"This game is Shockingly fun"
Bioshock is a first person shooter survival horror game. Made by Havok and Bink Video in 2007, it is one of the most intense games you could play.
Gameplay (10/10): You can choose from a variety of different weapons, anywhere from pistols and shotguns to chemical throwers and grenade launchers. Each gun has different ammo that you can use. There are normal rounds, armor-piercing rounds, antipersonnel rounds, electric bucks, exploding bucks and more. There are also many plasmids that you can use. Plasmids are used much like magic in other games like Oblivion, only instead of magic, it comes from a drug that you keep pumping into your arm. You can electrify the water to kill everyone in it, set people on fire, freeze them and then smash them with a wrench, among other things. You can also do all sorts of crazy things, such as using telekinesis to throw the enemies own grenades back at them, or using their organs as first aid kits.
Story (7/10): The story can be a little shaky at times, but for the most part, you are on a plane that crashes in the beginning of the game and get stranded in an underwater city called Rapture. This underwater version of hell is ruled by Andrew Ryan. Nearly everyone is hostile, and you need to find a way to get back. There's nothing else to be said, really.
Graphics (9/10): The graphics in this game are amazing. As soon as you can move, you will notice that the graphics in this game are awesome. You can see every detail as if it were a photograph. The only reason that I didn't give it a 10/10 is because a lot of the enemies don't have too good of graphics compared to everything else, although they are passable.
Audio (9/10): The music in this game is really creepy, and fits. The music alone will probably make you not want to play this game alone in the dark. All of the enemies are given extremely psychotic dialogue, and just adds to the general creepiness factor of this game.
Overall: 9/10. This game is definitely a buy. The only reason that you couldn't is if you are not a fan in horror and shooting games in general. You can probably pick this game up for $20 dollars or so, so what are you waiting for? Go and buy it.
