did it.

  Kluke: Everyone made it safely.

  Shu: That's right.

  Jiro: Thanks to King Gibral.

  Marumaro: And Lord Zola...

  Shu: "Lord" Zola?

Marumaro: Hey, hey, hey, Lord Zola...

  Zola: Yeah, um, whatever.

  Shu: He's so odd.

Jiro: Zola's shadow takes the shape of a bat. I've heard that the Devy
are really interested in creatures, like bats, that are suppossed
        to be evil.

Kluke: That may be, but it's also that Zola is really cool.

Zola: You guys are really something.

  Shu: You, too.

Zola: Please get some rest for the time being.

  Soldier: Welcome to Gibral.

==========================================================================

                 Gibral Castle Town - bd019
==========================================================================

(Talk to the various people wandering around)

Woman: Right now I'm trying to find myself.

Fana: Ah, Kluke. And Shu. Great work back there, you guys.

Kluke: What are you two standing here for all by yourselves?

Fana: Oh, we're just on a stroll around the town.

Lao: Everyone else is in the Inn. Don't worry about us, ok?

Pedestrian: You came to Gibral today? Well it sure was nice weather for
it. My accent? Well, I came from a country far, far away.
You wouldn't have heard of it.

Pedestrian: When I heard what was going on in the outside world, I got all
anxious and worried. You be careful, OK?

Pedestrian: I love to fight. Ask anyone, there's nothing I can't do.

Pedestrian: I know you escaped danger to come here, so you probably don't
want to hear this, but Gibral isn't all that safe, you know.
This castle is under constant threat of tsunamis. These castle
walls are a sort of protection against the coming water.

Pedestrian: This is Gibral Castle Town. I love it, from the fountain to
              the castle.

Pedestrian: The tsunamis are really scary. I've thought about moving, but
              I like this country.

Pedestrian: You guys are the ones with the magic shadows, right? I have
my own, too. It's called eyeshadow.

Swordsman: All the boys in this country dream of joining the
Swordsman Division one day. Since King Gibral started his
reign,
the Swordsman Division became quite the big stars.

Swordsman: Gibral is a country with traditions that have continued since
ancient times. The current king is still young, but is
             incredibly popular with the residents.

Boy: When I get older I want to join the Swordsman Division. They're sooo
       cool!

Pedestrian: The Swordsman Division protect King Gibral. The leader of
the division is Zola, who is really more of a mercenary.

Fat Woman: What? What are you staring at? In the old days, people used to
             call me Little Gibral Town.

Pedestrian: I know you came from somewhere else, but this place is also
plagued by the purple cloud. There's no place to hide.

Boy Waiting For His Father: Papa's in the Item Shop. I wish he'd
                              hurry it up.

Man Keeping His Family Waiting: I want this so much! But if I buy it,
there goes all of our money for the month.

Customer: You never know what's going to happen, so we should buy things
when we have the chance to buy them.

Customer: I get excited looking at all these things for sale.

Old Man: This hill is tough on us old folks.

Boy: Someday I want to go on an adventure, too.

Girl: What do you want? You're about 10 years too young to be trying to
        pick me up.

Soldier: Gibral has a mighty army that keeps the peace in the outerlying
           areas.

Googo Tribesperson: This isn't a place for children. Go on home to your
                       mommies.

  Googo: Hey, you!

  Shu: Yeah...

Googo: I don't know where you're from, but keep busting into our hideout
and we're gonna have trouble. Leave before I hurt ya.

Family Looking For a Room: We're thinking about moving here, but the rent
is
really high in the Castle Town.

Salesman: Are you looking for a room? I recommend this one, it's a
            steal.

Kluke: It is a nice room.

Salesman: Ah, as wise as she is cute. How about it? I can give you a
            good deal on it.

Shu: Sorry, but we're in the middle of an adventure. So, we won't need a
       room for a while.

Salesman: What! The young princess here won't be moving in? What a
            terrible world!

Pedestrian: Lately it seems danger is lurking everywhere...

Pedestrian Boy: They say kids aren't allowed in the busy part of town.
                  So, where can I go?

(Inside the Vase Workshop...)

Shopper: I came to buy a vase, but they're all pricey.

Master: I'm the master of this here vase shop. If you need anything I'll
          make it for ya.

Apprentice: Art is an explosion. Can you feel it? I'm a ceramic artist.
Well, I'm still an apprentice, but...

(Talk to the Devy at the furnace...)

Marumaro: Tsubokyu...Is that you, Tsubokyu. From Lago Village?

Tsubokyu: Marumaro, funny meeting you here. I'm here doing vase making
training. I heard that there was a sickness going around the
            village. Is everyone OK?

Marumaro: It didn't look good, but everyone's fine now. Don't worry.

Tsubokyu: That's great news. Now I can concentrate on my vase making
            without worry.

Sister: Hey, who is the prettiest of us three sisters?

  Sister: It's me, of course.

Googo: Hmm? Something strange about me? I'm from the Googo clan,
         descendants of the giant god.

Pedestrian: Ah! I just stepped in dog crap! Haha, that was a joke. I made
it up myself. I rhymed step and crap. Maybe it was too high
brow for you. ** Note: In Japanese, the words for "step on"
and "crap" sound the same. They are both "fun" (sounds like
              "foon"). **

Pedestrian: Did you see that Googo Clansman? They're huge! They're also
supposed to have superhuman strength. Many of them live in
this city. They've had an exchange with Gibral since the
              old days.

Pedestrian: Gibral has a lot of water, which makes it easy to live here.

Pedestrian: You can buy accesories and spell books in that shop there.
And the girl that works there is really cute.

(In the shop...)

Soldier: There's a big plan in the works. I'm here researching magics
that we can use in the plan. There are so many, though. I wish
           I could use them, too.

(Spell List)

White Lv3 Riraida 2350 Gold (Revive a fallen member)
White Lv3 Cancel 2100 Gold (Cancel a "Charge")
  Black Lv3 Water-ra 2150 Gold
  Power Lv3 Slow 2200 Gold
Armor Lv3 Shield-da 2400 Gold (Raise physical defense)

Part-time Girl: Can I help you find anything? If you're window shopping,
                  please go home.

Accesory Shopkeeper: According to the old documents, the ancients put
on accesories before going into battle. But, most normal people
can't use these accesories to their fullest. Only those with
a high combination category are able to.

(Accesory List)

  Gibral Necklace 1400 Gold
  Gibral Earring 650 Gold

Customer: I've heard that the accesories in this shop surpass armor
in their power. Especially the Gibral Necklace. It can't hurt
to equip it if you can.

Pedestrian: I'm debating about whether to buy a souvenier or not.

Pedestrian: This is an abandoned house. Please stay out.

Pedestrian: My feet may move slowly, but they still move. And as long as
              they do, I'll be happy.

Pedestrian: King Gibral is so cool and popular, but I worry about his
political skills. He's not really my type.

Souvenier Dealer: Please buy some of Gibral's special souveniers. I have
              ceramics and detailed wares, also.

(In the accesory shop)

Customer: This shop will make magic rings for those who are interested.
If you make a nice ring and give it as a present, no girl can
            refuse.

  Shu: A magic ring...

  Jiro: Give it a girl...

Kluke: How romantic. I want to see!

Customer: But good luck getting them to make you one. It may be just a
            rumor.

Accesory Dealer: My goods are all high-quality and I only sell them to
people I think are worthy. I have to worry about my brand's
image, you see. Come back when you're high class.

Sheep: You met my fellow Sheep? We are spread all over the world.

Flower Dealer: Aren't these flowers beautiful? Please take your time
                 looking at them.

Customer: Flowers live such a short life....don't you think so, too?

Landon: Ah! The heroes of Tata Village have arrived.

Shu: I wouldn't call us heroes, yet. Your baby looks like she's doing
       really well.

Lailala: Thanks, Shu. Fushira is in the Inn up ahead.

Pedestrian: King Gibral is so cool. King Gibral goods are really popular
              right now, too.

(In the Bodyguard's Office...)

Temporary Bodyguard: I'll fully protect your body.

Temporary Bodyguard: I'll closely protect your attractive body.

Temporary Bodyguard: Welcome to the Bodyguard's Office.

Bodyguard's Office President: Hey there cuties. Welcome to the Temporary
                                Bodyguard's Office.

  Shu: Bodyguard... temp agency?

President: That's right. We are dispatched to protect your beautiful body.
We will spend all of our waking moments making sure no harm
comes to those attractive bodies. We will go all over the
world.
What do you think? Shall I dispatch some bodyguards to go with
             you?

  Kluke: Um, no thanks.

President: That's too bad. We'll be here if you need us.

Pedestrian: I'm on a diet with my sister.

Pedestrian: I'm on a diet. I'm so hungry...

Candy Dealer: Candy is a symbol of happiness.

Pedestrian: Dessert is a necessary part of city living.

Girl: *sob* He's picking on me.

Boy: Don't look at me. She just started crying.

  Fushira: Shu, over here!

  Shu: Grandpa!

Fushira: What took you so long? All the other villagers have left already.

  Kluke: Where did they go?

Fushira: The village chief and some others went towards the castle. They
were going to ask King Gibral something. The rest are
sightseeing.
But, this is the Inn that we're all staying in.

Jiro: So, we should come back here?

Fushira: That's right. Have a good time looking around the city.

Pedestrian: How's the adventure going? If you're tired, this Inn is a
              great place to rest.

Pedestrian: Since you're here in Gibral, you have to try the food. It's
full of superb delicacies from both the land and sea.

Pedestrian: I hate water. I hate the tsunami that took him....

Uncle Nothing: Nothing! This world is full of nothing. Sometimes it seems
like the nothing will break us. To those people I offer
salvation in the form of...myself. I am the Nothing man.
If you have found more than 50 nothing points in the
world, I'll give you a great present. Do you want to count
how many points you have? You have...???points. I'll give
you this present for clearing 50 points. (Leather Belt)
I'll give you this for clearing 100 points. (Stomach Band)
I'll give you this for clearing 200 points. (Pointy Shoes)
Together we can rid this world of all nothing. Let's do
                 our best!

Soldier: This is Gibral Castle. Tata Villagers are free to enter.

==========================================================================

                   Gibral Castle - bd020
==========================================================================

Kluke: Shifer! And your puppy, John! Are you taking him for a walk?

Shifer: Yep! And John found this old man.

Old Man: It looks like he's taking a liking to me.

Marumaro: Popular with the puppy and the ladies. Doing good, grandpa.

Old Man: It's nice to be surrounded by so much youth. Let's meet again.
I'll try and help you out if you need it.

(In the castle...)

Soldier: My descendants used to work for the King as well.

Jiro's Mother: Gibral Castle is really something. It would be great to
live in
                 a place like this.

Jiro's Father: The Gibral royal family are extremely powerful.

Soldier: I can't tell you the special plan.

Soldier: Right now we're talking about the important new plan.

Soldier: There are many people in the Great Hall today.

Soldiers: Recently, there have been more and more monsters.

Soldiers: I wonder if I can get a raise.

Soldier: I finally fulfilled my dream and became a Gibral soldier.

Maid: You're from Tata Village? The adults are taking a tour of the
castle.

Swordsman: If you're looking for the basement research room, it's
             through that door.

Soldier: Take the stairs if you want to get to the 2nd floor.

Kluke: Mr. Morizon. What are you doing?

Morizon: I was just looking at this portrait of King Gibral.

Marumaro: He's just about as cool as I am.

Morizon: King Gibral is still young, yet he's a brilliant leader. I'm sure
he will be able to help us.

(In the kitchen...)

Chef Chinmi: Ah! What brings you to the kitchen?

  Shu: We smelled something good.

Chef: Well, we are working on a huge feast. Please look forward to it.

  #1 Apprentice: I'm the #1 chef's apprentice. I can prepare the food
exactly
the same as my master can.

Part-timer: We're all just part-timers, but we're serious about our work.

Maid: The longer we all work here, the more we start to resemble each
other. I'd like to not come here if I didn't have to.

#2 Apprenctice: I'm the #2 apprentice. I'll start to act, think and
look like the head chef after a while, though.

(On the 2nd Floor...)

Soldier: Did you see anything suspicious?

Swordsman: This is the Senior Minister's room. Please mind your manners.

(In the Senior Minister's room...)

Shu: You! You're that old guy that was petting the dog.

Minister: I see you made it. I am this country's minister. Are you
            surprised?

Kluke: We are from Tata Village. Please help our people. If possible, we'd
         like to live there again.

