BATMAN: Arkham Asylum - Riddler Challenge solutions

Some basic info:
================= 
This guide was writen while playing the Xbox 360 version.

When you’ve entered a room with a unsolved riddle, it will pop up in green 
underneath the room’s name as you enter. Also, while you’re in the room, if
you go to the Riddler’s Challenge screen, the box for that particular 
riddle will pulse.

The teeth challenges stack; EG get 5 teeth, get 10 teeth - you only need to 
find 10 teeth total to get both. Or, once you’ve found the first 5, you only
need to find another 5 to get the 10. 

You always collect the Patient tapes and Arkham Chronicles is the correct 
order.

Some of the Joker Teeth don’t appear until after certain story events, so if
they’re not where they should be, come back later.

Teeth = 50 EXP each. Chronicle of Arkham, Secrets Map, Patient tape, 
Riddle = 200 Exp each

Directions are given via the map screen, always assume the top is North.

I’ve numbered the challenges - #01-#20 for the outside maps, and #01-30 for
the inside maps. Top row is #01-#05, second row is #06-#10, and so on.

INTENSIVE TREATMENT

#03: Chronicle of Arkham (Requires Batclaw/Ultra batclaw)
Transfer Loop, S/E junction. Stand outside the Decontamination room’s door,
and look west. It’s a vent cover quite high up, above the Joker defaced
portrait of the warden. Batclaw the cover off and rappel up.

#04: Chronicle of Arkham
Secure Transit; As you climb up the elevator shaft. You can’t miss it, 
you’ll be prompted to scan it. It’s right at the very top, just before 
the fight. 

#05: Chronicle of Arkham (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Secure Transit: Quite near the top, there’s a section as you climb up, on 
the north side, where you jump over then duck under some metal grating. 
While you’re ducked under, look left (into the shafts) for a way to crawl 
through. Blow the left wall and scan the tablet.

Intensive Treatment Lobby: Scan the Picture of Warden Sharp in the South

#08: Riddle "You Don't know Jack about Gotham. Tune in to Find out."
Utility Corridor: Scan the radio on the bench near the first set of 
lockers.

#09: Riddler Trophy
Decontamination: On the West wall, half way down (in the curved bit), 
there’s a grate on the floor that you can remove, get into the crawl space 
to find the trophy.

#10: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer) 
Decontamination: It’s in the N/W corner. Use the Sequencer on the Security 
door, so you can pick up #28: Patient Tape (Harley Quinn). Climb the ladder 
in the room, and the Trophy is up there.

#11: Riddle "A Top hat and tails is the only dress code for this party 
             in the north."
Transfer Loop: In the N room, between the two junctions, duck to get in the 
room with the half open door, and scan the ‘Iceberg lounge’ poster.
UNLOCKS: Penguin Character Bio. 

#12: Riddle "Where would you find my Home Sweet Home?"
Environment scan The Riddler’s cell, it’s in the Holding Cells area, 
North East corner, filled with Green question Marks. Scan the biggest one. 

#13: Mystery (Intensive Treatment Secrets Map) 
Secure Transit: In the very bottom of the lift shaft(only opens up later in 
the game when you’re chasing Scarecrow), there’s an office up some steps, 
and the map is on  a desk.

#14: Riddler Trophy
Processing Corridor, S/E section. In the vent system, you should come 
across it as you escape from the Patient Pacification Chamber.

#15: Riddler Trophy (Requires Batclaw)
Secure Transit: Quite early on the climb, just after the double rappel 
section, before you jump across the gap, look left for the vent cover. 
Batclaw it off, and jump across.

#16: Riddle "Dr. Jonathan Crane plans on elevating fear to new depths."
Secure Transit: Climb down the Unbroken Elevator shaft, and look towards 
the destroyed one. There’s a vent on the wall. Climb through and turn 
right to find the scarecrow’s lair. Scan as soon as you enter it.

#17: Riddle "Hook up with the relatives before you're transferred out of 
             here." 
(requires Cryptographic Sequencer)
Cell Block Transfer: S/E corner, a small office behind a security door. 
Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the control box right next to the door, 
and scan the photo on the desk.
            
#18: Patient tape (Harley Quinn) 
Intensive treatment Lobby: On a desk in the central office (N/E side), 
under the glass ceiling bit.

#19: Riddler Trophy
Patient Pacification chamber: S/W corner of the section where you fight 
Zsasas, behind a vent cover.

#20: Riddler Trophy
Secure Treatment Transfer: The control room opposite from the one with the 
guard in it.

#21: Riddle "Even I was Shocked when I saw how Maxie Zeus was treated!" 
(Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Patient Pacification Chamber: Behind a weak wall, S/E corner. 
Scan the book on the bed.           
Unlocks: Maxie Zeus Character Bio.

#22: Patient tape (Harley Quinn) (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer(?)) 
Secure Transit: In the Control room to the East, at the very top. 

#23: Patient tape (Harley Quinn) (Requires Upgraded Crypto Sequencer)
Cell Block Transfer: There’s a small office in the N/E corner, guarded 
by a security door. The box to open the door is in the room, and you can’t 
reach it until you’ve upgraded the Cryptographic Sequencer’s range.

#24: Riddler Trophy
 Holding cells: S/E corner, behind a vent cover.

