How do i get par time on half pipe elite in advanced levels?

I have beaten the level before so i know the lay out. However i cant seem to get par time. the quickest i have ever gotten is like 5 min something. Whats the trick or is there a faster way to build up your blast meter?

Answer

Instead of using the blast meter to go up the ramps, hold down the jump button when you go down the first side of a half-pipe or quarter-pipe. However, you may have to depend on a few lucky bounces to beat the par time. You could also look up a youtube vid of it.
