Brotherhood Outcasts population?

Is there a set number of Brotherhood outcasts, or do they randomly appear in the wasteland and have an unlimited number?

There is no set number of "generic" enemies in the game, because they respawn, etc. If any of them have a name beyond "Brotherhood Outcast", then they are (obviously) unique and won't be around again.

It cant be set accordingly like you cant give straight number liek 24

its random due to the respawning feature in fallout

allthough if you kill one of them they drop some pretty nifty stuff