#25: Riddler Trophy (requires Batclaw)
 Patient Pacification chamber: N/W corner, behind a vent cover near the   
 ceiling. 

#26: Riddle "A puzzle has many sides, but only some are visible."
Intensive Treatment Lobby: In the central office, on the West side 
(the section with the glass ceiling). Enter detective node, and look through 
the window towards the South. There’s a question mark on the glass, you need 
to line this up with the dot, which is underneath a large, circular grill on 
the far South wall (to the right of Frank Boles body).

#27: Patient tape (Harley Quinn) 
Secure Transit: In the control room on the level where you first enter.

#28: Patient tape (Harley Quinn) (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer) 
Decontamination: The Room in the N/W, behind a security door has the tape 
on the desk as soon as you walk in.

#29: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Utility Corridor. As soon as you enter from the Intensive treatment lobby, 
destroy the weak wall facing you and collect.  

#30: Riddler Trophy (Requires Line Launcher)
Maintenance Access: Once you have re-entered Intensive Treatment later in 
the Game. Before you crawl through the vent in the middle of the room, jump 
up onto the grill in the middle of the room, and walk North to get into the 
cage with the trophy.
UNLOCKS: Challenge Map - Sewer Bat (Extreme)

ARKHAM ISLAND EAST
===================

#01: Riddler Trophy
Grapple up to the balcony above the mansion’s main door, then grapple up
onto the left side of the roof, and run back to the clock tower. Grapple 
up to the level with the clock faces, and the trophy sits in front of the 
West face.
UNLOCKS: Victor Zsasz Character Trophy.

#02: Riddler Trophy
East of the Botanical gardens entrance is a small hut (in the cemetery). 
Inside the hut on a table is the trophy.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Frank Boles.

#03: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)
There’s a concrete building just in front of the mansion. Disable the 
security door, and collect the Trophy. #13, the Secrets Map, is also in
here.UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Poison Ivy

#04: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
To the left of the mansions main entrance, in front of the small garden, 
is a weak block of flooring. Find it in Detective mode and blow it with 
gel, collecting the Trophy.

#05: Riddler Trophy
Left of the mansion’s main entrance is a small garden with a locked gate. 
Climb the gate, and run to the back of the garden (as far East as possible)
Look up, and you will get two grapple points, one for the Roof, and a lower
one for a balcony. Go up to the balcony, and just behind the central brick
column is the Trophy. 

#06: Riddler Trophy
Grapple up to the balcony above the mansion’s main door, then grapple up 
onto the left side of the roof, and run back to the clock tower. Grapple up 
to the level with the clock faces, and stand on the S/W corner, 
facing West.On the  lowest roof below you is the trophy, drop down to get 
it.

#07: Riddler Trophy
Grapple up to the balcony above the mansion’s main door, then grapple up 
onto the left side of the roof, and run back to the clock tower. Just in 
front of a brick column to the North of the base of the clock Tower is the
trophy. 

#08: Riddler Trophy
To the very North of the cemetery which is on the right of the Botanical  
Gardens, is a patch of deep grass with this trophy in the middle of it.

#09: Riddler Trophy
On the roof of the N/E Guard Tower. Grapple all the way up to get it.
UNLOCKS: Blackgate Prisoners Character Trophy.

#10: Riddler Trophy 
To the South, there’s a little paved outcropping jutting off the island. 
On it is the trophy.

#12: Patient Tape (Joker) (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)         
The Guard Towers in the West have walkways leading to a office that is 
locked by a security door. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the nearby 
control box to get into the room and collect the Patient tape. #, Riddler
Trophy is also in this room.

#12: Patient Tape (Joker)
In the Guard Tower to the S/W, grapple up and it’s sitting on the table.

#13: Mystery (Arkham East Secrets Map) (Requires Crypto Sequencer)
There’s a concrete building just in front of the mansion. Disable the 
security  door, and collect the map. Trophy #03 is also in here.

#14: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)         
The Guard Towers in the West have walkways leading to a office that is 
locked by a security door. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the nearby 
control box to get into the room and collect the trophy. #11, Patient Tape
(Joker) is also in this room.
 
#15: Riddle "The Legacy of this island has been well and truly buried."
In the cemetery to the right of the Botanical Gardens, almost as soon 
as you enter, is a large, exposed grave, lit up. Scan the Headstone to 
solve the riddle.

Left of the mansion’s main entrance is a small garden with a locked gate. 
Climb the gate, and search the Mansion wall to your right. Over a low wall 
and between two plant beds is the Chronicle.

#18:Chronicle of Arkham (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw.)
On the East side of the steps leading to the botanical gardens is a weak 
wall. Demolish it with Gel or the Ultra Bat claw to get the chronicle.
 
#19: Riddle "Gotham’s greatest family towers over the city."
You need to zoom in and scan Wayne Tower, on the Cities shoreline. There 
any a few places you can get it from, but the best is to stand just right 
of the small, run down hut in the cemetery (East of the Botanical gardens 
entrance), and look N/E to find it. 
UNLOCKS Bruce Wayne Character Bio.

#20: Riddle "My challenges appear to those with the correct position 
             in Life." 
Grapple up to the balcony above the mansion’s main door, then grapple up 
onto the left side of the roof, and run back to the clock tower. Grapple 
up to the level with the clock faces, and stand with your back to the south 
face. On the ledge in front of you is a full stop; line it up with the 
large Question mark on the roof below.

