Acquiring the shotgun? question(might have missed getting it)

I think I missed getting the shotgun in the peru level and now I just got the scion piece and I'm running away from idk the boss or something, is there any way for me to still get the shotgun?

No, it's too late to get the shotgun now. If you don't have an earlier save restarting's the only way.

Lara has another chance at a shotgun, but it's much later.

I never found the shotgun to be that useful, to be honest. The Adrenaline Dodge works just as well with a single shot from Lara's infinite ammo base pistols.