Minister: Don't worry about your village. The other ministers are already
working on a plan. I heard that you want to meet with the king.
Please feel free to do so.

(Talk to the soldiers guarding the door..(

Soldier: We will escort you to the King's room.

(In the King's Room...)

  Marumaro: Ah! Lord Zola!!

  Shu: Wait a second.

Soldiers: We have escorted Shu and 3 others like you asked.

Zola: Thank you. I will take them from here. Let's go.

  Marumaro: O-kay!!

Shu: Ahhhh, I'm really nervous all of a sudden.

Jiro: Let's be on our best behavior.

Shu: What? Don't worry about that. We're from the country, after all. We
       don't know any better.

  Kluke: Don't get defensive.

Zola: Your highness, I have brought them before you.

King Gibral: You from Tata Village, what are your names?

  Shu: I'm Shu!

Jiro: My name is Jiro, your highness.

  Kluke: I am Kluke.

  Marumaro: Marumaro!

King Gibral: I'm glad to see that you are well.

Shu: You saved our hides, King Gibral.

Kluke: (to Shu) You're talking to a king. Couldn't you be a little more
         polite?

King Gibral: It's fine. Please relax. I offered the Inn to your villagers,
so everyone can get some rest. But, may I ask, why did you
decide on Gibral as your destination?

  Shu: It's Nene's fault!

  King Gibral: Nene?

Shu: He's the bad guy controlling the Land Shark.

Marumaro: And in my village, he hurt all of the people really bad.

King Gibral: (to Shu and Marumaro) You two are like brothers.

Kluke: Lord Gibral, we'd be happy to fill you in on all the details.

Jiro: Please don't take offense at these two.

Shu: But to put it simply, that's what happened.

Jiro: In Tata Village, once a year, a purple cloud appears and the Land
Shark attacks us. Because of that, our village is virtually
destroyed. That's why we can't live there any longer. The villagers
thought to seek safety in Gibral.

King Gibral: Once a year... a purple cloud...

  Zola: Lord...

King Gibral: Yes. Please come with me.

(Approach the King)

  King Gibral: Follow me!

OUTSIDE THE CASTLE, BLOCKS OF WATER HOVER IN THE AIR.

  Shu: What are those?

Marumaro: Hey, hey, what are those?

Zola: We call them the tsunami nuclei.

Shu: Nuclei? What do you mean?

King Gibral: Once a year, those nuclei fall to the ground and cause a
tidalwave. But, it always occurs with the appearance of the
               purple cloud.

  Shu: Purple cloud?

  Marumaro: It's Nene!!

King Gibral: Those waves cause horrible damage to my country and people.
However, about 6 months ago, we were finally able to attack
and secure one of the airships that appeared from the cloud.

  Shu: Airship?

Kluke: He must mean the Mechat.

King Gibral: We have analyzed the ship and have devised a plan to rid
ourselves of the purple cloud and the mother ship that
               appears with it.

Shu: Awesome! Let us do it!

King Gibral: I was waiting for you to say that. What do you say? Could
you join the attack party? You're magic will become a
               strong ally.

  Jiro: Of course we'll help.

  King Gibral: Thank you.

(Talk to the King)

King Gibral: Once a year, all over the world, various tragedies are
occuring. There is no mistake that it's the work of Nene, the
one who was attacking your village. We have traveled around
to see the damage for ourselves. It was on our return that we
               came upon you.

(Talk to Zola)

Marumaro: Lord Zola, are you going to fight with us?

  Zola: Of course.

Shu: Not much of a talker, huh?

Marumaro: You don't know anything, do ya Shu?

  Shu: Huh?

Marumaro: Lord Zola is cute when she smiles!

(Approach the door)

Zola: I was headed to the Basement Research Room myself. I'll see to
it that you are granted entry.

(In the Bladewarriors Waiting Room...)

Bladewarrior: The leader of the Bladewarriors is Lord Zola. She may be a
woman, but she's a great leader.

Bladewarrior: We are King Gibral's personal protectors.

Bladewarrior: Have you been downstairs? You should if you have the chance.

Bladewarrior: Hey, we're allowed to have breaks, too.

(Downstairs...)

Googo Clansman: We Googos fight valiantly at King Gibral's side.

(In the Soldier's Waiting Room...)

  Soldier: I'm on break.

Soldier: I wish they'd give us more break time.

Soldier: This beast here is a Googo. He's been drafted into service.

Googo: Without Googos, Gibral can do nothing!

(In the research room...)

Researcher: There's junk all over the place. So watch where you step.

Soldier: Surprised? This is the Mechat. We succeeded in knocking it out
of the sky with a giant arrow. Unfortunately, the arrow firing
mechanism was destroyed by the mother ship.

Head Researcher: I am the head researcher. Here we research all the
mysteries of the world. The world is full of more mysteries
everyday. That's why we are here. So, what mystery is troubling
           you today?

Shu: Mystery? Hmm, well, the item that we picked up in Mural Valley
       is pretty strange.

Head Researcher: Please let me have a look at it.

YOU HAND OVER THE "MYSTERIOUS PART ALPHA".

Head Researcher: Hmm... I see... This part... is the height of ancient
technology. It was so powerful that it was broken into
3 parts; Alpha, Beta and Gamma. If you could find them
and bring them here, I'm sure I could construct something
from them. If you should come across any more mysteries,
be sure to bring them here. I'll be here.

Researcher: Lord Zola is in the back room.

Researcher: Luckily, this ship wasn't damaged except for the hole we
made in it. After we salvaged it, we took it apart and put the
pieces in the back room. We're analyzing composition of the
              inner system as we speak.

(In the back room...)

Researcher: I was researching the ancient texts and I found a strange
technique called the "Barri-Barrier". It emits a light that
can cause damage. But, you don't get the experience points
from the monsters that you topple. Only the shadows grow
              stronger.

Researcher: The Infinite Engine uses no fuel, yet never stops moving. It
was created by magic from ancient technology.

Researcher: That blue barrier was created by the ancients. We're searching
for a way to penetrate it, though.

Researcher: I believe that we can use the power of the Infinite Engine to
              analyze the tsunami nuclei.

Zola: We'll use the Infinite Engine to destroy the tsunami nuclei. Doing
that will probably call the mother ship to us.

  Shu: Woah!!!!

Jiro: But, how are you going to fight the mother ship once it comes?

  Zola: Wait and see.

(Talk to Zola again...)

Zola: The research is proceeding satisfactorily. We just have to wait for
        the right time.

(Upon leaving the room...)

Zola: I'm going back to my room. Will you join me? (YES/NO)

(In Zola's room...)

Marumaro: Lord Zola...You're magic is so awesome! You're so awesome!
But, hey, did you get your magic from Nene, too? Or, like
Shu, did somebody tell you to swallow the light balls?

Zola: Um, no... I... I'm the same as you guys. Some strange voice I didn't
know ordered me to swallow the ball of light.

Shu: Where? We were in Nene's castle in the sky.

Zola: No, I've never met anyone named Nene. The first time I heard that
name was in your stories. I...(remembers a battle)... sensed my
own lack of experience. And, suddenly, time stopped. I was the
only one who could move freely. That was when the ball of light
appeared and the voice echoed in my head. "Swallow the ball of
light.
In it resides the power to repel evil.", it said.

  Marumaro: Cool!!!

  Kluke: We know, we know.

Shu: That voice that spoke to you...do you know whose it was?

  Zola: No, you?

Shu: We don't know. But, I have a feeling that it wasn't Nene.

Jiro: It could be that someone other than Nene is...

  Zola: One other, huh?

  Marumaro: Whatever. It doesn't matter.

Jiro: It's definitely not good. Somebody is making us use magic. There's
        no denying that.

(Talk to Zola again...)

Zola: Feel free to stroll around the castle. If you're tired, please rest
        in the Inn.

(In the castle courtyard...)

Shifer: I want to see that old man again.

Shu: We met him in the castle. He's one of this country's Ministers!

Shifer: Minister? I don't know what that means, but he must be real
important. Minister... what a nice name.

(In the Inn..)

Inn Keeper: Tata Village residents can rest here for free.

Lailala: I had such a great day today. I was a little worried at first,
          though.

Landon: It's been so long since I've been able to have fun with just my
family. But, now I'm ready to hit the hay.

Balt: What a great garden they have here. I'd be nice to make a place
in Tata Village that rivals its beauty.

Elder Koppose: King Gibral promised that he would make sure that we would
be able to move back to Tata Village sometime.

Toyode: I want to go back to the village. I wonder if the king will really
         help us?

Fushira: You should do everything you need to do today, but if you think
you're done, then you should rest. Do you want to go to your
          room and sleep? (YES/NO)

(In Shu's room...)

THE ROOM SHAKES VIOLENTLY.

Fushira: What was that noise?

Shu: Ah!

Fushira: What is it?

THE PURPLE CLOUD HAS APPEARED ABOVE THE CASTLE.

Fushira: Don't do anything reckless.

(YOU RECIEVE 10 PHOENIX CLAWS)

Morizon: The castle has a great defense force, unlike our village. I'm
interested to see how they react.

Minera: Why won't that cloud just leave us alone?

Elder Koppose: Again with the purple cloud? I thought we came here to get
                rid of it.

Balt: What an annoying thing that cloud is.

Inn Keeper: How am I supposed to be a good host in a time like this?

(Outside...)

Shifer: *sob* John is missing. I was holding him as I went to sleep, but
the purple cloud surprised him and he ran off towards the castle.
Please, if you find him, tell him to come right back to
          me. I'm sure he'll understand.

Marumaro: Shu, I'm worried about the king, but I'm also worried about that
            little dog.

Kluke: Don't worry. We'll be sure to find your dog.

  Pedestrian: I'm so glad I didn't become a soldier.

Fana: We came all this way and the cloud followed us. Are we doomed to
        have no future?

Candy Dealer: This is no good. This is bound to affect sales.

  Pedestrian: We're screwed.

Landon: It's OK. The castle will protect us. I'm sure of it.

Pedestrian: I wonder if we can see Gibral's best from here?

  Kid: I'm scared...

Rau: I'm sure the King will take care of it no problem.

Bodyguard: It's because of times like this that I'm glad I paid all those
taxes. It paid for all the Blade masters' training.

Soldier: The king is waiting for you. When you are ready to protect this
           city, please proceed inside.

(Enter the castle and a scene starts...)

LIGHTNING FROM THE PURPLE CLOUD STRIKES THE TSUNAMI NUCLEI.

  King Gibral: Open the floodgates.

  Zola: Open the floodgates!!

A SHIP CARRYING THE INFINITE ENGINE RACES TOWARDS THE TSUNAMI NUCLEI.

Soldier: Oh, you came. The King is waiting for you on the roof.

Soldier: The cooks and technicians were evacuated to the basement. After
all the long years of planning, the plan is finally in motion.

Soldier: People are running around on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so try not
           to get in their way.

(On the roof...)

THE KING AND SHU NOD TO EACH OTHER AS A TSUNAMI NUCLEUS FALLS INTO THE
OCEAN, CAUSING HUGE WAVES TO CRASH AGAINST THE ROCKS.

  King Gibral: Now...

THE INFINITE ENGINE DESTROYS THE OTHER NUCLEI AS THEY FALL.

  King Gibral: It worked!

  Shu: Awesome...

THE LIGHTNING STRIKES BECOME FIERCER AND MORE FREQUENT...

  Kluke: Nene is angry.

King Gibral: That was the plan; To confuse the enemy and lure the mother
ship closer to us. That was the whole reason for the plan.

  Shu: Bring it on!

Marumaro: I wonder if it'll come.

Jiro: It'll come. Don't worry, it'll come. He seems to like it when people
        defy him.

King Gibral: Bring forth the cannons.

  Zola: Bring the cannons here!

King Gibral: Ready the air troops.

Zola: Ready the air troops! Your Highness...

King Gibral: Wait. It's still drawing closer...

  Zola: Fire the hooks!

THE HOOKS ON THE END OF THE CHAIN PENETRATE THE MOTHER SHIP.

  King Gibral: Pull it in!

(PRESS THE BUTTON REPEATEDLY TO PULL IN THE CHAIN.)

  Googo: Pull!

Googo: Put some muscle into it!

King Gibral: We've got control over the mother ship. Move in! Air troops,
               at your ready!

Zola: (to Shu) You guys are with me.

(Talk to Zola again...)

  Zola: Let's go.

Marumaro: We get to fight alongside Lord Zola!!!!!!!!!!!

King Gibral: Is everyone ready? Air troops, launch!!

