Please read first HELP!

Hello, since I am from Germany and by that bought the German version of the 
game, which only contains the German (and French) language files, the 
move/combo names listed in this guide are in German. Of course you can 
still use this guide since the button sequences are the same but you will not 
know what move it is until you try. I will try to translate them by myself, 
but if someone is willing to help me and can email me (dumichauch64@gmx.de) 
the English names of the moves, I will replace the German names of the moves 
and of course include your name in this FAQ.  Being from Germany and writing 
in English also means that there maybe a few more mistakes than normal, 
please feel free to email me the mistake so I can correct them.

This guide is a move list of all combos that can be found in Spider Man 3 for 
360. All combos means, that I also will list the hidden/secret combos, which 
are in the game as well as the normal combos and their name, like for example 
press X for a simple punch.

The combat

The combat in Spider-Man 3 is a huge part of the game and so button mashing 
will also kind of work, you will find that it is much easier when you know 
what you do and that it is a lot more fun when you know how to do the combos.

1.0 Basic combat information

Combat strategies
------------------

If you are having problems to hit an opponent, do charge the move by pressing 
and holding X or Y. You can charge every last punch or kick of every combo. 
You are Spider-Man (not really) if you are having problems with a huge group 
of enemies jump into the air and destroy them from there, one by one.

During a combo you can change the target by simply pressing the left 
thumbstick into the new enemy`s direction. Use this to hit an enemy with good 
health with the last often devastating punch of a combo and not to hit the 
enemy who is already as good as dead.

Dodging, countering and the warning signs
-------------------------------------------
Pressing and holding LB will make Spider-Man auto-doge every attack that is 
marked via a yellow fist or a red atomic sign over the enemy`s head, you can 
also press and hold LB to be safe in combat while you get the camera into the 
position you want it. You can hold down LB for around 8 seconds.

When dodging an attack and if but only if a X appears you can counter that 
attack by pressing X or Y. A counter attack does more damage.

Yellow fist means someone is about to kick, punch or throw you, red atomic 
sign means someone is about to shoot at you or to throw things at you.
Dodging counts as combo and by that will fill your Special Meter but that 
only counts for the red suit Spider-Man.

A purple sign with a crossed circle means that you can`t dodge that attack.

There are also blue signs which appear during only a few enemy attacks. The 
blue sign means that dodging and countering these attacks leads to a special 
counter. If you are standing close and do not counter these attacks you will 
be hit.
Enemies which use these kinds of attacks are for example the gang leaders of 
the Arsenic Candy gang (the one with the huge hammer) and the gang leaders of 
the Apocalypse gang (the ones with the stop sign).

The rage-meter
---------------
When fighting as black suit Spider-Man your rage-meter will fill by doing 
damage to enemies and also by taking damage through opponents. Also you can 
slowly fill it by rapidly pressing RB, while standing, swinging or jumping.
You will hear a short sound-clip playing when the rage-meter is full. 
Activate the rage-mode by pressing RB 5 times quickly (or simply mash the 
button). During rage-mode your punches and kicks (not throws) do more damage 
and you are able to execute the rage special moves.

X Schlag (1 DP), a quick single left hand punch that doesn`t do much damage. 
Use it charged to finish off enemies which havent much health left.

Y Federtritt (1,8 DP)

X, X Rechter Haken (2 DP), the second button input needs to follow quickly.

X, Y  Doppelkick

X, X, X  Aufwaertshacken

Y, Y, Y  Hammer, does impact damage to all enemies standing close to you.

X, X, X, X  Rueckwertsschlag

Y, Y, Y, Y  Orkan

Y, Y, Y, Y, B throw a web ball to web-up enemies. The special about doing 
this after the Orkan moves is that this web-ball doesn`t do damage but there 
for the Orkan move doesn`t have to hit to make it work.

X, X, X, X, X, X  Kieferknacker  

X, X, X, X, X, B  nameless move, last one is a punch that can hit multiple 
enemies and so it is done by pressing B, you can hold and charge it.

X, X, X, X, X, B, B  nameless move, web-up, up to 5 enemies. This is the 
earliest impact-webbing move you get in the game.

X, X, X, X, X, X, B  Net rodeo, Spidy will automatically start to spin the 
enemy (enemies)around.


