Question from saiyan29
How do I beat Archdemon?
I have been able to get him to 50% hp then after he calls his minions of doom ...they just overwhelm me and i cant seem to kill them ..i have even changed the difficulty to casual ...i need some strategies or tips for this part of the battle ...thank you
You have to use the command army ability. you can still use it during this fight. i suggest calling either the dwarfs or the human warriors. let the army npc's deal with the baddie spawns and focus on the boss. when the dragon flys to the platform where you cant hit him either use a ranged dps player ( dont know what class you are), or if you are a warrior you can use the ... ( cant remember the correct spelling)... the giant crossbows on some of platforms. this will take a while since the dragon will be spiting fire at you. once you have done enough damage the dragon will fly to another platform where you can reach him. hopefully you still have army npcs up who will also help you. from there it is pretty much just kill'em as fast as you can. the best advise i can offer is to be careful how you use your army as you move to the tower so you will have enough to be of use to you during the fight.. also make sure you have plenty of mana pots with you, when i did this my healer blew through the pots i have about halfway through the fight... and i had a good many. it gets kinda painful when your heals has no mana to heal with.

I also did this on casual. If you'll notice, there are 3 different Bastilla(? giant crossbows) around the roof. Shoot him with one while your guys take care of the grunts. I ended up switching crossbows and hitting him from both sides before he finally came back to attack me some more.
I kinda made it on the skin of my teeth, tho, as I didnt notice the grunts were killing my team till they were all dead. Fortunately I had 50+ potions, cause I used almost all of them.
The balista can be a spoiler as well, it can be used to defeat the archdemon..Once he leaves the platform he jumps onto after you decrease his health half way you can blast him with the balista. When he jumps off the platform you can continue to blast him with the balista granted you move into a proper position to do so. Then continue to fire with minimal issue defending your position after dealing with straglers that follow you to your new position. So just keep on firing away, he will not die by the balista attacks. You are required to hit him for the final kill, or at least that was my experience on casual. Normal and Hard, little diffrent.
