    "The Strogg. Soulless fusions of decaying flesh, bone, and metal. Twisted and
    ruined by centuries of war. They search the galaxy for the sole item their
    existence requires. Harvesting, consuming, and destroying everything in their
    path... and now they have arrived here."

                              Thoughts on the Game (TG-1)
    ><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
    The game is alright. It is definitely different from previous Quake titles. For
    one thing, the graphics are not as good as Quake 4, but I think it would have
    been impossible to have those kind of graphics in such wide areas like the
    Volcano map. The gameplay is very fast paced, and with a good team can be very
    addicting. On the flipside, getting stuck with a bad team quickly makes you
    hate this game.

    Vehicle driving is a little wonky, but you are not required to drive vehicles
    (except the MCP), so you can fight on foot if you like. The has a pretty good
    multiplayer function, but single player is rather lacking. I had hoped for a
    more story based single player. Instead you get to play multiplayer with
    computer controlled bots. This game reminded a lot of Unreal Tournament 3
    because of the lack of a story based single player.

    If you enjoy multiplayer games a lot, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars can offer
    some pretty good fun, unless you are really into high end graphics. However,
    those wanted single player story fun will likely not like spending $60 on this
    game.

    Global Defense Force (GDF)
    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    The Global Defense Force (GDF) has eight vehicles and five classes with
    numerous weapons and tools for each. Below is a listing of each vehicle and
    class.

    ++++++++
    Vehicles
    ++++++++

    If you see the text Warning: Missile Lock, press the RS button to deploy a
    decoy, but don't be surprised if you get nailed with a second or third missile.

    Titan:

    The Titan is your basic tank. It looks very much like a M1A1. It is easy to
    steer and aim and fire. When driving you operate the vehicle and the main gun.
    You can also switch seats to the chain gun up top, but you are more exposed
    there. Good against most enemy vehicles.

    Armadillo:

    Basically a Humvee. It has a chiangun in the back, but is easily destroyed. If
    you use it, I would take it close to the action and go in on foot or against
    Anti-Personnel turrets. It also allows you to carry up to five people.

    Husky:

    An ATV that is actually pretty fast. Doesn't have any weapons, so don't drive
    it near an anti-vehicle turret or you will probably get smoked. It is very
    manuverable and will allow you to bypass anti-personnel turrets.

    Trojan APC:

    Armored Personel Carrier tha has a Rocket Turret on top. It also can carry 3
    passengers. Good for moving several people quickly to the next objective. I
    would not ride as a passenger into a hot zone, though because you cannot
    attack while sitting in the back. This vehicle is great for shooting down enemy
    air units, but other than that it doesn't do a whole lot of damage.

    Anansi:

    This jet-powered helicopter has two weapons you can use. Guided missiles
    which take a moment to lock on, and unguided rockets that work well in a
    strafing run on soldiers who are on foot.

    Bumblebee:

    A heavily armored air unit that allows the pilot to use a chaingun. Three other
    positions in the chopper allow passengers to be gunners as well, making this a
    relatively good platform (as long as the gunners are accurate).

    Mobile Command Post (MCP):

    This is an objective specific vehicle. It establishes a command post and
    launches a SSM (Strategic to Strike Missile), which opens up other parts of the
    mission. Once you deploy it, it cannont be destroyed.

    Platypus:

    The only boat in the game. It only carries two people, a driver and a gunner,
    but it is pretty fast so you can use it for hit-and-run attacks.

    +++++++
    Classes
    +++++++

    ~~~~~~~~
    Soldier:
    ~~~~~~~~
    "Agressive and guns-blazing. Uses heavy weapons and explosive charges."

    The Soldier is the grunt of the GDF. The soldier is designed to be the combat
    heavy unit. You have better health and weapon options than other classes. The
    soldier has a choice between the Assault Rifle, Shotgun, GPMG (General Purpose
    Machine Gun), and the Rocket Launcher (which has the ability to lock on to
    vehicles and deployables). The only objective that requires the Soldier is the
    plant explosive objective. You will want to use this class for that objective
    and to support engineers or covert-ops personnel while they complete their
    tasks.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Faster lock-on time for rocket launcher, faster sprint speed, and
             spawn with more ammo.
    Level 2: More initial ammo for heavy weapons, body armor, and an additional
             grenade.
    Level 3: Faster arming time for HE charge and health regeneration.

    ~~~~~~
    Medic:
    ~~~~~~
    "Supportive and selfless. Dispenses health and revives fallen teammates."

    There are no specific mission objectives that require the medic to complete.
    However, the medic is extremely important because it can drop medpacks and keep
    other units in the fight. It can also revive fallen commrades so they do not
    have to start at the spawning point. Medics can also call in supply crates,
    which allow players to replinish health and ammunition in the field. Finally,
    medics are responsible for taking out Strogg Spawn Hosts on the corpses on
    fallen GDF soldiers. This is important because limiting the number of spawn
    points effectively nullifies one of the Strogg's main advantages. The one
    negative to the class is that is has limited weapon options (Assault Rifle and
    Shotgun) and do not hold very much ammo. Do not pick this class if you plan on
    attacking a lot.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Medpacks give more health to allies, faster sprint speed, and extra
             ammo.
    Level 2: Allows medics to call multiple supply crates, body armor, and an
             extra grenade.
    Level 3: Revived allies recieve full health, health regeneration, dual pistols

    ~~~~~~~~~
    Engineer:
    ~~~~~~~~~
    "Defensive and strategic. Deploys defensive turrets, constructs and repairs,
    plants mines, disarms explosive charges."