ARKHAM ISLAND NORTH
====================

#01: Riddler Trophy (Requires Line Launcher)
From the West guard tower’s hut, face West to spot a well lit alcove on the 
same level. Use the Line Launcher to get across to a small alcove and 
collect the trophy.

#02: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw)
In detective mode, face West from the West side of the West guard tower to 
spot a section of weak wall about half way up. Pull it down with the Ultra 
Batclaw, and grapple up for
UNLOCKS Character Trophy - Henchman on Titan.

#03: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Between the two concrete outbuildings in front of the main entrance to  
Intensive Treatment, there’s a section of weak floor that can be demolished 
to reveal this trophy.

#04: Riddler Trophy
There’s a ruined building to the North West. Walk in through the main door, 
and just on your left is the trophy.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Aaron Cash.

#05: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)         
Just to the left of the Main gate, in the North of the map, is a small room 
with a security door. The box to open the door it is in the room, and 
you’ll need the normal sequencer to reach it. 
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Arkham Inmates                  

#06: Riddle "Now I see it, now you don’t!"
There’s a ruined building to the North West. Stand on the bottom step of 
the entrance, turn on detective mode and look up. There’s a question mark 
on the stone at the top of the door ways arch, and the full stop is on 
the ceiling inside. Line them up and scan them to solve this riddle.

#07: Riddler Trophy
To the east of Intensive treatment is a long wall. Climb over it, and then 
grapple to the roof of Intensive treatment. Grapple up a second time, and 
look towards the South; there’s a clearly lit alcove. Jump over to it, and 
collect the trophy. 

#08: Riddler Trophy
Just to the left of the Door to Arkham West, up on the roof of Intensive 
Treatment building, is a grapple point. Use it, and turn left, walking over
a small roof to find this trophy.
UNLOCKS Character Trophy - Warden Quincy Sharp

#09: Riddler Trophy
Grapple to the very top of the East Guard tower, and look North, on the 
rocks in front of you is the trophy, Glide down to get it.

#10: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw)
To the east of Intensive treatment is a long wall. Climb over it, and then 
run to the South wall. There’s a cave entrance. Enter, and grapple up. 
Grapple up again, to a door, then turn around so the door is to your back, 
and use the Ultra Bat claw to pull down the weak wall (use detective mode if
it helps find it). Jump across for the trophy.
UNLOCKS Character Trophy - Joker.

#11: Riddle "Let’s face it, there are two Dents on the wall." 
(Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)         
There’s a small concrete outbuilding, West of Intensive treatment’s main  
entrance. Use the sequencer to disable the security door (the box is right 
next to the door), and scan a close up of the Dent poster on the wall. 
The patient tape for # , is also in here.
UNLOCKS: Character Bio - Two-Face.

#12: Riddler Trophy
Grapple to the very top of the West Guard Tower to find this trophy.

#13: Mystery (Arkham North Secrets Map) (Requires Ex Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
There’s a small concrete outbuilding, East of Intensive treatment’s main  
entrance. Climb up onto the roof and find the weak section, blowing it 
with explosive gel (or Using the Ultra Batclaw from the Guard Tower) to drop
in and get the map.

#14: Arkham Chronicle
To the east of Intensive treatment is a long wall. Climb over it, and then
run to the South wall. There’s a cave entrance. Enter, and grapple up. 
Immediately on your left is the chronicle.  

#15: Arkham Chronicle
There’s a ruined building to the North West. Walk in through the main door,
and look up; there are two grapple points. Grapple to the lower point and 
just on your left the chronicle.

#16: Riddle "Tweedledum and Tweedledee SAW it, can you SEE it?"
Just to the right of Arkham’s Main Gate (Follow the main path North), 
there are two see-saws. Scan them to solve the riddle.
UNLOCKS: Character bio - Tweedledee and Tweedledum

#17: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
To the east of Intensive treatment is a long wall. Climb over it, and then 
run to the South wall. There’s a cave entrance. Enter, and grapple up. 
Grapple up again, to a door, and go through, following the corridor to a 
largish room. On your right is a weak wall that can be demolished with 
Explosive gel or the Ultra Batclaw, revealing the trophy.

There’s a small concrete outbuilding, West of Intensive treatment’s main  
entrance. Use the sequencer to disable the security door (the box is 
right next to the door). The tape is right on the desk inside. Also in here
is the solution to #11’s Riddle.

Grapple up to the West Guard Tower. On a desk inside is the tape.

ARKHAM ISLAND WEST
===================

#01: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw)
Not technically in Arkham West, but actually in the passage way that 
connects Arkham West to Arkham North. Mid way in the passage, look up to 
see a ‘H’ shaped Concrete structure. Grapple on top of it, and use 
detective vision to look North; it’s quite high up, but you can pull the 
weak wall down with the Ultra Batclaw, and grapple up to get the trophy.
UNLOCKS Invisible Predator Challenge map.

#02: Riddler Trophy
Stand with your back to the Arkham North door. To your left is a waterfall;
drop down in to the gully, and on the other bank is the trophy. You will 
need to grapple one of the concrete struts to get out.

