Can you use the mesmetron and the collar to make raiders and such your follower?

I was wondering if after you're done with strictly business if you could use the collar to enslave people as kinda ''bodyguards''.If so do you have to kill everyone in Paradise falls first/Or what needs to be done?Any help is appreciated.

That particular combination of equipment will allow you to make some serious caps. First you mez a raider, then while its dazed, take all of their equipment. After this, you send them to Paradise Falls.

Travel to Paradise Falls and collect your caps.

But to answer your question: No, they will not become your follower.

One Raider esq follower to consider is the guy in Megaton though if your interested in a Bad Karma Follower.

Sucessfully removing the collar will only cause the game to freeze.

No, the mesmetron only stuns someone for a short while, after which they will wake up (presumably after you put the collar on them) and make a beeline for Paradise Falls.