    The engineer is truly a great defensive and support asset. The engineer is also
    required for several mission specific objectives such as deploying MCPs and
    constructing or repairing mission specific items. The engineer also can repair
    vehicles and deployables making them extremely valuable as a support unit. The
    engineer can also call in and control one of three deployables at a time. The
    engineer may drop a anti-vehicle, anti-personnel, or anti-artillery turret to
    defend a target. The engineer can also lay mines and can unlock a assault rifle
    with a grenade launcher attachment, making them very good at defense. Finally,
    the engineer is the only unit who can disarm a planted plasma charge.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Unlock an Assault Rifle/Grenade Launcher weapon combo, faster sprint
             speed, and extra ammo.
    Level 2: Faster repair speed, body armor, and extra grenade.
    Level 3: Faster construction and disarming rates, health regeneration, and
             dual pistols.

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Field Ops:
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    "Strategic and supportive. Deploys artillery and missile systems, "paints"
    enemy positions for attack, calls in air strikes."

    The field-ops unit is a supportive unit with no specific objectives requiring
    the use of it. The field-ops unit can also call in deployable turrets, however,
    the turrets are long range artillery. The field-ops can control one of the
    three artillery options at a time. The artillery options are regular artillery,
    rocket artillery, and hammer strikes. The field-ops can use its targeting tool
    to find targets across enemy lines and shell them, softening them up for
    attacking troops. Field-ops can also drop ammo packs to allied soldiers and use
    an airstrike marker to call in bombardments on Storgg positions.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Unlock a Scoped Assault Rifle, faster sprint speed, and extra ammo.
    Level 2: Ammo packs give more ammunition to allies, body armor, and extra
             grenade.
    Level 3: Faster airstrike speed, health regeneration, and dual pistols.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Covert-Ops:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Stealthy. Sniper. Hacks, uses remote viewing equipment, deploys radar and
    steals identities."

    The covert-ops can be used as a forward attacking unit, supportive unit, or
    stealth unit. The covert-ops unit also has the important ability to call in
    radar drops, which is essential to the GDF team. The covert-ops allows you to
    become a sniper with the sniper rifle or an attacking unit with the scoped
    assault rifle. Also the covert-ops is required for hacking objectives and can
    also disable deployables through hacking or EMP grenades. Covert-ops can also
    use their hacking tool on enemy corpses to disguise themselves as Strogg to
    infiltrate enemy territory. Finally, the covert-ops also has the Third Eye
    Camera, which is a bomb with a camera attached to it. This allows the covert-
    ops to cover planted explosive from a distance and kill any enemy technicians.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Unlocks the Silenced Machine Pistol, faster sprint speed, and extra
             ammo.
    Level 2: Increase in the range of radar stations, body armor, and extra
             grenade.
    Level 3: Do not show up on enemy radar and health regeneration.

    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
    Strogg Invansion Force
    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    The Strogg have five vehicles and five classes. Below is a complete listing of
    each vehicle and class.

    ++++++++
    Vehicles
    ++++++++

    If you see the text Warning: Missile Lock, press the RS button to deploy a
    decoy, but don't be surprised if you get nailed with a second or third missile.

    Hog:

    The Hog is basically a scout vehicle. It is much like the Armadillo except that
    you can deploy a Ram Shield by boosting, which can do massive damage to Titans,
    Armadillos, and deployables. However, it is very lightly armored and can easily
    blow up. It also has a Hyperblaster mounted on it.

    Icuras:

    This is a jetpack that can be worn by infantry. It has limited flight
    capabilities, but has unlimited Stroybombs. This makes it good against infantry
    and deployables.

    Desecrator:

    The Desecrator is a hover tank. This means it can go over water and land. It
    can also strafe. It has a main cannon for the driver and a hyperblaster for an
    accompanying gunner. Also, the Desecrator can enter into siege mode, which lets
    the main gun recharge faster, but reduces its mobility.

    Cyclops:

    The Cyclops is a big bipedal weapons platform. It can take the most damage of
    any of the units in the game. It has a heavy plasma cannon for its main weapon,
    but it also can use a Stomp attack while it is standing. The Cyclops can also
    enter siege mode for a faster recharge rate, but again you lose mobility.

    Tormentor:

    This is basically the Strogg version of the Anansi, however, the Tormentor
    cannot hover. It has a plasma cannon and guided missiles.

    +++++++
    Classes
    +++++++

    There is a major difference between GDF and Strogg infantry units. While GDF
    units have separate health and ammo stats, the Strogg have Stroyent. Stroyent
    can be transferred between the health and ammo stats. This means that Strogg
    units can sacrifice on stat to help another.

    ~~~~~~~~~
    Aggressor
    ~~~~~~~~~
    "Agressive and guns-blazing. Uses heavy weapons and explosive charges."

    The aggressor is basically like a GDF Soldier. It has more health and weapon
    options and is responsible for the destruction objectives. The aggressor plays
    pretty much the same way as a soldier, except for the ability to transfer
    Stroyent between health and ammo.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Faster lock-on time for Obliterator, faster sprint speed, and
             spawn with more Stroyent.
    Level 2: More initial ammo for heavy weapons, body armor, and an additional
             grenade.
    Level 3: Faster arming time for Plasma charge and Stroyent regeneration.

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Technician
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    "Supportive and selfless. Dispenses Stroyent and revives fallen teammates."