  Zola: Charge!

THE TROOPS LAND ON TOP OF THE MOTHER SHIP. SHU AND THE GANG FOLLOWS BEHIND.
A MESS OF ROBOTS APPEAR FROM INSIDE THE SHIP.

King Gibral: Go! Leave this to me. Make your way into the ship and destroy
               the Infinite Engine.

  Zola: Let's go.

==========================================================================

                     Giant Mechat - bd021
==========================================================================

Zola: Let's find the Infinite Engine and destroy it.

(Farther in the Giant Mechat...)

Jiro: Look! It's an elevator. We can probably use it to get further
        inside.

(Examine the elevator...)

(YOU DON'T HAVE THE ELEVATOR KEY.)

  Shu: Dammit! It won't move.

Jiro: There's got to be a way to get it moving. Let's have a look around.

(In the Central Shaft...)

Jiro: (to Zola) What are you doing?

Zola: This size of ship will probably have more than one Infinite Engine.

Shu: So this one has 6?

  Marumaro: 5 more to go.

  Zola: Let's go.

GENERAL SZABO IS WATCHING THE PARTY'S PROGRESS ON A GIANT SCREEN. NENE
ENTERS.

Szabo: Sir, I regret to inform you that one Infinite Engine has...

Nene: Shut up! Do you know why they were able to pull off this stunt?

Szabo: It's all my fault, sir.

Nene: That's right. You're the one controlling this ship. If it was me,
I would have done nothing to invite them here. If I was steering
this ship, I would not have failed as you have!

  Szabo: This is my responsibility.

Nene: Then you know what will happen....

(Continue through the Giant Mechat...)

Szabo: I really didn't want to have to resort to using these guys...

GENERAL SZABO PRESSES A BUTTON, ACTIVATING ROBOTS IN RESTRAINING PODS.

Szabo: Do as you are ordered, or you will be restrained again. Got
it? Now, go! Kill the intruders!

CHUTES OPEN BENEATH THE PODS, DISPATCHING THEM INTO THE GREAT MECHAT...

MAKE YOUR WAY THROUGH THE MECHAT AND YOU WILL COME ACROSS ONE OF THE
ROBOTS.

Silent Kuu: You are the intruders. I am the Silent Kuu. I am prolific in
in all manner of gun techniques. And you will taste them all!

(Deactivate the 2nd Infinite Engine to open a new path...)

(Disturbed Mai appears...)

Disturbed Mai: KEkeekekekekekeek! It must be you that General Szabo was
talking about. I am Mai. Disturbed Mai. Thanks to you, I was
let out. To show my gratitude I will...let's see...present you
             with the fear of death!!

(Deactivate the 3rd Infinite Engine to open a new path...)

(Deactivate the 4th Infinite Engine to open a new path...)

(Heatwave Sai appears...)

Heatwave Sai: Hehehehe...I'll break you...I'll break you...I'll break
                you...I'll break you...Heheheheh. I am Sai. I've been
shut up for far too long. It's irritating. So, I'll
break you, your friends and all other humans!

(During the battle...)

Kluke: We need to do something about those bombs. Try using you fire
         magic and see what happens.

(When you find the warp...)

Shu: What is that? Jiro, do you have any idea?

Jiro: No, I've never seen anything like it before.

Marumaro: It's so pretty. Let's stand on it and see what happens!

(Warp to a place near the 5th Infinite Engine. Approach the Engine and
the 4th Robot, Raging Kes appears.)

Raging Kes: For a bunch of humans to defeat three of us is pretty good.
Unfortunately for you, I am Raging Kes. You would do well to not
think of me as the same as the others. Slowly...unceasingly...
gently...that is how I will carve the meat from your bones.

(Approach the 5th Infinite Engine and the scene changes to the King fighting
the robots on the Giant Mechat's outer deck.)

  King Gibral: Destroy the cannons!

(Back on the Giant Mechat...)

  Jiro: Oh my god...

  Kluke: We have to hurry!

Zola: The 5th Engine is below us.

Jiro: There are 2 warps. I don't know which one is the right one.

  Shu: Let's split up.

Zola: I'll go this way. The rest of you take that one.

  Shu: Got it. Let's go!

(Warp and then proceed.)

THE PARTY COMES ACROSS SZABO AND NENE.

  Shu: Ah!

  Nene: You?

  Shu: Nene!

Nene: So, you've gotten better. Ha!

NENE GETS INTO A MECHAT AND TAKES OFF.

  Shu: Wait!

Szabo: You'll not lay a finger on my master.

  Shu: Bastard!

Szabo: You've said enough rude things about my master. Say your prayers.

Shu: I was just about to say the same.

(Battle Szabo..)

(During the battle..)

Szabo: Ha! You're not strong enough...

(After the battle...)

Shu: We did it. What about Nene?

  Jiro: We can use that.

JIRO POINTS AT A MECHAT.

Kluke: We can go afer him. We can't let him get away.

  Shu: Yeah!

(Approach the Mechat to board it and take off.)

ZOLA IS WATCHING ON A VIDEO SCREEN.

  Zola: Good, they got away...

AN ALARM SOUNDS AS ZOLA RUNS OFF.

  Marumaro: Look!

  Shu: It's sinking.

Jiro: Zola must have deactivated the last Infinite Engine.

THE KING LOOKS BEATEN, BUT ZOLA APPEARS AND SAVES HIM.

Zola: All of the Infinite Engines have been deactivated. This ship's
        about to sink.

King Gibral: Everyone fall back! Get off the ship!!

THE SOLDIERS PARACHUTE OFF THE SIDE AS THE GIANT MECHAT CRASHES INTO THE
OCEAN.

  Jiro: She really did it.

Shu: Now we just have to worry about Nene. He can't get away.

  Shu: He's coming at us.

  Jiro: He's shooting at us!

  Shu: I can see that.

Kluke: He's laughing at us. He's still laughing at us.

(After the shooting...)

  Shu: Where's he go?

  Jiro: Did we lose him?

  Marumaro: Ahhh!!!

Kluke: Which way did he go?

  Jiro: North...I think.

Shu: But, we have no way of knowing.

Kluke: Just one more shot and we woulda had him.

EVERYONE CHEERS AS THE GIANT MECHAT SINKS BELOW THE OCEAN'S SURFACE.

IN THE CASTLE'S GREAT HALL, A HUGE FEAST IS UNDERWAY.

Maid: Are you tired after all that fighting? What am I saying? You're
young. Just eat as much as you can and you'll be all ready to go
        again.

Googo: Without us Googos, Gibral would be nothing.

Master: I am the master of Cafe Gibral. Please visit me again sometime.
          (You get a SERVICE COUPON)

Maid: I'm glad that there weren't any major injuries.

Soldier: Thanks for all your hard work. It's an honor to have been able
to participate in such a glorious battle alongside you and
           King Gibral.

  Soldier: This food rocks.

  Soldier: I can't drink anymore...

Soldier: Cafe Gibral is also known as the Information Exchange. There you
           can get various information.

Googo: Do you know me? I fought with you.

Soldier: This is a victory to be celebrated. It'll be remembered in our
           country for centuries to come.

Soldier: All this food looks wonderful. And I can't wait to get my hands
on that booze. This is true happiness.

Soldier: I hope this means that all the strange things that were happening
around the world are now finished.

Soldier: I thought you were just little kids. But, you're actually pretty
           good.

Soldier: I'm sure that little experience put some hairs on your chest.
Let's grab a drink at the cafe sometime.

Soldier: Without you guys, there's no way we would have won.

Blademaster: Did you see it? The moment that the mother ship sank into the
ocean? It was a spectacular sight.

Researcher: This is the first time I've been out of the lab in a week. I
hope things calm down a little bit.

Maid: This celebration is for you. Please enjoy it.

Blademaster: May all in Gibral be blessed.

Blademaster: Magic both a great and frightening thing. It's all in how
               you control it.

Soldier: This battle did wonders for the King's popularity.

Soldier: I made eyes with Secretary Shelia earlier. I wonder if she has
           a thing for me?

Soldier: I just can't seem to relax. Is the battle really over?

Soldier: Great job! It's not much, but please take this. (Service Coupon)

Soldier: A toast to our excellent king!

Soldier: And a toast to our chef!

Soldier: Cafe Gibral's waitresses are so hot.

Blademaster: So now Tata Village will be free of the Land Shark. That
               must be great news.

Soldier: Every table is filled with all my favorite foods. It makes me
so happy, I can't settle down.

Soldier: What is Nene, anyway? Is he some remnant from the Ancients?

Soldiers: You guys must get all the chicks. And a ton of presents.

Soldiers: If you go into town, you'll probably get a hero's welcome.

Maid: Eat to your heart's content.

Head Researcher: I housed the Mechat in the Research Room. But, because
of damage to the Infinite Engine, it doesn't go "Unnnn"
or "Sunnnnn" anymore. But, have no fear. I will use my
enormous brain to find a way to fix it.

Researcher: I haven't seen a feast like this in months.

  Soldier: Drink up! Eat up!

Waitress: I ran here from Cafe Gibral. Have a great time, ok?

Senior Minister: I'm glad to see you're safe. You were a great help in
that battle. If there'd been even one mistake in our
plan, it could have been disastrous for us. But, thanks
                   to you, we're saved.

Secretary Shelia: It was a long, long battle. However, we finally destroyed
those Tsunami Nuclei. It doesn't really sit well with
me that most of the credit goes to Zola, though. The
men were all wimps and I have no love for strangers.

Minister Jonbino: Yesterday's battle was so expensive that we used half
of the military budget. If it wasn't for you, this
                    country would be bankrupt now.

Soldier: I ate too much....I consumed, like, 3 million calories... Nobody
           ate more than me...

Zola: Where could Nene have gone?

Marumaro: Lord Zola!! What are you thinking about?

Zola: Marumaro, it must be nice to be so easygoing. When you're done here,
King Gibral would like to speak to you. Let me know when you, got
        it?

Soldier: I ate too much....what? 3 million calories? I ate 3 million and
          one calories.

King Gibral: Are you finished already? You protected our country, so this
               banquet is in your honor.

Zola: So, what do you think of Gibral's celebrations? Did you get your
fill of food and conversation? Are you ready to leave? (YES/NO)
        Got it. Follow me.

King Gibral: This isn't over yet. Not as long as Nene lives. I have
something that I can tell only to you.

  Jiro: What is it?

King Gibral: Tomorrow morning, first thing, I need you to escort Zola
               to the Northern Lands.

  Shu: North? Why?

Kluke: That's the direction that Nene went.

Zola: In the extreme north is an ancient ruin. It is thought that these
ruins might be that weapon of war that the murals told you about.

King Gibral: If Nene is able to start up the machine, the Land Shark
as well as countless other ancient machines will attack us
               ceaselessly.

  Shu: We'll go.

  Marumaro: Me, too!

King Gibral: I knew I could count on you.

Shu: It's our fault that Nene got away.

Kluke: I've never heard you be so serious before, Shu.

  Shu: Shut it, Kluke.

Zola: I'm honored that you will assist me.

  Marumaro: Really!!?

  Shu: All right, it's settled.

King Gibral: I am in your debt.

(In the Castle Town...)

Shifer: My little puppy was ok. Thanks everybody.

Elder Koppose: Shu! Jiro! Kluke! You made it back. I was worried.

  Shu: Elder Koppose!

Elder Koppose: I heard they couldn't have done it without you. There's
rumors about you flying around the town. Make sure you
go around and greet everyone. I'm sure it'll be good for
you. You three are the pride of Tata Village.

Jiro: Father, I fought my hardest.

Jiro's Father: I know, son. You did great. I have something for you.
(You get a BOWTIE) This is an heirloom that has been in our
family for a long time. It's proof that we served the
Kingdom of Gibral. I wanted to give this to you when you
became a man. Please keep it safe.

Jiro's Mother: Jiro, I'm so proud of you.

Pedestrian: No more tsunamis! I'm sure that the person I loved is
somewhere looking down on us and smiling.

Pedestrian: To destroy the Tsunami Nuclei upon his return; our King is
              the best.

Pedestrian: The world may be going all to hell, but it doesn't phase me.
I just buy my bread everyday.

Kolte: Shu, you're way cooler than the Blademasters. But, it's hard to
         tell just looking at you.

Pedestrian: Becoming the wife of a Blademaster is the goal of all the
              girls in town.

  Pedestrian: Blademasters! Cool!

Blademaster: These women are so noisy. I guess they don't mean any harm,
               though.

Soldier: This is Cafe Gibral. It's a really popular hangout.

