Just for gears 1 not really. what i would do if i were you is to look at a list of xbox exclusive game and figure out which ones you would want. if your not someone thats going to get into games like halo, crackdown, left for dead, fable 2, and other game on the list then decide. many games like bioshock 2, final fantasy 13, resident evil 5, dark void and prototype are coming out for both systems.

It's really a question of what you personally like. Each system works basically the same but in the end it's the games that will make or break your decision here. First i'd look into the systems and see if one system has one or more features the other doesnt have and is it worth it to have those features. then look at the lists of exclusive games for each system and see what looks like they have more gameplay and of course fun. if it's not fun then why are you playing. I personally prefer games that incorporate many people all over the globe. So i chose the XBOX 360. But if you prefer your basic hack and slash or rpg your more likely to choose a PS3. As i said it's really up to you on what happens from here.

I say yes. Because there are so many other great games. Check out videos or gameplay footage. It allso depends on your taste in games. For shooters games like Gears of War 1&2, Halo 3, or The Orange Box are awesome. And even better ones on the way. For RPGs you got The Elder Scrools 4: Oblivion or Fable 2. Check magezines like gameinformer for the newer titles.

personally I thinks its a good investment. so yeah go for it.

I would definatly get the 360 cause all PS3 has over it is graphics, 360 has way better games and even though you have to pay for live, it is better than the PS3 internet network.

The Gears of War series is by far one of the best 3rd person shooter games only on the Xbox 360, when I did get my Xbox 360 I bought the 1st and 2nd Gears of War, I didn`t like the first one so I took it back to the store, but that was a misstake, I loved Gears of War 2 and now that its out I love Gears of War 3 but when I got the 3rd one I was mad because I should have kept the 1st one, but now I have it again, I was getting really pissed off at it because it was so different than the 2nd or 3rd, but I put that behind me, so now I own the whole series of Gears of War, and I have to say it was well worth the money.