    The technician is the answer to the GDF medic. The technician dispenses
    Stroyent packs, which can used to replinish health and ammo. The technician
    also revives fallen allies, like the medic. The technician can also create
    spawn hosts on the corpses of dead GDF personnel. This allows the Strogg units
    to spawn close to the action. Do not use this unit if you plan on attacking
    because its weapons are not very good.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Cells give more Stroyent to allies, faster sprint speed, and extra
             Stroyent.
    Level 2: Body armor and an extra grenade.
    Level 3: Revived allies recieve full health, Stroyent regeneration, and
             adds charged shot to blaster.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Constructor
    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Defensive and strategic. Deploys defensive turrets, constructs and repairs,
    plants mines, disarms explosive charges."

    The constructor works exactly like a GDF engineer. The constructor is in charge
    of repairing vehicles and deployables. It also is required for any construction
    objectives. The constructor has three deployables at its disposal: the Anti-
    Personnel turret, the Anti-Vehicle turret, and the shield generator (Anti-
    Artillery). The constructor can control one deployable at a time. It also has
    the ability to lay mines and is the only unit who can disarm the HE charge.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Unlock an Lacerator/Plasma Launcher weapon combo, faster sprint
             speed, and extra Stroyent.
    Level 2: Unlock flying drone repair, body armor, and extra grenade.
    Level 3: Faster construction and disarming rates, Stroyent regeneration, and
             adds charged shot to blaster.

    ~~~~~~~~~
    Oppressor
    ~~~~~~~~~
    "Strategic and supportive. Deploys artillery and missile systems, "paints"
    enemy positions for attack, calls in orbital strikes."

    The oppressor functions almost esactly like the GDF field-ops unit. The
    oppressor is mainly a support unit. It can call in one of three long range
    artillery deployables: the Rail Howitzer, the Plasma Mortar, and the Dark
    Matter Cannon. The oppressor does not have the ability to resupply allies like
    the field-ops, however, it does have a unique ability that can make it useful
    on the frontlines. The oppressor can drop a tactical shield which will protect
    it and allied forces in it from GDF attack. The shield is not invulnerable, but
    it does allow the Strogg some time free from damage. The oppressor can also
    call in oribital strikes as opposed to the field-ops airstrikes.

    Class Specific Experience Reward:

    Level 1: Increased accuracy for Lacerator, faster sprint speed, and extra
             Stroyent.
    Level 2: Upgraded Tactical Shield, body armor, and extra grenade.
    Level 3: Faster support abilities, stroyent regeneration, and adds a charged
             shot to blaster.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Infiltrator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Stealthy. Sniper. Hacks, uses remote viewing equipment, deploys radar and
    steals identities."

    The infiltrator is the Strogg version of the GDF covert-ops unit. The
    infiltrator is responsible for deploying Psi Radar (Strogg's radar unit). This
    is extremely important to the success of any mission. The infiltrator is
    required for hacking and flying drone objectives, but can be used in the sniper
    role or the stealth role through use of stealing disguises off of dead GDF
    units. The infiltrator carries Flying Drones in place of the Third Eye Camera
    that the covert-ops uses. The flying drones are used for specific objectives
    and for scouting out enemy defensives. The flying drones can also be used to
    kill an enemy by detonating it near them.

                 Destroy the Stroyent Devices.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Deploy MCP at the outpost
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is the first mission for Africa and you start out by watching an MCP being
    dropped into your base. If you are an Engineer run and hop in it. You need to
    drive the MCP down the road (follow the green arrows) and park it in the green
    area to the right. It will be heavily defended, but if you let your teammates
    take out the deployables and vehicles you can run in before they have to time
    to reset a defensible position. If they have trouble, you can always park it
    and help the attack then return to it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hack the shield generator to launch the SSM
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the MCP is deployed it will try to launch an SSM, but it will be destroyed
    by the Strogg. You must be in the Covert-Ops class to hack the generators. If
    you move fast enough, you can get to the generator before the enemy sets up a
    defense. Hack the generator by holding the X button, while your teammates cover
    you. Use the generator itself for cover if you have too.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the Stroyent Devices
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the generator goes down, you have to move into a large warehouse and
    destory two Stroyent Devices. You must be a Soldier to plant HE charges on them
    and then defend them from the Strogg who want to disarm them. The first device
    is on a catwalk on the 2nd floor. After you plant the charge, I found that the
    Strogg tend to attack from further down the catwalk in a massed charge. Hunker
    down and fire through the doorway as they come out. Take out the closest ones
    first because you don't want them disabling the charges. Once it is down, move
    out to the second device and repeat the same process.

    Objectives: Prevent GDF from deploying the MCP at the outpost.

                Protect the Stroyent devices.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent GDF from deploying the MCP at the outpost
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is the easiest spot to stop the GDF. Use a constructor and build an Anti-
    Vehicle turret on one of the two approachs. Make sure another constructor
    builds one on the other approach. Get into a vehicle if you can and use it to
    attack the MCP as it approaches. Make sure another constructor deploys a shield
    generator to protect from artillery. As long as you can keep the turrets
    functional you should be able to prevent the MCP from making, or severely delay
    them.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the shield generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the GDF manages to get the MCP into position. You will have to fall back to
    the shield generator. If you are still a constuctor, mine the generator. Also,
    deploy anti-personnel turrets. Aggressors should use a hyperblaster to cut down
    the approaching GDF soldiers. Mines on the generator can really slow them down
    as long as you can keep re-mining. Also, a technician should try to create a
    host spawn on some of the dead GDF soldiers near the generator so they can
    defend more easily.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the Stroyent devices
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the take the shield generator, get ready to defended the two Stroyent
    devices. Constructors are really important because they are the only unit that
    can disarm the HE charges. I also drop mines near the devices to take out
    soldiers. Make sure that each device has a few people covering it, so the GDF
    do not get an easy kill on one of them. Also creating host-spawns near the
    devices is a great help too.

