Grinding for cp and gil?

Im finally at chp 11 and im still in the beginning. I jsut beat hope's summon after 4 tries and i just got to the new places where there are a lot of monster and i can see this very BIG monster thats like 1000 times my sizes ><. I just saw this rock thingy where i can accept it for missons or whatever that is(the thing that is a crystal and u want to help it to finish its focus, and Jw r those the missions everyone is talking about? and after i finish those mission do i have to go back to it to get my reward or do i get my reward after i kill the monster?)

Now back on topic, everyone is saying that chp 11 is the best for farming. So im wondering where to farm for gil(gold) and cp too.
and how do i beat the black behmonoth thingy, its like the first monster u see once u come into this new area and its fighting 3 other monster. Cuz when i fight them, the black bemonoth kills me in one hit ....

and thanks ^^

Like RJ said, this isn't really the time for farming. However, doing the Cie'th Stone missions (yes, those are the missions everyone talks about) gets you some good treasures and CP, and if you do them in relative order they shouldn't give you too much trouble.

If you're looking to farm things in serious mode, continue the story until you get Vanille's summon and her Death spell, then you can start farming Adamantoises (the giant turtles with tusks). Use Vanille as your leader, summon, spam Death, and hope it works.

As for the behemoths, preemptive strikes always help, but barring that go for protective equipment like Black Belts or Clay Rings (usefel against their Sunder attack). Could always just go Sen/Med/Com. It would take forever, but it would probably work.

You really shouldn't grind until after the game is finished. That is when you unlock all of the upgrades. Don't even try and beat the large creatures at this stage you simply can't.
But if you are strugeling with the normal battles then i recomend fighing the little bat like creature you find around the treasure sphere's. They are easy to kill & you get alot of CP from them. But make sure you kill them quickly, cos they can summon more powerful enemys.
As for gill, don't bother until post game, its hard enough then.

Oh, in addition, you get mission rewards as soon as it's dead, and Adamantoises give 40,000 CP and drop Platinum Ingots (worth 150,000 gil) and Trapezohedrons (for upgrading to ultimate weapons).