#03: Riddler Trophy (Requires Line Launcher)
Grapple up onto the roof of the Medical building, and head to the N/W 
corner, and the small roof. Stand on the far side, and look East. 
There’s a small ledge with the trophy on it; Use the line launcher to get 
across.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Batwing.

#04: Riddler Trophy
Grapple up onto the roof of the Medical building, and head to S/W, and the 
small roof. On the far side sits this trophy.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Batmobile.

#05: Riddler Trophy (Requires Batclaw/Ultra Batclaw)
Just to the right of the main entrance to the penitentiary, up on the wall, 
is a vent cover. Pull it off with either one of the Batclaws, and climb 
in to find the trophy. 

#06: Riddler Trophy  (Requires Upgraded Cryptographic Sequencer)
In the N/W section, up above the main door to the Penitentiary, is a 
room sealed off with a security door. The box to take down the door is in 
the room, beyond the door, but with the Upgraded Sequencer, you can reach it.
Inside is the trophy, as well as the solution to #18, a Riddle.

#07: Riddler Trophy
Just N/W of the jetty near the two ruined ambulances is a small hut. Grapple
on to the roof, and look along the S/E edge (between the roof peak and the 
tyres) for this trophy.

#08: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)       
In front of the Medical building, on the docks level, is a lift platform. 
Use the sequencer to blow the nearby control box (the one underneath the 
big red ‘medical’ sign), which raises it, allowing you to get underneath 
and collect the trophy.

#09: Riddler Trophy (Requires Batclaw/Ultra Batclaw)
Not technically in Arkham West, but actually in the passage way that 
connects Arkham West to Arkham North. Mid way in the passage, look up to 
see a ‘H’ shaped Conrete structure. Grapple on top of it, and look for the 
vent cover on the East wall. Pull it off, and climb up to get the trophy.

#10: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw)
There’s a small tunnel in front of the door to Arkham East; in detective 
mode, look up while in it to spot a weak ceiling. Use the Ultra Batclaw to 
bring it down, and grapple up for the trophy.

#11: Riddler Trophy
Hidden in the bushes, directly underneath the lone guard tower.    

#12: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel)
Not technically in Arkham West, it’s actually in the 'Abandoned tunnel'
that connects Arkham West to Arkham East. Enter from Arkham west, and 
before you go up the steps look left; you can see the trophy behind some 
bars. Find the grapple point above it, and climb up. There’s a section of 
weak floor that you can destroy, and drop down to get the trophy.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Scarface.

#13: Mystery (Arkham West Secrets Map) (Requires Crypto Sequencer)       
There’s a small port-a-cabin in the middle of the map, near two wrecked 
ambulances. Use the sequencer on the box next to the security door to 
disable it, and grab the map from the table inside.

#14: Patient Tape (Joker)
Just N/W of the jetty near the two ruined ambulances is a small hut. Inside 
the hut on a crate is the tape.  

#17: x10 Teeth

#16: Riddler Trophy
On a ledge directly over the main (first) door back to Arkham North.

#17: Riddle "Does Scarecrow’s gas break down barriers as it drives you 
             insane?" 
(Requires Ultra Batclaw)
In front of the door to Arkham East, there are two concrete support struts. 
Grapple up onto either one, and in detective mode, look up to the structure 
the struts run to, and find the weak wall. Pull it down with the Ultra 
Batclaw, and grapple inside. Scan the canisters with the red smiley faces 
on to solve the riddle.

#18: Riddle "Zsasz is counting on you finding his work."
(Requires Upgraded Cryptographic Sequencer)
In the N/W section, up above the main door to the Penitentiary, is a room 
sealed off with a security door. The box to take down the door is in the 
room, beyond the door, but with the Upgraded Sequencer, you can reach it. 
Inside the room, scan the dead guards at the table to solve the riddle. 
#06, a Riddler trophy is in here also.

#19: Riddle "Do you see what I can see? No? Then maybe I am in a 
             stronger position."
Grapple or run up to the top balcony of the Penitentiary, the level with the 
security door on it. Around the balcony’s edge, there are some posts, and 
the middle one has a full stop on it. On the courtyard below is the question 
mark - line them up and scan them to solve the riddle. 

#20: Chronicle of Arkham (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Stand near the ruined ambulances near the docks, and use detective vision to

Surgery Room: Grapple up to the balcony above the entrance, and scan the 
whiteboard to solve this riddle.

Sanatorium: About halfway along the tiles walkway, on the West side of the 
room, switch to Dectective vision to spot a weak section of floor (it’s 
the second cell on the right as you come up the ramp). Use Gel or the Ultra 
Batclaw to demolish it, and drop down for the chronicle, it’s behind you as 
you drop in. NOTE: you can also crawl in here from the vent access that 
runs along the West side of the lowest floor.

Sanatorium: it’s on a desk in the N/E corner of the room (turn left as you 
face the morgue elevator).

Patient Observation: In the inner room on the East side (with the weak 
ceiling) is a taped up cover for Gotham City Daily. Scan this to solve 
the riddle.

Medical Foyer: Stand with your back to the Sanatorium doors, and look at 
the wall in front of you with detective vision to spot the weak section. 
Use the grapple to get up there and scan the Chronicle.