Y, X (X up to 10 times) Furienschlag

Y, (hold) X  Tornadofaust

X, X, Y  Tornadotritt

Y, Y, X  Himmelstritt, launcher move, which sets up opponent for air combos.

Y, Y, Y, Y, X (X multiple times) Flipper, Spidy does the Flipper-special move 
without needing a full special-meter.

X, X, X, X, X, Y  Multi-Launcher, do the Multi-Launcher special without 
needing a full special-meter.

X, X, X, X, X, X, Y  Netzschlag, knocks out most enemies with a single blow, 
even when only the last punch hits. Gang leaders will block this attack. 

X, Y, X, X  Treppenfurie

Y, Y, X, X  Treppenfurie

X, X, X, Y, X  Korkenzieher, the last move has a good range which is also 
good to escape out of a group of enemies. You will hit all enemies standing 
in your way.

X, X, Y, Y  Furienfaust. Short stun, when charged, against the Arsenic and 
the Apocalypse gang leaders.

X, X, Y, Y, Y Net hammer, the in game move list, lists this move as X, X, Y, 
Y but it needs one more Y to make it work. Nice move! Spidy will use his net 
to slam the enemy over his head into the ground, the problem with that is, 
that the last Y needs to hit, but most enemies can dodge it. So it works fine 
against the gang leaders, except the Apocalypse gang boss.

X with the back to an opponent or X and back on the left thumbstick: no name 
Kick. Can be two hits. If you press X again after this move the second punch 
will also have a different animation. Spidy spins around his own axis and
punch.


Run with LT press Y: Schwungkick

Run with LT press X: Drachenfaust (1 DP). This move sends the enemy flying 
Into the air, holding X makes Spider-Man follow him. Nearly never works 
against the Arsenic Candy gang girls, so don?t use it.


While swinging around a lampost or trafficlights press Y or X to attack.

While charging a jump by holding A press RB to cancel that jump and to do a 
Left Uppercut, the same as while running pressing X.

While wall-running press X, Spidy will jump towards the next enemy with both 
feet first. 

While wall-running press Y, Spidy will jump towards the next enemy with both 
fists first.

While swinging around a trafficlights, press X or Y to attack the nearest 
enemy.


Quick Escape (1 Dp): After landing an un-charged punch or kick, press A, 
Spidy will jump off, of the enemy`s head into the air.
This move is very good for a quick escape into the air during a fight and 
also 
does a little damage to most enemies. Notice that you can not double jump 
after 
that move. After that you can press Y to do a Raketenabwurf.

2.1 Attacks with the B button (grabs, throws, net-balls, bind enemies to 
lampost)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

B (with the enemy NOT close to you): Zugnetz, bring the enemy close to you.

Press and hold B (with the enemy NOT close to you): Baendiger, web-up the 
targeted enemy, you can web-up up to 5 opponents. Hold down the B button a 
few seconds to make the binding last longer (5 seconds).

Press and hold B  (with the enemy NOT close to you) than press up on the left 
thumbstick to jump to that enemy (Netzgreifer) or press down on the left TS 
to bring that enemy close to you (Zugnetz).

Press and hold B (with the enemy NOT close to you) release B and quickly 
press and hold B again, by doing so you can web-up more than one enemy at the 
same time.

Press and hold B  (with the enemy NOT close to you) then do circle moves with 
the left thumbstick: Netz Rodeo, this move doesn`t deal much damage but is 
great when fighting close to the water, use this move to throw the enemies 
into it (for example: during Arsenic Candy combat tour 4). 

Bind enemy(ies) to trafficlights/lampost: While standing near a trafficlights,
press and hold B  (with the enemy NOT close to you)to web-up the enemy, then 
press A. 
You can do this with more than one enemy at the same time and you can also 
bind the same enemy with both feet and both hands to the same trafficlights 
or to different ones. To do this simply repeats the move while the enemy is 
hanging from a trafficlights.  


B (with the enemy close to you): grab enemy

RB + B (with the enemy close to you): instead of grabbing the enemy you will 
web him up; of course you can only do that when the special meter isn`t full, 
if it is full you will do the special instead.

B (grab) then A: Aufmischer, Spidy jumps into the air with the enemy.

B (grab) then B + left thumbstick:  throw enemy into that direction

B (grab) then Y: Luftangriff (1.8 DP). A throw which looks cool.

