Atomic Bomb...? Really?

I just finished Braid, collected the Stars and saw the ending after catching the Princess.
She blows up, probably showing that the Princess is a metaphor for a bomb.

A bomb, that I get. But where does everybody get the whole nucleair idea from?

I just don't see it

Answer

The quote in the epilogue, "Now we are all sons of b-tches," was famously said by Kenneth Bainbridge immediately after the first test of an atomic bomb in 1945.