Upper Corridor: Take the left turn after leaving Sanatorium, and on the 
North wall of that corridor is a vent. Enter and turn right to find the 
trophy.

#12: Patient Tape (The Riddler)
Experimental chamber: In the central sub room to the main room, there’s a 
desk that has this patient tape on it. 

#13: Mystery (Medical Facility Secrets Map)
Experimental chamber: There’s a table to your left as soon as the corridor 
opens out to a room; on the table is the map.

#14: Riddle "A question can only be answered from a new perspective. Don’t 
             you agree?"
Sanatorium: About halfway along the tiles walkway, on the West side of the

Once you’ve destroyed the floor, line up the question mark on the gap

X-Ray Room: High up on the wall, directly above the main door, is a weak 
section of wall. Pull it down with the Ultra Batclaw, and grapple up to 
decipher the chronicle.

#16: Riddler Trophy
Experimental chamber: This trophy is right behind a vent in the N/W corner, 
in the large open section of the room.

#17: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Sanatorium: On the lowest level, in the S/E corner is a small room, with a 
weak wall in it. Destroy the wall to get the trophy behind it. NOTE: you 
can also access this trophy by removing a vent from a small room to the 
lowest floors N/E corner, and making your way down to it.

#18: Riddler Trophy (requires Batclaw/Ultra Batclaw)
Patient Observation: Slap-bang in the middle of the East wall, just to the 
right of the small inner room, is a vent up on the wall. Use the Batclaw, or
Ultra Batclaw to pull it down, and grapple up to climb into the vent. Drop 
down into the room below, and collect the trophy.

#19: Riddle "What silent killer of the oceans can be found in a tiny jar?"
Morgue: Just on the ramp, in front of you as you enter, is a wheeled trolley
with some jars on it. Zoom in and scan the ‘Great White Shark’ label to 
solve the Riddle.

draws. One of them has a body in. Zoom in and scan the toe tag to solve the
riddle.

#12: Riddle: "Our records show that a Strange transfer request was made in

Arkham Records Room: to the middle of the room on the south wall is a 
security door. Use the sequencer on the box right next to it to take it 
down. The floor beyond is electrified, and the control box to turn that off
is in the room itself; if you have a couple of armour upgrades and run and
dodge, you can just about make it across, or you can get in safely with the
line launcher. Inside, on the right, in the middle section filing cabinets,
are some files labelled 'Strange Files'. Scan them to solve the riddle.

wall; Use the batclaw to pull it off, and climb into the vent shaft to gain

East Wing Corridor: Enter the room from the main hall, and go around the 
corner. Use detective vision to find a section of weak wall on the West

=============

Security Control Room: To the south of the room is a upper area with two 
cell doors. The furthest one can be blown with explosive gel, revealing the 
trophy.

#02: Riddler Trophy 
The Green Mile: In the sixth cell on your right as you enter from the main 
cell block is this trophy. You won’t be able to get it until you’ve almost 
finished in the Penitentiary.

#03: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Controlled Access: Up on the second floor, use detective vision to reveal 
three weak wall along the North section. Destroy the weak wall furthest 
West, and drop down into the cell below to pick up the trophy. You’ll need 
to grapple up to get out again.

#04: Riddler Trophy (Requires Crypto Sequencer & Ex Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Extreme Incarceration: Up in the main control room are six control boxes 
(they’re clearly numbered). You can hack number five with your sequencer, 
opening that cell. Once open, go into it to find trophy #04. As soon as you 
pick up the trophy, the door locks behind you (and Harley Taunts you). You 
can destroy the back wall with Gel or the Ultra Batclaw to get out. Scan the 
chronicle of Arkham #26 that is revealed while doing so, then grapple up and 
break another weak wall to get out.

#05: Riddler Trophy (Requires Batclaw/Ultra Batclaw)
Guard Room: Turn left as you first enter the guard room, and look quite high 
up on the wall for a vent. Pull it down with the Batclaw or Ultra Batclaw, 
and grapple up. It’s a long vent, but only goes one place; back to the main 
cell block. It drops you out in an upper area right on top of the trophy.

#06: Riddler Trophy (Requires Crypto Seqencer & Explosive gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Generator Access: Just to the left of the South exit of the main cell block is 
a weak wall. Destroy this to find the trophy. If you’re coming back later, 
you will need to disable the security door with the Sequencer first.  

#07: Riddler Trophy 
Main cell block: In the area beyond the narrow corridor to the west, once 
the story has progressed, you’ll find this trophy sat in a cell on the 
South wall.

#08: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer)  
Security Control Room: To the North is a upper area, with three cells. The 
middle cell has a drooling maniac in it, but the furthest one along has 
a trophy. Use the sequencer on the nearby control box to gain access to 
the cell.   
UNLOCKS: Intensive Treatment Extreme.

#09: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ex Gel & Ultra Batclaw & Line Launcher)
Guard room: Head left to the small control room. Grapple up onto a platform 
created by the air ducts, and use detective vision to find the weak wall. 
Demolish it, and then find the other weak wall, right on the other side of 
the room. Pull it down with the Ultra Batclaw, and use the line launcher 
to get across. Just through the door in front of you and to your right is 
the trophy.
UNLOCKS: Invisible Predator Extreme Challenge map.

