Do enemies respawn?

Is there any place in the game where enemies respawn? I want to be able to play in one file where I can kill respawning enemies, not start over every time I beat the game.

Answer

They do respawn if they have a place to generate, like the hunters have igloos. but if you destroy the igloo or whatever spawning place they have, they don't respawn.
