01.)                    INTRODUCTION                                 G0100
===============================================================================

Welcome to the 'Lego Batman' Achiements Guide for the Xbox 360. The game was
released in 2008 and many people seem to struggle with getting all achievements
even now. This document tries to end all these confusions and get you that
1000/1000 Gamerscore. NO ACHIEVEMENTS REQUIRE YOU TO GO ONLINE! Only one
achievement require a second controller and some others are easier if you have
control over the second character instead of the CPU.

Suggestions, comments or errors - email me about it. Enjoy!

===============================================================================
02.)                    BASICS                                       G0200
===============================================================================

Some achievements are automatically completed by simply playing the game.
Others require some abnormal tasks you normally would never do. Luckily most in
this game are easy. There are also often several tactics to an achievement. I
will list how I managed to get it and maybe add a note on alternatives.

===============================================================================
03.)                    ACHIEVEMENTS                                 G0300
===============================================================================

The first list are for achievements you will not need to do anything but play
the normal game.

Automatic:
``````````
0000001 00000011 (20)
Description: Build the giant LEGO Robot.
Note: Required to complete a level - thus automatic.
Crime Lord (25)
Description: Complete the third episode - Villain.
Crusader (25)
Description: Complete the third episode - Hero.
Hero (25)
Description: Complete the first episode - Hero.
Kill-a moth (20)
Description: Defeat Killer Moth.
Note: Required to complete a level - thus automatic.
Super Hero (25)
Description: Complete the second episode - Hero.
Super-villain (25)
Description: Complete the second episode - Villain.
Villain (25)
Description: Complete the first episode - Villain.
Others:
```````

1007 Mountain Drive (30)
Description: Complete Wayne Manor bonus level.
Note: One unlocks Wayne Manor by getting all red bricks on every Hero level.
      The level can be found in the trophy room. For a walkthrough on that
      level you could refer to CyricZ's guide.

Atomic Backbreaker (20)
Description: As Bane do the Backbreaker on Batman.
Note: Simply have Bane as your character and Batman as the second character.
      Pick up Batman with (B) and then press (B) again for the Backbreaker
      move.

Be a Hero (40)
Super Hero on every level.
Note: Get Super Hero status on all Hero levels. Easy enough with multipliers.
      You can get the status on Story or Freeplay and they both count for the
      same. If you do not have a multiplier early in the game just come back
      to the level later. You can also quit the level (SAVE!) once you have it.

Boy Wonder (10)
Description: Perform 20 backflips in a row with Robin.
Note: This one might look a little daunting but there is a trick to it. Pick
      Robin and find a level with a wall, or even better, a corner, I suggest
      Arctic World (Villains 2-5 Freeplay) as there is a corner just north of
      the start. Stand with the back against it and press Back and (A) to do a
      backflip. Now you do not want to stop there and press it again quickly,
      but not too quick. Once you make a follow-up backflip you will know the
      timing well and the rest should be just a matter of keeping your cool. Do
      not worry if you fail at first, it is not so straight-forward.

Cobblepot School of Driving (20)
Description: Smash all the cars in the robot level.
Note: The "robot level" is The Lure of the Night (Villains 3-4) and once you
      have build the giant robot you can just go nuts and destroy all the cars.
      Walk back and forth if you do not get this achievement, just be careful
      not to enter the tunnel at the end.

Down the rabbit hole (20)
Description: Use Mad Hatter's mind control to walk 5 enemies to their deaths.
Note: Best place to do this is On the Rocks (Villains 1-2) in Freeplay. Pick
      Mad Hatter and when you get to the area where you need to mind control
      the guy across the lava you can simply make him run into the lava and
      another clone of him comes in. Repeat. There may be a glitch of the guy
      not coming back into the screen for you to mind control. Simply restart
      the level if that happens.

Dressed to Impress (20)
Description: Get all suit upgrades.
Note: After you get all power bricks in the Hero levels you can purchase all
      the suit upgrades.

Eat floor... High fiber (15)
Description: Slam 20 goons into the floor with Batman.
Note: As Batman, simply grab a goon (B) and press (B) to slam him into the
      ground. Find some more victims. Easy to do on first level alone.

Gentlemen, start your screaming (15)
Description: Knock 5 people into the ground with a vehicle at once.
Note: Find a spot with many enemies and slam into the group. I suggest the
      Zoo's Company level (Heroes 2-4). Can be a little tricky to pull off.