#10: Riddler Trophy 
Cells Access: To the West, once you’ve walked in through the shower room, 
are some toilets. The trophy is in the last cubicle along on the gents side.

#11: Riddle "This room is the end of days for even the most celebrated
            killer." 
Main Cell Block: Just after the narrow corridor that leads to the West end
of the area, there is a cell filled with calendar pages. Scan this to solve
the riddle.
UNLOCKS: Character Bio - Calendar Man.

#12: Riddle "When is something right in front of you but still hidden 
            from view?" 
(Requires Ex Gel & Ultra Batclaw & Line Launcher)
Guard room: Head left to the small control room. Grapple up onto a platform
created by the air ducts, and use detective vision to find the weak wall.
Demolish it, and then find the other weak wall, right on the other side of
the room. Pull it down with the Ultra Batclaw, and use the line launcher to
get across. Look back to where you’ve come from with Detective vision on to
see the giant question mark; the full stop part is on the wall in the room
and the question mark is on the back wall of the level you’ve come from. 
Line it up and scan it to solve the riddle.

#13: Mystery (Penitentiary Secrets Map) 
Extreme Incarceration: In the little office that is directly below the main
control room, the map is sitting on the desk to your right.

#14: Patient Tape (Mr. Zsasz) 
Extreme Incarceration: On a desk, along the North wall of the main control
room.

#15: Patient Tape (Mr. Zsasz)
Main cell block: In the upper area, in the office to the North, on a desk.

#16: Riddle "All alone in your cell? Why don’t you break the ice with the
             most dangerous prisoners?"

Guard room: Head left to the small control room. Grapple up onto a 
platform created by the air ducts, and use detective vision to find the 
weak wall. Demolish it, and then find the other weak wall, right on the 
other side of the room. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull it down, and then 
either use the Line Launcher to get across, or throw a batarang at the 
control box to the left of the door you can now see - This turns on the 
fans and removes the gas. Jump down into the now clear room, and scan 
the Wanted poster on the N/E wall’s notice board to solve the riddle.

#23: Riddle "How do you reflect on your successes and failures, Batman?" 
Cells Access: To the West, once you’ve walked in through the shower room, 
are some toilets. On the far wall of the ladies is a full length mirror. 
Scan the mirror so that you catch you own reflection in it to solve the 
riddle.

#24: Patient Tape (Mr. Zsasz) 
Controlled Access: Up on the second floor, in a small office to the East, 
This tape is waiting for you on a desk.

Trophy). Use the Line Launcher to cross the electrified water, and just on
your right at the end of the tunnel is the chronicle. You can use the Line
Launcher to get back, or use the Sequencer to disable the control box on
the East wall, which turns off the electric.

Botanical Glasshouse: In the N/W corner of the mid-level balcony, off into 
the shrubbery, is a tea set. Scan this to solve the riddle.

#02: Riddle "Remember the Waynes? How could anyone forget?" 
Statue Corridor: Just a little way in, right in front of the door, is a 
bench. Zoom in on the dedication plaque, and scan it to solve the riddle.

Aviary: Just on a bench to the East, South of the Control room.

Pull it off and crawl inside; a little way in you will come across a grill 
on the floor, and below it a book, a pair of glove and some goggles. Scan 
these to solve the riddle.

#07: Riddle "This challenge can only be seen by those with a different view 
             on life." 
Abandoned Chamber: Enter from the South Door. Just as the chamber opens out, 
directly in front of you, on the level above, is a metal walkway. Use 
Detective vision to notice the rope holding it up, and cut it down with a 
batarang. Turn left, and jump across, before going down some steps and up 
the steps at the other side. Walk to the edge of the ledge, turn left. Jump 
to that platform. Jump across again, and make you way to the West wall. Jump 
up at the wall to find a hand hold, and edge across the ledge out to the 
waterfall. Climb up and put your back to the big round grate, so you can run 
and jump through the waterfall to the ledge across the way. Walk across the 
metal walkway you cut down earlier, and about half way across, there’s a 
brick ledge to your left that you can grab hold of. Edge along it to the 
left, round the corner, then climb up. Duck underneath the ruined brickwork 
to get to the end of the platform, and turn on detective vision to spot 
half a question mark. The other half is on a ledge below. Line them up and 
scan them to solve the riddle.

Glasshouse Entrance: On a bench in the N/E Corner sits the tape.

Flooded Corridor: In the main corridor part, there’s a ‘kink’ to the East. 
In the N/E corner of this kink is a bench with some wooden toys on it. 
Scan this to solve the riddle.

#12: Riddle "Is this a tribute to what a mad dog left behind?" 
Flooded Corridor: Just before the East exit is a headless statue. Zoom in 
and scan the plaque below to solve the riddle.

#13: Mystery (Botanical Gardens Secrets Map) 
(Requires Upgraded Cryptographic Sequencer)
Glasshouse Generator Room: High up on the East side of the room is a 
platform, grapple up. There’s a security door, and the box to take it down 
is in the room, behind the door. With the upgraded sequencer, you can reach 
it from the platform. Once the door is down, you can get in to pick up the 
map. #30, a Riddler Trophy is in here as well.

#14: Patient Tape (Poison Ivy) 
Flooded Corridor: Just before the East exit, on a bench along the North wall, 
is this tape.