                Deploy MCP at the outpost.
                Plant a HE charge to Destroy the Nexus Tower Core.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hack the Slipgate controls
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You must be a covert-ops unit to complete this objective. Move forward and down
    toward the small village area. The slipgate is at the end of the road. Be
    careful as you travel through the buildings becuase enemies will set up sniper
    positions on the roof and kill you as you exit the buildings. Once you have
    established a foothold, move towards the slipgate control. Begin hacking them,
    and remember to use the controls as cover if you come under fire. Once you
    complete the hack, an MCP will be dropped at your starting position.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Drive MCP through the Slipgate
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This objective does not require a specific class, but I would go with engineer
    so you can deploy it when you get to the other side. Get into the MCP and drive
    it towards the slipgate. If you are lucky, the Strogg will not have any turrets
    set up on the road into the village. If they do not, floor it towards the
    slipgate. You can usually make it through before the MCP becomes disabled. Once
    through, repair the MCP if it needs it. Otherwise, you will have to get another
    vehicle (preferably a Titan) and clear out resistance before you can repair the
    MCP and move forward.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Deploy the MCP
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Follow the green arrows towards your objective. Let your allies catch up to you
    so they can cover your approach. Generally, there will be a defense in place,
    so you would ideally want an engineer walking behind you and repairing the MCP
    as it gets damaged. Let your allies clear out the turrets and move in before
    they can be reestablished. Drive the MCP into the green area to deploy the MCP.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Plant a HE charge to destory the Nexus Tower Core
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    See the big tower in the background? That is where we are headed next.
    Generally, the Strogg set up turrets near the entrance. Luckily, you have to be
    a soldier to complete this task, so make sure you have a rocket launcher. Take
    out any structures and move into the tower. You will probably encounter stiff
    resistance, but continue to push forward. Eventually, you will find the core
    room. I always jump off the ledge to the one below on the left. It is right
    next to your objective. Kill any Strogg in the vicinity and plant your charge.
    Fall back a safe distance and protect the charge from enemy technicians.
    Eventually it will detonate and you will have survived another mission.

                Prevent the GDF from planting a HE charge on the Nexus Tower Core.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prvent the GDF from hacking the Slipgate
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I suggest using an constructor and planting mines on the Slipgate controls.
    Also, deploy anti-personnel turrets that can cover the gate. If any troops
    manage to avoid them, take them out with your light arms. Most likely the GDF
    will hack these controls, but you can slow them down with mines.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the MCP from driving through the Slipgate
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    It is probably easier to defend against the MCP once it is through the gate,
    but you can put up an anti-vehicle turret near the gate to disable it. Once
    disabled, I try to put mines on it or the ground on the sides that cannot be
    seen by the turrets. You may wish to go through the gate while the MCP is
    slowed down and begin your defenses there.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the MCP from deploying at the outpost
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Make sure you do not put deployables in the territory surrounding the slipgate
    on the other side. You will lose them as soon as the MCP makes it through.
    Build them along the road that the MCP has to come down. You can also grab a
    Desecrator and use it in combination with the turret. This is pretty effective
    because you can repair any damage sustained if you are still a constructor.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from planting a HE charge on the Nexus Core Tower
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You can stay as a contructor if you like, and mine the core. You will also be
    able to disarm any HE charges that get planted. Be careful of GDF soldiers
    jumping down from above. You can also use aggressors with hyperblaster and
    cover the core from one of the several ramps near the core.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Repair generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You will need an engineer to complete this objective. Soldiers are nice for
    provide cover in the close-quarters areas of the bunkers. Anyway, you can go
    over the bridge or down into the water. I usually take the water route and try
    to run over any unsuspecting Strogg. Dismount and enter enter the bunker. Your
    goal is to repair the generator. Take out any Strogg in the room and plant some
    mines at the Strogg entrances to buy you some more time. Begin repairs and
    watch the doors for enemies. Remember to use the generator for cover.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destory the Vault door
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the generator is up, you will move to the next bunker area. I would switch
    to a soldier at this point because you need one to complete this objective, and
    there is not a class requirement for the third objective. Drive to the bunker
    and enter on foot. Make sure to clear out the Strogg and plant your explosives.
    Having several people plant helps, in case a Strogg technician gets through and
    defuses one of them. Anyway, watch the left entrance escpecially, for the
    Strogg. Stand back from the door so you do not get caught in the explosion.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Take the data disc to the dish
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the door is blown, grab the briefcase (data disc) inside. Now you have to
    exit the way you came in and proceed up the road to the dish area. If you have
    the disc make sure you have some allies with you to help cover you as you
    approach. Make sure you have a rocket launcher because the Strogg will put down
    several Anti-Personnel turrets and that is not good for you. If you do not have
    the disc, stay close to the carrier because if they go down you need to pick it
    up before the Strogg touch it. If they touch it, it is sent back to the Vault
    area. I prefer to take the back way into the dish area, but you can go with a
    frontal assault. Just pound away and eventually you will break the defense. Run
    into the dish building and transmit the data to end the mission.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from repairing the generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You can use the Constructor to mine the generator and deploy turrets. You can
    also use Aggressors to defend the generator with a hyperblaster from one of the
    corners. I prefer the constructor approach. You can also use the Infiltrator to
    snipe GDF units on foot.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent GDF from destroying the Vault door
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You may find it easier to prevent the GDF from destroying the Vault door. I
    usually mine the door and when I die come back as an Aggessor. This way I can
    use the hyperblaster to shoot down the hallway and kill the GDF units. You may
    wish to keep the constructor, though, especially if they are getting to the
    door. You will want to be able to disarm the HE charges.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent GDF from taking the data disc to the dish
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the door gets breached, the GDF have to take the disc up to the dish area
    and transmit the data. Pretty much any class is good here. Constructors can
    deploy anti-personnel turrets to kill the carrier. Aggressors can use the
    hyperblaster or obliterator to keep them at bay. Oppresors can use orbital
    strikes to block the passage temporarily. They can also deploy shields to
    protect them and allies as they shoot down the hill. Make sure to touch the
    data disc once it is dropped to send it back to the vault room. Also, do not
    forget the back route either.

