 --------Offline Achievements Guide---------
============================================
 - Introduction
============================================

Hi, first of all thanks for looking at my guide.
I've written this after getting each of the achievements
myself, and using various methods to sort out and find
what I found to be the most effective - I've taken those
most effective methods and put them in this guide.

============================================
 - A note on Power-Ups and Power-Downs
============================================
For some of the achievements you'll be using custom
Power-Up sets - to customise your set you do the following:

 - On the Power-Up Settings screen press the 'X' button, the
box with the Power-Up in it will now become highlighted
(rather than the settings box).

 - The Power-Ups with ticks in the box next to them are
selected for use in the set, the ones without the tick aren't
going to be used.

You won't use Power-Downs at any point through my guide, so
you don't need to worry about them being on.

============================================
 - The achievements
============================================

If you want to find any of the achievements fast, just
search (CTRL+F) the Search Code next to the name on
this list. The following names and requirements are
exactly what the achievement list in game reads.

|| SEARCH CODE

|| A1
|| The Name's Bomb, Dangerous Bomb
|| Take out 3 CPU players at once in a Local game.

The way to get this achievement is incredibly easy, all you
need do is get yourself a Full Fire and a Dangerous Bomb and
drop the bomb. Because there are 8 players (including you) it's
more than likely 3 will get hit. If not, just try again by
picking up items thanks to Scavenger. A Dangerous Bomb
combined with a FUll Fire causes an explosion in a 10x10 box
shape on the map - this is a little less than a third of the
play area. Place one of these babies in the right place and
you can deal some serious damage.

============================================
 - Strategy
============================================

Be warned that this achievement can be a little tricky to
get for newer players, but it's still pretty damn easy,
regardless.

At the start of the round, try and get as many Power-Ups as
you can without getting killed. If you do get killed, don't
worry too much, because you can go and pick up any dropped
Power-Ups thanks to Scavenger (but you should be careful,
because the CPU's can pick them up too).

First you want to get Dangerous Bomb and FUll Fire (though
don't forget to pick up as many of the other Power-Ups as
they appear). Don't worry too much with getting them right
away, just concentrate on removing soft blocks and taking
Power-Ups when available.

The more Bomb-Ups you get, the more bombs you get, so pick up
as many as you can because more bombs become extremely useful.

The Dangerous Bomb combined with a Full Fire Power-Up makes
you a one Bomberman killing machine because the Dangerous Bomb
makes the explosion go off making a 10x10 square of firey
doom. This, also, paints the tiles, so it's got 2 uses;
killing and painting tiles.

Your main strategy should be to run around the map, almost
randomly, putting bombs down (preferably in lines to make it
easier to hide from the blast) and then avoiding the ensuing
blast. Always make sure that once you run out of bombs
temporarily, you stop trying to put them down until the rest
have detonated (ignoring this advice could lead to suicide).

But always keep in mind that Full Fire and Dangerous Bomb are
your number one priorities, because they paint so many tiles,
and they kill enemies (unpainting their painted tiles)

You should concentrate mainly on getting 130 tiles painted
(you can keep track of the number of tiles painted with the
indicator at the top of the screen, if you can't see it press
the Left Bumper) and it should pop up - it also houses the
time remaining. You should concentrate more on killing your
opponents at the beggining of the game, so that they don't
get many painted blocks, and as the game gets closer to an
end (1 minute remaining) you should concentrate on keeping and
gaining all possible tiles.

 - Strategy
============================================

All you need to do for this is win a game, it's fairly simple,
just capture tiles (the Fire-Up and Bomb-Up upgrades are
useful) and kill opponents as you go along. Because the CPU is
on Easy difficulty settings, then they shouldn't be too much
trouble, and because there's only 2 it gets even easier.

Just concentrate on capturing tiles - Power-Ups that help the
most are Fire-Up, Bomb-Up and Speed-Up because it helps you
cover more tiles in less time. Just make sure you don't die
and lose your tiles, because you have to regain your Power-Ups
as well as capture the tiles again.

For this achievement you need to be killed, so you get in a
Super Revenge cart. For those who haven't used them before,
or if you just want a recap, here are the controls:

 - Left/Right/Up/Down - Movement, directions depending on which
wall you're on.
 - Tap A Button - Throw a bomb (Lands 3 spaces away)
 - Hold and Release A Button - Throw a bomb (Lands 5 spaces
away)

As soon as the game begins just blow yourself up, then go to
the nearest opponent to you. It should be easy enough to
launch a bomb or two and kill the CPU player you're aiming
for, once you kill that guy, you'll take his space - at which
point it's fairly easy to just kill, or let the other players
kill, the enemy.

Your best bet for getting this achievement is doing it while
completing the other achievements on this guide, and while
doing EXTREME MAKEOVER! If you've already done the other
achievements, it's simply a case of winning a few games, which
I'm sure you're capable off if you have those achievements.

Naturally, it's easier to do the achievement if you play on
the Classic map with Default settings for everything else,
however you can spice it up by playing different game modes
and maps and playing with the settings. Most importantly,
though, remember to always have at least 3 CPU players in the
game, any less and you won't get it.

There isn't really any particular setting's I'd suggest
for getting this achievement.

============================================
 - Strategy
============================================

The secret to getting it is that you start a 2 minute (or
more) long game on any single player game mode, and when a
minute has passed from the start of the game, the costume ball
appears - it looks like a revolving crystal and it randomly
spawns on the map. The only advice for this is that you need
to clear as many soft blocks as possible, because if there's
too many it doesn't appear. You don't need to win, or even
finish the match for you to keep the costume piece, so you
could just play until you get one, quit, and start over.

Eventually you will get the achievement (and the 60 costume
pieces that you unlock) by playing games, it just might take
a while. Like Exterminator, you can spice it up how you like
by messing around with the settings and playing on different
game modes - just always remember that you need to have the
time for at least 2 minutes and have at least 3 CPU's
otherwise the crystal won't appear.

 - Special Thanks
============================================
I'd like to firstly thanks Backbone Vancouver for making this
excellent little gem for Xbox Live Arcade. I'd also like to
thank Hudson Entertainment Inc. for supporting the Bomberman
franchise and helping get this game out there. Microsoft also
deserves an honourable mention for releasing the game on Xbox
Live Arcade.

More thanks go to my friends Will and Ash who kept me
entertained while I wrote this (it was boring at points).

One last thanks goes to you for reading this guide, my efforts
weren't wasted.