#16: Riddle "There’s no closet in the gardens, so someone is using the 
             roof instead."
Aviary: On the West wall, Just left of the secret door, is a skelton 
embedded in the wall. Scan this to solve the riddle.

#17: Riddle "Is the number up for these guards?" 
Glasshouse Entrance: Just in the S/W corner of the main area is a park bench 
with two dead guards on it. Scan them to solve the riddle.

#18: Riddler Trophy    
(Requires Ultra Batclaw)
Enter from the South Door. Just as the chamber opens out, directly in front 
of you, on the level above, is a metal walkway. Use Detective vision to

#19: Riddler Trophy   
Abandoned Chamber: On the very lowest level, to the South of the central 
brick columns, is a metal grill on the ground. Climb in and across to climb 
out inside a metal cage like room, and to find this trophy.

#20: Riddler Trophy    
Botanical Glasshouse: On the second level, to the North, is a T-shaped 
series of metal grills on the floor. Climb in, and the trophy is under the 
Northern most one.

#21: Chronicle of Arkham
(Requires Line Launcher & Ultra Batclaw)
Titan Production Facility: From the main area, stand on the edge and look 
N/E with detective mode to see a weak wall. Pull it down with the Ultra 
Batclaw, and use the line launcher to get over there and scan the chronicle.

#22: Riddler Trophy    
Flooded Corridor: Just across from the water, on the left wall, is a vent. 
Pull it off and crawl inside; a fair way in you will come to a section where 
the vent branches into two directions. Take the right vent to find this 
trophy.

#23: Riddler Trophy    
Botanical Glasshouse: Behind the large fountain on the lowest level is a 
Weak wall. Destroy it, and climb into the vent behind it to find this 
trophy.

#24: Riddler trophy
Flooded corridor, over the gap in the eastern part of the room. 
Requires the Line launcher to cros the gap.

#25: Riddler Trophy    
Abandoned Chamber: Go the N/E section at the very bottom of the chamber, 
and jump down into the moving water. To your South is a low archway you can 
duck under, and beyond it is the trophy.

#26: Chronicle of Arkham
Abandoned Chamber: Enter from the South Door. Just as the chamber opens out, 
directly in front of you, on the level above, is a metal walkway. Use 
Detective vision to notice the rope holding it up, and cut it down with a 
batarang. Turn left, and jump across, before going down some steps and up 
the steps at the other side. Walk to the edge of the ledge, turn left. Jump 
to that platform. Jump across again, and make you way to the West wall. 
Jump up at the wall to find a hand hold, and edge across the ledge out to 
the waterfall. Climb up and put your back to the big round grate, so you can 
run and jump through the waterfall to the ledge across the way. Walk across 
the metal walkway you cut down earlier, and about half way across, there’s a 
brick ledge to your left that you can grab hold of. Edge along it to the 
left, round the corner, then climb up. Duck underneath the ruined brickwork 
to get to the end of the platform, and Take a running jump off, to grab 
hold of a narrow ledge. Shimmy along to the left, until you can pull 
yourself up, and in a corner of this alcove is the Chronicle.

#27: Chronicle of Arkham
Glass house entrance: As soon as you enter, there’s a ledge on your left. 
Jump up to find a vent. In the section that follows is the chronicle.

#28: Riddler Trophy    
Enter from the South Door. Just as the chamber opens out, directly in front 
of you, on the level above, is a metal walkway. Use Detective vision to 
notice the rope holding it up, and cut it down with a batarang. Turn left, 
and jump across, before going down some steps and up the steps at the other 
side. Walk to the edge of the ledge, turn left. Jump to that platform. 
Jump across again, and make you way to the West wall. Jump up at the wall 
to find a hand hold, and edge across the ledge out to the waterfall. Climb 
up and put your back to the big round grate, so you can run and jump through

S/E to see the trophy. Use the Line Launcher to get across there and pick 
it up.

#30: Riddler Trophy (Requires Upgraded Cryptographic Sequencer)
Glasshouse Generator Room: High up on the East side of the room is a 
platform, grapple up. There’s a security door, and the box to take it down 
is in the room, behind the door. With the upgraded sequencer, you can reach 
it from the platform. Once the door is down, you can get in to pick up

Caves
=======

#01: Patient Tape (Killer Croc) 
Requires Cryptographic Sequencer & Line Launcher)
Pump Room: Directly across from the main door is a platform in the S/W 
corner. You can only get to it with the Line Launcher, so use it to get 
over there and collect the tape.

#02: Patient Tape (Killer Croc) 
Surface Access: Just outside the West door that leads to the Main sewer 
junction, on a crate.

#03: Riddler Trophy (Requires Explosive Gel/Ultra Batclaw)
Old Sewer: About half way along the West wall of the North section (it’s 
quite a narrow corridor), is a weak section of wall. Demolish it to find 
the trophy.

#04: Riddler Trophy (Requires Line Launcher)
Old Sewer: Main south section, clearly visible on a ledge along the South 
wall. Just use the Line launcher to get over and pick it up.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Killer Croc.                 

#05: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw)
Start from the Batcave, and use the Ultra Batclaw on the S/E exit. Glide 
across to the first island, and right on the far West tip of the ledge sits 
this trophy.                 