(In Cafe Gibra...)

Balto: You grew up pretty good for a little snotty brat.

Landon: Thanks to you, we're all safe.

Rau: You guys beat me to saving the village. That pisses me off.

Fana: You guys are really great. Don't worry about him, they're just
        jealous.

Customer: I'm on a break from the whole bodyguard thing. I'm just here
            for lunch.

Customer: Those soldiers are so noisy. I know why they're letting their
            hair down, but come on.

Customer: This is one of the most loved places in Gibral.

Customer: I'm trying to pick up this researcher here.

Researcher: The girl next to me seems to be hitting on me.

Blademaster: I'm sitting here, quietly, watching the soldiers so they
               don't make too much noise.

Soldier: That waitress is the really hot.

Waitress: Welcome to Cafe Gibral. Do you have a service coupon? (YES/NO)
Thank you. (Get an HP-UP Capsule) Please enjoy.

  Soldier: Hey, partner!

Shu: Are you talking to me? Who are you?

Soldier: Did you forget? I'm Jonny. We pulled the chain together. Come
on, your comrade Jonny. Well, anyway, let me give you this for
saving my hide back there. (Get a SHIELD EARRING) That kind
of good-luck charm is really popular with the soldiers. Take
           care of it.

Soldier: Hey, you are the guys that fought alongside the king, aren't ya?

Soldier: Hey, can't you see I'm hitting on this hottie here? Leave me
           to my business.

Meg: Hello, my little brave heroes.

  Marumaro: Heroes? Heheheh...

Meg: Oh my god, you are adorable. Let me give you this. (Water Earring)

  Marumaro: Yeah!!! Thanks.

Piano Player: This isn't my normal performance time, but if I don't
                practice, I get rusty.

Soldier: After we battle, we rest. And raise the roof.

Customer: I'm just a good for nothing old man, but last night's battle
seems to have sobered me a bit. I've decided to devote myself to
thinking about if there's any possible way I can be of help
to the young people in this town. I hope this helps make your
journey a little easier. (Get 3 Medals)

  Shu: Thanks, mister.

Customer: You see, old men aren't all that bad.

Customer: That pianist is really something.

(In the Inn...)

Toyode: You are the shining lights that saved Tata Village.

Fushira: You did great. I'm sure you're all beat. Do you want to rest
           in your room? (YES/NO)

Shu: Grandpa, we're going to be taking off again.

  Fushira: Good luck.

  Shu: Huh?

Fushira: I heard about everything from one of the king's men. You're man
enough. You've been given a great power that no one else has.
You must us it for the good of all. Of course, I'll be
worried. Hurry up and get to bed. Tomorrow will be a big day.
           Good night, everyone.

ZOLA IS PRACTICING HER SWORDS TECHNIQUES IN THE MOONLIGHT. THE KING
APPROACHES.

Zola: You highness, is there something I can do for you?

King Gibral: Well, not really, it just...I...

  Zola: What is it?

King Gibral: I wanted to give you something to protect you when you're
up north. Please take this. It's a ring that's been in my
family for many years. It's said to contain a great power.
It's protected many kings and soldiers in countless battles.
I know it'll protect you...I mean, you and your companions.

 Zola: Then I graciously accept.

ZOLA PUTS THE RING ON HER RING FINGER.

  King Gibral: Zola, that finger...

  Zola: ...?

King Gibral: In this country, putting a ring on that finger means you're
               married.

Zola: Well, it's the only finger that it'll fit on.

  King Gibral: Ah....

SHU AND JIRO ARE WATCHING ZOLA AND THE KING FROM A DISTANCE.

Shu: I was wondering where she was going in the middle of the night.

Jiro: There's a good chemistry between them.

Shu: Maybe I'll give Kluke a ring.

  Jiro: Huh?

Shu: I know what the King's feeling. Zola's a friend.

Jiro: That's not what it means. Shu....wait! Stop!

Jiro: Can I ask you something?

  Shu: What?

Jiro: What do you think of Kluke?

Shu: Why are you asking me that?

  Jiro: Um, it's just that...

Shu: She's a friend. You, me and her. We're all friends.

  Jiro: Yeah, yeah, friends. Shu...

Shu: What, already? Why are you acting all strange?

Jiro: I just don't know why you want to give a ring to Kluke.

Shu: I just thought it looked really cool when the king gave one to
       Zola.

Jiro: Well, then. Wanna play a game?

  Shu: Game?

Jiro: Yeah. We'll each give Kluke a ring and see which one she likes
better. Whoever's ring she likes best is the winner.

Shu: Sounds great. I love these kinds of games. Hurry up, Jiro. Not that
       it'll do you any good.

Jiro: Uh...why is he always so carefree?

(YOU ARE GOING TO CREATE A RING. DO YOU WANT TO SAVE FIRST?)

Accessory Dealer: I see. I'll make some rings for you. Plus, I'll even

* Let's make a ring for Kluke. You get 100 Gold and some ordinary *
* jewels to start off with. You can buy different jewels from the list *
* on the left. On the right you can see how the jewels will affect the *
* magic power. Blue means an increase; red, a decrease in power. "A" *
* stands for attack power, "D" for defense, "MA" is magic attack, and *
* "MD" is magic defense. Select the jewel and then "YES" to attch it to *
* the ring. In the creation of the rings, some powder may be left over. *
* The shop will buy this powder from you. The more the magic power *
* decreases, the higher value of the powder and the more money you will *
* recieve. When asked if you want to create the final ring, select "YES"*
* to finish and "NO" to continue. Jiro will also be making a ring. When *
* the both of you are finished, it's game over. You won't be able to *
* keep the extra money, so be mindful of that. *

(After the rings are created...)

  Kluke: Rings? For me?

  Shu: They're good-luck charms.

Jiro: Both Shu and I made them for you. We saw King Gibral giving Zola a
family heirloom as a good-luck charm.

  Kluke: Eh?

Shu: Ok? On 3. 3...2...1. You have to choose one.

  Jiro: Kluke, choose mine.

Kluke: What? I have to choose between them?

Shu: Yeah. Look at mine. See how shiny it is?

  Jiro: Look at mine.

KLUKE TAKES BOTH RINGS.

Kluke: I can't choose. So, I'll treasure both of them. Shu, Jiro, thanks.

  Jiro: Ahhhhh. I'm exhausted.

Shu: More than when we fight a monster.

NEXT MORNING. AT THE CASTLE GATES...

  Shu: Let's go.

  Voice: Stay away!

  Shu: Is someone there?

  Voice: Do not enter!

  Shu: Hey, where are you?

  Zola: Stop!

  Shu: But...

  Zola: This fog is dangerous.

Voice: This is a place of banishment. It's a place where those who've
commited a crime sink into the cursed fog.

Jiro: Why are you here? Did you commit a crime?

Voice: Yes. I am a criminal.

  Marumaro: I'm scared.

Voice: Travelers, if you could, please travel to the Googo Village. Tell
them not to ring them bell. To forget...

  Shu: Forget?

Voice: Tell Surasura what I said. He'll understand.

Kluke: There's got to be some reason behind it.

Shu: I got it. Well, really, I don't. But, I'll do what you said.

Jiro: The Googos are a race of giants. It's not so far from here. Let's
        tell them the message.

Voice: Sorry to be a bother. Thank you.

                     Alumaru Village - bd023
==========================================================================

Jirara's Subordinate: Hey, you don't want to mess with us. Stay out of
                        the village.

Jirara's Subordinate: We're the gatekeepers. To protect the village is an
                        honorable profession.

Googo: Hey, don't cause a racket. Anyone who makes a fuss get kicked out.

Googo: We're all saints in this village. Have a great stay.

  Marumaro: Hey!!!!! Surasura!!!!!!!

Man: Are you looking for Surasura?

Jiro: Back at the Exile Forest, we were told to tell something to Surasura.

  Googo: What? You met Guruguru?

  Shu: Guruguru?

Man: Yeah. A man banished by the King for stealing treasure and trying
to make some holy power his own. Really despicable one, he is.

Googo: This village's leader, Jirara, caught him and sent him to the
         Exile Forest.

Zola: What was the treasure? Not the one that was a gift of thanks for all
the years of trade, right? Like this ring, it's said to contain the
legendary power of the Gibral royal family.

Googo: Surasura is in the bell tower. He promised Guruguru that he would
         ring the bell.

Man: Everyone keeps telling him that Guruguru isn't coming home. But,
       Surasura...

Googo: Surasura is up ahead at the bell tower.

Googo: We Googos are more gentle than we look. You should stop by the
         houses where the humans live.

Jirara's Helper: Jirara always brings back great things from Gibral.

Scholar's Servant: My master is the Scholar. He can tell you a great
            deal about the past.

Scholar: The Googo's are a race with their own history and mythology.
It's actually a history concerning two races. Would you like
to hear some of the history? (YES/NO) The Googo beasts worship
the Googo gods. But, there lies a trap within their beliefs.
The Googo beasts are the truly noble ones. The have no gods,
and only believe in themselves. However, the small, weak Googos
protect themselves, so they are treated like gods across the
land. The rest of what you need to know is in the books.

  Googo Mythology 1

It's survival of the fittest and the weak are destined to die. At the
end of great war, a strong and proud people traversed a burned out
wasteland. They were the Googos. The strong Googo beasts.

After travelling a million nights, some among them chose to settle in
the forest, as opposed to the scorched wasteland. These were the weak
   Googos.

  Googo Mythology 2

The leader of the Googo beasts was Gingaga. His daughter, Donna, was one
of the weak Googos. The weak Googos had no more strength to continue the
journey. Donna decided to live in the forest and told this to her
father. "I will always be waiting for you. My memory will keep you safe.
Someday, I will call you back here. And the strong Googos will be
   stronger than ever."

  Googo Mythology 3

They crossed countless mountains and oceans during their long journey.
Yet, their number was always falling, their power waning, their spirits
weakened. Yet, the beast Googos kept moving. Then, one fated night,
monsters appeared before the Googos. The brave Gingaga attempted to fight
the monsters. It was finished. A jet black sleep fell upon them.

  Googo Mythology 4

Gingaga woke up in the forest. He was alive. And before him, smiling, was
his daughter, Donna. "It happened just like Donna said. The weak were the
ones who saved the strong. By protecting and worshipping them, we shall
become even stronger. Donna was with child. This child would possess
  wisdom, beauty and power.

  Googo Mythology 5

Between the weak and strong Googos a new race was born. They were
thought of as gods. The beast Googos believed that by protecting them,
they could carry on the the supreme children of Gingaga. The Googos that
they worshipped were the weak Googos. May glory and happiness come to
  all Googos. -End-

  Charlina's Servant: I am the servant for this houses's master. She's a
friend of Surasura. And very beautiful.

Charlina: I'm good friends with Surasura. Please tell her what Guruguru
            said.

Googo: Hey, I'm not Surasura. She's over there.

(Talk to Surasura)

  Shu: Surasura...it's about Guruguru.

  Surasura: You met Guruguru?

Kluke: He said to stop ringing the bell, to forget.

  Surasura: Really?

SURASURA RINGS THE BELL.

Surasura: I ring the bell for him. I can never forget....
He didn't steal that treasure. He took the blame for someone
            else.

  Jiro: Took the blame?

JIRARA APPEARS.

  Surasura: Jirara!

Jirara: Stop ringing the bell. Guruguru has been sent to the Exile
Forest. There is no return from that place. Why don't you come
          with me?

Surasura: No matter how many times you ask, I'll always refuse.

Jirara: Then I guess I'll stop. And as promised before, I'm confiscating
          the bell.

  Surasura: Stop!

Jirara: Now you have no bell to ring. Give up. You can come by my place
          any time you like.

JIRARA LEAVES.

Surasura: My bell! The bell that sends my felling to him...

  Marumaro: I don't like him.

Jiro: That was Jirara, the village chief?

Surasura: Yes. He's been coming on to me for ages. I'm positive that he's
the one who stole the treasure.

  Shu: Really?

Jiro: Do you have any proof?

Surasura: No. But, it's said that he got to be village chief through
            dirty ways.

(Talk to Surasura)

Surasura: Jirara took the bell. I wonder what he's planning.

Googo: Jirara lives in that mansion over there. The village has gotten a
lot better since he became chief.

Googo: I've got no money, so they won't let me in the Inn. I want to see
         Kurulin dance.

Googo: The men are all crazy over that Kurulin. What's so good about that
         old hag?

Googo: Why isn't Kurulin's show starting?

Googo: I've been waiting here since morning for Kurulin.