                Destroy the Contaimination Device.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Construct the bridge
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You will need an engineer for this. Run down the run and capture the spawn area
    near the bridgehead. The Strogg will most likely come at you from both sides,
    so hunker down while you build. If you are protecting the engineers, sweep the
    right then leftside of the road. Also, be on the lookout for snipers across the
    bridge and in the cliffs. You may also want to deploy anti-artillery here.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Deploy the MCP at the central outpost
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the bridge is built, an MCP will be dropped by it. Grab and drive it
    through the tunnel, following the green arrows. If you are lucky, the Strogg
    have not had a chance to drop many deployables. If that is the case, just floor
    it and get the deploy area. Otherwise, let your teammates clear out resistance.
    You can also go with a covert-ops man to EMP any turrets to allow an easier
    road for the MCP.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hack the shield generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Now you will need a covert-ops guy. If you are lucky, there will be Strogg
    bodies nearby. Steal a disguise and head across the other bridge or go into the
    water. I chose the water path and came up behind the Strogg. There is a spawn
    point to the left of the bridge once you cross it as well. Capture it if you
    don't want to run as far. Anyway, the building is straight ahead from the
    bridge. As usual, clear out the Strogg and begin hacking. Use the generator for
    cover.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the Contamination Device
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    After the shield generator goes down. The SSM will be launched and will take
    out the end of the building that holds the contamination device. You will need
    a soldier for this part of the mission. Run up the ramp made of the fallen
    debris and head towards the objective. You will have to jump down, but you can
    usually surprise the Strogg if they are defending against allies who are on the
    lower level. Anyway, take them out and hop down. Plant the charge and cover the
    far lower entrance (the one under the way you came). You will be able to kill
    them as they enter the hallway, but be sure to check the other direction to
    ensure that one did not sneak around.

                Protect the Contamination Device.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from constructing the bridge
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Your best bet at slowing down or preventing the construction is to become an
    infiltrator and use a rail gun to snipe the area. Just shoot any Engineers that
    approach the build area. You can ignore other GDF units unless they begin
    attacking you. You can also be an Aggressor and rush one of the flanks. Also,
    you can use long range artillery to bombard the build area.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from deploying the MCP at the central outpost
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the GDF builds the bridge, they will have an MCP dropped off. They will have
    to drive the MCP across the newly built bridge and through a tunnel. The tunnel
    can act as a choke point for you. If you are a constructor, you should build
    anti-vehicle turrets or if they are built a shield generator to protect them.
    Be sure to keep the turrets in good repair and you can stop the MCP dead in its
    tracks.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from hacking the shield generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the MCP gets deployed, you are going to have to fall back and protect the
    shield generator. There is a second bridge that the GDF vehicles come across.
    You can deploy anti-vehicle turrets here or anti-personnel turrets near the
    generator. You can also mine the generator or you can go to an Aggressor and
    use a Hyperblaster to take out covert-ops units.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from destroying the Contamination Device
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the shield generator gets overrun, then you need fall back to the building
    across the road. There are several routes to the device. The easiest to get to
    from the generator is through the blown open side of the building. The enemies
    will be coming from the second floor and will drop down. The GDF can also come
    from the bottom. I would choose a spot across from the generator so you are not
    immediately detected by GDF and can take out any engineers.

                Take the Strogg DataBrian to the Telcom Building.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the barricade with a HE charge
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Youa re going to need a soldier for this one. Approach the barricade from the
    front. Be careful Strogg will usually snipe from the windows on either side and
    come around the sides of the barricade to attack you while you plant. I came
    along the side of the concrete slabs to the left of the barricade and surprised
    a few Strogg from behind. Then I planted and backed up to protect my charge.
    A covert-ops guys is good here too because you can snipe any enemy technicians,
    as they try to disarm the charge, from quite a distance away.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Deploy the MCP to capture the outpost and territory
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    After the barricade is destroyed, an MCP is dropped. Grab it and take it
    through what is left of the barricade. You can follow the green arrows to the
    path or there is a small shortcut you can take, but can result in the MCP
    being reset if it gets disabled while off the marked path. If there are no
    anti-vehicle turrets on it, I would suggest the shortcut to get their quicker.
    Remember to let teammates provide cover and take out turrets.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hack the shield generator to launch the SSM
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Follow the main road around to the next objective, grabbing the spawn point on
    the way. You will need a covert-ops unit for this and I would suggest using a
    Titan to get in close before you go in for the hack. The generator is outside,
    so you will be pretty exposed. Go behind it and watch out for mines. Begin the
    hacking process while you take out any approaching Strogg.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Take the Strogg DataBrain to the Telcom Building
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the shield is hacked, the SSM will give you access to the building with
    the DataBrain in it. It is across the street and down a few buildings. Run to
    the backside and head up the stairs. Grab the DataBrain and head back out. You
    need to cross the courtyard to get to the Telcom Building across the way. It
    can very dangerous if the Strogg set up a crossfire defense. Try to use what
    little cover there is and move with allies so if you go down they can pick up
    the DataBrain and keep moving. Eventually, you should make it across and
    transmit the data.