#06: Patient Tape (Killer Croc) 
Control Room Access: Just out near a corner of the corridor, on a crate, 
is this patient tape.

#07: Patient Tape (Killer Croc) 
Old Sewer: Just to the left of the door to Croc’s Lair is a dead body, and 
the tape is near his body.

#08: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw)
Old Sewer: In the main South section, use detective vision to find a weak 
section of Ceiling. Pull it down with the Ultra Batclaw, and grapple up to 
get the trophy.                 

#09: Riddler Trophy                  
Main Sewer Junction: From the East door, jump across to the North platform. 
Up on the column in front of you is a ledge you can jump up and grab. Shimmy 
around the corner and climb up, then jump up again to find the trophy. 
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Commissioner Gordon.

#10: Riddler Trophy  (Requires Line Launcher)                
Main Sewer Junction: On a platform, directly across from the East door. Use 
the line launcher to get across to it.
UNLOCKS: Challenge Map - Rumble in the Jungle.

#11: Patient Tape (Killer Croc) 
Pump control room: The tape is on an oil drum, along the corridor to the 
North.

#13: Mystery (Caves Secrets Map)
Pump Control Room: The map is on a stool, just on the right a soon as you 
enter.

#14: Riddler Trophy                  
Main Sewer Junction: About half way through the room, you get to a aqua 
duct with some fast flowing water; visible on a platform across the way 
is the trophy just run and jump over to pick it up.
UNLOCKS: Challenge Map - Sewer Bat.

#15: Riddler Trophy (Requires Line Launcher)               
Main Sewer Junction: As you are climbing up to get to the pump control 
room, you have to climb on a platform supported by some arches. Before going 
into the pump room, walk to the East of the platform, turn South and look 
down, you’ll be directly over the trophy, jump down to get it.

#16: Chronicle of Arkham
Old Sewer: In the S/W corner of the main South section, right out in the 
open, is this chronicle.

#18: Riddler Trophy (Requires Batclaw/Ultra Batclaw)
Old Sewer: Up on the wall, just to the left of the East exit. There’s a 
vent cover you can pull off. Just behind it is the trophy.                 

#19: Riddler Trophy (Requires Line Launcher)
Croc’s lair: It’s clearly visible on a platform to the S/E. Use the Line 
Launcher to get over to it.
UNLOCKS: Challenge Map - Survival Tactics.               

#20: Riddler Trophy (Requires Ultra Batclaw & Line Launcher)
Start from the Batcave, and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the Weak 
wall across the gap to the S/E. Grapple up, and once outside, glide across 
between the rock pillars to the first island. Climb up, and use the line 
launcher to get to the second island. In the central chamber here, if you 
look carefully, there are two grapple points; on a ledge along the East 
wall, and one to a small opening to the North. Grapple up to the North one, 
and once out on the ledge, look N/E to see a small island in the distance. 
Glide over to it to find the trophy. To get back, just use the line 
launcher and climb up.
UNLOCKS: Record breaker extreme challenge room.

ruined brick column. Use the Line Launcher to get across.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - The Scarecrow.

#25: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer & Ultra Batclaw)
Pressure Control Junction: Along the West corridor, just up the steps on the 
North Wall is a section of weak wall, up near the ceiling. Use the Ultra 
Batclaw to pull down the weak wall, and jump up to get the trophy.

#26: Chronicle of Arkham 
(Requires Cryptographic Sequencer & Ultra Batclaw)
Pressure Control Junction: To the North, in the lift shaft, up on the North 
wall is a section of weak wall that can be pulled down with the Ultra 
Batclaw (if you come back late in the game, it will be destroyed anyway). 
Climb up to scan the chronicle.
 
#27: Riddle "A Puzzle has many sides, but only some are visible." 
Main Sewer Junction: From the East door, jump across to the North platform. 
Up on the column in front of you is a ledge you can jump up and grab. 
Shimmy around the corner and climb up, then climb up again. On the ruined 
bricks to your West is the full stop, and beyond it, up an arch way is the 
question mark. Line them up to solve the riddle.

#28: Riddler Trophy (Requires Cryptographic Sequencer & Ultra Batclaw)
Control Room: High up on the wall in the N/W corner is a section of weak 
wall. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull it down, and climb up to claim 
the trophy.                 

#29: Riddler Trophy                  
Main Sewer Junction: Enter from the South (Old Sewer) door, and clmb up and 
jump across to the first small metal walkway. Turn around to face West, and 
jump across to the metal walkway there. Once across, head around the brick 
pillar to find the trophy.
UNLOCKS: Character Trophy - Bane.

#30: Riddler Trophy                  
Main Sewer Junction: On the furthest East platform (on the platform before 
the one where you run up the first brick column), there is a ledge around 
the brick column to the West. Jump up, and shimmy along it to the South, 
and around the corner to find a section that you can climb up. Inside is 
the trophy.

Once you've collected all the Chronicles of Arkham, you have the opportunity 
to solve the final mystery; who wrote them. Even The Riddler can't solve 
this mystery; can you?

Arkham West. Penitentiary, in the Security Control Room - head to the small 
control room where you left the Warden. Yup, he's the guy who leaves the 
Chronicles. On the floor where you last saw him is the last of his mad 
rambilings, scan it for the achievement.
