How to get a top score ???

This has been driving me crazy ... i have played through entire lvls (e.g... rosewood all three sections) on purist with not being spotted no kills or subdues and have collected all evidence with no restarts from beginning to finish and yet still my score for the final section was half that of the top score ???????? and yes all challenges were completed prior...

Syringe kills - normally killing someone stealthily and hiding the body results in a 0 score, but it seems syringe kills and hiding the body generates a positive score.