    Prevent the GDF from destroying the barricade
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You have several options here. You can be an Aggessor and take out enemies as
    they reach the barricade. You can be an Infiltrator and snipe them as they
    approach. You can be an Oppressor and use a Plasma Mortar or Rail Howitzer to
    shell the area in front of the barricade. You can also be a constructor and
    mine the area in front of the barricade. You can drastically slow down the GDF
    assault in this area.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from deploying the MCP
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the GDF takes out the barricade, they will have to take an MCP through it to
    the next area. I would suggest using a constructor to set up anti-vehicle
    turrets near the road to stop the MCP. Stay close to them and keep them
    repaired.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the shield generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the MCP gets deployed, the GDF will have to hack your shield generator. It
    is in an exposed area, and I would suggest mines and anti-personnel turrets.
    Also you can use an Aggressor to take out approaching enemies as well. Unless
    your whole team defends extremely well, this point is hard to hold because of
    the shape of the generator.
    Prevent the GDF from getting the DataBrain to the Telcom building
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the GDF does take down the shield, run to the telcom building and begin
    setting up anti-personnel turrets and mines. If you are another class, still
    head to the Telcom building and set up a defense. The GDF will grab the
    DataBrain and it is not a long run to the Telcom building, however, it is
    across an exposed area and you can easily cut down the GDF. Make sure to touch
    the DataBrain to send it back to its original spawn.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The easiest way to get into the building housing the Jamming Generator is to
    take an Icuras and land on top of it and drop down. If the GDF has anti-vehicle
    turrets, this will be next to impossible. Most likely, you will need the
    Cyclops or Desecrator to knock out the turret. You can also use an aggressor
    with an Obliterator to take out the turrets. Once inside, you will need to put
    a charge on the generator and take it out.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Construct the Mining Laser
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This can be a tough fight because you are in an open area, against a lot of
    vehicles. Try to spread out away from your allies so you draw the defense thin.
    This will allow you to penetrate more quickly. You will need a constructor for
    this objective, so you might consider changing to one. You can also support
    other constructors in your squad with oppressors or aggressors.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the stolen slipgate
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You have to be an aggressor on this one to complete it or you can support the
    aggressor with oppressors. If you are an aggressor, you will want to blow the
    service door open so you can bypass the machine gun nests. If you are an
    oppressor, you will want to deploy your shields and drop grenades onto the
    heads of the GDF below. After that, drop down and plant the chrage.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Don't let the Strogg destroy the Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You really want to be an engineer on this level. Depending on how many
    engineers there are, you will want to deploy either an anti-vehicle or anti-
    personnel turret to defend the generator. I also like to mine the doorways on
    the ground level to kill multiple Strogg as they rush the building. Make sure
    you stay stocked on ammo and you can defend this area fairly easily.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Stop the Strogg from constructing the Mining Laser
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If you let the Jamming Generator get taken out, then you have to stop the
    Strogg from building the laser. You are going to be in kind of an open area. I
    like the field-ops unit here because you can bombard the Strogg as they
    approach. Make sure you keep soldiers supplied with rockets and keep a look out
    on all sides. You can also keep the engineer and deploy turrets as well.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the stolen slipgate
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the Mining Laser is built, the Strogg will come looking for their stolen
    SlipGate. I would use an engineer for this part and construct the machine gun
    nest. This allows you to cover one path, forcing the Strogg to go another way.
    Also, you will be able to difuse any charges that the Strogg manage to plant.
    If there are already engineers, you will want to be a soldier and use the GPMG
    against the Strogg.

    Destroy the GDF Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Aggressors are the frontline units you will want to complete this objective. If
    you plan on supporting, be a technician and heal the attacking units or be an
    oppressor and shell the generator area to remove turrets. Capture the spawn
    point close to the generator area and press the attack. Watch out for GDF
    turrets and mines on the generator. I used an Icuras to drop near it, and then
    planted. I died, but my allies kept away GDF engineers, so the generator blew
    up.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Take the Energy Cells to the Crashed Ship
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This is a tough battle. There are three energy cells that are spread out. Grab
    one and proceed down towards the ship. If you are fast enough, you might be
    able to squeeze in and get a cell into the ship before the GDF defenses come
    online. You will have to walk down a long slope and be totally exposed to
    turret, sniper, and rocket fire. I continued with using an aggressor, and
    mainly supported the cell carriers. If you can knock out the turrets, swarm in
    on foot. If you have a cell, head straight for the ship and plant the cell.
    Otherwise, stop near the concrete blocks, use them for cover, and keep the GDF
    at bay long enough to get the cells into the ship.
    Don't let the Strogg destroy the GDF Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Use either a soldier or an engineer. If you are a soldier, get a GPMG and go to
    town on the approaching Strogg. Engineers should definitely mine the generator
    and build anti-vehicle turrets. Watch out for Strogg flying the Icuras Jetpacks
    into the base. A field-ops unit can also set up a rocket artillery piece and
    shell the approach.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the Strogg from delivering the Energy Cells
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the Strogg manage to knockout the generator, you will be forced to fight it
    out in front of the downed ship. You have a ton of options here. Soldiers are
    good with a GPMG or rocket launcher. They can really keep the Strogg pushed
    back. Engineers can mine the ship entrance and cell area. Turrets are also very
    useful because it is such a wide open space. Covert-ops can snipe from behind
    the ship and will have ample targets. Field-ops can shell the approach to slow
    or stop any vehicles or infantry. Whatever you pick, you will want to find some
    cover so you can pick off the Strogg units as they come down the gorge.