B (grab) then X (X up to 10 times): Furienschlag


After a combo that ended with X, press  B:  Ultra-Netzbaelle, shot web-balls. 
You don`t even need to hit an enemy to make it work. Doesn`t work after 
Furienschlag. Doesn`t work after the first blow of a counter.

After a combo that ended with Y, press B:  Ultra-Klebebombe, web-up up to 
6 enemies. You need to land the hit or atleast be very close to an enemy. 
This 
move also does some damage. Doesn`t work after the first blow of a counter.


Throwing wooden pallet: When standing near a wooden pallet press B to throw 
or kick at at an enemy.

Wooden pallet rodeo: Hold B, while standing near a wooden pallet to do a Net 
Rodeo with it.

RB + A:  Ultra-Multi-Launcher, best special move, launches into air all 
enemies standing in close to middle distance to Spider-Man and does good
damage. Works even against enemies standing behind him.

RB + B: Ultra-Multi-Rodeo, does more damage than the normal rodeo move.

RB + Y:  Erstaunlicher Erdschmeterer

RB + X: Erstaunlicher Flipper, this move can stun some enemies. The member of 
the Dragon Tails gang can dodge this special.

don`t need to hit an enemy wit Y, Y, X to make it work. The web-ball does

hanging from a lamppost.

RB + B: Multi-Netzbaelle (without full a Special Meter)

press B, press A, press B, press A, etc.: Go high into the air while keeping 
the enemy close to you. When doing this with Mad-Bomber-Uzi-Soldiers, you can 
go as high as you want.


B (with the enemy NOT close to you): Luft-Zugnetz, use this to get an enemy 
close to you.
 
hold B (with the enemy NOT close to you): Luft-Baendiger. Web-up an opponent 
standing on the ground.

hold B (with the enemy NOT close to you) then press then press up on the left 
TS: Netzverbindung 


B (with enemy close to you): grab enemy

B (grab), then Y: Kopfsmasher (4,5 DP), when pressing Y again it knocks out 
Most small enemies (9,5 DP) (not Dragon Tails members and Mad-Bomber-Uzi-
Soldiers).This move also does damage to all enemies standing below you when 
landing.  Going higher into the air does not help to increase the damage done 
to the grabbed enemy.

B (grab), then B: Niederwurf, throws enemy to the ground.

B (grab), then B, then Y or X: Raketenabwurf

and the special is wasted. To high means that already a fully charged jump is 
to high.

the normal Tornadotritt. Still a gentleman.  

X, Y, X  Himmelstritt, launcher move which sets up the enemy for air combos.

Y, Y, X Helicopter

Press A, Y after any punch or kick that hits: Witwen Macher (example X, A,
Y), works against up to 3 enemies standing in front of you.

X, X, X, Y  Vernichter, strong forward punch at the end which hits all 
enemies standing in its way.

X, X, Y, X, X, X  Cannonball

X, X, X, X, X, Y  Multi-Launcher. Do the Multi-Launcher special without 
needing a full special-meter. Doesn`t do as much damage as the special.

X, X, X, X, Y  Netz-Sammlung

X, X, X, X, X, X, B  Netz-Rodeo

X, X, X, X, X, X, Y  Netzschlag, sometimes ends as Netz-Rodeo.

X, X, X, X, X, B  namless move

X, X, X, X, X, B, B  nameless move, web-up up to 5 enemies.


RB + A (without special)  Double handed uppercut.  


While wall running press X, Spidy will jump towards the next enemy with both 
feet first. 

While wall running press Y, Spidy will jump towards the next enemy with both 
fists first.

RB + A: Ultimativer-Puppenspieler, works against up to 6 enemies standing in 
front of you in close to middle distance. Knocks Out most of the enemies with 
one hit.

RB + X: Dunkler Flipper

RB + Y: Ultimatives Erdbeben

RB + B: Ultimativer-Multihammer press B again when the enemy hits the 
ground to slam him again (up to 4 times). Works with more than one enemy at 
the same time.

4.0 New Goblin
=============================================================================

move left thumbstick, left or right: turn left or right

move left thumbstick up: go down

move left stick down: go up

RT:  accelerate (press harder to gain more speed)

LT:  turbo (this will use up energy, the energy is shown as green in the 
upper left corner of the screen. If you don`t use LT the energy will recharge.
During Goblin races you can recharge it by collecting the  .... flying in the 
air.) 