Heads I win, tails you lose (20)
Description: Defeat 10 goons and 10 police officers with Two-Face in a level.
Note: Some people claim you do not have to do this in one level. It is also
      much easier to do with 2 controllers. Play a level on Freeplay where you
      have to face either goons or police officers, then ensure the second
      controller picks the opposite (i.e. if you have goons in the level then
      pick police officers with the controller). As Two-Face, defeat the
      cops and goons all around you. You might also have both goons and cops
      selectable as the second character which makes it easier to find victims.

Ice to see you (15)
Description: Freeze 50 enemies as Mr. Freeze.
Note: Just go crazy with Mr. Freeze. You can do it on your co-player too and
      I do not think they have to be different enemies, just freeze 50 times.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? (10)
Description: Glide for 9 seconds.
Note: This one can only be done on the Wayne Manor level. Build the computer on
      the left side and play the 2D platformer. Afterwards you will have
      unlocked that horrible ladder leading to the top of the manor. Jump off
      with Glidesuit Bats and aim for the other tower, then to the south of it
      and go around until you eventually land. That should be nine seconds.

      Fellow gamer Michael Horton notes that you can also do this on 'To the
      top of the tower' if you glide to your death from the top.

      Fellow gamer Vincent van Wageningen notes that you can also just hover
      on a vent for 9 seconds. He makes it sound rather easy so you can try
      that if you come across one.

It's the car, right? (30)
Description: Unlock all Vehicles (Hero/Villain).
Note: Just buy all vehicles as you complete levels.

Justice League (30)
Description: Unlock all the Hero characters.
Note: Buy all the hero characters as you unlock them from completing levels.
      This excludes Alfred I believe.

Kiss from a Rose (15)
Description: Eat 15 enemies with the Venus ride on .
Note: This is supposed to mean "on Green Fingers" (Villains 1-3). In the garden
      area you will have to build the Venus ride. Once that is done there will
      be 10 guards swarming in. Use the (B) button to eat the enemies. I heard
      you can go back to the previous area to respawn them but if you do ~10
      now and then ~10 in the Freeplay mode that should be more than enough.
      There is also a Venus ride in the Arkham Asylum bonus level which also
      counts (thanks to Vincent van Wageningen for confirming this).

League of Assassins (30)
Description: Unlock all the Villain characters.
Note: Buy all villain characters as you unlock them. This includes Hush I
      believe, but not Ra.

Make it snappy (20)
Description: Build the Croc ride on.
Note: This is supposed to mean "on A Daring Rescue" (Villains 2-4). You must
      build this anyway but I figured I might want to mention the mistake in
      the description.

Memorabilia (35)
Description: Collect all Memorabilia.
Note: This means all mini-kits. 30 levels and 10 per level.

Natural Habitat (10)
Description: Smash all street lights in Episode 1 Chapter 1.
Note: This one can be annoying. The street lights are easily recognized but
      sometimes the game does not want to give you this achievement. Just go
      through the level slowly and destroy everything in sight. They are always
      on street level. You can go back through the level almost when you are up
      to the boss so do not stray too far.

Nice Outfit! (20)
Description: Collect all suits.
Note: This is automatic from playing through the Hero campaign, just maybe not
      obvious when you read the description.

Oh, I got a live one here! (10)
Description: Shock 30 people with Joker's hand buzzer.
Note: Use (B) when controlling the Joker to use his hand buzzer. Just use on
      the other character enough times to get this.

Say hello to my little friends (15)
Description: Destroy 20 policemen with penguin bombers.
Note: There are so many policement in The Penguin story missions that you can
      get this there alone. Let the penguins rip when you see a bunch. Rocking
      the Docks (Villains 2-1) is already a good one to complete this.

Scare Tactics (10)
Description: Scare 5 enemies with Scarecrow.
Note: Just use (B) in front of an enemy. The only reason this is not too
      obvious because the game seems to prefer The Riddler over Scarecrow
      when picking Freeplay characters and you never get to play him that
      much.

Shot to the goon (20)
Description: Defeat 8 goons in 8 seconds.
Note: This is almost automatic if you use some bombs (either Batman or Penguin)
      and continue defeating enemies at the same time. Arkham Asylum is also
      a decent place to find many goons.