    Destroy the Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If you are quick enough you can actually make this a very easy objective. Get a
    Hog, and boost all the way to the generator. Run over anyone who gets out in
    the road. Jump out of the vehicle when you get near the generator and plant a
    charge on it. If you die or they have a defense set up already, then you have
    more of a challenge. Use an aggressor and press the attack until you can plant,
    then back away and cover the charge from a distance. You can also use an
    Oppressor and shell the generator area, so your allies have an easier time.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Construct the Mining Laser
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If you want to build the laser, then you will need to be an Constructor. I
    stayed with a soldier and provided cover. If you are an engineer, make sure
    that you stay on the far side of the laser so you can hide from any turrets
    that get dropped near it. Soldiers should disable turrets and wipe out any GDF
    units in the vicinity. Oppressors can shell the area north of the laser to
    clear out deployables and any infantry in the open.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the Bioscanner
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    After the laser becomes operational, it will burn a hole into the biodome. Head
    towards it. I would stay with a soldier or oppressor. Fight your way to the
    back of the area and head down into the complex. Capture the spawn point to
    drastically cut down your travel time. Basically, you are going to fight your
    way down several hallways. A hyperblaster is great in combination with the
    oppressors tactical shield. Once you make it to the room with the bioscanner,
    you will want to use your nades. Plant the charge and defend. If the room gets
    swarmed throw your nades near your plant to take out any engineers.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I would start with a soldier or engineer. Get to the generator fast and take up
    defensive positions. Engineers should deploy turrets and mines. Soldiers should
    use GPMGs to lay down suppressing fire. Field-ops can also shell the approach
    to the generator to take out any apporaching vehicles or infantry. More than
    likely, this position will be overrun.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the Strogg from constructing the Mining Laser
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Setup turrets around the laser to prevent constructors from getting to the
    laser. Putting mines on the laser will slow down the construction effort as
    well. If you are a soldier, stay with the GPMG and lay down suppressing fire on
    enemies that apporach the laser. Again, field-ops can shell the laser area to
    get any enemies who might be using it for cover.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the Bioscanner
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The bioscanner is a little easier to defend. A soldier with a GPMG or an
    engineer with a grenade launcher can do ome serious damage. Make sure to mine
    the hallways and the bioscanner. If you get pushed back into the bioscanner
    room, use grenades to stymie the attack until you get reinforced. The grenade
    launcher is really valuable here, as are the mines. If all else fails, and the
    Strogg invade the Bioscanner room throw your nades near the entrance and the
    Bioscanner. This can really slow the attack down.
    Destroy the Jamming Generator
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You will not have any vehicles in this mission, so I would suggest using a
    Hyperblaster wielding Aggessor. You can also use an Oppressor for long-range
    artillery support. The third option is an Infiltrator, so you can disable GDF
    turrets. I went with an Aggessor and attacked the turrets when they got
    disabled. This can be a tough fight, so just keep pressing the attack. If you
    don't have any infiltrators or oppressors taking care of the turrets, then you
    might want to switch to one of those classes. Be wary of mines on the generator
    as well.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Construct the Mining Laser
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Another hard fought objective. This will be very much like the previous
    objective. You will need to disable any turrets to get to the laser. If you are
    a constuctor, it make take you several tries to get the laser operational
    becuase the area will be swarming in GDF units. Aggressors are really good for
    covering the constuctors. Also, an oppressor can shell the area just south of
    the laser to kill approaching GDF.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    No you can enter the underground area. There is a capturable spawn point to the
    Aggressors are key here. You will have a hard fight because of the tight
    quarters. Technicians are extremely useful for reviving fallen allies and
    making host spawn points. Make sure to rush the salvage area with numerous
    allies because once you plant, you will have to hold the area for a few a
    while.
    The Strogg have no vehicles on this map, so if you are an engineer, deploy
    anti-personnel and anti-artillery turrets. Also make sure to mine the generator
    and the surrounding ground. Soldiers should go with GPMGs to take out Aggessors
    and Infiltrators. Be careful of the EMP grenades that can temporarily knock out
    the turrets. This area is a good place to slow down the Strogg advance, if not
    stop it.
    If the Strogg manage to get the generator offline, then you will have to fall
    strategy that you used for the generator.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the Strogg salvage
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the laser gets completed, the next area can be easier to defend. The Strogg
    have a couple of entry points, but engineers armed with a grenade launcher and
    mines can really bottleneck the Strogg here. Mine the salvage and possibly the
    lower entrance. Make sure to watch the lower entrance for Strogg that enter
    after the mine is taken out. Soldiers should definitely use a GPMG and cover
    the upper entrance and take out any soldiers who attempt to plant. Engineers
    should be ready to disarm any charges that do make it onto the salvage.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The MCP ride can be hard, especially if they have set up multiple anti-vehicle
    turrets along the route. Just drive it as far as you can and repair when you
    need too. Field-ops should shell the area if they can, and covert-ops should
    disable any turrets they can get too. Soldiers should target the anti-vehicle
    turrets and provide cover to engineers.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The shield generator can be very hard to get too. You have to go uphill and
    contend against Strogg vehicles and turrets. Soldiers will be needed to take
    out vehicles and field-ops can shell the approach and area around the generator
    to make it easier for the covert-ops. There is a small slope further down from
    the turnoff to the generator that you can take a Husky over to come at the
    generator from behind. Disable any radar you find and try to take out some