While flying with LT; press and hold LB, turn the camera using the left 
thumbstick. As soon as you release LB, the new Goblin will make a quick turn 
into the direction the camera was facing. 

LB + left stick left or right: strafe left or right

X: Sword blow (up to 3 times) 

Y: Sword blow (up to 3 times) 

After a sword blow with X or Y, directly press B to quickly throw a Pumpkin 
Bomb.

B: throw Pumpkin Bomb  (press and hold B to increase throw distance)

A: lock target (press A again to circle through targets)

RB + X:  throw 3 Pumpkin Bombs (press and hold B to increase throw distance)

RB + Y:  throw shuriken (press and hold B to increase throw distance)

RB + B: throw Pumpkin Bomb which causes a triple explosion (press and hold B 
to increase throw distance)

5.0 The Combat Tours
=============================================================================

Finishing all combat tours gives you an achievement which is worth 30 GS 
Points.

If you need more than 10 minutes the combat tour is over.

5.1 The Apocalypse
-------------------

Health of a normal gang member: 5 HP

The Apocalypse gang is the weakest out of the three gangs, they won`t block 
much and two charged punches are enough to knock them of their feet. X hold Y 
is one gang member less to worry about. Against the gang leaders the air move 
Knock Out (X, X, X, Y, Y, Y) is a good chooice.

5.2 The Arsenic Candy
----------------------

Health of a normal gang member: 8 HP

The Arsenic Candy gang is stronger than the Apocalypse gang, they have better 
weapons can block and evade more of your attacks and have also more health.

Run with LT + X won`t work against these.

Using Kopfsmasher (grab gang member in air then Y multiple times) is a safe 
kill.

Remember that you can use the Flipper move (RB + X with full special-meter) 
to stun the girls.

The Dragon Tails gang is the strongest gang in the game, with the most health

Keep in mind that members of the Dragon Tails gang are able to dodge your 
counter attacks you do with Y, so simply use X instead.
The also can dodge the normal and special Flipper move (RB + X).

To quickly beat the first bunch of enemies during this tour, simply jump over 
the water and then press B, A, repeat - remember gang members can`t swim.

6.0 The boss fights
=============================================================================

Having problems fighting the bossses trough out the game? Here is where I 
will try to help.

6.1 The Lizard
---------------

Part one of the fight: Nothing special just press the buttons are shown on 
the 
screen and remember when standing on the assembly line to stay as far away 
from 
the barrel as you can, this will make the button mashing easier.

Part two of the fight: The Lizard has one attack that can`t be dodged so just 
double jump out of the way. 

To attack the Lizard use X, X, X, X, A, Y 
The special you should use is Bombenabwurf (RB + Y while in air).

Moves that shouldn`t be used are the ground special  RB + Y and X, X, Y and 
combos starting with Y.

6.2 The New Goblin
-------------------

Part one of the fight: just follow the on screen instruction. If B, X or Y 
appears you can press the button twice to ram your knee into Goblin jr.`s 
stomach.

Part two of the fight: You should fight the Goblin on the ground, wait till 
he trys to hit you with his sword, after the second sword blow you can 
counter with X, X, X, X, X after that directly press X, X, X, X, X again and 
again and again. Don`t charge a punch and don`t use special. If done 
correctly the Goblin won`t be able to get out of this endless combo and your 
combo counter will hit the mark of 100.

6.3 The Apocalypse boss fight
-----------------------------

You should have full special befor starting this fight!

When the fight starts you are surrounded by many gang members, to get easily 
rid of them, jump into the air, press B to bring one gang member/leader close 
to you and then use a charged Saltotritt (hold Y) to kick that enemy into the 
nearby water. Repeat until only the gang boss is left. 
Now leaf the pier you where fighting on into the direction of the 
parking-lot in front of it and move only a few steps to the left side where 
there are no obstacles around you. Make sure the the boss follows you by 
keeping him near you or by using Zugnetz (B) to get him into your direction 
(he will counter that move but by doing so he will also move forward). You 
should now stand in a free space but still near the water with the gang boss 
coming closer.
You can now simply use Netz-Rodeo (RB + B with full special) to throw the boss 
over the small railing into the water.