Sidekick (15)
Description: Complete a level in co-op.
Note: Make sure you have a 2nd controller and pressed START before the level
      begins. Joining half-way does not count, and dropping out before the end
      will also ruin it. This works on any level but if you want a small one
      then I suggest maybe Two-Face Chase (Heroes 1-3).

Smash Gordon (20)
Description: Defeat Commissioner Gordon with Harley Quinn's Hammer.
Note: Select Commissioner Gordon as the second character and Harley Quinn as
      yours. Press (B) next to him and she should be using her hammer.

Start of something wonderful (15)
Description: Shock the Joker with the Joker.
Note: Easiest way is to select the Joker as both characters and shock each
      other. I think it also works on the other Joker model if you happen to
      find him walking around in Arkham Asylum.

Super Builder (20)
Description: Build 50 LEGO build-its.
Note: This is automatic if you plan on playing the game more than 2 hours. Just
      keep building LEGO things, they are literally everywhere.

Thanks a million (30)
Description: Complete Arkham Bonus level.
Note: One unlocks Arkham Asylum by getting all red bricks on every Villain
      level. The level can be found going up the ladder in the trophy room. For
      a walkthrough on that level you could refer to CyricZ's guide.

The city is safe... for now (50)
Description: 100% game completion.
Note: Complete all mini-kits, super-villain/hero status, all suit upgrades and
      extras power bricks as well as vehicles. You do not need to purchase all
      the characters, but maybe all but Ra. The data also does not count for
      100% so save your 4m studs on the last one until later.

The Destroyer of Worlds (15)
Description: Destroy 12 objects at once with Bat Bombs.
Note: It is almost impossible to achieve this without the multi-bomb upgrade.
      Once you get said suit upgrade, just place some around an object filled
      area (gardens do well, many trees etc) and hold (B) to explode them all
      at once.

      Fellow gamer Vincent van Wageningen points out that the first level
      (Heroes) makes for a good spot. There are several TV screens left of the
      boss (the red brick is hiding there) and placing three bombs will be
      enough objects for the achievement.

The Most Dangerous Man on Earth (20)
Description: Defeat Joker, Two-Face, Riddler and Catwoman as Batman.
Note: The most confusing achievment for some people. This MUST be done in Story
      mode and CANNOT be done in Freeplay. When you play these levels (Heroes
      1-5, 2-1 and 3-5) you must only defeat the villains with Batman, not with
      Robin. I think you may also want to ensure that Robin never ever hits
      them just in case. For the Joker you need to just go near him when he
      does the hand buzzer move, you do not need to attempt to hit him. It is
      easier to get this done with 2 players as the CPU might just screw you
      over with his attack attempts. Or just plug in another controller and let
      Robin chill around.

The Richest Man in Gotham (40)
Description: Max out the stud counter.
Note: The max is 4 billion. This is actually really easy with the multipliers.
      Try getting the 2x earlier enough to then move on to 4x quickly too. Once
      you have those two it is really easy to max out the studs. With so many
      levels to play through (twice) you should not worry about it too much. Do
      not forget to switch on the Extras when you restart the game again.

There and back (10)
Description: Destroy 10 objects in one Batarang throw.
Note: You must have the Batarang suit upgrade for this. Easy place is the
      garden (A Poisonous Appointment - Heroes 1-4 or Green Fingers - Villains
      1-3).

Throwing up (20)
Description: Throw 50 policemen with superstrength.
Note: Superstrength characters are Bane, Mr.Freeze, Killer Croc, Clayface and
      Man-Bat. The best level is Rocking the Docks (Villains 2-1) for
      respawning policemen. Press (B) and then (B) again to throw them.

Unbreakable (30)
Description: Finish a level without dying (Character) with no extras.
Note: This one sounds hard but I got it automatically in each playthrough. The
      best solution is maybe find a level you are good at, or a short one like
      Two-Face Chase (Heroes 1-3). Make sure your extras are disabled.

Vigilante (25)
Description: Rescue 25 civilians.
Note: This is a multi-level achievment and you best keep track of your progress
      from the beginning as you might just have to replay each level again
      later to ensure they have all been tagged as rescued. CyricZ's
      walkthrough has a list of them I highly recommend.

Who needs curiosity? (20)
Description: Defeat Catwoman 9 times.
Note: You DO NOT have to replay There She Goes Again (Heroes 2-1) nine times;
      in fact I do not even know if those defeats count as the scene takes
      over. Instead, make your second character Catwoman and defeat her nine
      times. Easy.