Googo: I can't wait to see Kurulin dance.

(Enter the mansion's grounds...)

Jiro: I hear some noise from behind the building.

  Shu: Let's check it out.

Jirara's Servant: This is Master Jirara's house. There's no way I'm
letting strangers like you in. Please make an appointment.

(Go around back...)

TWO BEAST GOOGOS ARE STANDING NEAR THE BELL.

Googo: How are we going to get this thing in there?

Googo: Hey, doesn't Kurulin's dance start about now?

Googo: Ah, I forgot all about that. Let's leave this here and head to the
         bar.

Googo: Yeah, we can take care of this tomorrow.

(Approach the gate behind the bell...)

Jiro: It's not locked. We can go right in.

ZOLA'S RING STARTS TO GLOW.

  Kluke: You're ring...!

  Jiro: What's going on?

  Zola: It's calling out.

  Shu: What is?

Zola: The ring will guide us. Let's follow it.

(Follow the ring to the middle chamber...)

  Shu: It's King Gibral's treasure.

Kluke: If it was stolen, what is it doing here?

Jirara: What are you doing here?

Shu: Jirara, what are you doing with this thing here?

  Jiro: You stole it.

Jirara: Hehhehe...Hahahaha....There are many ways to get the things you
          want.

Kluke: Are you talking about Surasura?

Jirara: Guruguru and Surasura go back a long time. To tell you the truth,
I think of him as a friend. I showed him a fake jewel and told
him that trade with Gibral would be at risk. So, he took the blame
for it. What a fool. Thanks to that, she...well, she doesn't like
to be rushed. So, slowly and relentlessly, her heart gets closer
          to being mine.

Zola: What a stupid reason. And extremely rude.

Jirara: Now that you know my secret, there's no way I can let you walk
          out of here. Finish them!

(Defeat the Googos)

  Jirara: You can use magic?

  Shu: You're next.

(After the battle...)

  Servant: Master Jirara!

  Jirara: Defeat them!

Zola: Look! The royal treasure is in one piece.

  Servants: What?

  Shu: Jirara lied to you.

Kluke: So, bind his hands and feet.

Zola: Let's go to the Exile Forest. We'll save Guruguru.

  Marumaro: I second it!

Shu: Jirara, this just shows that you can't get away with being evil.

(Leave Jirara's Mansion)

Shu: Surasura, Guragura is innocent. Don't worry, we'll bring him back.

Surasura: Guruguru is innocent. Thank you. Please take this with you.
(Get the GIANT'S NECKLACE) I'll be waiting here. Please save
            Guruguru.

Googo: If Guruguru comes back, I don't know if I can let him back in.

Googo: You made a big mess. We don't know what to do about you.

Googo: We captured Jirara. But, what should we do?

(In the Exile Forest Caverns...)

  Shu: That's Guruguru?

Kluke: A mist...he's all wrapped up in a cursed mist.

  Shu: What should we do?

Zola: We have to get rid of it. It's times like this when magic comes
        in handy.

(Fight Guruguru...)

GURUGURU, DEFEATED, FALLS TO THE GROUND UNCONSCIOUS.

  Shu: Let's take him back.

  Jiro: He looks heavy.

Kluke: Hurry up and help us!

(Back in Alumaru Village..)

  Surasura: Guruguru!

  Guruguru: Surasura...

Shu: Hey, do you remember us?

Jiro: You gave us the message to give to Surasura.

  Guruguru: You? Ah, yes...that's right.

Kluke: It was all Jirara's doing.

Zola: As you can see, the jewel is fine.

  Guruguru: What? But, I...

Surasura: It's ok. You can stay here now.

Guruguru: Will you stay near me?

Surasura: (to Shu) I don't know how to thank you.

  Shu: Don't sweat it.

Kluke: We're just glad that you're back together.

Marumaro: Oh!!! It's time for the Devy super-duper dance!

Zola: (to Guruguru) This belongs to you. We have to hurry on ahead, but
the people of Gibral will always be your allies. Don't worry.

  Guruguru: Thank you.

  Shu: Well then, see ya!

==========================================================================

  Shu: Woah, what is that?

Jiro: It's kind of beautiful, but I've never seen anything like it before.

Shu: I've got a bad feeling about this.

Shu: The moon looks really close for some reason.

Marumaro: Yay!! The moon! The moon!

  Kluke: Huh? It moved!

  Shu: It's moving. Why?

THE MOON TURNS OUT TO BE A LASER CANNON.

  Zola: Over here!

Shu: What the heck is going on!

(Sometime later...)

Jiro: We're gonna get cooked out here.

Zola: We have to make it through. Run!

A HATCH OPENS AND A ROBOT HAND BECKONS THEM TOWARDS IT.

==========================================================================

                        Baroy Town - bd025
==========================================================================

(In the hatch...)

Shu: It's pitch black in here.

Jiro: What was that hand from before?

  Shu: How would I know?

  Zola: It's probably a trap.

  Kluke: I think something's here.

Zola: I feel it, too. We're being watched.

  Shu: Who?

A ROBOT DISAPPEARS AROUND A CORNER

  Shu: Wait!

(Chase after the robot.)

Shu: I got you. Who are you? (He punches the robot) Ouch!

THE DOOR OPENS IN FRONT OF THEM.

Zola: It's a trap, just like I thought.

Kluke: But, it doesn't feel like it.

  Jiro: I don't think they're enemies. It's like they're...

  Zola: Afraid of us.

Marumaro: They don't seem like monsters.

  Shu: What are you?

Robot: I'm glad that you are safe.

  Shu: You saved us?

Robot: Saving humans is our duty.

  Kluke: Duty?

Robot: We are servants created long ago, during the age of magic. We mean
         you no harm.

Zola: We only destroy machines of war. You have nothing to fear from us.

  Shu: Thanks for saving us.

  Robot: Um..

  Shu: What is it?

Robot: Please let us take care of you.

  Shu: Huh?

Robot: It's been so long since we've had someone to look after.

  Shu: Hey, sounds good.

Marumaro: Yeah, take care of us!

Robot: (to the other robots) You heard them. We get to be hosts after
such a long time. Please hurry to your posts.

  Robots: Understood!

Robot: We are at your service. If you need anything, don't hesitate to
         ask.

  Shu: Oh, thanks.

(Talk to the robots.)

#49: This is Baroy Town. We recreated an ancient town with our own
       hands.

Jiro: Ancient? Are they still alive?

#49: The Ancients, our masters, were all killed in the many wars.

#60: Near the end of the war, there was a time when many people
questioned why we were even at war in the first place. However,
new weapons to be used for killing were continuing to be produced.
That satellite in the sky is one of them. These new weapons sparked
yet another war. The end of the Ancients was of their own doing.

#24: The Ancient civilization was really fruitful. Magic and machines
worked together. We are products of that time. But, why did that
great civilization have to end? We don't know.

#58: If we aren't given orders from someone, our bodies rust and we
stop being able to move. It's really scary.

(In one of the rooms...)

Jiro: This is a machine that we can buy stuff from.

Shu: Yeah? So, what's that over there? It sure isn't a salesgirl.

(Accesory List)

  Metal Necklace
  Metal Earring

#18: This is the department store. When you want to buy something, use
       the monitor on that wall.

  Shu: Got it.

#12: That moon is a satellite put there by the Ancients. The lasers that
attacked you were also used in the war. It indiscriminately targets
       anything with magical power.

  #21: This is the Inn.

Shu: I would like to rest.

#21: If you want to stay, pleaes use the monitor on the wall to check-in.

Shu: What? Why don't you do it? What a pain.

#53: We are awaiting the day when a new master will inhabit that temple
       in the back again.

#39: Please allow me to replenish your MP. (YES/NO) I was glad to have
       been at your service.

  #33: Slack-off, Slack-off, that's what I like. Those with their orders
can go eat crap.....! Sorry. I didn't know it was you! I apologize.
       Slacking off cannoot be tolerated.

#32: This is a private house. What right do you have to just barge in?

Shu: Sorry, it's just that all the houses look the same.

#32: You're lost? Well, the Department Store is next to us and the Inn is
       across the square.

#13: I've heard that in the extreme north is a factory that makes the
Aurora. My masters used to love watching it.

#184: The Aurora factory and the basement of the temple of this town
are guarded by machines. At least, that's what my master said. It's
to prevent the misuse of technology.

#33: Ah! You found me again. I'm begging you, please don't follow me.

#99: This door is rusted shut. I'm sorry, but you cannot go through here
at the moment. It should be fixed momentarily, so please be patient.

#89: Please allow me to upgrade your medicine. (YES/NO) Thank you for
allowing me to be of service.

#68: This is the mech robo's special repair garage. We offer really
great tune-ups. I'm afraid it might be dificult to remodel you. I'm
not sure even where to get your parts. It'd take more work than
the "four" who had the best remodeling jobs in history, if I do say
so myself. I'm sorry, but I cannot help you.

#33: I can't seem to get away from you guys, can I? Please, don't tell
anyone that I was slacking off. If the leader finds out, he'll drain
me of my energy. Here, I'll give you this. (MP-UP CAPSULE)

(Enter the door with the yellow mark on it..)

Robot: I must apologize for before. It was I who lead you down here.

Shu: Is that so? Well, thanks. I'm Shu. What's your name?

  Robot: #61.

Shu: What? You all just have numbers?

  #61: Yes.

Jiro: They're machines. It's more functional that way.

Shu: Now that we're all friendly-like, I've got to call you something
       other than #61.

  #61: My sincerest apologies.

Shu: Hey, hey, you don't have to be so formal.

#61: I'm sorry, but I am nothing more than a hunk of metal armor.

Shu: Don't say things like that. Here, let me name you.

#61: No! You will anger my master.

  Shu: Master?

  Kluke: Who are your masters?

#61: My master is right over there.

(Approach the monitor screen)

  #61: It's my master.

  Shu: That is?

#61: Yes. However, my master hasn't shown himself to me for the past
       10,000 years.

  Shu: 10,000 years!

#61: We are all waiting for our new masters to appear on the screens.

Jiro: The Ancients all died in the wars. I don't think that your new
        masters will ever appear.

Marumaro: So why do you keep waiting?

#61: It's our job to wait.

Kluke: This whole thing is depressing me.

A ROBOT ENTERS.

  Robot: #61!

  #61: #35.

#35: Who told you that it was ok for the guests to enter this room?

#61: I'm very sorry. I was telling our guests all about our masters.

#35: Why did you feel it was necessary for them to know that information?

Shu: Hey, hey. He told us because we asked. It's as simple as that.

#35: This is the place where we greet our masters. It's off-limits to
       guests.

  Shu: What!

THEY ARE FORCIBLY EJECTED FROM THE ROOM.

#35: Guests should act like guests. Please allow us to treat you
       hospitably.

Shu: You've got a bad attitude.

#35: Those are the rules. Please refrain from breaking them again.

Shu: I really hate that guy.

  Marumaro: Me, too!

  #61: Please forgive #35.

  Kluke: He's a jerk.

#61: We were all created equally, but depending on the importance of the
jobs we held, our personalities changed.

  Zola: Same as humans.

Marumaro: I'm sure #60's master was nice and kind.

  Jiro: His name is #61.

  Marumaro: Oh, really?

Shu: What a pain. Names are easier to rememeber. Ok. You're new name is
       Yasato. We'll call #35 "Hineto".

  Marumaro: Yasato?

  Jiro: Hineto?

Kluke: Shu, you really suck at this.

#61: Yasato? Is that my new name?

Shu: Yeah, what do you think?

  #35: #61, why aren't you at work?

  Yasato: My apologies, #35.

  Shu: Hineto!

  #35: What did you say?

Shu: From today, you're new name is Hineto.

Hineto: Sir, your words do not compute.

  Shu: It's a name.

Hineto: I am #35. I need no other name than that.

Kluke: You really are a jerk, aren't you?

Hineto: Continue with this behavior and I will be forced to throw you
outside, at the mercy of the lasers.

Yasato: I can't allow you to do that, Hineto.

  Hineto: You called me Hineto!

Yasato: Yes. Doesn't it feel good to have a name?

Hineto: I'm reporting this to #1.

  Shu: What a snitch.

Yasato: It's fine. Is it all right if you become my new masters?

Shu: I don't want to be your master. I'd rather be your friend.

  Kluke: Me, too.

Jiro: It'd be great to have a robot friend.

Marumaro: I'll brag about it when I get back to my village!

  Yasato: Thank you.

(Talk to #99...)

