    Hello and welcome to my fourth venture into the marvelous world of FAQs. This
    time around I'll be covering the Character Abilities for every character in
    this wondrous game known as Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Now, what do I mean by
    character abilities you ask? Well each character gets their own set of 
    Battle Skills, Symbols, Special Arts and, Field Skills. Each ability requires 
    SP to increase it's level and some abilities get stronger as they gain levels.
    I will list the levels that each ability is obtained at and, for the ones that
    cannot be learned through leveling I will list the areas in which you can find
    the manual for the ability. Along with my own personal thoughts about each
    character's abilities and capabilities.

    Q: I'm out of SP for (random character) is there anyway for me to level 
    (random character)'s abilities?
    A: Yes, you can use Party SP to level your abilities simply by pressing X on
    the ability that you wish to level.
    
    Q: The chest that has (random ability) in it has a Holy/Fire barrier around 
    it, How do I open it?
    A: For the Holy barrier you need to defeat The Undying Dragon in The Palace 
    of Creation and get the Darkness Ring. For the Fire barrier you need to open
    the chest behind the platform that Gabriel Celeste resides upon.
    
    Q: The menu says that (Random Attack/spell) has a modifier of 
    *(random percentage), I have done the math and it's wrong. Why is this?
    A: I do not know why tri-Ace decided to do this but I can assure you that this
    FAQ will have the correct values for each modifier.

    There are 4 types of skills that you will learn in various ways during the 
    course of the game. The 4 types are Field Skills, Symbols, Special Arts and, 
    Battle Skills. Field Skills have a variety of different applications and 
    include things such as Menu commands, Item Creation and, enhancing your
    character's effectiveness in battle. Symbols are this game's equivalent to 
    magic and  come in 3 types, Healing, Offensive and, Support. Special Arts are 
    physically based attacks that are very useful and powerful, they come with a
    variety of different parameters and attributes. Battle Skills are skills that
    allow you to customize your characters to your own play style or simply 
    enhance the things they already excel at, these include Stat boosting skills
    that take effect once you begin battle, Battle commands that allow you to do a
    variety of different things, as well as skills that allow you to by-pass
    certain limitations.
    
    Chain Combos Explained: Essentially the Field Skill "Chain Combos" allows you
    to chain Special Arts and some Symbols(after completing a regular melee 
    combination or right away) into a combination of the corresponding set-up you 
    have set in the "Battle Config" section under the "Skills" tab in the menu.
    
    Tips:
    
    Each character has an "ology" skill which increase the drop rate of rare 
    items from certain enemy types. For this to actually take effect you need the
    character who has the corresponding skill to the enemy's type to actually 
    participate in the battle.

    Note: You must have the specific characters in the party with the right skill
          against the right enemy receive the -ology drops.
    Example: You must have Reimi in the party to obtain the -ology Drops from 
             Plant type enemies.  You do not need to be controlling her, just have
             her in the active party.

    Level up Chain Combos for your melee oriented characters as soon as possible.
    It will help immensely with their damage output.
    
    Party SP can be used to level up skills, Donít forget about it!
    
    Auto-Healing is one of the easiest ways to make your life easier in combat no
    matter who has it set.
    
    Fury Boost is a good way to keep yourself alive in those really tough battles.
    
    Fast Cast is an absolute essential for any Symbol oriented character.
    
    Hide can save you a lot of trouble especially if you're using one of the more
    fragile characters.
    
    Mindflare is useful once you hit the higher levels and the actual tripled 
    cost of the spell is miniscule when compared to your overall MP pool, it can
    be great for pumping out that extra damage when it counts most.

    General Overview of Edge: Edge is the typical well rounded 
    "Middle of The Road" type when it comes to his stats. This is both good and 
    bad as he doesnít out perform anyone but he isnít a slouch in a fight either. 
    He has a wide range of abilities and can be very useful in many situations. He
    is also an effective melee character with some pretty powerful Special Arts 
    which includes the game's strongest Special Art in terms of it's modifier. He
    is the most versatile member of the cast by far.

    General Overview of Arumat: He has the highest Initial ATK/HIT/INT stats of 
    all the characters which as I'm sure you've figured out makes him an absolute 
    dynamo when it comes to damage. He also has a decent DEF stat and the second
    highest HP stat to back up all that offensive prowess. He also uses a Laser
    Scythe which fits his sarcastic yet adequate self labeling of "Death itself".
    He is definitely the best melee character in the game on paper but he doesnít
    benefit from any of the "exploits" that Reimi and Meracle do unfortunately but
    that certainly isnít a reason for you to shy away from him because he still
    gets the job done by far when it comes to damage output, plus he just looks
    bad ass. I wouldn't advise using his Symbols because his Special Arts are
    among the best of the best. His Blindside animation is also very useful since
    he essentially dematerializes but it can get you in trouble if you're
    countered.

    Skill Manuals can be found in many locations across the star ocean. Coming
    from quest completion or from chests, and even being sold in shops. Each
    Manual will be listed with every method or location included. Keep in mind that
    Any Skill Manual (or any item in the game for that matter) has the ability to
    appear in a random chest in the Wandering Dungeon.  The spawn rate is low, but
    it's possible to get any Manual down there so that will not be included. 
    
    
    You will need rings to open some of the chests which contain manuals. Here is
    a quick list of the rings and what they remove

    Light Ring    - Allows you to remove Light-element objects with the B button