    than likely the bridge will get built.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from deploying the MCP at the central outpost
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Slowing the MCP down is easier. Set up multiple anti-vehicle turrets and use

    to kill any GDF engineers that might happen to be repairing the MCP while it
    is disabled.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The shield generator can be very easy to defend. Bring heavy vehicles up to

    infiltrators are good for taking out infantry as the come up the road.
    Oppressors can also shell the small road and really slow down the GDF because
    it is such a small road. Make sure to watch the back approach too. If you

    Construct the EMP disruptor
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This can be a tough fight if the Strogg blows up your vehicles. You have
    several options here. Engineers will be needed to build the Disruptor, but you
    need to clear out the turrets and vehicles around the area first. Soldiers are
    really good for this level. You can blow up the barricade that leads into the
    area to allow your vehicles in to deal with anti-personnel turrets. Covert-ops
    should work on disabling vehicles and turrets with grenades and hacks. Field-
    ops should pound the base too. It may take you a while, but you can take over
    the base.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the sewer grates
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    There are two sewer grates, but you only need to take out one of them. This
    battle can get fierce. Lob grenades into the approaches to slow down the Strogg
    and use mines (if you are an engineer) on them too. There is an optional route
    you can open up now that leads to the next objective. It will make it easier to
    accomplish if you blow it open as well. Anyway, soldiers are the order of the
    day. Make sure you cover people who are planting and keep the enemy technicians
    away from armed explosives.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Hack the sewer controls
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Once the grate is down, you will need a covert-ops man to hack the controls. I
    would suggest stealing a disguise and hiding near the controls or using the
    alternate path you have opened up. You can also wait for soldiers to clear out
    Anti-personnel turrets are really good here because you can plant them so close
    to the objective. You can also use the Cyclops to take out approaching GDF
    vehicles. Aggressors with hyperblasters are good for close up combat and
    constructors are needed for turrets and mines. If you can keep the GDF vehicles
    out of the fight for a while, you can really slow down the GDF offensive.
    Oppressors can also shell the immediate area to take out approaching infantry
    and vehicles.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the sewer grates
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The sewer grates are harder to defend because there are two of them, but
    placing mines on them will slow down the GDF some. Also, Aggressors are going
    to be really important in the defense of the two rooms. Be on the look out for
    soldiers trying to blow open the alternate route. If they get it open, it makes
    the next objective harder. Oppressors tactical shields are very helpful for the
    defense of the grates, as are Aggressors grenades. Aggressors will probably be
    the best unit for the defense of this area.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the GDF from hacking the sewer controls
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Fall back to the small room with controls in it. Make sure you have some
    Hack the security controls
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You might want to start out as a constuctor and build an anti-artillery turret
    on the beach to protect you and your allies from GDF artillery. You can also
    be an infilitrator and snipe GDF units along the top of the ridge. You can also
    teleport into some vents to gain entry to the control room. Soldiers are very
    useful to in taking out forward GDF units and blowing up the bunker door.
    Once you gain entry, an infiltrator needs to hack the security controls.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Destroy the transformer
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The transformer can be tough to take out if the GDF are organized. Soldiers are
    good for not only bombing the transformer, but taking out any turrets on the
    surface and killing any troops that advance to kill you. If you can get above
    the room with the transformer, an oppressor's shield is very useful while you
    clear out the room. Once it is clear, plant the bomb and continue to sweep the
    room. Constructors can also mine the entrances against the GDF, which will buy
    you extra time.

    should engage the GDF to keep your infiltrators from getting attacked.

    Objectives: Prevent the Strogg from hacking the security controls.
                Protect the transformer.
                Protect the geothermal energy core.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Prevent the Strogg from hacking the security controls
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The Strogg have to come up the beach to get at the security controls. Field-ops
    are really good because they can shell the capturable spawn area and take out
    any psi radars and turrets. Engineers can drop anti-personnel turrets on the
    edge of the beach and they can wreak havoc on the advancing Strogg. Covert-ops
    are good for sniping the beach as well. Field-ops can also shell the entrance
    area to the security controls.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the transformer
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The transformer room is easier to defend from up above than it is in the actual
    room itself. I like mining the stairwell to kill them and setting up an anti-
    personnel to get them as they exit the trenches. You can als go with a soldier
    and use a GPMG on them. Keep them pinned down because the next objective is
    pretty tough to defend.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Protect the geothermal energy core
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    This part is very difficult becuase the Strogg Infiltrators are going to fly
    drones through the ventilation shafts and detonate them on the core. You are
    going to want to attack the Strogg and keep them far enough away, that they
    cannot reach the core before they detonate. Use soldiers with GPMGs to take
    out Infiltrators and just try to keep them from getting close.