#99: The door repairs are now finished. You may proceed, if you wish.

(Inside the Gate Room...)

  Shu: Where are we?

Jiro: A barrier...? There's a robot over there.

#42: In order to open the gate, you must release the barrier.

Jiro: And how do we release the barrier?

#42: The way to shut off the barrier is in the basement of the temple.
You cannot operate it without magic power.

Jiro: Magic power? I'm sure ours will do just fine.

Shu: Let's give it a shot. To the temple's basement!

#80: Please allow me to heal any of your status effects. (YES/NO) I'm
thrilled that I could be of service.

#73: Thank you for coming. Please allow me to take care of you. (All MP
       recovered)

#77: I am removing the rust from this room, now. It's harmful to humans
       so please careful.

#104: I am an item dealer, but I've been stuck behind this barrier for
the last 10,000 years. If I could only get free, I have some really
nice things for sale. It's a shame.

Jiro: Can we reach the outside throught that door?

#104: Through that door you can make it to the north without the lasers
bothering you. But, because of my master's orders, I am not allowed
        to leave this town.

#78: It's a strange thing, but we have absolutely no recollection of
the war. All we have in our memories are images of the peaceful
times when we served our masters.

(In the Temple Basement...)

  Yasato: Is something wrong?

Shu: We heard that somewhere down here is a way to release the barrier.

Yasato: Yes, there is. If you pass through there, you can make it to the
North, without the lasers firing at you.

Jiro: North is where we're headed.

Yasato: I understand. Please follow me.

Yasato: This is it here. We were told that only our masters could operate
          it.

Shu: We'll give it a shot.

SHU SMACKS THE MACHINE.

  Zola: Look out! Something's coming.

THE MACHINE TURNS INTO A MONSTER.

(After the battle...)

  Yasato: What was that?

  Shu: I'm not really sure...

Jiro: It looks like we have the power to operate the ancient machines
now. If I just push this...

THE BLUE BARRIER DISAPPEARS.

  Marumaro: Awesome!

Yasato: Yes, it is. Could it be that you guys are....?

(YOU GOT THE "BLUE DEVICE")

Yasato: With that power, you can probably open other barriers as well.

(Outside the temple...)

Hineto: Because you entered the temple, all sorts of things have changed
around here. In time, you will pay for your irrational and rash
          decisions.

#99: It looks like the barrier is down. There are more places to clean
       now, so I'm thrilled.

(In the Gate Room...)

Marumaro: The barrier...it's gone! There isn't a sign of it anywhere.

Jiro: Now we should be able to release all the blue barriers in the
        world.

#104: Thanks to you, I can go outside now. Now I can reopen my item shop.
        Please, have a look.

#84: The barrier is down! Now it's my time to shine. When it comes to
spell books, they say the older the better.

(Spell Book List)

Power Lv4 Quick 3250 Gold (Increases character's speed)
Power Lv4 Strength 3050 Gold (Increases physical attack power)
Armor Lv4 Wall-Ra 3250 Gold (Protect against magic attacks)

#88: The release of the barrier started me up after all this time. It's
all 10,000 years old, but would you like to see my wares?

==========================================================================

Toripo: Well, we meet again. I just barely escaped from all those lasers
raining down out there. I'm surprised that the the tunnels are
all connected down here. By the way, how are your clothes? They
are the only ones you have. Do you want to buy something?

I was on my way to the Aurora ruins when I found this place.

Shu: Up ahead is a town of servant robots. They told us a little about
       the Aurora ruins.

Toripo: That's great news! I'm sure we'll meet again. Bye!

TORIPO LEAVES.

Zola: How does he stay in one piece?

Jiro: Well, he is a great adventurer...at least he said he was.

Marumaro: You wouldn't know it looking at him.

Zola: I'm sure he'll be able to locate the Aurora ruins. He's not just
anyone if he could navigate the laser zone without getting a
        scratch.

==========================================================================

                    Ancient Factory - bd027
==========================================================================

Shu: Is that a servant robot...?

Zola: Look closer, it has a weapon. These are for battle.

Jiro: They must have been used in the ancient wars.

Zola: That sound. It's the sound we've been hearing for a while now.

Jiro: So, these machines are still moving?

Shu: Yasato and the others have been moving for the last ten-thousand
years. So, I wouldn't be surprised if these have been, too.

  Marumaro: ........

  Kluke: What's wrong?

Marumaro: Something doesn't feel right. I don't know what it is, but I
            just have a strange feeling.

  Shu: Huh!

  Jiro: They are moving!

Kluke: The war is long over, but they're still making the battle machines.

  Zola: Something's coming.

THE LIGHTS COME ONE AND ROBOTS APPEAR.

Zola: They think we're the enemy.

Shu: Hey, you feel like fighting us? Is that it?

Jiro: I think it's the same with the laser. They sense the magic.

Marumaro: And we reek of it.

  Shu: You said it.

Kluke: I wish you could have used a different word, Maro.

(Fight the robots)

(After fighting the robot near the save point...)

  Shu: That was close...

Kluke: I told you that power only wouldn't be enough.

Jiro: Let's not fight. How about we take a minute and relax.

Shu: No way. I don't want to lose this momentum.

Zola: Soldiers always rest when they have the chance.

  Shu: ......

(In the middle chamber...)

  Shu: It's freaking huge!

Jiro: If we climb up it, we should be able to reach the surface.

Shu: All right. Let's give it a shot.

(Make your way up the stairs to the malfunctioning robot...)

  Shu: What's with this one?

Jiro: I think he was in the middle of being put together.

(During the battle...)

Shu: He can't use a barrier.

Jiro: He must have dropped that equipment.

Zola: Then we should pick it up.

JIRO PICKS UP THE BARRIER SWITCH.

  Shu: What's wrong?

Jiro: I think we can still use it.

  Zola: Let's head above ground.

(YOU GOT THE BROKEN BARRIER DEVICE)

Shu: Ah, we made it out.

  Marumaro: Ah!!!

Shu: Is there still something here?

  Zola: It's coming.

Shu: Then let's take care of it.

CRACKS SPLIT THE LAND AND ROBOTS APPEAR FROM THE CRACKS.

  Shu: Are you serious?

Jiro: They're the ones from the factory.

Kluke: For them, the war is still ongoing.

  Shu: Let's crush 'em all.

THEY RUSH AT THE ROBOTS WHEN SUDDENLY THE ROBOTS STOP. A TV SCREEN POPS OUT
WHERE THEIR HEADS WERE. NENE'S IMAGE APPEARS ON THE SCREEN.

  Shu: Nene?

Marumaro: So you are still alive!

Zola: It looks like the king's felling were right.

  Kluke: Where are you?

Jiro: Don't panic. I'm sure he's close. He's watching us.

  Nene: Crush them!

THE ROBOTS MARCH TOWARDS THE PARTY.

Shu: Jiro, if you can use that device, do it now!

  Jiro: I know. I'm trying.

  Zola: They're coming.

Jiro: Damn! It won't turn on.

SUDDENLY A SHIELD SURROUNDS THE PARTY. THE ROBOTS THAT COME INTO CONTACT
WITH THE SHIELD ARE DISINTEGRATED.

(In the shield...)

Zola: How many of them can there be?

Kluke: I hope the barrier holds out.

  Marumaro: Kill them all!

Jiro: This barrier is incredibly strong.

  Nene: Stop.

THE ROBOTS STOP MOVING.

Shu: Hey! I know you can hear us.

  Nene: You insects...

Shu: Who are you calling an insect?

  Nene: This world is mine.

  Kluke: What's he talking about?

Shu: Come on out. Let's fight it out, fair and square.

Nene: A fight? Why would I fight you? There is no reason to do such a
        thing.

Shu: Shut up! You may not have a reason, but we do!

Nene: I hate you. I hate you for replacing me as the ruler of this world.
I'll show you who's truly king! Break through the barrier!

Shu: What is trying to do?

IN BAROY TOWN, THE ROBOTS ARE GATHERED IN THE TEMPLE, IN FRONT OF THE
SCREEN. NENE APPEARS ON THE SCREEN.

Robot: Oh, Master. We've been waiting for you.

Nene: It's been a long time.

  Robots: Yes, master.

Nene: I have a job for you...

Robot: How many of us do you require for this job?

  Nene: All of you!

(Back in the barrier...)

Shu: How long should we stay like this?

Jiro: Maybe another hour or so...

THE ROBOTS STOP, AS THE OTHER ROBOTS FROM BAROY TOWN APPEAR.

  Shu: Hey.

Jiro: It's Yasato and the others.

THEY START CRASHING INTO THE BARRIER AND EXPLODING.

  Kluke: Stop it!!

Shu: What are you doing! Stop it!

Nene: Just a little more and the barrier is finished. You're doing great
        work.

Robot: Your praise fills us with unspeakable joy.

  Kluke: Stop. Everyone, stop.

Marumaro: Shu, what should we do?

  Shu: I don't know.

Zola: Don't shut off the barrier. We wait here until they're finished.

  Kluke: What! They saved us!

Zola: This barrier will not break so easily. All they are doing now is
thinning their own numbers for us. Preserving your war potential
is one of the most important strategies.

  Marumaro: Lord Zola...

Jiro: As far as tactics go, Zola is right. But....

Shu: I don't care about that. I can't stand around and watch them die.

Zola: They're machines. It's all Nene's to make you feel bad for them.

Shu: But, they talked to us. And they were happy when we gave them names.
       They have feelings.

  Kluke: Jiro, cut the barrier.

  Zola: No, leave it be.

  Shu: Shut it off!!

(Talk to Zola..)

Zola: Do not turn the barrier off!

(DO YOU WANT TO TURN THE BARRIER OFF?) (YES/NO)

THE BARRIER IS CUT AND THE ROBOTS FALL TO THE GROUND.

  Yasato: Everyone...

  Shu: Yasato?

  Kluke: Your master is Nene?

Yasato: Yes. The ancients are our masters.

  Shu: Nene!

  Nene: Capture them!

SHU WAKES UP IN A JAIL CELL.

Shu: Is this prison? I've got to find a way to get out and meet up with
       the others.

HINETO APPEARS.

  Shu: Hineto?

Hineto: That is not my name. My master will be here shortly.

Shu: Nene...? Hey, Hineto, what's Nene coming here for? Hey, how about
       some food?

  Yasato: Master Shu.

Shu: Yasato! Hand me that food. Hineto's being a bully.

YASATO LOWERS THE JAIL CELL BARS.

  Yasato: Please, escape.

Shu: Is it ok for you to do this?

Yasato: I think of you as one of my masters. You gave me a name.

Shu: Thanks. I guess I'll skip the food. Saving everyone comes first.

  Yasato: I'll lead the way.

Shu: Just tell me where they are. It'd be bad for you to be seen with
       me.

Yasato: I see. Be careful of the patrol robots. They're everywhere.

  Shu: Good luck.

(At Jiro's cell...)

  Shu: Jiro!

  Jiro: Shu!

Shu: I can't open it. I'll find the key and hurry back.

  Jiro: Thanks, Shu.

Patrol Robot: Escapee! I will destroy you at once!

YOU GOT THE CELL KEY.

Shu: The key. Now I can open the cell.

  Jiro: Thanks, Shu.

Shu: What's that over there? What are those strange lights?

Jiro: This sequence...the sequence of the lights means something...

  Zola: Thanks.

  Shu: Marumaro!

Marumaro: Hi! How's it going? I was waiting for you to come.

Shu: I can't find Kluke anywhere.

Zola: They probably took her to a different place.

Jiro: We have to get out of here as fast as we can.

Jiro: Ah, I see! The sequence of lamps is the same as the cells.

  Shu: Which means?

Jiro: This light is somehow connected to the cells.

Zola: The lights in the middle are a different color, which might mean
        that something's there.

Jiro: Hmmm, just the ones in the middle.

Shu: The ones in the middle...

(Go through the prison block, closing and opening cell doors until all the
red lights are extinguished, leaving just the blue middle row.)

Yasato: Master Shu, it is I, Yasato.

Shu: Yasato, what are you doing here?

  Marumaro: YA-SA-...

Shu: Shhh! Someone will hear you.

Jiro: Yasato, thank you for helping us.

  Zola: Thanks you.

Yasato: Such gratitude....Ah! Nene will be here shortly.

  Marumaro: Nene!!

NENE APPEARS AND SENDS A ROBOT INTO KLUKE'S CELL.

  Nene: Be gentle with her.

Hinato: Master, I regret to inform you that the four prisoners have
          escaped.

  Nene: What?!

