Weapon Mods Damage?

So I always see weapons that has a +% damage as their mod, so does that actually increase the base damage of the weapon or is it already added to it? Lets say I have a 100 base damage to my weapon and it has a +50% damage mod. Does that mean that it really has 150 damage (100 + 50%)? Or does it mean that its 100 BECAUSE it has a 50% damage mod into it?

I'm sorry ajd029, but the above two were incapable of understanding what you asked (Tninja specifically). noobnowmaster, unless you can prove this with seen evidence, there's never been a weapon with that level of damage dealing.

To answer your question, the +50% to damage is pre-factored into the guns specs and then the damage is displayed for you. In other words, the damage displayed is the damage dealt. The exception to this is exactly what Tninja was getting at. If you have a gun and you have a class mod that increases the amount of damage you deal with that type of weapon, the damage on the gun read out does NOT increase, but the amount of damage dealt does.

Hope this helps.

If you have a mod that has 50%+ SMG damage, and my SMG does 100 damage, then 50% of the guns damage is added to it. If i have a mod that does 100%+ SMG damage and my SMG still does 100 damage, then the smg would do 200 damage. Get it now?

I actually find that the damage is because of the mod, (i have a modded alien cannon which does almost 32k damage and it has like 40900% damage or something like that)
