"The Bear and Bird returns for another adventure"
Banjo Tooie was released first on the Nintendo 64 back in 2000.
Rare and L4J games has ported the sequal Banjo-Tooie to the XBox 360 a few months after the release of Kazooie on the 360.
Story : Grunty is back, but bony. With Banjo & Kazooie success on defeating the witch and saving Banjo's sister Tooie, the 2 duo have a much needed rest and play cards with bottles and mumbo. However the sisters of Grunty brings her back and then the quest once again begins when Grunty blows up banjo's house and kills Bottles. If you thought Banjo Kazooie was challenging, prepare for an epic adventure of fun.
Gameplay : Rare has kept the gem of Kazooie alive by bringing all the traditional platforming along with new stuff. The worlds are bigger and more expansive, the game has new moves for you to learn, each world is interwined with each other. Jiggies once again take form as you collect more you unlock new worlds, over 9 huge worlds are yours to explore but you need the jiggies to unlock them. Along jiggies, you have notes to collect for new moves, Jinjos to save and return home. With the power of the 360, the game displays in HD beatifully and plays quite well the framerate issues in the n64 version is no longer there. The stop and swop items can finally be unlocked in this game by playing through kazooie, your save file in kazooie will be used in tooie to unlock some cool secrets.
Sound : All the sounds and musicof the n64 versaion is intact.
Replay value : With 90 jiggies to collect, tons of jinjos to save and notes to find, the game is huge filled with secrets and cheats to unlock. Multiplayer is available but only via local. There are leaderboards for friends to compare scores. The game could take you 10-30 hours to finish depending on how much exploring you want to do.
Achievement difficulty : The achievements are pretty much easy to unlock.
Gameplay : 10
Sound : 10
Replay value : 10
Achievements difficulty : easy
overall score 10/10 = perfect.