  Shu: Uh-oh, they know.

Yasato: I shall buy you some time. Please use it to rescue Master Kluke.

  Jiro: Yasato...

  Yasato: (to Nene) Master.

  Nene: Oh, it's you.

  Yasato: Yes, I am #61.

  Nene: What do you want?

Yasato: Well, it's about the humans.

Hinato: So it was you who let them out.

Yasato: I did no such thing. They got out by themselves. They used magic.

  Nene: Did you see them?

Yasato: No, but from the state of their cell...

Hinato: Something stinks here. Master, #61 is sympathetic towards the
humans. He can't be trusted. Please check his memory banks. We'll
know immediately if he's lying or not.

Nene: You robots are such useless things.

NENE EXPLODES HINATO INTO A MILLION PIECES.

Nene: Show me your memory bank.

  Yasato: But, master....

  Shu: Wait!

  Jiro: Shu! Marumaro, let's go!

Marumaro: Ok! You too, Lord Zola!

Shu: Nene, let's end this once and for all.

HUNDREDS OF ROBOTS FLOOD INTO THE HALL, SURROUNDING THE PARTY.

  Shu: Kluke!

Jiro: We'll never get close to Nene at this rate.

Zola: There's too many of them.

  Shu: Kluke, wake up! Kluke!

THE ROBOTS ALL MERGE TO FORM A GIANT ROBOT.

  Shu: That's impossible!

  Marumaro: It's huge!!

  Shu: Kluke!

THEY JUMP ON TO THE ROBOT'S FOOT AS IT CLIMBS UP THE VENT. EVENTUALLY,
THEY ARE THROWN OFF.

  Shu: You won't beat me!

  Jiro: Shu!

  Marumaro: Lord Zola!

(AVOID THE SMALL BATTLE DROIDS AND GET CLOSE TO THE GIANT ROBOT)

  Shu: It stopped....?

  Jiro: Shu, let's get Kluke.

  Nene: You insects...

Jiro: Nene, are you planning to use Kluke as a shield?

THE ROBOTS REMERGE AND FIX THE DAMAGED SPOT. THE ROBOT STARTS MOVING AGAIN.

  Shu: No!

  Marumaro: That's not fair!

  Shu: Kluke!!!

THE ROBOT JUMPS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RAVINE.

==========================================================================

                       Paches Town - bd028
==========================================================================

Dabella: Huh? Hi. Do you live in this town? I've never seen your faces
           before, though.

Shu: No, we just slipped in.

Dabella: Slipped in? From where? How? How are you thinking of leaving?

Jiro: We really didn't give it alot of thought before we came in.

Dabella: I'll agree that cities you can both enter and leave are nice.
However, this isn't one of them. This town is being held
prisoner. Nobody is allowed to leave. If you really came
from outside, you have my sympathy.

Shu: You've got to be kidding. There's no way I'm going to believe that.

Resident: We live in an enclosed world. Our hearts are closed off, as
well. You'd think that we we're all dead because of the complete
absence of laughter. This place is no different than a cell.

Resident: It was our goal to have a peaceful, yet independent town.
That's why Nene sealed us in here. We wanted independence and
he gave us an eternity of it.

Boy: Because of that barrier I can't go out and play.

Girl: I want to play outside the city. I want to check for things hidden
        in the rocks.

Resident: I wonder if anything can break that barrier?

Dabella: If only we could use magic, we might be able to break that
           barrier.

  Jiro: Magic?

Dabella: That barrier was made from magic. That's why I think we need to
           use magic to break it.

(WILL YOU USE MAGIC TO BREAK THE BARRIER?) YES/NO

Resident: Just because you can use magic doesn't mean that you can just
run around doing whatever you want.

Resident: Leave this place at once!

  Girl: Don't come near me!

Resident: I'm a pacifist. Stay away, you dirty magic users!

SHU GET HIT IN THE HEAD WITH A ROCK.

  Shu: What was that?

  Boy: Get out of here!

Shu: What do you think you're doing?

Zola: We can't fight against little kids. Let's leave them be.

Farmer: I'm terribly sorry, but we can't allow magicians in this town.
Please leave at once. Oh, but you can't. Hmmm.

Maid: Oh, who might you be?

Elder: I heard that you can use magic.

  Shu: What was that?

  Elder: Magicians cannot be trusted.

  Shu: Why is that?

Elder: Your magic is the same as Nene's.

  Shu: Huh!!!

Elder: You are his accomplices, are you not? You've come bearing
         misfortune for us.

Shu: No, no. We're fighting against Nene.

Jiro: We all just happened upon being able to use magic. We are on your
        side. Please trust us.

Marumaro: It's true! We're all good people. I swear!

Elder: You are fighting against Nene? Can this be true?

Shu: I already told you it was true.

Zola: Please believe us. I am a soldier under King Gibral. Surely you
must understand the meaning behind this ring.

Elder: It bears the crest of the Gibral royal family.

Shu: You see, we're on your side.

Elder: Understood. Please allow to speak to the townspeople.

Elder: I told everyone. Please return to the city free of worry.

Resident: So, you guys are chasing after Nene?

Hedley: It sounds like you made a good impression on the Elder. That's
what you have to do if you want to make in this town.

Resident: I knew all along that you guys were good.

Resident: I hope my son in Gibral is doing well.

Boy: The Elder told me to, so I'll believe you.

Resident: Nene is a horrible monster.

Resident: Please be careful with your magic.

Resident: Please don't do your magic in front of us anymore. We know
you're our allies, but it's still unsettling.

Resident: I wonder what it's like outside?

  Boy: Sorry about before.

Accesory Dealer: In this town, there are two treasure chests covered by
white barriers. I wonder what's inside?

(Accesory List)

  Platinum Bracelet 2500G
  Platinum Ring 2600G
  Platinum Necklace 2700G
  Platinum Earring 2000G

Item Dealer: There's something fishy about the Elder's house. Somewhere
in it are some ancient machines hidden away.

  Dabella: You must be tired.

Shu: I don't see any way to get out of this town. You must have given
up hope a long time ago.

Dabella: We've tried many things. But, the result was always the same.
You'll get used to it soon, as well. It won't do you any good
           to go running around.

Shu: We'll try anything we can to get out of this town. We have to save
       Kluke.

Dabella: Then why don't you try your magic again? I don't think it'll
           work, though.

  Shu: Dammit.

SHU'S DRAGON PUNCHES THE BARRIER TO NO EFFECT.

Shu: No! This is no time to be stuck in a place like this.

Marumaro: We shouldn't have come here.

Shu: Don't say that. I thought there might be some clues about Nene here.

Jiro: Relax, Shu. It's a mistake to get all worked up.

Shu: You're way too relaxed, Jiro!

Jiro: There's nothing we can do.

Shu: Aren't you worried about Kluke?

Jiro: Of course I'm worried. I'm worried to death.

  Marumaro: Shut up!

Shu and Jiro: You're the noisy one!

IN THE EVENING...

  Jiro: So, here you are.

  Shu: Jiro.

  Jiro: I'm sorry about before.

Shu: It was all my fault. I was thinking about Kluke. I have no idea why
I made that ring for her. It was to protect her. But, look what
good it did. It pisses me off!

  Jiro: I'll save Kluke.

Shu: What been up with you recently? You get a little scary whenever we
       talk about Kluke.

Jiro: It's because I love her.

  Shu: Huh?

Jiro: I'm in love with Kluke. That's why I want to save her.

  Shu: Hmmm?

Jiro: Hmmm...is that all you have to say? What are your feelings for her?
Sometimes I get the feeling that you love her, too. She actually
said something about it before. When she's alone she starts to
think of her parents and she can't stop crying. She cries so much
she makes a puddle. She said that you knew that, but she asked you
not to tell anyone. I was so jealous of you. I had no idea about
that side of her. I felt like you two had your own secrets.

Shu: Woah, Jiro. You're kind of losing it.

Jiro: But, if you do like her, then I'll just walk away and forget it.
I know you can make her happy.

Shu: Wait, wait, wait, wait. I think you have the wrong idea.

  Jiro: I don't think so.

Shu: I do have to admit I was a little confused when she took both of the
rings we gave her. I didn't really have the feeling that I was
totally head over heels. It's Kluke, you know? I won't let anyone
ever treat her badly. I know how hard her life's been up until now.
How about this...you like Kluke, and I think she's special.

  Jiro: Sure.

Shu: Tomorrow we'll get out of this town, catch up with Nene and rescue
       Kluke.

ZOLA AND MARUMARO APPROACH.

  Zola: Shu, what's that?

  Marumaro: There's a light.

Jiro: It looks like it's coming from the back of the Elder's house.

  Shu: Something's up.

Maid: The Elder is really proud of the flower vase he keeps in his room.
I'm not even allowed to touch it when I clean in there.

(WILL YOU EXAMINE THE FLOWER VASE?) YES/NO

A SECRET DOOR IS REVEALED.

Jiro: Awesome. I wonder if that's one of the ancient machines?

(WILL YOU FLIP THE SWITCH?) YES/NO

(YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF A DOOR SOMEWHERE.)

  Elder: It's you.

  Shu: What is this place?

Marumaro: Strange picture....did you paint that?

Elder: No. My ancenstors painted this. It depicts the last days of the
ancients. Actually, the very last day.

  Shu: What is that?

Elder: That monster is said to have been created by the ancients, during
the long war. However, it gained magic power and wrought havoc
on mankind. Man, using the moon of fire, sealed away the monster.
Yet, in the fire and fear that followed, they met their end.

  Marumaro: I don't get it.

Zola: So, they used power to restrain power.

Elder: In the end, it was all for naught.

  Marumaro: What's this?

  Elder: Don't touch that!

MARUMARO PUSHES A BUTTON AND THE MOON STARTS FIRING LASERS INTO THE BARRIER.

  Marumaro: What's going on?

Jiro: Wait, you can control the moon with this?

  Elder: It looks that way.

Jiro: We can use the moon laser now.

  Marumaro: But, it's broken.

  Jiro: You're right. There's a piece missing.

  Elder: Because of Nene.

  Shu: Nene?

Elder: He threw the piece down that hole. He told us to go pick it up
and learn how to use it ourselves.

Jiro: I wonder why he would do that. It's like this is all a game to him.

Elder: Nene is evil, pure and simple.

(Approach the hole.)

  Elder: It's dangerous down there.

Shu: Don't worry. We'll get the piece. Then we can fix the machine and
       destroy the barrier.

Elder: Good luck and be careful.

Underground...

Jiro: It looks like a dead-end.

Shu: If only the conveyor belt was going the other way.

Jiro: Let's head back to where we started and see if we missed anything.

(Find the switch to reverse the direction of the belt.)

THE BOSS CREATURE APPEARS...

Shu: It's a machine, but it has a skull for a head.

Mind (Boss): After 4 counts, you'll be dead.

(YOU GOT THE GREEN DEVICE)

Jiro: This must be the missing piece to the machine.

  Shu: Let's hurry it back.

(WILL YOU RETURN TO THE SURFACE?) YES/NO

Elder: Oh, you're back safe. Did you retrieve the missing part?

Shu: I told you we would.

Elder: Then let's try it out.

  Jiro: It should work now.

  Marumaro: Let's move the moon!

MARUMARO PUSHES THE BUTTON.

Jiro: Hey! We haven't set it yet. If it's too strong, it could blow this
        whole place sky high.

  Shu: Turn it off!

  Marumaro: It's ok! Don't worry.

EVERY MOON IN THE SKY STARTS FIRING AT THE TOWN. THE BARRIER IS DESTROYED.

  Shu: Awesome.

Marumaro: I said it'd be ok.

  Elder: At last...

  Marumaro: Let's go!

  Resident: The sky...

Marumaro: The wind feels so nice.

  Resident: Ah! It's the magicians.

Resident: Elder, what happened to the sky?

Elder: We used an ancient machine to destroy the barrier that surrounded
         our vilage.

  Resident: Really?

Resident: You got the machine to work?

Elder: Yes, thanks to these people.

Resident: I was like the old wars.

Zola: You're right. But, we didn't use it to overpower anyone.

Marumaro: Everyone, look up at the sky. That's the sky's real color.

Shu: Now we can leave the town.

  Resident: (to her kids) Wait!

Old Woman: The sky's real color...

  Girl: It's beautiful, isn't it?

Resident: I always thought of it as a tool of war. I never dreamed that
we could use it for this.

Old Woman: The warm sun makes me feel young again.

Resident: The moving castle that was used in the ancient war is hurrying
through the snow fields. Take care.

Farmer: The sky is so much brighter now.

Dabella: I knew from the first time we met that you would save us.

Boy: Thanks! The barrier is gone!

IN THE SNOW FIELDS...

A LASER SHOOTS AT THE PARTY.

  Shu: What was that?

THE LASERS MAKE A LONG OBELISK-SHAPED ROCK FALL ACROSS THE RAVINE.

Elder: I hadn't said thank you yet.

Zola: That was you controlling the lasers?

  Elder: Please, take this.

  Shu: Really?

Elder: We don't have any use for it anymore. But, I think it may come in
         handy on your journey.

  Jiro: Thank you.

  Zola: We are very grateful.

(YOU GOT THE GREEN DEVICE)

(Fight your way through the snow fields until you get to the giant crater.)

Shu: Hey that's the robot that Kluke is in!

  Marumaro: Kluke is here!

Zola: I think you're a little quick with your conclusions.

Jiro: It could be a trap. Maybe we should form a plan of some kind first.

Shu: How about we get as close as we can!

SHU RUNS OFF TOWARDS THE ROBOT.

THE PARTY SLIDES DOWN THE HILL OF SAND. THE GROUND STARTS TO SHAKE.

  Jiro: What's that?

  Marumaro: An earthquake?

  Zola: It was a trap.

THE ROBOT STARTS TO EMERGE FROM THE SAND.

  Marumaro: I'm being sucked in!

  Zola: I've got you.

  Shu: You'll never beat me!

THE ROBOT STOPS MOVING AND NENE APPEARS THROUGH THE TOP, HOLDING KLUKE.
KLUKE IS WEARING SOME KIND OF COLLAR.

Marumaro: What did they do to Kluke?

  Shu: Nene!

  Jiro: Let her go!

NENE'S ROBOT THROWS KLUKE AT THE PARTY.

Zola: Use your magic. Catch her!

KLUKE GETS THROWN BACK AT NENE.

  Jiro: No, the wind...

  Zola: Try it again.

  Shu: We don't have time!

(PRESS THE BUTTON THAT APPEARS ON THE SCREEN)

SHU CATCHES KLUKE IN MID-AIR.

  Jiro: Shu!

  Marumaro: That was so cool!

  Shu: She's ok.

  Jiro: That's great news.

  Zola: What is that?

Shu: Nene! What did you do to her?

JIRO TOUCHES THE COLLAR AND GETS A SHOCK.

  Shu: What happened?

Jiro: I don't know. But, my arm is numb.

Shu: Nene! What did you do!

  Marumaro: Kluke! Hang in there!

  Shu: Kluke, wake up.

  Kluke: Shu...Jiro...

Marumaro: Zola and I are here, too!

  Kluke: Everyone, thank you.

  Zola: Are you all right?

Kluke: Yeah. Shu, please put me down. I'm fine. I can stand on my own.

NENE PUSHES A BUTTON AND KLUKE'S COLLAR STARTS TO GLOW RED.

  Kluke: What's going on?

Shu: I'll take it off for you.

SHU GETS SHOCKED AND IS THROWN BACK.

Shu: I'm going to get that off you. Marumaro, give me a hand.

Kluke: Shu, please stop. It's impossible.

Nene: You should listen to her. You cannot get it off. For one hour, that
        is.

  Shu: One hour?

Nene: That thing around her neck is a bomb. You have one hour until it
        goes off.

  Jiro: A bomb?

Shu: You get joy from watching us suffer, don't you?

Nene: Do you want me to shut it off? I'm sure you do. If so, you should
approach me. Take this switch from me and turn it off yourself.

THE ROBOT EMERGES FROM THE GROUND AND IS RIDING ABOARD SOME KIND OF SPHERE.

Marumaro: He has all kinds of toys, doesn't he?

A RAMP POPS OUT OF THE SIDE OF THE SPHERE.

Shu: I guess he's inviting us in.

  Jiro: How nice of him.

Nene: You have no time for standing around.

Shu: Kluke, we're going to save you.

==========================================================================

  Shu: We don't have time!

Jiro: We have to deactivate the bomb.

  Zola: Let's get going.

  Shu: What is this place?

Jiro: We have to be careful. I'm sure this place is loaded with traps.

Marumaro: So, is this Nene's fortress?

  Kluke: Could be.

  Marumaro: Ah! Another earthquake!

Shu: Something's coming. I'm sure of it.

  Kluke: It's the Land Shark!

Zola: So, that's the Land Shark.

Shu: I didn't think we'd run into it here. This time we can't let it get
       away.

(Defeat the Land Shark and warp to the 2nd floor.)

Shu: Szabo...I thought we killed you.

Szabo: I am a machine,so I cannot be killed. I've been rebuilt. Thanks
to my master, I have been given the chance to fight you again.

  Shu: You cheat...

Jiro: So, if Nene doesn't fix you, then you're finished, right?

  Marumaro: Sucks to be you.

Szabo: Shut up! My master grants life to those he feels are useful. Any
         thing useless must die.

Zola: This is their last chance. If they screw up this time, they have no
hope of ever being repaired again. They are risking death, which
means they'll throw everything they have at us.

Shu: Well, we're fighting to save Kluke.

Szabo: Gaze upon my new cannon and say your prayers.

  Shu: Say your own instead.

Szabo: Master Nene gave me this cannon. You'll pay for trying to
         destroy it.

  Shu: This ends here.

Szabo: You humans are frightening creatures. I never thought you'd be
able to use magic so well. What the master is searching for is...

SZABO IS EXPLODED BY A LASER FROM SOMEWHERE.

Marumaro: Why did he explode like that?

  Zola: Nene.

  Shu: Nene?

Zola: That ray of light. It was his magic for sure.

Kluke: He's listening. He must have been watching us since the beginning.

Shu: I wonder what Szabo was trying to tell us?

Jiro: He said that Nene was searching for something.

  Marumaro: What could it be?

(Warp to the 3rd floor.)

THE MOONS START FIRING AT THE PARTY.

  Jiro: The moons...!

Shu: Where's that device? We can fight back using our own moon.

Jiro: That's right. We can only control one moon, though. Nene's
        controlling all the rest.

  Shu: One should be enough.

(Warp to the 4th floor.)

THE ROBOTS MERGE TO FOR THE GIANT ROBOT.

Shu: Him again? Let's blow him apart.

  Jiro: Did you see that?

  Shu: What?

Jiro: There's a leader robot. The leader is probably controlling all of
        them. Let's attack the leader.

Kluke: But, how do we know which one is the leader?

Jiro: I don't which one is which, but the leader must be one of these.

  Shu: Just destroy them all!

(Warp to the 5th floor)

Jiro: Just one more floor to go.

Shu: Is that where Nene is?

  Kluke: Probably.

  Kluke: Yasato.

Yasato: You came, so it can't be helped. We must destroy you.

  Shu: You're our enemy now?

  Zola: Let's do this.

Shu: No! I can't fight him. Yasato, stop it.

Yasato: I'm very sorry, but my master was most displeased with the fact
that I let you escape. I was reprogrammed so that I could never
disobey him again. Please destroy me, so that you can save Kluke.

Shu: I can't do that. You're my friend!

Yasato: I beg you. Destroy me.

Shu: What is that...a vacuum cleaner?

  Shu: What is Yasato doing?

Kluke: It looks like the vacuum is putting up a fight.

Jiro: It looks like we can attack just the vacuum cleaner now.

Shu: Let's make it into a million pieces!

Kluke: (to Yasato) Are you ok?

Yasato: I'm fine. I'm very sorry about that.

Shu: It's fine. No need to apologize.

Jiro: You should get away from this place.

  Yasato: Everyone, please hurry.

  Szabo: Wait!

  Shu: Szabo!

Marumaro: You don't give up, do you?

ZOLA JUMPS OFF THE LIFT TO FACE SZABO.

  Marumaro: Lord Zola!

  Zola: Leave him to me.

Marumaro: I want to go, too.

Zola: You have to take care of Shu and the others.

Nene: Welcome. I can see that the little insects have become butterflies,
        thanks to my test.

Jiro: Test? (looks at Kluke's bomb collar) That? That's our test? No
matter how hard we try, you still laugh at us.

  Shu: I hate you!

NENE'S EYE LASER SENDS SHU FLYING BACKWARDS. NENE REACHES FOR THE BOMB'S
BUTTON.

  Shu: Stop!

NENE PUSHES THE BUTTON.

  Shu: Kluke!

  Jiro: Kluke!

  Shu: Nene, take it off!

(Hold down the left trigger and rapidly hit the button shown)

  Kluke: Everyone, stay away.

Jiro: You know we can't do that.

Shu: Just a little more, I can feel it. Use all the strength you have.

THE SHADOWS APPEAR BEHIND THE CHARACTERS.

Nene: Yes, just a little more.

  Nene: Now!

NENE PRESSES THE BUTTON AGAIN AND COLLARS APPEAR ON ALL THE CHARACTERS.

  Kluke: Everyone!

Shu: Nene, what do you think you're doing?

Jiro: These collars aren't bombs, are they? It's all been a trap to get
        us like this.

Nene: You are truly spectacular. Such courage, such determination, you'll
make the perfect vessel for my soul.

  Shu: What!

Nene: I am a being from long ago, cursed with a disease that made me age
rapidly. This body is always awaiting its demise. Don't you see?
Everyone always sings the praises of youth, yet I've never known
it. Why did this happen to me? Why aren't you scared of dying?
        It's unforgivable. UNFORGIVABLE!!

Deathroy: Do you feel better now?

Nene: Yes, Deathroy, I do. My little, yet only, friend. If you weren't
here, I'd have died a lonely, solitude death by now.

Deathroy: Then it's good I'm here.

Nene: Deathroy, it's time to collect the vessels.

THE SPHERES OF LIGHT LEAVE THE CHARACTERS BODIES AND FLOAT IN THE AIR. THE
PARTY COLLAPSES AND NENE ABSORBS THE POWERS OF ALL THE SHADOWS. THEY FORM
A NEW SHADOW. NENE'S BODY AND FACE CHANGE TO A MORE YOUTHFUL, POWERFUL LOOK.

Nene: Great! Me, that is. With this power! There was a reason that I was
awoken in this age! To resurrect the Age of Magic!!

NENE HOPS INTO AN OSTRICH-SHAPED MECH.

  Shu: You won't beat me!

Nene: Just as I'd expect from the perfect vessel. To still have so much
power, even after your role is finished.

Shu: I have enough to finish you!

Nene: I will crush you like the insect you are.

NENE CRUSHES SHU WITH THE MECH'S FOOT, YET SHU RESISTS AND HOLDS IT ABOVE
HIS HEAD.

  Shu: You won't beat me!

Nene: How are you doing that? You don't have any more magic!

SHU'S SHADOW APPEARS FROM BEHIND HIM.

  Kluke: Shu...

  Shu: Kluke, run! Hurry!

  Kluke: I can't move. It's only you...

Nene: What's the matter? Give all you've got!

(RAPIDLY PRESS THE BUTTON DISPLAYED TO RESIST BEING CRUSHED.)

Shu: I'm running away this time, but I will get you! Mark my words!

SHU'S DRAGON APPEARS AND TELEPORTS SHU AND THE REST OF THE PARTY TO SAFETY.

Nene: The shadow...why? I absorbed that power!

(PLEASE INSERT DISC 3)
(DO YOU WANT TO SAVE? YES/NO)

SHU WAKES UP IN A DARK, WET PLACE. HE SEES THE OTHER PARTY MEMBERS AND RUNS
TOWARDS THEM, BUT THEY ARE CRUSHED BY THE MECH'S FOOT.

  Shu: Jiro! Kluke! Marumaro!

NENE APPEARS AND GRABS SHU FROM BEHIND.

  Shu: Let me go!

  Nene: This world is mine.

Shu: What are you saying? Let me go!

NENE PRESSES SHU'S FACE UP TO THE WINDOW TO SHOW HIM THE DESTRUCTION
OUTSIDE.

SHU WAKES UP IN A BED.

  Shu: That was a dream?

Old Woman: Oh, you're awake. You slept like a log, you did. You were out
             for three days.

  Shu: Three days!

Old Woman: I found you passed out near the village.

  Shu: Where are my friends?

Old Woman: They already awoke and are now in the town square. They were
worried about you. You were the only one that wouldn't wake
up. That girl cried her eyes out.

Shu: Town square? You said this was a village, right? What's the name?

  Old Woman: Devour Village.

Shu: I'm from Tata Village. Thank you for saving me.
